Bank of America and BAC Home Loans is the most criminal banking organization on our planet. Their only goal is to destroy millions of lives not help them like they say on their website. This is misrepresentation and false advertising. Quite honestly, the whole banking system needs to be replaced. Many people are standing up and fighting these monsters:

Just so you know, I did pay my mortgage on time and they kept screwingme over. I guess you work for Satan's bank and therefore scouring the internet in defense of their fraudulent practices. I guess you are ok with the widespread fraud that is being committed by Bank of America. People are fighting in wars and losing their lives for this country but no one is addressing the other war that needs to be initiated against these criminals. Then, where is the justice? Crimes are being committed against the people and I guess your ok with it. You better hope that you don't lose your house too. Maybe not if you work for BofA. They already ate Barbara Desoer's mortgage deficit wthout a problem but are screwing everyone else over. http://blogs.wsj.com/deals/2011/03/10/housing-crisis-bank-of-america-takes-533500-loss-on-execs-home/?blog_id=6&post_id=32614

You are a low life and you are very disrespectful by calling me a ###. I am far from being on. It is so sad that a disgraceful piece of crap like you is in the military. No wonder this country is going to the crapper. I guess anyone can be in the military. You disgust me and I refuse to reason with a idiot. Like I said before, I did pay my mortgage. It's not my fault that money was embezzled from me by a company that I am supposed to trust.

I understand Brenda but if the link I posted would have been read, he/she would have known the accustations. I have certain restrictions and I cannot provide every single detail about my case. I cannot understand how someone can scour the internet looking at negative posts about Bank of America and not be affiliated in some way with them. We are in an economical crisis and the banks are the main reason why. And this person "assumed" that I was a ### and that I did not pay my mortgage. Isn't that also an assumption? So who is the one that made the false assumption?

Update by Isabel1170
Mar 18, 2011 1:12 pm EDT

By the way Stealth, you were the one to make the first assumption and I guess you and Brenda failed to see it. You said and I quote: "Pay your mortgage on time each month and you will have no problems." You were the first one to comment on my complaint and "assumed" that I was having all these problems due to not paying my mortgage. You started the war! I was abused by Bank of America and that is it. They are allowed to do business in this country and they need to abide by the regulations. They continue to rob people that have loans with them and bank with them and they continue to issue illegal foreclosures and even foreclose on homes that they do not own and no one is stopping them. They are destroying everything that this country stands for and as a natural born American Citizen I am going to use my rights to the fullest and protect family. You, on the other hand have posted nasty comments that are uncalled for. If I were you, I would not be bragging about being in the military. I am just a hard working citizen who spent her life savings on a home and has disabled children and I do not use vulgar language against anyone. I guess I was raised right and I expect my children to also treat others with respect.

Stealt, it seems that you really did not read the press release because the word "allege" and "alleged" is all over it. Furthermore, if you are in the military as you say you are, you should be aware of one of the privileges we have in this country: Freedom of Speech. If Bank of America blasts their customers and investors publicly blaming them for the lack of loan modifications (they never said allege) then I can certainly speak the truth and speak my mind in a decent and non-profane way. http://www.propublica.org/article/Bank-of-America-Blames-Investors-for-Lack-loan-mods-its-not-true. http://www.bnet.com/blog/financial-business/bank-of-america-blames-customers-for-hamp-problems/2831. The truth is, I am not here to bicker like you. You have left over 4, 000 comments on this complaint board and it is obvious that you like confrontations. I am not here for confrontations, I am here to educate the public about a company that is not abiding to the rules and regulations of business practices. If anyone breaks the law, they have to pay. That's it. If I would committ only 1% of the crimes that BofA has committed, I would be in jail right now. I do not forge signatures, steal from bank accounts, file false or forged documents through the justice system, embezzle money from escrow accounts, misrepresent services, harrass customers, foreclose on property that doesn't belong to me and so on. That is just a portion of Bank of America's crimes against humanity. We are fighting wars in foreign countries for oil or to destroy terrorists but we fail to fight the financial terrorist right here in our own backyard. What a corrupt system we live in!

Update by Isabel1170

Just read Stealth's posts. Just so you know Stealth, my press release DID have the word "allege" written all over it and the "original" was posted on a website the following day that it was created. The only thing I did to that release "after the fact" was make a spelling correction to two words. You obviously did not read my press release the first time as I had stated before. How can you complain about something that you never actually read?

