C-date is a total scam, full of Autobot responses, false profiles, mostly claiming to be from the same town
I warily signed up, only to find it full of Autobot responses, false profiles, who mostly claim to be from the same town. My Inbox was flooded daily with supposed interest from mostly gorgeous looking young females, less than half my age, all allegedly clammering to jump into bed with me. They obviously had not read my profile, which stated my preferred age range, & when I did succumb to replying to a couple of ladies with a bit of chat & a few questions, the (obvious Auto) responses were instantaneous, with absolutely no answers or reference to anything relative in my message. Also most had many American spellings or phrases, yet had claimed to be living in the same town as me in Kent UK. At one point, I even deleted my photos & changed my Town to prove that it WAS Autobots, saying "What a nice picture" or Profile. Most messages sent to me were short one liners with obscure questions, in the hope of gaining a response & having to continually purchase more Tokens. TOTAL SCAM - Needs to be CLOSED DOWN.
Desired outcome: TOTAL SCAM - Needs to be CLOSED DOWN. & refund to all us suckers who had hoped for a genuine chance of a Match up
Impossible to cancel membership or to close account
I've emailed them a few times and still nothing. I created an account in the hopes of meeting someone on c-date. Since I've had nothing but robots and endless emails of nothing. Having further read reviews, I saw it was impossible to cancel the membership or account. They said I must fax them a form of some kind which I don't know how to attain. I'm worried for my personal bank account and the money I've worked for. Can anyone please help
Unauthorised collection of 'renewal' subscription - impossible to cancel
I signed up for the service in thinking thinking it was for 1 month - without it being made clear it was a automatic renewable monthly service.
I was not impressed with the service and have tried to cancel without being able to. The unsubscribe option on the App requires a complicated procedure which I have not been able to complete as I do not have access to a fax!
It is only now I have just been advised of a further collection for the 'follow-on' month.
no membership number provided only reference to my email login:
[protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: I would just like to receive a refund of my addition subscription £49.90
Was this resolved? Have the same issue too...Cant believe this company has not been investigated for fraudelant activities.
Unable to cancel subscription (profile name Tony)
I want to cancel my membership but the website informs me that I cannot change my membership (I want to cancel) as my payment hasn't been processed! Looking at my bank statement the payment has clearly been made! I don't wish to use the site, it is full of fake profiles, with scammers.
I have emailed them to say I want to cancel but my response was to change my profile settings which does not work as mentioned above.
Desired outcome: Subscription and membership to be cancelled
Dating site
I have paid for the c date subscription via pay pal and used only few days and keep trying to unsubscribe but it doesn't allow me. Then I have cancel my pay pal subscription. After few weeks I have received collection letter from cms collection demanding to pay 81euros I emailed them requesting unsubscribe my account they have block my acc and I don't have access to my account to even cancel my subscription.
Can they damage my credit score or how can I get away from this scam
Thank you
Desired outcome: Cancel my subscription get away from demanding collection letters
I have the same problem, did you manage to resolve it and if so how?
C date
Similar to the other complaints, I also signed up for one month premium membership of C date. Quickly realised this was a fraudulent website and tried to cancel my account but to no avail. Ive cancelled the payment from my PayPal account but can't cancel my account. I'm willing to cut my losses on the £9.90 but do not wish to pay a further penny. I feel awfully naive falling for this trap. I want c date shut down!
Scam
I cannot cancel my membership. I joined on 30th June 2021 and have found out that this is a scam. There are no online facilities to cancel membership even though my initial payment has been taken out of my account. This is illegal.
Desired outcome: Immediate cancellation
Unauthorised repeat subscription
As per previous complaints against C-Date I also only subscribed to just 1 month of premium membership. However, C-Date has used that original PayPal payment details to take a further payment for 4 x times the original payment. I have not signed up for this and have not used the account since set up and want the account cancelled immediately and my money refunded.
Desired outcome: Refund and immediate account closure.
