Sunday, october 22
I was supposed to receive it on oct 22 2017 at the fredericton, nb store. As a result I booked an appointment for oct 27 for my tire change, assuming my new wheel would be here.
I called the store the other day, they had no way of knowing (south side store in fredericton, nb on smythe st) the status of my order.
They told me to call canadian tire online, where I placed my order [protected].)... I called the other day, around 2 days ago.. They said they have no way of finding the status of my order, they could only say it was in progress...
This is not acceptable, my order, paid, was supposed to be here on oct 22. I have scheduled an appointment for this friday and I have no clue where my wheel is...
Please kindly confirm the status of my order, other wise I will request a refund.
I have a scheduled appointment for this friday in fredericton and need this item..
Thank you.
I am complaining about appointment never served
Hi tonight I called your branch located in 2221 Boulevard Angrignon ville Lasalle, QC H8N3E3 and asked if you can give me an appointment for fixing my flat tire now ? They said yes and I said I will be there in 15 minutes. I reached out there in 15 minutes under rain and flat tire but they refused to fix that and said we serving who came first and we can't give you services! I reminded him we talked and I gave my name to you! So I am really frustrated and nobody taking responsibility. I'm really disappointed and asking for formal apology of your branch.
battery
I went to canadian tire store located at4650 Sheppard Avenue East and asked for battry for 2014 Hyudai Accent 4 door . The customer service person gave me an invoice and asked me to pay $207.91 to cashier and bring back receipt. I paid the amount and took the battry and went to mechanic. The mechanic told me that this battry is too big to fit in your car. After that I went back to canadian tire store and complaint about the battry and asked for replacement or refund but the sales manager (Sugan) over there said you lie to us as your car is 2013 not 2014. I showed him my ownership paper that indicate 2014 but he said sorry we cannot replace or refund.
mechanic making my vehicle unsafe
This is just a little bit of the whole 4 week ordeal! Took my truck in to have my tires replaced! Said I needed upper ball joint's and wheel bearing before they would warrantee my tires. Took my vehicle somewhere else to have it done. I brought back my vehicle to Canadian tire to have my tires installed. Then they tell me now my bottom ball joints of gone. So I buy ball joints from a different company(perry automotive) have the same mechanic put them on, Bring back my truck to have the tires put on then they tell me that the ball joints were not done correctly. So I have them call and talk to Perry automotive were I bought the ball joints for them to explain the new balljoint that has been out for over a year. Once the license mechanics were told that the balljoint was correctly in! ( I took my truck there at 930 am and was told that it would be 2.5 hours! My truck was not done till 420pm) they then said that my control arm the camlock was put on backwards, so mechanic number 87 decided to switch it around and left the nut on my control arm loose. So I called and spoke to Alex to book an apt to have my truck looked at! Because my truck did not crunch and bang like it did after i left Canadian tire, he was rude and said it wasn't them! Well I had to wait 5 days to get my truck in and then the good mechanic Nick was very honest and told me the upper arm was loose! And the alignment (paid for) that I had done the day I had my tires put on was not even done correctly! So for 5 days I drove my truck not knowing it wasn't safe! I drove on the highway with my family! Very scary to find out! Alex denied them doing it! But Mitch was very helpful and made what he could right! Now the owner David Beaton has given me a letter stating I'm not allowed on the property! Why is that? I have know idea! They are the ones that put myself and family in danger with their bad mechanic! The only person that apologize and was sincere was Mitch not the managers or the owner ! So I have contacted Canadian tire head office and talked to Derek Dalecourt and he said there is nothing they can do about the issue! Also agreed that any nut left loose would be very unsafe! But told me that they are closing the case and basically move on!He did apologize, but I feel it was just said to [censor] me up! I find this very wrong and hurtful that they're just sweeping it under the rug! Also Canadian tire did not put into their System that they did turn the camlock's around on my truck and Canadian tire did not tell the head office about them touching my camlock's and blaming it on my mechanic. Which I was told by Mitch it was being done and that's why I was still waiting and didn't get my truck till 420-ish.. I find their Computer system doesn't keep track of receipts or work they have done, which I find a little shady and not right . I've had major anxiety because of all this!
behaviour of employee
In the Auto service deparment I was spoken to very rudely, by a young man named Jarod. I did not appreciate his costumer service, while I was asking for tire prices. In my oppinion this was a simple task, and I should have been treated with more respect as I was only trying to educate myself.
