Good day pat,
I am currently a representative in district 4852 and am under mary jo domanski. I became an avon representative about 27 months ago. The main reason for me to become a representative was to do it to occupy some of my time in the evenings while making a little bit of spending cash.
My first district manager was a gal by the name of amanda merritt (?). At no time did she ever contact me nor direct me in some of avon’s policies and procedures. When signing me up, she didn’t direct me to avon’s website for representatives, send me a welcome kit, nothing.
After that there were a few months of no district manager and then I had one mary (Whom I thoroughly enjoyed working with) and now I have mary jo domanski who only seems to know me when my account is behind or I haven’t placed an order in a few campaigns. Then at that, it’s her assistant who telephones, not me. I receive a mass text telling everyone on that text that our account is behind and we will need to make a payment prior to order submission. I finally had to text her and tell her separate texts should be sent as this is private info between the rep and her manager.
Now my avon account is locked because of my balance and I was told by the district assistant that unless I place a brochure order, my avon account will be closed!
When did all of these new rulings happen? I was never led to believe if you don’t produce and place an order each campaign that your account will be closed. My problem is that I have had customers who haven’t paid me so I am stuck with the product and the bill and a balance.
Last campaign mary jo told me that if I paid the $191, then she would be able to get my order released. When I asked her for a confirmation that this was indeed the case, I received no response (I have the texts to back up my concerns). Currently I owe avon $399.00, which will be paid in full in the next few weeks.

I went into selling avon as a hobby, not a fulltime job. All I seem to hear now is sell, sell, sell or you won’t have an account. Since when did avon become this way?
I also have a credit limit of $600 which I would think you would be able to use and not have your account shut down for payments.
To be honest with you, I would absolutely love to continue with avon but under another district leader. I feel that although mary jo is a great person, I personally think she runs by the seat of her pants and back pedals all of the time. The only time I hear from her is when my account is behind or I haven’t placed an order.
Keep in mind that I have never been under the realm of someone who truly invested in me as an avon representative.
Please email me back with your suggestions, concerns and where to go from here. I would prefer to deal direct with you until I can be switched into a new district. I hope you understand.
I work a fulltime job so I am unavailable to talk during the day so I would definitely prefer to stay in touch via email.
Pat, thank you for your help and expertise in helping me with avon, I value your input.
Sincerely,
Ruthann johnson
(As of the writing of this to avon, dec. 23, l 2014, I have not heard back from pat haberman nor my district manager, mary jo domanski. What type of company is avon running? Prompt response is greatly appreciated.

incompetence of management
Good day I use to be an avon sales representative, when I stopped selling I advised the manager in charge her name was shamila abilla. A year later when I want to buy a house I realized that there are arrears reflecting on my avon account and the arrears were suppose to have been cleared last year by the manager that I was under, I have contacted avon and the staff is very unhelpfully im told I have to wait for 7days for them to conduct investigations for something that is not my fault, no one is giving me feed back about my query, I have to always call them and when I do call the person by the name of abida blom who is suppose to be handling my query hands me over to other people to speak to, without explaining to me who im speaking to, and I end up having to explain the whole story over and over again, they have requested an affidavit and proof of payment I have sent them all relevant documentation when I call them to find out if they've received the documentation im told that my emails are not clear, the proof of payment I sent them I received from one of the avon managers seipati maluleka, when I tell them that I got the proof of payments from seipati they claim not to know a seipati and they ask me for seipati's information instead of going the extra mile to resolve my query and try to find out which branch seipati is in.

no delivery
Avon is blaming all their non deliveries on the post office strike in sa, but in reality its just their general bad service that has reached the top now. I'm still waiting for my campaign 10 orders and the deadline for campaign 11 is already around the corner. Due to my customers being used to avon's bad service - they refuse to pay before their products are delivered - I also prefer it this way as I don't have the money to refund them when their goods are not delivered - something avon just don't care about at all. What does'nt make sense is the fact that they managed to deliver my campaign 11 orders i've placed so far, but still not campaign 10 - one should think you start delivering the oldest outstanding products. Now they've put my new order on hold - requesting payment 1st... But the orders they are holding back - is already paid - long time ago! The customers are now requesting their money back as they have been waiting for their deliveries for more than a month now... How exactly am I suppose to refund them if all the moneys are paid into avon's account?
