Credit Card Cancellation
I tried to contact BPI to request for the cancellation of my credit card through their hotline (+[protected] but to no avail. I haven't been using the credit card for several months already so I want it cancelled. Besides they are already charging me the annual membership fee (AMF) and I don't see the point in paying the AMF for a credit card that I barely use and have no plans of using in the future.
After a few failed attempts to call the hotline, I sent an email to [protected]@bpi.com.ph hoping that someone would respond and take action on my request. I sent a number of emails but NO ONE from BPI responded to my email. All I got was the automated response which is not really helpful.
Not getting a written response from BPI, I called their hotline again a few more times and when I got through, I thought to myself that finally, I can get the damn card cancelled already. But no, it was just another nightmare. When I pressed the number that corresponds to credit card concerns, I was asked to enter the 16-digit card number and so I did. But guess what? The voice prompt (or the bot?) couldn't recognize my card, saying it doesn't exist! How on earth can that happen? I tried it a few more times but still nothing. It was just so frustrating.
I emailed BPI again and informed them about the situation. I also asked if they cancelled my card already which is why their bot cannot recognize my card's number. Still no response! I mean, what kind of customer service is this?

Last Oct. 29, 2020, I withdraw amounting 8000 pesos at BPI atm machine installed at LRT Edsa station. Waiting for several minutes of transaction then reflected as a Transaction Failed. Then my ATM card came out, no receipts given by the machine, atm machine return to main menu/home screen ant the atm card acceptor return to color green meaning my transaction already ended there. Upon checking my account thru online banking it was already debited to my account. Then I report that incident to BPI hotline and given me 5 working days to resolve it. After the given days I called again to BPI hotline, they said they are balance and the money was dispensed by the machine. How come it will happen. It's really clear that it was a transaction failed. They advised me to call my BPI payroll account branch which is BPI Ayala Triangle. Then they given me the same reason and report given by the customer service. They said they will ask for an investigation but until now there is no update given to me. Please help me for a thorough investigation regarding this. For me it was a huge amount already. I'm just an ordinary employee and I really need to return that money to my account. Hoping and asking for your help to resolved this. Thank you very much in advanced.

No cash dispensed, but deduction on my account.
I attempted to withdraw 2, 000pesos, but no cash was dispensed. I tried another attempt, but still unsuccessful. I tried to check my balance with BPI app. My account has been deducted total of 4, 000pesos. I reported it another day. Funny, they insist I withdraw the money. I swear there's no money dispensed during that time. I kept coming back to BPI ebloc 3 Building, IT Park Cebu City many times complaining to get a refund. It was a run around, they don't care. They are not afraid even if it escalates to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The heck is 4K for, it is small amount. I leave the incident report because it is no use talking to them, I was disgusted how corrupt their system. Be careful because this happens, everytime there is an Upgrade/Maintenance or whatsoever on their end, don't do transactions like withdrawing money, if there's no money dispensed and you account's been deducted. It is ultra difficult to impossible getting your money back, they won't take ownership. That Bad experience I would never be forgotten.

Finance charges, fraud, not much assistance
I was a fraud victim. I have been calling and emailing bpi for a month and a week now, however the accounts department would not seem to care that much with what hppened to me. Finance charges are not being reversed. And assistance from the payment arrangement seem to be a heavy task or burden from them. Accounts or collections department arenot that compassionate and helpful and considerate enough especially in this time of pandemic. They only want payments. Money money money. I have been a frustrated client of BPI. I never thought this could hppen to me. I am so disappointed tht I want to pull out every bnk account I opened with this bank. I have been a credit card owner at BDO but this type of event never happend to me there. And, in addition, the customer service is easy to talk to, helpful and right on time.
I do not understand that BPI tries to seek understanding due to their skeletal workforce arrangement but does not understand the immediate needs of their clients. Immediate needs werent being addressed and delays in addressing those incurs finance charges and interst. It shows how the company seeks only for their own benefit and not making it a goal to make both ends benefit.
I am just really disappointed how BPI responds to people struggling with fraud, and even more as to how they respond with their clients during the pandemic.
This is happening to me also right now. 2 months already without feedback and i have several reference number already. This also has never happened to me on other bank. Super bad service. worst ever. I regretted activating their credit card this pandemic.

This is Freddie S. Bandong, a BPI Card holder. I carry a BPI card since 1985 and I had no major problems until today. Pls. be informed that I have been paying my bills religiously even without billings received. But, my billings for June and July 2020 are received only today, Sept. 28, 2020. Why? and, I noticed that the envelopes do not bear any date when sent by HO and received by their Davao Office. I presume this is a local delivery. Maybe, their local courier is at fault or remiss. However, to date, I am up-to-date on my obligations. They can check on the veracity of my statements.

