CheapOair Cheapoair Flight Class Issues

I have recently sent a complaint about an issue I had with Cheapoair and changing my flight from coach to first class due to an error on their end. I talked two supervisors and the first on was definitely not willing to address my concerns I has to tell her to ask for my booking number and then she hung up on me. I called back and talked with another "supervisor" and he was very nice he understood my concerns but was not willing to do anything to fix the issue. I am sending out a new complaint to see if I could assistance for this matter in a fair manner.

Desired outcome: TO get my class changed from coach to 1st class.

CheapOair Booking ref: [protected]

The Nanaimo leg of my booking-- Flt 8037 on Christmas Day was cancelled due to adverse weather. My son Vincent, the traveler, was coming from the UK and very exhausted and had to sleep in the airport. We were unable to re-book with cheapoair as there was no one on the other end of customer service. I ended up having to pay for a taxi to the ferry and a ferry ride to the island. I subsequently tried repeatedly to contact cheapoair customer service on the following days-- to no avail. Really, really bad service. I'll never use them again.

CheapOair Credit

I have already paid 200 dollars for credit but the agents Mike ext 106, Bryan ext 102, Sean, James, Dan and many others happens to go for medical leave after talking to me. I have left so many voice-mails but all in vain. Can someone check it out. I booked a flight on Dec 24 2021 with a return flight of Feb 16th 2022. I missed the flight booked a one way ticket for Feb 18th 2022 which again was canceled due to weather conditions and then I had to spend my own money for accommodation, do another car test and no one cared to refund. Later I paid $200 fto receive credit for the missed flight but now looks like it was just a coon game to steal more money from me.

Desired outcome: Get my credit or my money back and keep your credit

CheapOair Class of flights is incorrect.

My wife and I are planning on going on a vacation in March 2023 to Hawaii and I purchased 4 one way tickets. Two from Austin, TX to Honolulu, Hawaii. Two one way tickets From Honolulu, Hawaii to Austin, TX. I selected first class when searching for my one way flights and the flight I selected are the ones I paid for but it shows that the traveler are two with first class selected but when I go to flight details it shows. I am scheduled for coach seating. I have called your organization at least 6 times. I have called the airline twice and they told me that you all would have to fix the issue. Your employee have not been helpful in resolving the issue. Each person I spoke to gave me a different answer and they all were incorrect. I am requesting that my flight be changed to first class flights which is the class I selected. I know that there are available first class flights because I verified it with the Hawaiian Airlines.

CheapOair Disclaimers

Hello,

I've book with O'Air for several years and had excellent Customer Service. However today I booked a flight based on price with one of the reps only to later learn that this flight doesn't allow modifications. I wasn't informed of this stipulation and had I known, I wouldn't have booked. I didn't want to cancel the flight. I simply wanted to modify the time and location. I was willing to pay any fees affiliated with that. Can anyone assist with that? It's Christmas weekend. Have a heart.

So, it was a matter of me calling and having a rep to speak with her manager. They refunded me with no hassle. This issue was resolved same day! My only advice is to be persistent with them. Don't give up on the 1st or 2nd rep. Get someone to work with you. ASK FOR THE MANAGER!

CheapOair Cheap air do not use this service!!!

We bought a round trip ticket through this site. First off you will never reach a live person... Never. You will wait and wait and wait on chat and they will kindly ask you to wait. Every time you try back this will happen. After you finally get someone on chat... What every you ask or say they have a scripted response. They told me they did not have any flights with less than a 11 hour layover... The next call they will tell you that there are no flights with less that 8 hours layover. Don't even bother buying the insurance they will not be giving you your money back. They will not give you any options to try and make things better... No flight credits, transfers, no other flights will be available. The only option they will push you toward is canceling so they can keep your money. If you push hard enough, they will offer you the "86 dollars" of no matter how much you spent. Lots of shady things written in fine print you have to look up on the internet. Read all the complaints! They are making money by taking your money thinking no one will fight back! I smell class action lawsuit!

CheapOair Flight cancelled

I had a ticket for December 13 2022, it got changed many times and I spent a lot of the time every second day to re-book it. The same happened again, it got cancelled on 23 November(3 days ago), i asked them for a refund and they told me some stories not coming to the point. I will definitely not let them steel my ticket. Last time I told them that I need a refund! They are not answering me, I am a student and cant afford a second ticket. Very disappointing!