I have been trying to sort this with avon for more than a week now... With no response or feedback or assistance.
i just want to know should i go to the police or do something becuz i did not take anything
i was told that i owe avon but what i do know i dont when the delevery man called and asked me if im at home i said no and i did not give them any orders or what so ever they just send it so i cenceld it but now i dont no what to do please help and the main thing is i did not take thje stock should i go to the police
incompetence of accounts dep
I had an account with avon and it was paid up on the 21 october 2013, but this account has not been cleared/updated on my credit profile till this day... I have complaining calling but till this day it has not been updated... I intend on taking further steps against avon as I have given them time to rectify this but due to incompetence this has not been resolved.
credit note and order being withheld
I have a good paying avon rep for 3 years and for the first time in 3 year I had a credit note outstanding for almost 3 months and up to this day is still outstanding. So due to the credit note outstanding my order was being withheld until I paid that amount and still I did not get the service I deserved because its not mine or my clients fault my team leader cant do her job. Im very disappointed in avon service!

my account was paid in full and closed avon sent me a bill with a different account no on it saying i owed this bill when i call i told them it was not my bill and where were the product sent they were sent to the ladys house i signed up with to sell avon i called her she didn, t know anything about this matter either i have been frauded by avon and have lost all my faith in them as a company i have called many times and they keep telling me they are looking into the matter but then i get a bill from collection company i am not paying for something i didn't order or recieve again made a call they are looking into it i guess my next step will have to file fraud chargers
charged me my & one time & start-up fee, three times
My complaint is that on thursday, sept 18th I signed up to be a rep for avon. Something glitched and anyways, they charged me my one time start-up fee of $15, 3 times. So now I am missing an additional $30 from my bank account, which doesn't have my husband too happy. Then, after calling 3 different numbers, being on hold, and give the "run-around", I was told to "watch my account" because the two additional charges "shouldn't go through". Well they did. I am still waiting for someone to get in touch with me. My district sales managers, or whatever you want to call them, haven't done ### to help me out, and seem like they don't even care and keep brushing it off with "well just wait until I talk to so and so, and see what she has to say. " no ###, I want my money back! I was sent two start-up packages, not just one, and when I took it to my sales-manager, whatever she is, she told me to "take it home and just keep it somewhere" until she could decide what I should do with it. Needless to say, it is now monday night. I have 5000 booklets and brochures, I am missing $30 from my account that no one seems to care about, and oh yeah, at my "training" today, they never once told me how to complete an order or accept a payment, so I have no idea how to friggen do it. I'm not completing or accepting a single order until someone helps remove those other two charges from my account. Basically, not too sure I want to work for and make money for a company who treats their reps like this, let alone sell their product. If this doesn't get resolved soon, you better bet your ### i'll make the biggest ### out of avon that there ever could be.

scam
I was with avon for 3 years. I was in honor society and leadership to the level of executive unit leader. Avon has changed their pay policy so even at these levels you do not make money. Worse yet, my account I had paid $235 over what I owed. Avon was supposed to return that to me in july. Today is august 25, 2014 and I still have not received it. So in my opinion avon is nothing but a scam by taking away and lowering our pay. They are also a scam because if they owe you money they refuse to send it to you. By the way I have gone all the way to the office of the president and they don't care!

avon scam
Avon scammed me into receiving a discount on products if signed to be a representative.
They state you will automatically be removed by not ordering for two campaigns following your order.
They give you no copy of what you signing and promise to drop it off at a later date which does not occur.
When receiving your order, they send you products you did not order and then 2 months later send you a bill.
This is desperation and imagine if all companies were permitted to do this.
Avon needs to be stopped for their dishonesty and scamming ways and pushing products on people to make money.
Be careful of Avon and it's dishonest representatives and area managers.

not supporting their representatives
I am an Avon Representative and have been bankrupted buying their products to facilitate customers. I am not even benefiting a dame or getting back what I spent for customers. I have been charged $57 fine after all my attempts to return a customers dress which costs $16. Management says they cannot help out in any way and I should pay this fine. This is highly inappropriate for troubling their own representatives who are actually Avon customers indirectly. Reps are their free advertisement agents and we reps spend out of our pocket to buy their brochures, sample products etc with no return on investment. I highly discourage this practice of Avon and I will not be buying a single piece of their brand anymore.

