I was due for my physical and I went in to have it done and also donate bc I had a promotion. All my vitals were good and everything was good until I got into the nurse room with Brittany. She told me I had to have a receipt for my tattoo that I had gotten over a year ago. I had picture proof in my phone for when I had gotten it but she refused to accept it and said she was gonna put in the computer that I had gotten it done that day which meant I couldn’t donate for 4 more months. When I told her she was wrong and that she was lying she said it was her decision and it was done and finalized. Came back the next day to talk to a manager and he said the same thing and refused to accept the picture proof.
Desired outcome: For this to be resolved and fixed and an apology given bc the nurse was extremely rude and nasty and shut the door in my face.
Terrible service by a nurse called Evette
I've been going to BioLife plasma center in Columbus Georgia for over 2 years on and off. Usually my pulse is about 101 so I can't donate. No problem I understand it's part of the process. Well the last few times I went I had a male nurse pull me into the office and Inform me that if I had one more the facility could defer me until I see my PCP and get the "full works" to make sure there is nothing else going on. I went ahead and did that before I came back to the center. Seen my Doc. On February 16th 2023. When I went back a few weeks later, I turned in the medical form, a form that specifically stated.. "She is medically stable to donate plasma." Unfortunately, for whatever reason the medical document was lost and not put into my file. I returned on May 23rd, finally passed all of the screening process, even the ladies at the front was happy for me! I go to have my physical done by a nurse that I had already been informed to avoid her at all cost. I was told by not just other donors but staff members as well. My oldest daughter went almost 2 years ago, this would have been her first time donating, ever, and she came out angry and on fire, informing me that from the moment she went into Evettes office the lady had an immediate attitude with her and informed my daughter could not donate because when she was 14 she took antidepressant and needed a paper stating she is no longer on the medication.y daughter received this medication for a month on the military base...at 14! She was 21 when she was trying to donate. I have never had any issues with any other staff members up there. I believe the rest of the staff knows how to treat donors with respect. Evette, on the other hand is not only rude but is costing BioLife countless of bottles of plasma because she clearly hates her job and doesn't seem to want anyone in the back making any money! I later, that same-day turned in the medical form again, but got an attitude immediately with me because I showed out on her, in other words calling her a liar. I slammed the paper down on the desk as she was asking me to leave. She couldn't even be professional enough to say come in my office and let me see the medical form. No, immediately just told me to leave.
Desired outcome: I want an apology from Evette with her supervisor present. Hopefully she'll learn not to hide behind her title on how she treats donors
Get people that actually want to help people, help make it easier to get appointments
Horrible place, awful staff, nobody calls you back, I made appointment then when I got, there they said oh no, the app is different, so we can’t see you today, you have to have a physical, no I don’t i’m not new, so wouldn’t let me donate. So nobody knows anything, they tell you nothing on app is right. But yet they keep sending me emails saying to please come back and donate. Not worth it, this is the worst plasma place in omaha. Don’t waste your time. It’s too stressful, nothing about this is easy or helpful. They don’t care about people, they’re not happy working there. It’s horrendous
Staff
I was a new donor and began donating around April of 2023. On May 7th, I was in for a donation and passed out due to not being able to get my blood back. I then had a gash in my head and had to be transported VIA Ambulance to the hospital where I got 5 staples in my head. I was told by Dorris, Arbrook staff, that the ambulance was complimentary and that...

I suffer from sever anxiety so before I went to Biolife to give plasma - I called several times. To make sure I had everything I needed to make it a fast interview. They told me I may need a drs note, so I got two.
When I got there - I gave them some info. They took me to the donating chair to see if my vein was good. Passed that. Then I had to sit - get blood pressure and body temperature checked - passed. Got blood test - passed. Then sat and answered questions on a computer for 1/2 an hour. Then - I had an interview with a nurse. This was already 2 hours! The nurse went over the same questions I just answered. Went over my med list and started asked personal questions about my health. Why was I on this med. was it helping? Have I been in the hospital ever - why? How long? U ok now? Even a cesarean I had 40 yrs ago! Then when he saw I had depression - the interview changed. He treated me like a criminal. Asking personal questions! Which were none of his business and had nothing to do with plasma. He refuses my 2 notes from my drs. And said I couldn’t donate. Because he wanted to contact my drs! All because I had put I had depression 10 yrs ago! It was a horrible experience! I called to complain. And got no sympathy.
Vitals process/experience of employees
I have been donating plasma for over 2 years and have never been turned away for my hematocrit, today at BioLife an employee did my finger stick and took two drops of blood into the testic and then proceeded to tell me that my hematocrit was 37 when I asked her to retest it she told me that they couldn't which I know is not true because it can be retested...