Please provide better training to your staff. Costumer service in key.
customer service
Arrived at Canadian Tire Store in Brantford. I stood at the customer service counter. There were two staff, one I believe is the manager of customer service the other a young women. Both of these staff were present on my last visit and would not accept my cash payment on my store card. They were very unpleasant and lacked empathy. On this day I was not greeted by either employee I was just left standing there. Then finally asked if someone could assist me. The young woman stated she did not think I was ready. I stated I was and it would be good to be acknowledged and asked. This was met with “I do not have to provide any service if you speak to me rudely”. She stated “I deserve respect and you need to treat me that way”. She threatened again not to accept the return I had. I told her it seemed she was being rude and maybe that was related to my last visit to the store. She stated “I don't even remember you”. I stated that she was not very pleasant or helpful that day either. Her response was “we do not accept payments without the credit card”. Obviously she knew exactly who I was.
The manager who had been listening supported her employee stating I was rude. All I had done was ask for assistance, I was the only customer at the counter and there were no customers in line. The young woman then spoke to me abruptly and angrily stating I should hurry up and insert my card. She aggressively pushed a papeer to me and was rude in requesting my signature. This behaviour all took place in front of the other staff (customer service manager?) Apparently it is fine to speak rudely, threaten not to assist customers or allow a return at this store. I am appalled at the fact that this rude young woman works with people at all let alone in customer service.
How can this behaviour be acceptable.
customer service
I would like to say that your customers service was the absolute worst I as a consumer have ever experienced.
Everything was going well up until it was time to pay for my service.
First the automotive attendant processed the wrong bill and if it were not for my honesty I would have walked out of your store with a $61 bill instead of a $611 bill.
I pointed this out to the service writer at which time she then noticed that this was not my vehicle.
After waiting another 10 minutes which was still no big deal, people make mistakes. I then attempted to pay my bill with MC and was prompted to scan my CT money card. The service writer then said I don’t need to do this because if I use my CT Gas Advantage MC I will receive 10x the points. I then responded with “are you sure?” She replied “yes.”
Well she was wrong, I pointed out on the receipt that it said “you could have earned $21 in CT money” with that purchase.
When I pointed it out she than directed me to customer service and I still was not irritated because again, people make mistakes...
Upon arriving at customer service with my 6 month old daughter who has been very patient as well up to this point, she started to get a little irritated as babies usually do when they are stuck in the stroller too long.
I was met with a very helpful young attendant at which time I had voiced my concerns about the CT money to her. She replied “I will have to ask”one of the 2 senior ladies conversing at the other end of customer service.
Upon explaining my situation to the senior associate she tells me that “I will have to go back to Automotive and get the whole thing voided and reprocessed.”
I was not having this, my daughter has become more impatient and I was not willing to travel back to the automotive department who had one attendant at the time and customers waiting. I replied “no” someone will have to take care of this for me, I am not willing to do this back and forth thing. She then throws her hands up and mumbles something under her breath as she turns to walk away from me.
I at this time, reading her body language and trying to decipher what she has just said to me, I decided to say “don’t worry about it, you throw up your hands and walk away from me”as I am trying to deal with the situation calmly with a baby that’s ready to leave.
She then with a surprised look says “sir, I’m going to talk to the manager” who was standing right there and witnessing the entire incident and had nothing to say to me or her associate.
The customer service at this store was unacceptable, I than left the store without resolution and leaving me irritated.
This store was in Fort Erie ON

W. Kennedy

lasalle montreal garage
Hello,
I am a customer at candian tire lasalle, montreal. This evening around 6:30 pm i stopped at the garage to put air in my wheels as i saw low pressure tire sign. I drove directly to the garage as i used to do since 2/3 years to inflate my tires. I was faced by a very impolite employee in the garage asked me to go out in a very rude way. Another garage staff came, asked whats the issue i told him i need to inflate the tire and he said ok, the other guy didnt allow him. He said i needed to go to the counter to ask for the service. I said this is new to me as i have never been asked this before. I went to the counter i waited for more than 5-6 min as there were other customers in front. I had to leave my kids in the car during this time. Then the guy from thr garage came in, i asked him isnt there a way to make this faster? The guy on counter told me whats the issue and i said, he said ok we will not give u air, u need to go out and put air somewhere else in ur car.
I am really surprised and shocked from the behaviour of these emplpyees. I was not used to canadian tire employees being rude and impolite. I am sending u this information for ur action and investigation. If u accept this: then this is really bad . I even told the manager on the counter i will report u and he said i dont care do what u want!