fraudulent claim
I received a call from Avon Resume after receiving my CV which I send on [protected]@avonresumes.com, (official email id of Avon Resumes). After 10 to 15 days, on 15th Feb I received a call from Avon Resume Executive offering me a accountant job but I refused to take the paid services. Then at the evening of same day, the same executive called me back but again...

money was stolen
This is not a complaint against the company (At this time) , but about a very unpleasant, rude, and dishonorable avon rep in the pleasant grove area of dallas. Her name is valerie lucas. I ordered a wild country soap on a rope in the c25 campaign, and neither the product nor the refund was ever given to me. I asked her for the refund the first time mid december. She failed to respond to several calls and texts from me, and did not deliver the product refund despite being reminded ahead of time of our christmas eve night meeting. She was very inflexible and unaccomodating. If I couldn't make her specific time, it was a nightmare to get her to agree to one. This business is supposed to be customer-led last time I checked. I gave her even more time and flexibility, saying she could mail the refund to me after she got her next check. After the first of the year, I asked her politely when she would be able to send it, all I got was "i already mailed it... " with no other mention of it having been sent, like I was supposed to somehow know. As expected, it never came. She tried to tell me that she would give me "an extra $5" this week, but I could not meet at her required time as I had something already scheduled. When I offered to meet the following day, she refused. I even offered to give it additional time to arrive, again she refused. I have all of this proof in writing. She would also not have said "call avon for your refund" if she had sent it. She is not someone you want to risk one moment or one cent of your life with, and should not be selling avon or anything else as she cannot be trusted. She ripped me off, and will do it to you, too.
Definitely. I agree. It isn't the product or even the amount that is the issue. The fact is, she will steal your money, and threaten you and treat you like you are 6 years old. Stay very far away from her.
the hell with the soap on the rope. don't bend over
uncleared credit
On the 02 november 2012 I placed order with avon, the order was delivered on the 16 november 2012, the were 2 boxes, in 1 box the contents were correct and in the second box the contents were wrong but the box was addressed to me, on the 17 nov 2012 I gave John Moore the wrong box to return to avon but he did not until I met Kgomotso mofokeng who helped me get the box from John, kgomotso took the box to avon, avon confirmed it but still they want me to pay for the order that was not replaced!please help me they threatened to list me for nothing, my name Thandi kanyane, 2856 cosmocity ext 2 pretoria street 2188 Randburg, cell no [protected] (I am sad).
avon, disregard for privacy
I was an Avon representative for 10 months, harassed by my "Leaders" disregarded by my District & regional Managers & STILL manages to make unit leader, Presidents club, honors society, win the makeup maven contest & do over 40, 000.00 in sales for Avon... All to have my account closed because I sent a my Regional manager (stating in the first line:) PLEASE KEEP THIS CONFIDENTIAL, she forwarded my message to TWO OTHER PEOPLE, I complained to customer service & told them my complaint couldn't make it to my DM or MY account would be deleted & to please have someone from Avon contact me with what to do/ where to go from here... Less than 20 min after this complaint my DM called me threatening me to send a message stating that wasn't true or (you guessed it) my act would be removed, I did what she asked... Only to find out she had my "up-lines" send out a message saying I was "pursuing other interests" within MINUTES of my messaging her & over 24 hours before notifying me & over 48 hours before closing my account. I would like to pursue legal action, can anyone recommend a good attorney in Oregon? Has anyone had a similar experience? I STILL haven't received ANY OF MY BONUSES, OR MY INCENTIVES (Mrs Albee is one) for making Presidents club & honors society! Honestly, Im still astounded that the company that says its for women wouldn't even respond to my email, Avon didn't even question us as to what happened, just sent a letter saying your DM has removed you, good luck in the future. Is this really what society has come to? The only way you make it in Avon is if you are doing it fraudulently & are in the "click", if you call someone out for falsifying documents, violating your request for privacy, etc. Avon has ZERO CONCERN AS TO WHAT ANYONE IS DOING at the end of the day they are after $$$$$ and money alone. This is far from the company for women.
