Bank of America simply awful

The most terrible customer service ever. Does it actually exist? How many people work for you? Two or three? Maybe that would explain why you're so slow and answering emails takes you a month.
Even if they reply, it's always scripted and nobody cares about the details.
I'm so tired of this horrible treatment. I know for sure that I'm going to cancel my credit card and forget about this bank forever.

Bank of America allowing checking & savings account fraud, then debit to my account without my consent

I filed a claim of fraud in regard to withdrawals from my checking & savings accounts which were not made by me. I filled out all the required BOA forms and filed a police report. BOA temporarily credited the charges to my account. Then their "Fraud" department reviewed my claim and withdrew the fraudulent charges from my account again. I talked to an Asst VP at the Seattle bank location who had the charges credited back to my account again. A month went by and I thought the whole ordeal was resolved. However, on 8/22/17, without any notice or my consent, BOA started withdrawing more money from my account (again) in the amount(s) of the fraud charges!

I am afraid to deposit any money in my account because BOA will steal it. As it is, the withdrawal has created a negative balance, which I am sure will accrue additional fees and income for BOA. Your money is not safe with Bank of America. At any time, they will take it and hope you won't notice it is gone!

BOA's "Fraud" department is aptly named because they are committing fraud on their innocent customers every day. I have been a customer for 26 years and it certainly appears they have now decided to change their business practices and steal money from customers.

Bank of America pointless

My credit card was closed and I contacted customer service to figure out why. I was redirected many times from one employee to another one and it seemed like they didn't know how to do their job. 7 times I repeated my problem and got really tired of it. Eventually, they transferred me to the right person and she explained to me what exactly happened. Stupid service.

Bank of America horrible loan officer

I had just got turned down from a mortgage company because I didn't have 2 years of working history at my part time job. After being turned down I was curious and I called Bank of America since I have been baking with them for almost 17 years to get their feedback and see if they work with people that does not have two year working history. I called a loan officer by the name of Jonathan Ott in Houston and he told me that that would be okay he approved me because my credit was pretty good and he advised me to start looking for a house I found a townhome that I really liked I got it inspected for $375 I put down appraisal money for $550 and I paid the earnest money for $1, 300 throughout this whole process Jonathan had me and my realtor thinking that this was a solid deal but at the end of it he became flaky and stop answering calls and when I finally got him on the phone he was telling me that my 2-year work history might be a factor with me not getting the home and I told him I told you this information before I started this process. While doing my letters of explanation Jonathan Ott disappeared and I had to call his manager to figure out what was going on with the long process because I was get suspicious of him. I ended up getting declined because Jonathan lied to me at the beginning of the process saying that two years of work history wouldn't be an issue but it was and also Jonathan lied to me that same week and guarantee me that I will get my earnest money back. I found out that he had nothing to do with me getting my earnest money back that was between the seller and the agent and now I am out of that money due to him being a liar, heartless and a horrible lender. I want my money back and it's not fair to me. I am upset and I will be going to another bank!

Bank of America college checking account closed for no reason

On June 11, I opened a college checking account (a checking account for students with no monthly fee) with a check of ~$290. On June 12, my account had $175 (the other funds should have come within the next day or two). My birthday is on June 16, so my sister told me to buy whatever I wanted, and she would pay me back the costs. I bought a vape to help me quit smoking cigarettes on eBay for ~$100.

Everything was great. My vape was on the way and I had a new checking account where I can deposit all the checks I get from my work. But on June 13, my account was closed/locked. So, I called BofA, and the woman who received my call said that the bank does not have to disclose why they closed my account. I was not mad because I signed that agreement, but now I just want the money I deposited (minus the cost of the vape I bought). She told me I would have to wait until Tuesday to see if they would mail me a check for the remaining funds.

Then, I went to the BofA that I opened my account with. Luckily, the man who I opened the account with was working today. I spoke to him about the situation (hoping he would give a clear answer), and he honestly had no clue as to why they would close my account without notice and in just a few days. All he could do was give me a number to call to ask why it was closed, and the person who received the call basically reiterated everything I already heard from the previous woman I talked to (BofA closed my account, total funds will come on Tuesday, June 21, etc.)

I would have no money available to me for several days, which really sucks because I was planning to buy my parents dinner on my birthday. Now, I am just frustrated, confused, and furious with BofA. I do not understand why they would close my account without notifying me and not give me the money I deposited in a quick manner. Anyone else have this problem?

Bank of America bank fraud /someone depositing bad checks...

In & around May 2017, A woman named Eboni Burntwell-Brown deposited a check in Bank of America Branch in Middletown NY 10940. The amount was for $4250. I was with her the day she received the check in the mail. She had me do diligence on the check & we called the bank it was supposedly issued from. They said the check was counterfeit & that she was to destroy it & not to deposit it. Unknown to me, she deposited the check full well knowing it was fake in your Bank on RT 211 in Middletown NY. She is on probation for Corporate theft of Mc Donalds in Middletown NY. She Stole cash from a register & was terminated & arrested.

Bank of America claims department, and bank service

On March 30, 2017 I made a fraud claim against my account for uber charges I did not make in California. I have never been to California at all and I did not make these charges. Well I made the claim over the phone sitting in the bank. Apparently after I made the claim the next day 2 other claims were made on my account for the same charges. It is now May 18, 2017 and Bank of America has taken over $800 dollars out of my account for 2 claims that I didn't make. When I talked to the claims department I was told that they see where the mistake was made and that it is there fault but I have to pay the money back that I never knew was in my account. Now they have my account at a negative -320.19 because they messed up. And every time I said I am going to get a lawyer. The phone hung up. I have been calling the bank since May 10, 2017 and it is now May 18, 2017 and they have taken over 800 dollars out of my account without notifying me and without telling me who made the other 2 claims on my account.