Thank you

returning bicycle tube that did not fit; wrong size
My teenage son bought a bicycle tube to replace a punctured one; had to return the next day because wrong size. It was a 10$ item and he did bother keeping the receipt. We just wanted to replace it with one that fits. It was in original box and in 100% perfect condition. But Customer Service absolutely refused it w/o the receipt. Asked if I can talk to manager: answer “do not know where he is”. So I left the item with Customer Service in anger, bought another that fits and left the store. The one I left I assume will go back on the shelf paid for by me…..what a shame.
Compare this to:
Home depot, Lowes, Walmart, Rona, etc – no receipt no problem: you get full refund/store credit/full replacement, etc. All these companies will call the manager to come to customer service. I am a supporter of Canadian businesses but in this case. I have had auto parts/service issues and other bad customer service issues with them in the past as well.
Not going back to CT; will recommend my friends not to shop there.
bikes
I bought two bike last night from Whitby Store. I was not told that bikes are not returnable. I came out of the store and ask my son just to test the bike in parking lot. There were sounds coming out of it and it was missing peddals. I immediately took it to inside and ask for refund due to being defective. The customer service representative was very rude and she said its not refundable/ replaceable and it has to be repaired. She just handed me over a repair receipt indicating that the company guy will come on thursday and tuesday every week and you will hear from him. Its the third class service i have ever seen and now decided not to go to Canadian Tire again nor will recommend anyone if someone is interested in buying from them.
mechanic shop
Took my car in yesterday to purchase new tires and get them switched over. I paid the cost of the tires up front. They told me I could wait around the store as it will take less than 1 hour. 3 hours go by and nothing, I had to talk to multiple people at the counter to finally find out that they broke the wheel bearing on my car and they will have to order the part and replace it at their expense, and that it will be done later tonight. So it was 9:45 and I didn't hear anything from the mechanic shop so I called and they told me it won't be done tonight. So the next morning I called and they put me on hold for 33 minutes to be exact, and they told me my car could be done around noon. So noon rolls and I didn't hear back. So at 4:30 I called back and they put me on hold my 5 minutes and I finally talk to one of the guys behind in the mechanic shop and said sorry but we have lots of people coming in and walks in are more important I have to put you back on hold for 5 minutes. 30 mins goes by and they finally told me the part just came in. So I was frustrated and went and arrived 5 minutes after getting off the phone and they said my cars done and was served with a $975 which they charged me for things that weren't even done on my car. After another battle and another hour i finally received some money back. It was the worst customer service I have ever had and will be telling everyone I know to never go to that store. That will be the last time i step foot in a Canadian Tire. Yet again another big company taking money from the poor.
noma led light bulbs
I purchased 4 led Noma lightbulbs last fall and all 4 have burnt out. They have only been used about 10% of their advertised lifespan . I have been warned not to buy any Noma brand lightbulbs by others for this reason. Apparently Canadian Tire owns Noma now . Noma is ruining Canadian Tires reputation
for quality. I would like a refund/ credit/ gift card / for $16.00 for 4 bulbs at
3.99 each. I will never buy another Noma product . I had previously bought
Noma led Christmas lights that didn't last 1 season. I had thought it was just a freak thing, but after checking online I discovered Noma has a serious quality issue.

I have bought Noma LED lights that have been burning out like flies less than 1 year. Went to replace them from Canadian tire since i did not keep the receipt they wont exchange them. Deceiving to say the least never again buying anything Noma brand.
charges that were made to me without my consent
In Nov./2016, I purchased 4 Cooper ATW Tires from your Leduc store. At the time of purchase, I was told several times by the clerk that these tires did not have to be changed in the spring/summer as they were a new type of tire and were very good at holding the tread. I even went on line and watched many videos of customers that had bought these tires and were very pleased with them. Shortly before July/2017, I noticed that the tread on the tires were very worn and was very concerned with the upcoming winter. I went into Canadian Tire/Leduc and spoke with the clerk at the counter. I think his name was Scott. He came out to look at my tires and was very surprised at how worn they were. I explained that I only drive on pavement from my home into Devon, AB. A trip that takes approx. 7-10 mins. about 3-4 times a week and 1 trip into Leduc per month for banking purposes. All on pavement. Scott agreed that the warranty would cover the tires and the truck was taken into the shop. At that time I had signed no paperwork and there was no talk about any charges to myself. I am on disability and funds are very important to me...every penny... If there was any talk about charges to me I would have had to call my bank to see if I had enough $$ to cover any charge. I did not call the bank because there was no talk of any charges to me. As far as I was concerned, they were going to put 4 new tires on my vehicle and I was going to be on my way. My vehicle is a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 with an extended warranty on it.