TheLoveFist II, you are obviously not aware with the amount of money that these banks are making on foreclosures. Many people do not. Do not take my word for it, do some research and you will clearly see the truth. All I know is that I can sleep at night because I am not fabricating a web of lies as these banks have (ie Bank of America). The government allowed this system to operate in Wall Street for may years and now the homeowners are the ones who are getting screwed after they all made billions upon billions of dollars. Most mortgage assigments are forged as well. Mine sure is. Again, don't take my word for it. You can watch it yourself: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7361572n&tag=related;photovideo#ixzz1IaCUSE4D

No one should expect a loan modification from Bank of America. It is a trick to make you default and take your home. They make much more money that way. They could care less if you are dying, got an operation, lost your job or any other unexpected inconvenience that might happen in your life. Do not fall for their traps. This is called F-R-A-U-D! They need to be exterminated like a bad roach infestation that has corrupted this country's economy. They are committing "widespread" fraud. When you "lead" millions of people to believe that you are going to help them (with their own tax money of course, i.e. bailout) and even make them miss payments in order to get a loan modification, that is called fraud: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraud.

Bank of America is a Racketeering Enterprise! Please read my article here: http://www.piggybankblog.com/2010/11/16/bofa-racketeering/

Bank of America must be held accountable under RICO for Racketeering. Please sign this petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/the-president-of-the-united-states-hold-bank-of-america-accountable-under-rico-laws

Do whatever you have to do to stop this Mafia from ruining your lives. Get an attorney, join a class-action or even sue them yourself (pro se). We need to stop this Monster called Bank of America before more lives are destroyed. Don't let them STEAL your home, fight back. Bank of America wants you to give up and the statistics show that most of their victims do. Don't be a Bank of America Victim any longer!

for all you that are with BOA...beware on your 1098 for mortgage interest paid...i received one this year (for last years interest) for $6248. I went through my statements and knew this was incorrect----called them and yesterday received a "corrected" 1098 for 11, 674. My neighbor also had the same problem altho hers was not as drastic...just $4, 000 difference...but fact remains that everyone that has them as a servicer should check their 1098's!

Talking banks, yes they are greedy, look out for themselves, not the borrower, I have been in a bad mortgage for years with Bank Of America, Interest only mortgage, always paid on time never, never late . got involved with a loan Modification, with Hope 4 homes today.org affiliate Attorney Mahan Matthew Abbasi from LosAngeles California. turned out to be a scam, was looking to reduce my payments and get a better mortgage, not so! not only did I get ripped off from the loan modification scam, but the bank was not willing to give any slack either, just tacked on more fees and upped my amount on my mortgage, so its costing us more money per month just to stay in our home, thought about letting the Bank have it back, but I also heard that if the Bank gets it back, they sell it for what ever, the government bails them out for the difference owed from the note! is that justice to a home owner who is trying to make it work, if it is true about banks getting the difference, I say ### em!

Banks make a profit on foreclosures. It does not make any difference that the homes are empty and destroyed. When a bank forecloses, the insurance company covers the mortgage amount that is lost in the process. So the bank charges the customer fees and the mortgage amount, gets covered by insurance and if they sell the property again, then they make even more. Triple prizes! In addition, the government bails them out. What does the homeowner get? A credit score that makes it impossible to ever purchase anything at a decent interest rate for the next 10 years (so if you're at retirement age, you're screwed), A mortgage that is still owed if the bank does not allow a short sale, possible bankruptcy, and a mar on your potential employment record. Then while the banks band together with all their money and their clout to continue with their mass-destruction, the people go for one another's throats with accusations and finger pointing.

Understood Stealth, but they gave them a loan that they did not give other private companies, as well as they admitted they did not even need the loans. These loans were given with no strings attached. They made interest on that money for themselves too, such as even at 1% would be 450 million dollars...that is even at 1%. would be happy to give them the 45 billion back too, if they would like to loan it to me :)
.
The point is that they were given that money as an incentive to give modifications, but did not give them, such as they said they would. So they in essence tricked the taxpayers, government and homeowners. They simply just did the math and figured out there was more financial incentive to fraudclose on people instead. This is because they are only the servicer now, and they can only make money on late fees and fraudclosures. This is not to even mention that made bazillioins on selling bad loans to the taxpayer. Loans that they knew were bad. It has been fraudulent from beginning, middle and end.
.
The other issue is that they used HAMP to trick people into these foreclosures. They would tell the people everything was fine and keep sending your payment. People would then come home to locks on the doors and a fraudclosure notices, even though they met the terms they agreed to.
.
If Bank of Defrauding America did not take the taxpayer bailout, Robo signing and Mers, I would probably not have an issue with them. The simple fact is that they get special privileges that we do not get, in which that is one of the major things that Americans fought against in the first place. I do not believe in giving free homes, but I would rather have that than them give the tax money to private banks, just so they can turn around and give themselves a bonus.
.
In the end, it appears that Bank of America went to the real Bank of America (The Government), while having a personal ATM card. Both the government and the banks must be held accountable.