Bank of America seized money from my account

I received & deposited a Wells Fargo bank check in my account on 4/24. Four days after the deposit on 4/28, Bank of America went into my account & seized my money. As monitoring my transactions on 5/2, I noticed $ missing from my account in the amount of $250. I called customer service more than 3 times on 5/2 to try & resolve why BOA seized my deposit. I received rhetorical runaround answers during every phone call to fix the problem. I called the Wells Fargo customer who advised me that the $250 bank check funds have been withdrawn from their account since 4/24. Continued calls to BOA claim that the money was seized because the typed bank check was unreadable. ? If the check was unreadable, then how did BOA know which person/account/bank to withdraw the $ from? On 5/2, four days after seizing my money, BOA made NO attempt to contact me to advise of the taken $. BOA did not make any attempt to return the money to Wells Fargo either. BOA decided they could withdraw & simply keep $250 from my account! I had to get the Wells Fargo customer to put a stop payment on the check to keep BOA from simply stealing the $ for themselves. Today, 5/3, BOA called me to say the $ was never deposited to my account as they never were able to read the bank check. ? What? I have written BOA bank statement showing it was, but now it wasn't? BOA then said, there was something wrong with the Wells Fargo account. How did BOA withdraw the $ if Wells Fargo has an internal "bill pay" procedure issue? Every excuse about the money taken from my account, gets more outlandish. Taking money that is not yours, then secretly keeping it for days is a CRIME...even for a big bank.

Bank of America banking and customer service

My expert has been nothing but horrible for myself to the 0oint I switched banks. Now their ripping off my friend who is a disabled, veteran and senior citizen. The repeatedly fail to send text alerts, then move money for .10 cents charging him 12 dollars and some odd cents for moving money. This in turn puts him in over draft position so then there's those fees. I've made so many complaints that I've got their number saved in m phone. Now yesterday I found out they didn't pay a payment that was important. They said to reorder it as soon as I deposited more money for additional fees and then they recharge him twice. So now he's overdrawn again. Mind you we were told that the previous fees wouldn't go through and low in behold it did.

Bank of America fees

I have had a savings account with ATM card for 7 years. More recently for the past 12 months I have not used their card nor made any deposits or withdrawals from this account. But apparently they have been deducting a $5 dollar maintenance/service fee from my account every month. Plus my husband checked our balance with the ATM card which we were charged another $2.50. When I received my statement today, I realize the balance is now $-8.21. That's right, a negative BALANCE, I NOW OWE THEM $8.21 FOR NOT USING MY MONEY ALL YEAR! So, I called the customer service number and kept on hold for 7 minutes. Finally explained my story, was put on hold another 5 minutes, then was told, the only thing they can do for me is waiver one $5 fee leaving me with a $ - 3.21 negative balance. I ask to speak with her manager, as I only wanted them to close my account. Another 6 minutes on hold, then told Sorry, manager is in a meeting, he will call me back at the end of the day. After blowing my stack and giving her a piece of my mind, I hung up and drove to the nearest BOA. The manager at the BOA 909 Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral Fl 33990, told me he would see what he could do. He looked into the computer and deducted the $2.50 ATM balance check fee leaving me with a -71cent balance and told me I would have to go to the teller to close my account after I pay off the negative balance. So I ask again, After this bank has taken $60 this past year in fees for an account I have not used, is it really necessary that I pay them to close my account? She replied Oh Yes, I am so sorry BUT if you do not pay the 71cents they will send you to collections! And there is nothing I can do until you pay. SO, I write her a check for 71 cents and say "OK, so is my account closed now" Her reply, Oh no, I'm sorry but you will have to wait 45 minutes, or make an appointment to come back to see one of our banking specialists! WHAT? Now I am beginning to LOSE IT! I would now leave her window until I was taken care of properly. I got louder and louder, by repeating my story so ALL the bank customers in line could hear my saga! FINALLY, one of the two banking specialists got up from her chair (about 10 feet away) and walked over to me and asked, How may I help? The teller told her, " Oh, I told her you have appointments and she would have to wait 45 minutes or make an appointment. " WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS? So the banking specialist was finally kind enough to tell her, "well, it's no problem, I will squeeze her in, it will just take me a few minutes" And with 5 minutes she had my account closed and I was on my way out. REALLY?
Was ALL of that really necessary? NEVER, EVER, will I deal with BOA again, as far as I"M concerned, they all should be Bank of #####!

Bank of America short sale process

My home has been in the short sale process for a year now, with 4 contracts. All buyers have walked away because of the length of the process by Bank of America to handle efficiently and in a timely manner. Repeated waiting on forms that should be easily done with a checklist. I was days away from closing on the 2nd short sale contract last August; was only waiting on the approval letter. The bank languished at the end line and the buyer walked away. B of A would have received all of the principal, late fees, late payments, etc., W/ only a $10k difference in what I owed, but it was all lost due to their lack of efficient process. That approval letter did not arrive until November, with only 2 days left on it to close- but the people had already walked. I then had another contract whereby they also met every condition of B of A's demands, but they would not give buyer an extra 2 days to do inspection- they also walked; THE DAY BEFORE CLOSING! I am not in another contract, and the process has started all over again, and I do not have confidence in B of A's ability to make this happen either. In the meantime, B of A has started the foreclosure process, and I filed my answer Feb 28th w/ affirmative defenses, pro se. I am very frustrated that they can't get their act together to finish this process- because if they end up foreclosing on me, they end up loosing thousands, unnecessarily. I'm surprised there's not a class action regarding this (notwithstanding they have already been involved in such).