After coming to pick up my truck, I was handed Invoice #[protected] in the amount of $328.87...I was dumbfounded, very angry. I had to call the bank and go into my overdraft which I was also charged for . I wrote a letter the next day to Canadian Tire/Leduc and has still not her from them. They had asked me what I wanted them to do but I had no idea as I am not an auto. tech. I was hoping Scott or the Store manager would get back to me and offer "something?". Still no answer. That is why I am trying to call you to see if I will get any satisfaction from head office/complaints. If I was told there was going to be a cost of any type that day, I would have rescheduled until I had more funds but having an extended warranty, I called Devon Chrysler to see if my alignment and camber adjustment would be covered, they said they would have been covered under the warranty. Devon is a 10 minute drive from Canadian Tire Leduc and I could have saved several hundreds of $$ that day, August 31/2017. Now I leave this in your hands to see if anything will be done to keep a longtime customer.
Very Sincerely,
Bill Prunkl

car repair muffler system
A bunch of "yahoos" running the car service center at my local Canadian Tire said I had to replace the entire Muffler because the flange from the muffler exhaust connecting to the resonator was broken. They wanted $450. I called around and found out you can patch the connection either with a "Butt Splice Connector" or welding an insert to repair. Both of these jobs would cost about $100. Very unprofessional and unknowledgeable bunch of "yahoos".
trying to get a rain check
At Canadian tire in Bridgewater nova scotia today. Wanted to purchase a desk chair that was on sale. After looking for a sales rep for ten mins he said he had to go to warehouse as there was suppose to be three in stock. meanwhile 20 minutes later he came back and said had to get help to find. Well 10 minutes later came back and said cannot find. I asked to buy the display but he said not allowed. I asked for a rain check and he said I had to do that at front store. I had to copy the number down, proceeded to front store customer service and that was just a big joke to him. He proceeded to lecher the sales staff over his walkie talkie and said he could not do it and I would have to go back to the sales rep that I was with. This was a nightmare. This is bull crap. Not great customer service and he proceeded to talk very loudly as I walked away I left without the chair and no rain check feeling very embarrassed and upset. I work in retail and if I ever treated a customer like that I would lose my job.
poor customer service
Store 664. Canadian Tire 30-lynden-road Brantford Ontario
I went to the local Canadian Tire store today. I obtained the store credit card a few months ago to take advantage of the equal payment no interest deal. I had been in on Friday Sept 8/17 but discovered I did not have the credit card. I asked if they could look up my account. I was told they could not. Today I went in again. My equal payment was due today but I have not found my credit card. I did have my statement though. The young women at customer service told me I could not make a payment without my card. I explained I had the statement and lots of identification including picture ID. I was planning to pay in cash. No continued to be the answer. I asked to speak with the manager. He was called and apparently told the staff he was on dinner so I would have to talk with the customer service staff. I stated I would wait for him.
After 10 minutes or so the manager, Adam appeared. I explained my situation. He told me no that was not possible. I inquired why that was the case. He stated that if they input even one wrong number the payment would not be able to go to my account. I explained that I had an no interest equal payment plan, due today. He told me that was not the issue of the store.
I was very upset, I do not understand how a payment could not be applied to my account. I had a statement and ID. As for entering the wrong number is putting in the correct number not part of their job? How do they think retail and other businesses managed ten years ago and earlier.
As for Adam's comment that this situation had nothing to do with the store, I disagree. The fact that a customer would not be able to keep the agreement to make equal payments on time, that should be a customer care concern. I was there prepared to pay and the store would not provide assistance. I think this is POOR customer treatment.
I stated that I believed I would lose my interest free arrangement. Adam the manager again stated that was not his concern. The manager was not very personable. He seemed to enjoy telling me No and that its not his concern, regardless that this was an upsetting experience for me. The fact that I had planned to utilize a no interest deal and I had not budgeted for paying interest was a BIG issue for me. I think the store manager needs to learn about customer service and humility. Customer satisfaction and customer assistance should be his concern. I often shop at Canadian Tire and I left extremely upset.
I called the Canadian Tire store just outside of Brantford, the Paris store. I stated that I had a payment to make but have not been able to find my card. I was asked if I had a statement, which I did. I was told "no problem just come in with the statement".
I went to the Paris store. What a different atmosphere. The staff their were friendly, polite. The store has a comfortable easy going atmosphere. The staff were not trying to make things difficult for customers (this I observed while waiting in line). There were several people in line at customer service so a regular cashier offered to assist me.