Dating agency
I signed up for this for a month realised it was a scam I tried to cancel this but no form available so I emailed them countless times for the form or just cancel from now no reply so I stopped payment then I had suspicious activity on my email and was advised to delete it so I did so. Now I have a letter from a collection agency demanding 81 euros I wasn't even told by c-date I owed this money I suffer from depression and at my wits end please help
Desired outcome: To have this stop
Demand for payment under automatic renewal of membership
The incident came to light via a letter, referred to below, which emanated from a German address "Haifa-Alee 28, 55128 Mainz, Germany. (with an email address: team@cms-collection.de)
The date of incident is the 15/06/2021 letter from CMS-global collection services referring to outstanding membership. Ith is in connection with an earlier date, when I had been persuaded by a ‘list of 5 Top Dating Sites' to look at their ‘No 1' listing "C-date". In that instance I decided within a few days that the site was useless to me, in addition to having seemingly non-authentic Profiles. As my attempts to withdraw my personal details were thwarted by the absence of any on-site means to do so, I simply abandoned use of the website & stayed away from it. The CMS letter referred to at the start of this complaint listed a number of EU addresses with claimed legislative powers relative to the subject of my "Debt". It was AGGRESSIVE in its use of language, MANIPULATIVE in specifying a date seven days later (being 22/06/2021) for a settlement date and THREATENING by means of the concluding statement: "IN THE EVENT THAT THE DEBT IS NOT PAID BY THE ABOVE DATE, WE WILL BE FORCED TO UNDERTAKE ACTION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE COLLECTION OF THE CLAIM. TWE WOULD VERY MUCH REGRET THIS STEP, AS YOU WILL BE OBLIGED TO INCUR CONSIDERABLE ADDITIONAL COSTS WHICH YOU COULD OTHERWISE AVOID."
"SHOULD YOU HAVE ALREADY AFFECTED PAYMENT, KINDLY SEND US PROOF IN THIS REGARD."
(sic.)
The amount they are ‘claiming' is presented as follows:
Sum of invoice(s). 139.48 EUR
Sum of interest charges. 0.57 EUR
Incidental expenses before legal action is taken. 11.65 EUR
Collection fee. 47.04 EUR
Total. 198.74 EUR
Pertinent aspects to my so-called "Debt" are:
1) I stayed with the site for a few days only. As I am now unable to access the site, I cannot give precise dates but the "few days" are a fact.
2) My Bank and I had been unable to identify withdrawals under a code ending with DE. (At the time I told my Bank that I would try to find out more, which I failed to achieve.)
3) My Bank has recently issued replacement Debit Cards, which I surmise is the reason for this sudden "claim" against me.
4) The period since I abandoned use of the website in question is now several months (from leaving until change of Bank card). The owner of the website has clearly been taking money from my a/c for several months. In an honest world, he would owe me money!
I have prepared a draft email in response but not yet sent it. I have outlined the basics of what I have written above [but have taken the liberty of suggesting that their letter is now in the hands of the local Police Force and that any further attempts to make a claim against me via CMS should be conducted through the U.K. legal system, particularly as we are no longer governed by the EU]?
Naturally I am interested to learn the views of this Complaints Board on the entire episode, including the draft email I have just described above?
Sincerely
D. O'Rorke

Desired outcome: Freedom from persecution by this dubious “collection agency”
COMPLAINTS BOARD: Please acknowledge the existence of my complaintagainst C-Date. I am appalled that the “rip-off” company is able to list a number of apparently legitimate EU firms as support for its money-grabbing dealings, while offering nothing in return. On top of that C-Date manages to prevent people from get out of its clutches, with the apparent support of EU Legislature. The whole set-up is an obscenity & should be prosecuted.
Pleasa Complaints Board, will you tell me what action you are taking against C-Date. Otherwise your pages are no more than a orum for people to let off steam!
Tomorrow (22 JUN 2021) is the imposed “settlement deadline” for me, according to CMS, Mainz, Germany. They list an array of EU organisation addresses (including Interdate S.A. of Luxembourg) which appear to be involved in this “scam” operation.
All this makes me glad that the U.K. is no longer governed by EU legislation. Nevertheless I am anxious to have this matter resolved at the soonest opportunity. C-date can no longer plunder my bank account (purely as a result of my Bank issuing updated Debit & Credit cards) which I imagine led to CMS, Germany threatening me with a visit from Global Collection Services.