(Attorneys, I have kept EVERY EMAIL, TEXT, VM & other CORSPONDANCE from the DAY I SIGNED UP. I have PROOF of every allegation Im making, I would never slander a company or make false accusations. These are things that have been witnessed & done TO ME)!
Beaverton Oregon
Ironic. I signed up on this site to ALERT people to the way we were treated. It never ceases to amaze me how many people hang out online because they have nothing better to to than post negative comments to, for or about other people. If this post was of no use/ no interest to you why comment? Clearly we felt we were wronged & wanted to prevent others from ending up in the same situation. I appreciate all of the positive feedback & emails from current & otherwise representatives who have had similar situations, but I wish you felt comfortable posting on here. I know there is a lot at stake, but if you don't speak up the same things will continue happening.
And for what its worth, those of you struggling with these issues, I wish you the best of luck. I will be responding to emails as fast as I can, but my time is limited at the moment, so bear with me, and wether you are still with Avon or not there is hope, life has a funny way of working out. Christmas is the best time for making $$$$ with Avon, at least get your holidays $$$$ worth before speaking up to loud. It would be a putty to have put so much time & energy into your business to loose it before the rush! Keep your head up!
It wasnt what info you register under its the IP address you use (or maybe you are using someone else's)? You were linked to being a CURENT employee of Avon, and as such would be a conflict of interest to comment on such matters. You know nothing about me, my family & the efforts we have put in to accomplish so much with Avon. If you really were/ ARE a mechanic, what interest is it to you what happens with Avon & their issues? Why would you state I have done "immoral things" if you know nothing of what lead up to this, who had been hurt by those above us & why we did what we did? Or really ANYTHING about Avons policies & procedures? This was ONE situation that we made public, THE ONLY way we could state it without hurting people who DONT DESERVE to loose WHAT THEY have worked for. We received just under 20 contacts from attorneys within 7 hours after posting this, and hearing this has happened to numerous people really broke my heart, NO ONE SHOULD EVER FEEL THIS THREATENED! You are right, I don't know you, don't wish to, was just given facts. Maybe if something dosnt involve you don't comment on it? Have I commented on your posts? NO! Have I posted any other disrespectful posts ON ANYONE ELSE'S COMPLAINTS? NO! Have I commented on ANYTHING ELSE ON THIS SITE? NO, BECAUSE I DONT INVOLVE MYSELF WITH ANYONE ELSE'S PROBLEMS/ COMPLAINTS! I do appreciate the fact I am able to see the negative feedback before purchasing, signing-up, whatever the topic may be, but I didn't get on here to attack people, mearly share what happened to my husband & I FIRST HAND.
You should check yourself on loosing your mind, Im not the least bit concerned... But it sounds like you are a little frightened, in an area that big there should be numerous clinics to help?!
So to what was your benefit posting negative feedback on an Avon posting IF you were a Mechanic? I know multiple mechanics, they wouldn't TOUCH a "beauty company" complaint with a 1000 foot pole, let alone take TWO SECONDS to read it, which leaves me inclined to believe the information my attorney provided. But hey, it is what it is, so maybe if you want to go through posts and attack people there are other sites for that. This site states its "By the people, FOR the people" to comment on issues they have had with companies. You can rant & rave about your personal issues on your Face book. Unless you have something legitimate to offer; DONT WASTE MY TIME & I WON'T WASTE YOURS!?!?!
(And to clarify, Avon is not a job, it was a hobby. We helped numerous people & STILL DO! We didn't sign up to make a buck, we signed up to make a difference, and we did! Am I upset we are gone? NO! Am I disgusted at the way a company could treat someone? Absolutely! But with 5 nursing licenses & degree in psychology, I had a better offer & was leaving as soon as the holiday season was over, we had liquidated stock & were sure the women below us were in a good place to continue being able to sustain themselves).
OH AND HEY, HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!
Regardless of the issues we have encountered, none of my customers have had any issues from us either. My customers deserve the best service from us, (no matter WHAT business is involved) and we have ALWAYS provided that. And I do agree, Avon the company has never charged an outrageous price, they are very affordable. This complaint was in reference to the way this issue was handled. I have never ONCE had an issue with the products they carry or the prices they charge for them.