When I explained I had no card the young man stated that shouldn't be a problem. A staff person at customer service heard the conversation and asked if I had called. I said yes. She told the cashier to just get the manager to approve it. This was done in a few minutes my payment was applied and I was given a receipt.
Thanks to the Paris Ont. Canadian Tire I will continue to shop at Canadian Tire but NEVER again at the Brantford store.
I would appreciate some feedback on this terrible experience.
service
Hello
during 2 weeks I can not make clean test on my car
at Canadian Tire store #321 at 8081 Dufferin St, Thornhill, Ontario
[protected], I visited store 3 times during two weeks and has been told that they do not have technician at the moment, equipment is not working,
equipment not fix yet. I spoke to manager Tony Greco he told me that he have no idea when equipment will be running again,
look like they are not interesting to provide free service.
please investigate this case, and remove their service Clean web until they fix the problem, so consumer do not need to drive to Canadian Tire #321store to find out that service not available, may be they licence for drive clean test need to revoke and give to other garage who interested to provide service free to consumer.
Very interesting on result of your investigation,
Thanks
lack of communication from customer service
Not happy! It took have someone to paged 4 times before we received help for furniture we wanted to buy. We opted to have it delivered and were told because the of the weight it would take 2 people and we cost $80.00 instead of the usual $40.00, delivery would be Saturday or Sunday and we would receive a phone call 1 hour ahead. Saturday came, no delivery. Sunday came, we hadn't heard anything by 12 noon so I called to enquire and had to leave a message included my name and phone name requesting someone get back to me. At 3:30 I called again and left another message. No one called back and we did not get our delivery. As it was the long weekend I now had to wait until Tuesday. Still did not heard from anyone by 11:00 so I called for the 3rd time and actually got to speak with someone. I explained the situation and was told that they would get a manager to speak to me and was put on hold, after a few minutes I was disconnected and had to called back for the 4th time. I was asked if I was home and that they would delivery now. Within an hour I finally got my delivery however I paid $80.00 for a 2 man delivery and only 1 person showed up and my husband had to help. All it would have taken to satisfy me was a phone call on the weekend apologing and letting me know that ogthe delivery couldn't happen and reschedule.
At no time did I receive an apology or an explanation for why original delivery did not happen.
I used to go to Canadian Tire first before going anywhere else simply because https://www.complaintsboard.com/new_complaint/#they are still to my knowledge a Canadian owned store after this experience I am rethinking where I will shop.
bell at langford victoria customer service desk
Purchased a kayak for my daughter at a Canadian Tire store in Victoria. We tested the kayak and it was too small for my daughter, so we decided to return it to the closest store being Langford. The return was two weeks after purchase, on arriving at The Returns desk - Bev was the person on duty, and she said she could not return it because I said we tested it to see the size and stability. I explained the the Hillside store said it had a 30 day customer satisfaction return policy, which they clearly told me on purchase, Bev said each store has its own return policies, I must take it back to the store I purchased it. I know for a fact there is a 30 day customer satisfaction policy in Canada as I work customer service in another store. She is extremely rude, and has no manners at all. I drove to the Hillside store, no issues with them, as their staff are much more professional than Langford Store, and the return was done with no problems at all. This is why I will support the Hillside store and not The Langford store. Sadly a lot of people told me how bad the staff were in Langford, but I had no idea until I experienced it first hand.
automotive / key cutting service
Canadian Tire Store #366, 855 Attree Avenue, Victoria, B.C.
August 29, 2017
I had keys cut which is near the automotive department. The Lady who cut the key was friendly and helpful. One key did not work so brought it back. While I was waiting two men near by behind the long counter (Automotive) were on computers. Completely ignoring me and not asking if I required assistance. I guess the computer is far more important than customer service. When I finally got angry and asked one of them to help me they were really rude and nasty pointing to a buzzer to ring for assistance. No sign or indication that is what we are supposed to do, did not even notice there was a buzzer. When I made this point to a man called Noel he loudly and rudely barked at me that he was busy and did not have time to explain this to me or provide me with any kind of assistance. I could not believe this is how he responded to me and I felt terrible like I was some low class citizen who was bothering them. I was very upset and felt terrible I told the manager about the incident pointing out I too am a customer and should be treated as such. He was nice an agreed that I should not have been treated so badly. In the past I shopped at this store often but definitely do not want to shop again at this Canadian Tire store any more. I personally don't need the abuse. Had I in my job behaved so rudely I would have been dealt with in no short time and told to correct my behavior.