For someone who manages their bipolar disorder this company is a huge insult. Despite being on medications (none of which were listed as red flags) and seeing both a psychiatrist and psychologist on the regular (for over 5 years now), I was instantly rejected from donating. Again, this had nothing to do with my medications, none of which were on the rejection list. I was denied simply because I had a "psychiatric disorder" and I would continue to be blocked from donating until I had a form filled out by my healthcare provider (not myself). As if to add insult to injury, the form asks things like, if I can be trusted to give an accurate description of my medical history, if I am competent enough to understand the procedure and potential side effects, and if I have a legal guardian (I am a full grown adult woman). For those of you who have never donated before, I had spent 40 minutes prior to this evaluation filling out a questionnaire that had me confirm my medical history and my understanding of the procedure and it's side effects. Despite this, I was still asked to provide proof of my competency and ability to provide an accurate description of my medical history simply just because I am diagnosed bipolar. Proof that I could not provide for myself, proof that had to come from a doctor.
My boyfriend, who has depression and takes meds (but, unlike me, does not see a psychologist or a psychiatrist regularly) was not asked about his "psychiatric disorder" and was still able to donate. They actually had more questions about his asthma then anything to do with his disorder!
I was diagnosed as bipolar in 2019 and since then I have NEVER felt so discriminated against like I was here. Needless to say I will NOT have this form filled out as I will NOT be returning.
They did the same to me and kept my personal documents
Disrespect/lying
First off this place is very rude.. they act friendly when you first come… but the technicians are smart mouth and rude.. and when you get smart back you get deferred…
Today they got rude because I asked if my bandages could be criss crossed so my elbow could hv more flexibility.. because them bandages be tight. … the tech girl sd.. I’m going to do it the way I do..
And I had a problem with the way she was talking to me..
And she called her co-worker manager girl over.. who instantly started looking at me side eyed…and she gonna say we don’t do cruss cross. And I sd I’ve been hvn it done b4 w/ no problems..
I sd they rude. And she yells send that file to me. Meaning so she could defer me. Fr asking a question..
So then I tell her hv a Wonderful Day..
Ask person at front desk for corporate number. Of course she didn’t know it. Asked to speak to manager Ian came to tt me.
And if course not knowing story sd I yelled at his workers. They a damn lie and I told him that.
He sd I couldn’t come back because they lied. So I cussed all them out. They Petty Asf looking for a reason to defer someone cause they already judging you for coming. I donate to gv back for the help we received when my child was hospitalized.. because she had 2 transfusions and is no longer here but this Bethel Rd. Location is Funny acting cause there in the Caucasian area… and look down in AA people
Desired outcome: An apology from the liars
complaint against nurse
I was put on a medical hold by bio-life. I wasn't told until I called a nurse Jennifer who said you can not donate now, no reason and I then asked to speak with another nurse she said, she is not in and non of your business when she'll be back. I called another location and that nurse said, we can not disclose any information over the phone, however you can go to your donation site and ask to speak with a nurse that can go over it with you. This has now been a week calling two location and then waiting for them to call back. JENNIFER AT Harwood Height is a VERY RUDE NURSE. If I was the manager she would have been written up for the way she communicates with donors! I will not deal with Jennifer at all.
Service
I go and donate plasma at Biolife- have done it almost 6 months. Very few people are nice and the rest are downright rude and they do not hid it. Then they miss your vein cause a bruise by fishing around and getting someone else and then because THEY bruise you you now have to go see the nurse until your bruise goes away and that adds on an insane amount of time so you end up being there like 2 hours or more.
I have had dry skin on my elbows forever- not ONCE has it been an issue and today the girl said I need to see the nurse- they are the worst
Desired outcome: Address it
Plasma donation
Hello, I find your company advertises much stating how important our donations are, saying how much you appreciate we donors.
If what we do makes such a difference, why do keep keep Drastically cutting back on what you pay we donors? It often takes quite some time to donate, minimum 2 & 1/2 hrs IF Lucky. Your company makes quite the large amount of money. You are opening facilities around the country, training people. If it were not for us donors they would have no one to learn, train ‘ practice on. I find this behavior from BioLife extremely insulting, degrading & disrespectful I do hope you start paying what we mean to you. It is our plasma you need.
Desired outcome: Higher pay for our donations
Service and racial profiling
This is my second time trying to donate k just keep getting forget about the first time my friend that refered me got the best service since I came on they have been just ride and not even worried about me they are not even busy as I normally see them this is a complete show of my American rights something needs to be done about this ok I do have a friend...

14 years ago I woke up from sleeping and had a red irritation on my groin area. No sexual activity I went to give plasma as I have been for years and was asked about a "rash", from wich I didn't really think of it as a rash but said yes. They kicked me out and said I was dishonest because I should of told them about it earlier. In fear it was an STD...