Credit card membership fee and incurred charges
I have been sending emails and calling your hotline requesting for a reversal of charges and Membership Fee. But unfortunately, all I receive are automated emails.
I was really shocked when your card was charging me with more than 6K this is far more than what I used using your card. I usually do not get any billing statement from BPI.
I really am upset and harassed with this charges and Membership Fee. Because as I remembered it, I was offered to avail of the card and use it with ease.
However, with the way I am being handled by your card, I am worried that these charges would be compounded because I am really not anymore interested in using the card. I am arranging to transfer all the remaining dues (that I have only used) to my other bank.

I am complaining about my credit card
I got my credit card last january 2019, but as of february 2019, someone used my credit card for a trip to germany. I had no passport so I have no way to go overseas. I had fill up a dispute letter in bpi lapaz iloilo last march 2019 but still there is no concrete assistance to help me resolve this case. Your system keeps on calling my cp number and texted me about my charges. Pls help me.
Fraud / annual membership fee
I am never willing to pay for your annual fee because this year I had fraud charges which you did not fully helped me with. Your customer services really sucks! I have been messaging you for three weeks now! Now I no longer want your services at all. Kindly please cancel the card! You have never been helpful at all! Credit card
I applied in one of their branches for a credit card. After not hearing anything about its status for 6 weeks, I decided to give them a call. The agent told me that there wasn't any application filed under my name. I visit the branch again and it turns out that my application hasn't even been passed.
A week later they told me that they have found my application and have already passed it to the designated office. I was expecting to get a text message regarding the results after 6 weeks, but then again, I did not hear from them. I waited for two more weeks before calling them. When I did, the agent told me that there wasn't any application under my name. I explained the situation and asked him to double check. Unfortunately, there wasn't.
At the time when they have said that my application was passed for real this time, I asked for a POC and a contact number. So, I decided to contact her, but she never answered any of my calls or even sent me a text message to reassure me.
This was truly a frustrating, disappointing, and very stressful experience for me. I would not recommend this bank as they do not clearly care about their customers.

A gentle follow up on my request for finance charges reversal. Consider this as my last follow up but kindly address my new concern. I've also included BSP for formal complaint.
I understand your current process on how you waive finance charges. I admitted that I was not able to pay my charges ahead of the deadline though I paid for my minimum amount due. I totally understand that these are not considered to waive my finance charges though, since last May, I've called your hotline several times, but due to ECQ, you were in skeletal workforce up until now which is totally understandable so as an alternative, I've reached out thru your email and twitter account. No one responded except for once or twice, the rest, they just acknowledged my emails.
I am asking for compassion and consideration. I am requesting for finance charges reversal covering month of April and May, in fact, I wanted to include March since ECQ started that month. So, in line of Bayanihan Act, I requested for finance charges reversal. I am reiterating that these trying times, we need compassion and consideration. CITI waived my finance charges in one snap and as part of their one time courtesy. I've already explained this to your customer service. When ECQ lifted last June, I've called your hotline and luckily, they responded. Unfortunately, you declined my requests thrice, and I requested again for consideration. If I'm not mistaken, i called last July then they mentioned that the request got escalated and it has around 7-10 Business days to respond if not, they promise me to call me for updates but until now, ECQ started again and I didn't receive any feedback. The amount that I was asking, roughly, 3k-4k, is nothing compare to us who struggles to earn money. The amount I was asking will lessen the burden and expenses. And most especially this time, we struggle to pay our utility bills and such. Then when the time I incurred below charges, I bear in mind to pay my charges on time to gain good credit standing, so I almost paid all my charges. I paid my charges on time.
As of today, 8/12/2020, I opened my bank statement for the month of August, I saw another finance charges which I am confident that I paid for my charges ahead of the deadline. Then another, I saw annual fee charges. Why? I requested before to waive my annual fee since my company is affiliated to BPI. They waive my annual fee during my first year, but I requested free annual fee for life. You may check my records that I requested to waive my annual fee. So for the last time, I am asking again for your compassion and consideration.

No reply on request of annual fee reversal
I e-mailed help@bpi.com. ph 4 times since last month. Nothing replied. I was not paying the annual fee because I am waiting for their reply. This annual fee now got an interest fee and BPI consistently texting me twice a day to pay the unpaid due. I always pay my credit card dues in full and in advance because I don't want this little financial obligation be one of those bothering in my mind.
Now I paid them all thru my BPI online to stop the BPI automatic texts, I wish and I hope that the annual fee and its late payment charge/interest fee be reversed on my account.

I just want to check and verify my debited account thru online last June 30, 2020. My 1st call July 1, 2020 the customer service assisted me and she got my account number and gave me a reference number and told me it takes 5-7 working days. Last July 8, 2020 I followed up again and I asked to deposit in my account instead of depositing to the G-cash number and the Customer service told me again it takes 5 working days. I followed up several times but they told me that I will wait for their call. I suggest to the in-charge of customer service that they must be responsive to their clients.