The CMS letter lists Eastern European names in its list of employees, causing me some alarm. In the region I inhabit, there have already been several cases of murder & violence committed by such people (thanks to EU “open border” policies) & I NEED TO PROTECT MY RELATIVES FROM SUCH INDIVIDUALS TURNING UP AT MY HOME ADDRESS. (CMS DEADLINE 22/06/2021)!
Hi there,
I find myself in the same position
Did you get any resolution.

Membership and debt collection letter
I have had the same problem, I did not give them any of my details and money has been taken from my account. I have now received a letter from their debt collection agency which was sent to an old address I used to live at but I have not given c-date any information so I don't know how they got an address for me I havnt lived at for over 8 years. What do I do please help someone?
Interdate S.A (www.c-date.co.uk)
I have requested multiple times for this membership to be cancelled. You have taken no action to do this. Please cancel this membership with immediate effect. You have constantly tried taking payments from my account, which incur charges. I will be contacting a legal advisor about this and the ombudsman fraud department. You have no option online to cancel which is strange and I believe illegal

Desired outcome: Immediate cancellation of membership.
Hello, similar the complaints above, I visited the cdate site sometime in November and made a one off payment to access some features. I later canceled my subscription a few hours later with great difficulty but since then have been getting threatening from a debt collection agency advising me to pay a subscription fee of 195 that I am supposed to owe them. They have also been posting mails to my UK address with the same debt collection agency advising that I pay before 16th July or face legal proceedings that I will bear the cost of.I see this is nothing new and a strategy by this company to put things in fine print about a rolled over subscription unless you cancel at certain times or something. What would you advice
C-Date
I've tried to cancel my premium membership but the cancellation form doesn't go through to either email or fax. Also, I was charged over 200 dollars for a 12 dollar a month subscription which isn't what a signed up for so I just want to cancel it a get rid of the service altogether
I want to delete my account as I can't afford the subscription
i want my account [protected]@live.co.uk
Desired outcome: delete my account
Letter to my home demanding money
I have received a letter to my home from CMS collection services asking me to pay 81.37 euros. I do remember using this site but soon realised it was a scam, I don't remember signing up to anything and I certainly didn't give them my address, I don't even want to give my bank details to this CMS global collection services as I don't know if this is a legit company. Please please help
Hi there,
What was your outcome after the letters arrived.
Did you pay, and if not, did anyone turn up to collect.
Thanks.
Subscription cancellation - impossible
I tried to cancel the subscription after realising that the site is full of fake and robotic profiles that Hound you constantly pretending that they like you so you pay for more messages however since trying to cancel I cannot login I cannot contact customer services I cannot phone customer services it is impossible and they have my profile picture and information still on which they would probably use for other fraudulent activities.
Desired outcome: Access to my account so I can totally delete my profile
Did you get any resolution on this matter.
Thanks.

Desired outcome: Refund
Subscription cancellation
I joined C-date on 27/02/21 + paid for the £9.90 trial subscription. I had intended to try it out + cancel it within the month if it wasn't for me. It was only when I looked into the cancellation process that I was informed that I would need to print out a form + then fax the completed for to Luxembourg. It took 5 minutes on my phone to subscribe but I apparently need to buy 2 electronic devices + spend half an hour filling out forms + faxing them abroad to unsubscribe. This is far beyond unacceptable. I thankfully used PayPal to pay for the trial so they don't have my bank account details but him now getting emails demanding payment + threatening debt collection AND I'VE STILL NOT BEEN GIVEN AN EMAIL ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER TO USE TO CONTACT THEM. There's no way this is a legitimate operation.
Desired outcome: Cancelled subssubscription
Waste of time
I signed up back in 2020, thinking that this was a legitimate website. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
This website is a complete waste of time, I've emailed them to cancel my account and cancel any future payments. I can't find a way to do it myself. The website is junk, the help section is a joke. Don't waste your time or money on here..
Not happy at all.
Desired outcome: Cancel account and PayPal payments