I decided to try something new and went to donate plasma today. I will probably never attempt again. They said it would take 2 hours including the donation. I was treated very rudely from the time I walked into the door until the nurse said I couldnt donate because of a medical issue every dr I have said is not a problem. If they would have had the common courtesy to return calls I called had a drs excuse for them. thank you BioLife Plasma Services in columbus for wasting my gorgeous Saturday afternoon. I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone. Out of 5 stars I give you a 0.
Desired outcome: I would like them to have common courtesy and return calls and/ or go by drs work you can show them. Every hospital has an app that’s shows the results of a visit and what a drs says about an issue
Employee behavior
There is an employee named Temple who was very rude to me. I am hard of hearing and when I didn't understand what she said to me she got frustrated with me and raised her voice. On another occasion I went to donate and the guy who was inserting the needle gave me a hematoma and then pulled the needle out and reinserted it. When he saw he had pierced the vein twice he pulled the needle out, put a gauze on it, said "put pressure" on this and ran off to get a nurse without telling me what was happening. I panicked and asked what was happening and the nurse explained and told me not worry and that I'd still be compensated for the day. Then today when I was getting my vitals checked before donating, the lady that was doing it told me that my heart rate was a little high and would need to recheck in five minutes. So she had me wait in the vitals recheck area and left me waiting for about twenty-five minutes before I asked someone else what was going on. She then came back and said she couldn't find her face shield.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and an apology
Help regarding terrible hematoma from plasma donation
The technician inserted the needle poorly such that the return of red blood cells was leaked into the surrounding tissue resulting in a huge hematoma that made the entire arm black/blue & extremely painful (front and back). Tried to contact Biolife management by phone and email but no-one responded which is terrible customer service! Do not plan to ever return!
Desired outcome: Contact from management with reasonable offer of compensation to make up for missed donations and poor outcome
Donating plasma services
Manager was beyond disrespectful and very phony. She was asked to speak to someone other than herself to handle the issue of switching appointment times with my husband, it resulted in her telling both of us we can wait out in the car, an that she would call the police. We told her we were late because we take the bus to get to the location. There was no reason for her to act very smart, stuck up, and selfish because she was the only manager up front. She did not represent the company well at all, and because of this incident I will not be going back to BioLife to donate plasma ever again. The Craig location Las Vegas has really made me change my mind on donating and I will never donate here again or refer any family or friends to go to this location.
Desired outcome: Fire the lady manager an replace her with a kind hearted person instead who will represent BioLife in the correct way that it deserves.
The miss documentation of my medical information
When doing my physical with miss Linda there became a misunderstanding in my type of allergies. I was trying to explain to Linda that my allergies were based on just smells and grass all kinds of stuff but nothing life threatening. In doing so I'm mistakenly use the word perfumes just trying to help her understand what I meant about different smells cause she appeared like she was not understanding. I told her several times that I am not allergic to perfume nor does perfume cause me any type of physical health problems. She decided to go and get the manager Mr. Jason because she was not sure on How to Correct the clarification or if she could correct the clarificationa. After explaining to Jason the manager, again that I am not allergic to perfume and it doesn't cause me any health problems he proceeded to tell me that because the mistake was Made it could not be taken away therefore I am not allowed To donate at any of the biolife plasma facilities. Now this is not right or professional because errors and correct or made daily. So to turn away a donor because of an errors or a misunderstanding is wrong.
Desired outcome: Please have someone call me at [protected] So that this error can be corrected and I can continue with donating plasma to save others lives.

Plasma donor
Wednesday 22 March 2023, Biolife Plasma , 867 Goodhomes Road, Orlando, Florida
I know for 100% sure that if this center would have been located in an upscale white neighborhood this center would have treated people, who are Humans,, way much better and different than the way they are being treated right now at this location. People make APPOINTMENTS to come here, also a word which doesn’t mean [censored] to this center. They make appointments which means that ALL their other activities are being set aside to come. And everytime people come here, 50% of the time you will be send away because they won’t be able to help you or you have to wait 5 hours in line to even ever get the donation done . What bothers me most though is that the donors get harassed, yes these same, according to this company, “worthless” Pinehills people get harassed with emails and text messages like: “we miss you, please come back, your donations are saving life’s” what a rediculous approach if it doesn’t mean anything ! Never ever ever ever in my life had I ever dealt with such a rediculous company. I will see if I can get this viral on the internet online, I will definitely copy/paste this message. The world and also Orlando News Channel should know what is going on here. Because waiting 5 hours in line means you are dehydrated without food&water, so they are actually not even allowed to tap your plasma. But as long as it’s 2 PM they don’t care that you stand in line till 7 PM without food&drinks. But I’d it’s already 7 PM they won’t let you wait, send you home , because they want to go home themselves, so it’s ALL selfish. Whatever is in their interest, the donors, they just [censored] on the donors !
Desired outcome: Treating people more with respect, respecting the time and effort people make to go to their appointment