I did do this, my HUSBAND & I did. It was my so, e income, every PENNY WE MADE went into products for shows. We still have TONS of products. And you obviously don't know much about Avon. You only receive 20-50% off products, but as a leader you have to buy bags, samples, products, look nice, BE PROFESSIONAL! Making money with Avon is simple, you just have to get off your ### and actually work for it.
@MKStitch. Thank you for this comment. Now that our attorney has your name & was surprisingly quick to identify you, it was all he needed for this case! Have an awesome day! (Ironically surprised to see you here) you know what you did. Check yourself on morals. Maybe the word "ethics" a word you should look into to (i spelled it so you could find it easier, just cut, copy & paste) when you work for a company that portrays something you are supposed to follow suit. Not make rules up as you go. Im sorry I was the one to call you out on it, but Im NOT SORRY I will have prevented others from being treated like this.
Hey ladies, is this true? K isn't responding because of this? I have spent the last week being so F****** angry she would build me up & keep me going with avon which I haven't made a damn dime from recently because my new job is keeping me busier than I had anticipated. but because she had put so much time and help into me not to mention phone calls I actually called her just after 2 am (mistakenly) and she still was willing to help. When she had her bonegraphs done last month her husband was covering and he was actually able to help answer questions (didn't seem like that kind of guy, so kudos dude). Does Avon actually know what happened? Like from their side? OR OURS? I haven't received a response from the so called district manager either. And it was ### to have gotten a message from some lady named Amy who is magically my new leader and has never had the decency to say a word before, so really? Do you guys want to get together and knock on our "LEADERS" door and take her to lunch? After this a congratulations is in order, Avon can blow me, Im out too. This girl was my only reason for being in anyway associated with avon. numerous missing items from my orders, late orders, angry customers for it, did avons OVERSEAS-CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP? NO, my LEADER DID, she even gave me free gift bags for everyone that was hurt by these two botched orders. and for those of you who think their products are so great & well priced, you can get better quality mister fans & flip-flops at the dollar store! I ordered 5 fans from avon & the buttons didnt work on a one, the 3 pks of flip flops were 14.99, I kid you not they had the EXACT SAME PAIRS at the dollar tree, ck my Facebook, I posted side-by-side comparisons of several products.
The ONLY REASON I HAVE STAYED THIS LONG WAS TO HELP THESE PEOPLE, TO PAY THEM BACK FOR HELPING ME WHEN I DIDNT HAVE A JOB! This girl helped me earn enough to pay my rent before I found a stable job. Gave me customers, helped me get more, ordered for me when I was dealing with a family crisis, who helped at avon, yeah, no one. Unless you make thousands for them or have a big "team" avon dosnt care who you are, and exhibit a (above) if you stand up for anything they throw you away like a price of paper.
Avon CHECK YOURSELF & THE PEOPLE YOU CALL MANAGERS REPRESENTING YOU!
And Lexxx (if thats what we are calling you on here) whatever you need just ask. Had I known you were being treated like this I would have made waves at Avon FOR YOU GUYS! If our paths don't cross again, I wish you all the luck in the world! Truely! Thank you for being the ONE PERSON TO GIVE MY SON AND I THE HAND UP, NOT A HAND-OUT WHEN WE NEEDED IT, BLESS YOUR FAMILY, GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU, HE REWARDS THOSE WHO DO GOOD THINGS! I really do want to see you again, please contact one of us avon cant tell you to stop taking to us our friendship is far more important so please please get back to me. My post is obvious who I am, hope you see this?
Actually, you all have no business posting on here. I know this couple & have become very close to their family! They loaned out TONS of their own property for events, covered events for others & always came through no matter how big or small the need was. She helped me sign my first person AT HER HOME, after canceling 2days in a row we booked a third and over four hours late, after 10 at night, she still opened her home, signed my friend, walked her through the training booklets, gave her free samples, books, bags, a calendar with stickers & dates of orders due, meetings etc. plus two full size products for her to show, and a bag full of products for me as a congratulations for making it here. I wish she had told me what happened instead of finding it here. She knocked on doors with me, gave me 5 customers close to me to help get me started, countless other things. The district manager hasn't even responded to my email trying to introduce myself. After seeing this, Avon can consider themselves down one more representative. Im going to share this with what used to be the team, Im sure others will be appaled to see how they are being treated! KNOW YOUR FACTS PEOPLE & GROW UP
Girl (hope you see this), we miss you SO MUCH, will call you this evening, please take our call? Hugz
As an Avon customer I have never had any issues. I think the products are very affordable. Maybe you should be more careful about what you're saying in emails you send.
replacement/refund
I have sent a complaint regarding the bad service provided from the Avon rep.
