I attempted a balance transfer for a 0% offer on my BofA credit card. While doing so I noticed an overcharge from a vendor and called customer service to get it resolved. I asked the CSR if the dispute transaction would cause any issues with the balance transfer and they said it would not.
I filed the dispute and then went online to file the CC balance transfers. 2 from 2 other CC companies. One transaction went though and the other did not. I called BofA Credit Card Offer department to find out what had happened and they said the 2nd transaction was declined due to an "error". I said lets try again and the reply was "The offer no longer is eligible to use". I mentioned that the attempt was made prior to the "error" and that they should honor the offer but CSR said they had no way to override they system to apply the 2nd transaction. His response was to "lecture me" on applying sooner than the last couple days when an offer is to expire. I told him to spare the lecture as the transaction was within the offering deadline by 2 days.
There was no indication from BofA that the transaction was rejected and the only way I would know was by calling them.
Desired outcome: I would like BofA to honor the offer as it was done 2 days prior to the offer expiring. 0% balance transfer per the offer.