CheapOair Confirmed reservation/booking

So we booked a flight reservation last April 4,2022(booking #[protected]) for a flight for my mom-in-law on November 28,2022. We received a flight change notification last July 2022 and accepted the said flight changes without a heartbeat. Then we received another booking changer on August and September again accepted those changes. Flash forward November 16, 2022 asked the cheapoair “chat us” for updates on our booking as we have not received any updates at all for the flight. You guys kept saying that you are waiting for an update with Philippine Airlines. So I chatted with Railbeart and he was telling me that you have received an update from PAL that we will have our flights booking confirmed if we pay the additional charge saying the PAL is asking for that additional charge. Guess what? I called the PAL toll free hotline and found out that you guys never contacted them, you guys voided all our ticket reservation. They (PAL) put us on the wait list because of what you guys did. Why are you doing this to your customer? We paid this reservation it is confirmed and you guys decided to make more money out of us by charging us additional charges even though the PAL never asked for such thing! FIX THIS MESS! FIX your customer service department they are so incompetent on handling customer concerns.

Desired outcome: FIX this MESS!!! I want what I booked for and paid for! for no extra charge!!!!

CheapOair Return air line tickets due to hurricane Ian to FL thru Tripmate

See tripmate claim #7179786 - originated on 9/28/22. After 30 days was required to provide documentation re why flight was cancelled and that it was due to the hurricane so I sent the required documentation to Tripmate on 11/3/22 then they came back and needed the invoices from the airlines. I provided that in a lengthy email with all documentation outlined and broken out and attached as follows: - all necessary attachments were sent - everytime I call I have to wait another 30 days after they request addt'l info to get a response. It's absolutely ridiculous - how much time this takes - I rightly deserve my airline ticket money back - this trip was cancelled due to hurricane IAN out of my control on 9/30 - 10/9 - there was no return flight because there was no TRIP.

Please see all emails and documentation in this thread and attached..

ALL information you requested has been provided.

See Attachments as per below:

• American Airlines attachment entitled – “Cancellation & Airline Credit “ American Airlines totaling $382.18.”

• Frontier Airlines Total Bill $398.96

That was what was in the body of the email along with the reason from Frontier that they needed and all attached invoices they require. I received my hotel money back and my car rental money back - just need my airline ticket money back and also this trip did have travel insurance that was paid in the amount of $102.35. My Cheapo Air booking # was [protected] - Please help! I am so mad - I have reached out to Channel 6 news, an agency to advocate on my behalf to go public, the US Dept of Transportation and numerous phone calls and emails back and forth.

Desired outcome: My money back for my flights that is rightly deserved. TRIP was cancelled due to a hurricane.

Without the booking number, which is blocked, or passenger name and email address we are unable to check the reservation for you. Please contact us with the mentioned information so we can look into your concerns. If the airline cancelled the flight they should offer a refund. If you cancelled your reservation the insurance company will need to review your claim according to their policies.

CheapOair Rental car

Incident

Date: 18 September, 2022

Time: Approx. 2:30 PM

Gentlemen:

I booked airline tickets and rental car from CheapOair. Payment was made over the phone by debit card.

Upon arrival at Norfolk International airport and walking to the car rental area of the airport no one was present at the Dollar desk. A sign said to go to the Hertz desk. The Hertz agent started filling out the agreement and discovered that my Iowa Driver License had expired unbeknown to me. Sorry, we cannot rent you a car. Shock all over my face as you can imagine. I was not offered a refund.

My son checked with the DOT of Iowa. Driver's have a 60 day grace period to renew the license. Driving is legal.

I moved over to the Alamo desk. They had overheard the conversation. A young black girl offered to help. She stepped in the back office for a moment. Not even one minute had passed. She said we can rent you a car and did. I have a paid Alamo receipt as proof.

Summary of all email communication and docs are available upon request. No one from CheapOair would speak to me verbally.

CheapOair mis leading email

Hi.

my Booking #: [protected] and [protected]

me and my son missed our flight on Jan 15,2022. Cheaper air sends me an email saying I have before November 1,2022 to rebook the flight and travelled between November 1.2022 and November1. 2023. However, when I try booking a flight for April 2023, I was told I have up to December 8,2022 to travel. I could have used the tickets before, if it was not for the misleading email from cheaper air. So, I lost two tickets.

CheapOair Airline tickets

Booked the tickets with cheapoair in Aug 2022. During booking, the agent did not provide correct info about the refund charges. (cheapoair + arirline penalty) Later when I called for cancellation, they provided misinformation about the charges. I asked to check the call recordings and then there were lot of back and forth happened with me and they provided misinterpreting emails about the refund money. They were about to deduct total $250-300 CAD for the whole booking. But then later I came to know that the airline penalty is different and have to on top pay 250 CAD. When I escalated this to the higher management then they said we are not charging 250 CAD to you as it was agent's mistake to communicate but just penalty will be there from airline and again I received same email that you will be charged for penalty as well cheapo air charges. The supervisor is not even ready to listen and just disconnecting the calls in the middle of the conversation. Worried about the money I paid, need help and resolution.