John Wright

No...On a short sale, the insurance pays the difference in the loss. Please verify your facts. It is only right for the consumer NOT to be in the red, when the banks have defaulted on their contracts and their agreements. Which they have done. The news is overloaded with stories to verify this. Promises of modifications that are never fulfilled, homes foreclosed upon that the bank did not even own, contracts that were forged, prepayment penalties that were forged. If WE, the consumers, sign an agreement and do not live up to our end of it, or inadvertently pay late, the banks charge us fees and penalties. We would serve jail time for forging documents. What should happen if the bank does the same to the consumer?

Many of you here think this is just about people who did not pay their mortgage. It is far more complicated than that. Most people want to do the right thing, that is what we have been raised to do. In our household, we have not lost our job, we have paid our mortgage, but the mortgage company held us to a prepayment agreement we didn't agree to after raising our interest rate 1.5% over the original amount.
We had a simple solution. Because we are adults with good credit we would simply find another lender with a better interest rate, after all, we live in a country where we have free will.
But the bank held us to a prepayment penalty that we did not agree to, and because of that penalty we had to pay over $50, 000 more on a loan that was already underwater. That does not include interest and loan fees and attorney costs to try and recover the amount stolen from us.

We have the paperwork and the proof and it has been four years, but our court date keeps getting pushed back. Not only did we have to have the money for the excess fees, we had to have money for trial.
People were hit hard when the economy went south because the Corporations were cheating people. If there was a problem there was no one to call to straighten it out. Each person you speak to has no authority, many of them are from another country!
For those of you ranting against those who are defaulting on their mortgages, you seem to stick you head in the sand when it comes to the hundreds that have been outright cheated in this crisis. Of course, there are many who were not prepared to own a home, but lets face it, the banks make the rules and the qualify us or not based on their rules!
When we were looking for another lender, their were brokers coming out of the woodwork offering to get a loan for us. They would promise us almost anything, but when the paperwork came it was not what they said it was.
One broker even begged us just to sign a fixed loan for almost 8% interest and promised me in 6 months he would get us a lower loan! We all know how that would have ended!
Millions of people in this nation are losing their homes, it is an unprecedented epic of our history! Traditional the American people have paid their bills, or if necessary, declared bankruptcy and moved on. This is an epidemic of extraordinary proportion with senators and attorney generals coming together to seek reform. This is NOT just a matter of deadbeat consumers.

People were not just "hit hard", they were cheated by people who they trusted, banks that they trusted. Hedge funds, insider trading, illegal under the table deals. Banks are about money, that is why they are scrambling to recover their losses by any means possible. The people are about money, also, to raise their families, to pay their bills and to provide the basic necessities, shouldn't they be about recovering their losses, also?

Immodest,
No, banks do not give you notice, nor did they, because as the bank so eloquently put it, "the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing." Do you honestly believe that banks answer to a higher authority than the people they serve? Banks are compromised of people and if you blame the homeowners for not keeping a better eye on their finance, then you have to weigh the banks with the same measure. Perhaps, even a higher one, since they are the ones who set the standard. If I am late on my credit card payment at 0% interest, even by one day, the bank has a right to now charge me 29% or higher...there are no regulation in place, they could charge me as much as 70% interest and blame me for not paying on time.

If the bank forgets to pay our taxes (which they did) or record our mortgage payment (which they have done) where is the recourse for the customer?

Yes, going to court is the right thing to do. It will prove who is right or wrong in this matter, but going to court is very costly, thus far it has cost us almost $40, 000.00. Homeowners who discovered they had been cheated usually don't have that much because by the time they figure out that the bank is setting them up, they have spent all their expendable income trying to salvage their homes.

I believe we are being denied justice because our case is strong and would set a precedence. If they hold off long enough, maybe we will lose our home anyway and they will try to use that to prove their case. Let's face it, B of A has far more money than we do and they do not have to live with the consequences, because it will only be an employee doing his job. Already, their attorneys have petition the court to have our evidence removed from trial. Notarized evidence that was part of our original file.