I haven't had any response.
I purchased a dress on the condition if I needed a smaller size I would be able to exchange.
Once I paid for and received the dress (without a receipt) I tried the dress on, i then returned the dress explaining a needed one size smaller.
The rep then informed me that's not possible.
I gave her te dress and told her either get me a smaller size or refund my money.
That was over one month ago and I haven't been able to track her down.
I am now without the dress and money.

useless supervisor
I recently opened up at Avon account. My first order was automatically over my credit limit, in order from Avon holding back my order I paid in R 500.00.
However, a few days later when I noticed that this payment was not reflecting against my account, I went back and noticed that I put in the incorrect reference against my payment.
The only contact details that I had at the time was [protected]@avon.com, I then proceeded to send numerious emails saying that I have made an error and to please post the payment against my account number. The payment was made 28.06.13, today is now the 19.07.13 and the payment is still not reflecting against my account.
I called the call centre and got another email address of creditcontrol.[protected]@avon.com, and only about three days later was I noticed that they have just raised a journal and will take 7 days. By now my account is overdue and giving me a bad credit rating because people cant take the initiative of forwarding an email onto the correct person.
I the time being I have since posted a Hello Peter complaint and had somebody from the call centre and try and explain to me what I already know. But I want to know why nothing was done earlier and asked if she could get a manager to call me.
I then had a call from a supervisor, who did nothing but yell and be completely rude to me. I said that I refuse to speak to somebody that is blandtly rude and is still not doing anything to help the situation and said that I dont want to speak to her but rather a manager.
THIS IS DOWNRIGHT SHOCKING AND AT THIS STAGE I WANT NOTHING FURTHER TO DO WITH AVON!
harassment and rudeness
I am 20 years old and sadly during February 2013 I was unemployed and due to this I became very anxious and stressed that I would not be able to afford to pay my bills and my rent. I used various job sites and help websites in order to get myself back to work and during this time I came across an advertisement for Avon representatives, I thought this would be an excellent idea as its flexible hours and I don't have to travel far as I do not own a car or a full drivers license, so I decided to apply. I was contacted almost immediately and arranged for a day for the team leader to come round and explain to me the processes and to see if it is something I would be truly interested in, although this is not what happened on the day as the lady who came round was extremely pushy and signed me up without even asking me any questions! I felt very uncomfortable and forced to do this and didn't feel like I had any choice in the matter and when I showed any sign of uncertainty I was forced to back down. I decided to give this the benefit of the doubt and try to persevere with it, unfortunately everyone in my local area was not interested in purchasing Avon products and had previously had bad experiences with the company as a whole, so I went onto my account to look for some tips and ideas of what to do and found a handy starter kit with samples which was 10 pound and had excellent reviews so I decided to buy it on my account which was on a credit basis that I would have to pay at a later date. Even with my posters that I had printed and my starter kit I still made no sales so in the end I decided this was not for me and I had managed to get myself an interview with an admin company, therefore I contacted my team leader and explained I no longer wanted to do this as it did not suit my personality and would not be in the best interests for me or the company if I stayed. My team leader came round to collect the products from me and to close my account, she brought another representative with her in order to convince me to stay with Avon, I found this both rude and intimidating but did not feel I could allow the lady to stay outside as I had already let the company down, I was assured that I would not have to pay anything as the kit was still in the same condition as when I received it and all the samples were accounted for and my team leader would sort out returning the product for me. I later received a letter from Avon about the cost of the product and that I would have to pay this or I would have additional late payment fees added on top as well as the cost of the product, so I called the number I was given and explained the situation to a lady over the phone, she was very unhelpful and rude and told me they had no records of my team leader and that I would have to contact her myself to confirm the product had been returned. I did this and received a confirmation text from my team leader to say it had been done and I would no longer need to worry about letters or calls from Avon, this was not the case however as over the past 4 months I have received several harassing letters and I have called every time and explained the situation, I was then told to email in my complaint in order to have the charge removed (I did this twice) I have been told twice over the phone that they have removed the amount and my account is zero and I would not need to worry. Yesterday I received 2 letters both dated in June telling me it was a final warning and that they had now handed my case over to a debt collection agency because I ignored the final warning that was dated 06/06/13 which I received on the 01/07/13! I called