Desired outcome: I would really like to have my refund back with penalty charges from airlines to be deducted and not anything extra because of the negligence of the customer service agents.

CheapOair Customer service

My husband booked a flight when his conformation email came through the time was wrong on the returning flight. We started calling right away to get it changed. They refused to change it without us paying more money the tickets were the same price and we paid for the insurance. When I called I was refused to talk to a manager. Needless to say we had to pay a ton more just to change the time.

CheapOair Wrong booking date

I booked 4 tickets from Rochester ny to Orlando Florida the booking was suppose to be for January 5 and they had December 5 so in changing my date of they're error I had to pay extra money I didn't have and couldn't get a refund. When asked about seating was told we would be seated together but because of error on the dates I now have to pay extra for seating together as I have 2 minor children flying.. very 😞

CheapOair Bookings

I purchased two bookings with CheapOair

The first leg of a multi-sector itinerary was delayed which resulted in the 2 PAX not making their connection. CheapOair gave me the royal runaround and finally told me to contact the airlines (multiple sectors) which I did. Of course the airlines indicated that the CheapOair has to be the one to contact them for rebooking or refund

I've spoken with CheapOair at least 5 times since Wednesday 5th October (when the saga began) and still no luck

CheapOair Request for damages due to flight delay

After flight from Toronto to Bangok

Before tow days of flight to Tipe Cheapoair Email to me the flight to Bangok to Tipe airline cancelled and you scheduled a flight or refund And while the PCR test had to be done two days ago for the flight to Shanghai, and the first test was done, I emailed Cheloair that, well, I can't cancel the ticket and I can't get it back. You have to take a replacement flight on September 3 Get me another airline. The alternative flights they announced were on September 4th and September 6th, and they said we can't get you a flight on September 3rd, and that was when I checked on the cheapoir site and it was available with other airlines. But they said we don't have a flight because there was a price difference and they didn't want to pay for it themselves.

Anyway, I had to stay in Bangkok and after the hotel expenses, I had to go to Singapore. After a long stay in Singapore and the hotel expenses in Singapore, I went to Seoul and because I couldn't find a flight to Shanghai, I stayed in Seoul for ten days. Finally, after one month, I was able to go to Shanghai due to no flight to Shanghai.

This is while I wanted to go to Shanghai for a business trip and I suffered a lot of losses due to the delay in the flight and the disruption of the business meeting.

Please deal with this complaint and deal with the losses that have been caused to me, otherwise I will have to file a complaint with the court. Thank you

Hello Sir

This has a reference to above booking reference no I have made out bound journey and dur to medical condition of one of family members I am unable to travel inbound from YHL to LHR.

I tried getting partial credit value and I was informed that we will get back to you as we need to talk to Air Canada. I made more than three attempts to talk to reprentative . All were happy to change my date and and get back to me when we have news from Air Canada about my partial credit.

I have been hold phone and doing this inquires as usual phone was getting transferred to many department. Finally to day I got answer after 1 hour of talking and infirmed me that your ticket is not refundable and not changable.

My point here is I have been following with your team but I could not get response and all the way they were happy to do changes but today they told us your ticket is not even chnagable.

I see lot of mis communication and waste of my time in following this matter where I have been allowed to do changes but now it is not possible

could you please address this mis communication and suffering I had about 3 hours of my talking time which could have been resolved

today I am in Situation that I have to use ticket and cannot change it

I would like to approach you all for compensating my time and efforts and putting across the board and mis communication happening at your end.

Could you please consider the same

CheapOair airline ticket purchase

Customer Service is a joke. Hard to contact, representatives do NOT speak English well, and due to their incompetence I was delayed 2 days getting home.

The first call to Customer Service took at least 30 minutes to complete; 10 minutes going through their automated phone system to get to a representative and 20 minutes on hold getting a new flight reservation. Got to the airport for the trip home and no ticket had been purchased, so had to make another call to Customer Service.

The second call took over an hour get the ticket purchased; by the time the purchase registered with the airline the flight had left without me. The third call was disconnected on their end before the call for a new flight reservation was completed; had to start all over. The forth call finally completed the reservation and ticket purchase for the return flight, but now I had to wait another day to get home.

None of the four Customer Service representatives spoke English well, the third one contacted was so bad most of the time I was guessing what she was saying.

Desired outcome: I would like to know what the company is going to do to improve their customer service.