Many of you who attack us who are struggling, feel safe now, but it will trickle down to all of you, because there is one thing that history has taught us, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Pleeze, 7, 000, 000 families, All of them shiftless, lazy, whiners? I don't think so! The fact that they were even trying to buy a home shows that they were attempting to be responsible and while I will concede that among those 7, 000, 000 there are some who were simply not prepared. I will NEVER say that it was all of them, not with all the news pointing out otherwise.

It used to be in this country that people would help one another or at least encourage each other. One of the nice things about the neighbor hood I live in now, is that people here do encourage each other and help each other as best they can. No one can carry another's burden, but we can wish them well and encourage them when they are struggling.

Or...we can kick them when they are down.

I have a job and a life and a family and I type very, very fast.

I have neither time nor information to form my opinion about your case.
But I have an opinion about BOA and about a good number of folks "hanging around" this web-site.
Please be informed that people like Stealth Pilot enjoy insulting other people. He is not in the military, not a woman and does not work for BOA. Stealth Pilot and others behave in a classic way of defending their oppressors. We (including myself) realize our powerlessness confronting these banks. Our politicians have sold us down the river long ago. All us average people suffer the same abuse including Stealth Pilot.
The difference is, that we deal with our frustrations in different ways.
Stealth pretends to be a mighty Steatlth Fighter Pilot. The "potty mouth" should be a hint about his real identity. I deal with my frustrations by trying to reason (realizing the futility of my endeavour), and you deal with it, yet in another way (I guess).
What to do? First reason with people like Stealth over and over again. Eventually you will get through to him. Once this is done we are many and few which oppose us. Then we change the banking laws. Done?
I am not optimistic however.
Good example is famous Joe the plumber. Even so, he made a lot of money with his book deal, he did not realize that he is supporting a point of view which is contrary to his own interests.
This behaviour is exactly what I am talking about.
I have no good advice but "fight, fight, fight" and avoid "them" in the future.

I have been abused/scamed/defrauded by banks many times. The incidences become less and less because I avoid them as much as I can.
I paid for my car with cash. This will teach them...

Since these last posts, prices must have gone up quite a bit to keep up with gasoline. Norton charged my card 69.99 last night for auto renew. No email or contact, just take the money and run. I did not authorize this and had called to have this removed last year as well. An Indian woman both times. 'Oh Im sorry, it must have been a mistake in the system'. What the hell kind of system is that. Just take money from my bank account because you have my card # on file. If I know where your vault is located, does that give me the right to go to Norton and take 70 bucks for some BS service that I want to offer them. ###, and amazing that this is legal.

Bank of America is the worst bank of all. They did not credit my account even after I deposited cash which led to checks bouncing and a huge mess.

My husband and I started a modification process with Bank of America on August 28, 2010. We met the qualifications for a trial period and those payments started in October, 2010 - December, 2010. We paid the notes on time and according to paperwork that Bank of America sent to us, our loan modification would be final within 30 days of the last trial period payment. It is now the end of May, 2011 and our modification is still not finalized. It was just yesterday, May 26, 2011 that we were told that we would be receiving a letter of denial for the modification because one of the investors said "NO" to the final approval. "Why", we asked and were given the answer... "Bank of America" can not release that information to you. It was then told to us that our modification is now in the hands of Fanny Mae and if they can not approve us, then the modification will go to "in house" with Bank of America with still no guarantee that we will be approved for our final modification. We have continued to make the trial payments every month since October 1, 2010 but Bank of America keeps that money in a reserved account which is not applied to our loan, charging us late fees and reporting to the credit agencies that we are now 10 payments behind, when in fact, we are only 3 payments behind. We currently have a interest only adjustable rate mortgage that we are trying to get out of and be placed with a loan that pays towards principal and the interest does not adjust. Reading all of the stories and lawsuits against Bank of America has made us question the Bank and if we are just being tricked into making those trial period payments (which in our case is higher than the original note), only to deny and then foreclose on us? This seems to be the way that the Bank works when in reality they have no intentions of finalizing anyone's modification loan. Even those that qualify.

I totally agree with this person, BOA does not want to help anybody and they are not using Obama's modification plan like they should, all I hear from people are they are the worst Bank to deal with, It is the investors who are the real criminals for this bank!

Bank of America is criminal. They are scammers and rip people off. They do whatever they want and have no mercy. They lock peoples loans and charge huge fees on loans that have not been late once. They are the "kick you while youre down and take from the government company". Tthey also let real estate deals die so that they can foreclose and collect the insurance.