the office once again to explain my situation which they told me I would have to email in in order to have the charges removed as I had done this twice previously I was not willing to do it again as this was there mistake not mine, the gentleman that I spoke to said that due to my "genuine complaint" he would remove all the charges and my account would become zero (these were late payment charges even though the product had been returned and refunded), I then asked to speak to a manger as I felt the treatment I have received over the past 4 months was both intimidating and unacceptable, I asked the manager to send a letter or email in writing showing that my account was zero and that I wanted my account closed as I no longer work for Avon, I also asked if an apology could be sent for the stress caused to both myself and my mother as well as for the compensation for the calls I have had to unnecessarily make. I was told this was impossible! No one within the building would be able to do this and no apology was made over the phone, the manager then became both aggressive and rude and reluctantly gave me the email address for the complaints team whom I have emailed and received nothing back from as of yet. I feel this was the worst treatment I have received from a company in my 4 years of being in the working environment, I would never recommend to anyone to become an Avon representative as it is both not worth the money and the customer service agents are rude and aggressive!

was an avon rep in 1996/97. There weren't so many "hidden" fees back then. I actually made money and spent some of it on samples and some on product for myself and had some left over. And I worked 4 days a week and had to small children. It wasn't easy, but it was alot easier then, even with the kids and no website ordering yet. I ordered avon via website from an acquaintence in feburary of this year, and then in April I decided that MAYBE I would like to sell avon again, so I expressed my interest via the website and started getting calls from recruiters. I called one of them back and the answering machine cut me off. I called the other, who had called me a couple of times and we set up an appt for her to meet w/me at my home. I was surprised that she didn't explain any of the steps to selling avon online. She told me to do the e-learning. The e-learning didn't teach me much except how to process an order, and give tips on how to build a customer base and sell product. I'm 51, I've been in sales for 20 years, I work p/t at a major retailer (las vegas doesn't hire f/t in retail since 2008 unless you are mgmt), and I let the rep know I don't own a vehicle, I have recently been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in my knees and feet, but that I would do the e-learning and start contacting friends/relatives, and do some PR at work and around the community I live in. Not having a vehicle, I travel 1 to 2 hrs each way to doctor appts at least once a week, and 1 hr each way to work on the weekends. It was 118 degrees last weekend. Knowing all of this, my "up-line/recruiter" gave me the push when my first order was only $24 from one of my neighbors. I just recently moved into my new home April 1st and wasn't aware of the "no flier/ad distributing" rule in my community. Oops. Knowing all of this, the up-line still chastised me for not turning in a bigger order/getting more customers in my first campaign. She also told me that I should have been building my customer base instead of doing the e-learning. (How are you going to sell if you don't know how to direct the customer as to how to place an e-order from your web page, which I hadn't gotten around to thoroughly learning yet). My response to her admonishments was that I should have thought it thru more clearly, and I should probably just quit since I actually lost money on this first campaign. Boy, did her tone change. She did a 180 and told me not to be so hard on myself. WTH? That just confused me. Then she told me that she would add my order to hers to save me the loss of money ($3.00). After all that time and effort I put in? Forget it, I want the credit for my order. After spending hours researching the internet to learn how to manage my avon web page and place orders online, etc. (since an instruction manual is needed to figure out how to navigate avon's e-learning pathway training, it is almost useless), I figure out that there are so many obstacles to making any profits, I decide to sell enough product to break even on my second campaign, with about $2.50 profit, and get the hell out of this racket. My upline/recruiter didn't know how to use rep web page to place orders/retrieve orders, etc., so she couldn't instruct me and I had to repeatedly call an avon website specialist to clarify what i was learning. I was shocked to do the math. I was making about a dollar an hour when it came down to selling, and practically nothing in profits. No one has money to spend on Avon in this economy, especially here in Vegas. I am not happy that I was not given better instruction from my upline and told about all of the fees/requirement/loopholes reps are faced with. All these recruiters want is to get their bonus for signing you on, and get their percentage of what you sell. They don't give a hoot if you don't have money to eat next month because your grocery budget went to processing order fees, brochures & baggies (what a waste), samples (if you can afford them), website fees (if you don't have at least 1 customer who orders via your web page, etc., etc. I couldn't put on such a facade as these recruiters and sales leaders do, without conscience to boot. Capitalism rears it's ugly head again. I'm counting on Karma to even the score. For now, I give Avon a big two middle fingers up.
