During the week of 8Dec2008, I had a notice of insufficient funds notice on my account. I went to the bank and atm machine to make a deposit to get the account out of the red. I later learned there was still another transaction pending that would keep the account in the red. I called customer service and I told them that I was expecting some money the following day and the agent told me to make a deposit by 1100am the following day and to call so that I woludn't get charged an insufficient funds charge. Well, the deposit was made, but I was not able to call until 2pm that same day after I saw that the account was charge the fee ($35). The agent (a different one) I spoke to would not waive the charge even though the agent the day before said they would take care of it after I called. Disatisfied, I demanded to speak to a manager and they told me the same thing. They did state that if I knew the name of the agent that gave me that info, they would give them training on the matter. This is total crap and the best thing BOA could have done is go off the word of what the agent told me the first time. Because of this, I am switching all my accounts to a different bank. I do understand that I have my responsibilities to managae my payments and bank balance, but the complaint here is that Bank of America either has double standards or thier "hired" staff have no clue what they are telling thier customers when they call, not to mention the outrageious fee's!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
It was not a first time within 2008 year I went to same office to get services. Each time waiting time for financial service person stretches longer and longer, even you call them ahead. They never consider your work leave as their responsibility. They never suggest for how long your waiting time would be. Today my waiting time was 1, 5 hrs. Before I got to a bank clerk just to switch my CD to next period. I had it enough, will never return back.
Also, they have other problems in their system which lowers customer interests and profits Bank. To fix them, you physically have to go to the office and here it is again...waiting, waiting, for their system mistakes.
Do not recommend working people to have business with Bank of America!
I decided to close my BOA accounts because the service provided by their employees and collecting agents is really bad. The worst that I had ever experienced. I was to pay off my credit card balance and they switched me to the supervisor for cnfirmation. The manager/supervisor (Shaun or Sawun) was rude on asking my account reouting and checking numbers. The background noise is really loud on his side. His attitude is bad and I can say he was shouting.
This is not the service that I expect since I do my own small business under BOA services. We never experience this kind of service before. Really, really bad !
Bank of America is a joke! I called their credit department today to find out why my 3 credit reports show a credit limit of zero when it should be $18, 600. The rep asked me personal financial questions, so I knew what was coming. None of my financial information has changed and I have never been late on a payment. She told me the information would be updated in a month...what she forgot to tell me was that she would be lowering my credit limit by $1, 000 that day. I checked my account a few hours later and sure enough she had lowered my limit. I spoke to another rep that evening just to verify what had occured. The letter is in the mail to me about it. LMAO they are so cowardly that they couldn't tell me over the phone while they did it !I find it very funny because I am going to pay the card off next month and they will lose my money forever. I know for someone else this would have been horrible. By the way BOA did this to me earlier this year a few weeks before my wedding. What a terrible business.
Absolutely the worst banking institution! Can't trust them. I have had similar experiences like the ones here on complaintsboard. You simply can't trust BOA. I even emailed their corporate office telling them to do a goole search on themselves. Nuf said!
I call Chase almost every day for loan modification i will say NO SERVICE it's is sooooo bad that if you call for same loan 10 times you will get 10 different answers
i received worse customer service calling CHASE for my crdit cart ... i spoke with c/s reps that they don't even speak english or they don't even listening to what you are asking BAD BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
Bank of America has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced! We called a month ago requesting a copy of the title & deed on the home that my husband co-signed for. They told us it would be in our mailbox within 7-10 business days. It has been a month now & still no bank paper has been sent to us. Although, they did send us a letter telling us they were working to fulfill our request & that it was delayed. We called to find out what exactly the delay was & they couldn't even give us a reason! We are still waiting for the bank papers.
We also called to find out if we could do a non-credit qualifying FHA streamline loan. They won't do it at all unless we are experiencing a death or a divorce! They are impossible to work with! I am very disappointed with Bank of America. When we get my husband's name of the home loan he co-signed for we are going to be sure to never ever do business with Bank of America again!
Agreed. BOA has terrible customer service and terrible electronic systems. Problems almost every month since opening account. Need to call several times to get a problem addressed and each time a BOA rep gives different information. Transfer money from a different US bank account to BOA? What a mess. Loose your ATM card when overseas? BOA says to call collect to get card replaced. Got 4 different phone number from 2 different BOA reps. Attempted calls. One BOA rep said to go to Walmart to buy a phone card to call BOA. Walmart? I had already told her I was in a foreign country. Makes the USA look bad to have a bank of this name and standing be so inept. As for the actual service and systems...terrible.
We had a tree that fell in our garage we paid for the removal and for the renovation of our garage the insurance made out a check to Bank of America and my husbands name. Bank of America would not sign off on it until there was inspection made. Well she called pretty late one evening and said it was going to be another hour before she could come out my husband said no problem I will have everything lit up for you and he did. There was lights everywhere she took pictures of everything except the roof she did not want to climb the ladder. Three days later we had not heard from anyone. My husband calls Bank of America and finds out she appraised it for 93% only it has to be 95% she said the fence was not up ‘THAT IS A TOTAL LIE’ and we can back that up our Insurance has a picture of it prior to her coming out. She herself took a picture of it we have a picture of it in our camera. So what happen to that. I don’t see anyone giving us credit for the roof. We need someone to help us and it sure seems we get nothing but the run around. Is there anyone out there that can call us with an answer?

WORST SERVICE EVER! Abby-DCN8S of Bank of America Phenix Arizona is a POOR manager that must be fired!
They took two extra payments leaving my credit card account positive of "$600 my money" . I used it by sending someone money by money gram and later saw a $16.75 fee. When called and spoke to that discriminant manager, she blatantly refused to make a refund even overpaid the credit card before used it. Never banking with Bank of America, a Disgusting corporation again!