watch
I purchased a lovely gold watch with a beaded band. The band broke, beads went everywhere. They were held in place by nylon line. The band can't be repaired easily.
The rep. Is loretta of pioneer dr of dingo beach & has been contacted twice over many weeks. She fobs me off each time.
What can be done ? D. J.

not worth their weight in salt
If you already have a main job and just looking to supliment your income than Avon is not for you. For one there is a $50 quota each week and if you do not meet that you make no commission. If you do sell at least $50 for that campaign then by the time you pay their one time standard fee that is over $6 and pay for their brochures than you've already lost money. When I first started I was pulled into paying for more than ten brochures and passing them out. Do not get pulled into this. The only people that are making money are the ones at the top. Avon is known for shipping defective products. They are known for being out of stock on things. Just recently I ordered a ring that came with its own jacket. The ring was way too big and if put with the jacket part, I could not even put it on my finger as the jacket part was way too small. It was as if the ring was two sizes bigger than the jacket. Another time a customer ordered shampoo and conditioner. The box shows up soaking wet. The shampoo bottle is empty and it is all over the rest of the products. Other times they will list the products shipped on the invoice; however, they will forget to include it. One time I called them for this situation and was told it would ship "with my next order" I asked that they do not wait for my next order because my customer needs it for an event coming up soon. They tell me ok, but still did not bother to ship it when asked.
Recently, I had to cancel my debit card due to fraudulant activity and just wanted to pay them online or over the phone by check. I come to find out that one has to sign up for ECheck in order to pay by check this way by registering on line, then sending in a voided check, waiting for something to come in the mail from them, then calling them with the access code. This whole process can take two weeks. So, I email them about my situation and let them know I am sending in a payment that day for what was owed, (less than $150), and asked them not to hold my order. I even emailed them that the payment was sent. It was going from Ohio to Ohio, which usually only takes one day. THEY STILL HELD MY ORDER UNTIL TODAY! THEY HELD MY ORDER AN EXTRA WEEK. I've been a rep for at least four years. I had a good track record. If Avon would have looked into this and checked my track record, they would have seen I was trustworthy. I had thought about dropping before but was still selling as there were a few people at work that always wanted to buy from me so I continued for them even though there was no money in it for me. Now, I am done and I will no longer sell. Mary Kay is a better company. There are no quotas. You get 50% commission no matter how little you sell and you can take a long break and come back later and still be a rep for them. Avon will cancel you if you go three campaigns with no order. Mary Kay's brochures also cost less money than Avon's do. I am done selling for Avon.
I hope that you didn't go to Mary Kay. If you did or are considering it still, go to pinktruth.com before you do. They are much worse and still a pyramid scheme!
hardest time getting customer to buy
My name is stephanie wallace and i'm a new avon representative. I started jan 27, 2013 and I always wanted to work from home cause I like be online. I live in nashville, tn. I'm having the hardest time getting customers to buy from me. Will you all give me some advice getting customers. I have past out book an brochures an posted everything online. Please come along a buy something in my avon store it is open 24 hours a day 7 days week at your convince. I been posting thing on all social networks that i'm on an I have let my friends an family know that i'm selling avon.
Oh my gosh Stephanie - you have a lot of words misspelled. Please, when creating any message use spell check or a dictionary, especially if it's for your business. It looks very unprofessional.
I sell AVON but I'm not looking to make a lot of money. I've always liked their stuff - I buy Demos and sell those on Craigslist or local bulletin boards in my neighborhood. And I'm okay with that. It gives me a little cash in the hand to pay a bill or two or for small groceries...But I hear you on the hard to find customers - our area is surrounded by reps that have long time buyers, so I'd really have to venture out of the way to try and get some new clientele...but I don't care to, I'm fine the way things are going.
