CheapOair Flight Cancel to Kelowna how issue was treated

I am now stuck in Toronto which was not my destination. It cost me more than I needed to spend to buy clothes because my baggage was to go to my final destination. I know there is an issue in British Columbia but I don't think they treated me well as it relates to resolving the issue. I understand that it is an unprecedented time but recommending a good solution for a newcomer would have been a better option.

Desired outcome: I would like compensation for the spending that I had to do to be staying in a area that was not my destination.

CheapOair Baggage fee

Booking reference [protected], FCMSAR. I had trouble with baggage fee. ON INBOUND LEG from Washington to Atlanta I was charged 100$ for my first (only) bag by American Airlines whereas it should be free; quoted reason was that it is a joint ticket with Qatar and their policy applies. I filed a complaint and got the refund from cheapoair, I also asked the agent online that I hope similar problem doesn’t happen on return. ON RETIRN journey I had two bags, I was charged 100$ for 2nd bag by American from Atlanta to Washington whereas it is supposed to be 40$ as per their policy but they said it is Qatar’s policy which applies. On second leg I was charged 100$ by Qatar for second bag whereas as per Qatar policy they allow two bags but they said that it is American Airlines policy which applies on this leg. So I paid at Atlanta on American as per Qatar policy and at Washington on Qatar airlines as per American Airlines policy. Please resolve and refund. To summarise I paid extra 100$ on inbound and 200$ extra on return leg; so selling cheap tickets without disclosing full details and such loopholes is really something with cheapoair needs to reconsider, customers should be told everything in a transparent manner. Thanks.

I did call agent while this was happening at Washington FRANK 34011 but he could not help. As for bag policy being listed it takes you to partner airline bag policy and you click the one which is applicable in my case Qatar which allows two bags. Also Why can’t we simply mention it on the ticket at the time of sale as is the case when you book through agent or directly with airline. Also the issue here is that different policies are being applied here in my case which I mentioned ie ON AA IT QATAR POLICY AND VICE VERSA. I would like to contest it further and raise level please guide me, ready to receive call if need be. Thanks.

I don’t get it, I did call while this was happening at Washington Agent Name FRANK 34011; but he could not help. As for baggage policy being listed below in yellow tab, it takes you no where; I did go there and it takes you to partner airlines and in my case Qatar which allows two bags. The whole thing is very confusing, why can’t we mention it on the ticket as simple as that. I would like to contest and don’t agree with the response, please guide me how can I raise the level so that things are understood in the right perspective. I am willing to receive call if need be. Thanks.

CheapOair 2nd Luggage Fee on each lag of trip from YYZ to IKA

I booked my ticket from Toronto to Tehran about two months ago. Flights are via Toronto, Manchester, Istanbul and then Tehran. The return flight are routed via Tehran, Vienna, Copenhagen and then Toronto.

Astonishingly the ticket is allowing only one checked-in luggage and if I want to check-in the second luggage, I have to pay $100 for each lag of the trip. Cheapoair never stated this when I booked my ticket. I am stuch with this ticket and the prospect of paying $600 on top of price of my ticket is very upsetting. Cheapoair is not letting the customers know at the time of booking that there is a luggage limitation. This is a misleading business practice. Cheapoair is basically putting customers in a situation in which either customer pays extra $600 for the 2nd check-in luggage or only check-in one luggage. I have never seen this before and I travel frequently. Potential customer, please be very careful about this site.

Desired outcome: Allowing 2nd check-in luggage just like any other normal economy class that fly from Toronto to Tehran.

CheapOair Booking & refunds worst service ever

I have to booked 2 separate tickets on this website cheapoair. 1st flight is around $2349 and set it on hold and and they charged me $2900, which i have to pay another $665 saying that the price went up!

the total amount was taken on my bank acct. Already and they haven't sent me the e-ticket yet. What's confusing is that i booked through their website but the merchant posted was "all nippon airways" but cheapoair sent me that the booking is confirmed! i spent 2 days always on the phone to have a follow up but always transferring me to another department! what's worst is that the flight is gonna be tomorrow early morning!

always asking for verification, and i already gave them all the details they need but still saying that the payment still on hold! Banks said this website could be a scam!

don't book on this 3rd party ticketing! they're cheap but sucks for real! customer service sucks too!

Desired outcome: HAVE MY FLIGHT BOOKING FIXED AND SEND ME THE E-TICKET. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER BOOKING, IF THEY WILL GIVE A REFUND i WANT IT ASAP SO I CAN BOOK ANOTHER FLIGHT WITH ANOTHER 3RD PARTY!!!!!!

It has been 15 days and the total amount of the money they have taken to my bank account havent reversed! Cheapoair marked this issue as resolved even if they did not reversed my payments yet! You're all a thief! Cheapoair refund my money back!refund my money back!

plus they said they will give an email from billing department stating that they havent received the amount $2349 for me to file a dispute, they keep me on hold and after 30 mins and while waiting they disconnected me. They said they will have to cancel my booking first to process the refund but they keep on disconecting me and I keep calling them back, and have me talk to the billing department but as usual they will just disconnect me. THIS IS A SCAM!

CheapOair Airline ticket

Bought a ticket from Cheapoair for my wife coming from Romania. There was an error on the email address that I accidentally provided when I booked the flight. I called to make changes but was promised that someone "a supervisor" will call within 24 to 48 hours. 48 hours came but still no phone calls. I have called again and again and again.. was promised that someone will call again this time but still nothing 48 hours later. Finally someone picked up my call for the first time and after speaking to this lady she actually helped me. She wrote things down and submitted it right after to the right department, I do not know if it did something or not, but someone did call me 45 to 3 hours later to confirm who I was and especially the email. He told me to wait again for 24 to 48 hours to get flight information on my email but still nothing. I also asked them to change my return flight but the lady told me that it is best to fix one issue at a time and I respectfully waited. Going into 6 days.. the email issue still hasn't been fixed but I started getting emails from Cheapoair, so I do not know if the email issues has been resolved or not, because I still haven't received any of my documents or flight information etc. Plus they keep telling that they couldn't do the change since it already passed 24 hours to make changes on my flight. I told them what happened, I was told to wait. I was told to "ONLY" fix one issue at a time by one of their agents. I was also lied upon by another agent that said he spoke to Lufthansa Airlines on this specific department [protected]) for changing my return flights while I wait for my email to gets fixed. He said he did but unfortunately this was a lie because that department was already closed at 8pm and he spoke to them at 8:49pm. So lets keep going, one of their agents said that multiple issues can be fixed at the same time. So why did that lady said that it's better to just fixed one issue at a time. This person wasted my time last night for almost 2 hours because he was just prolonging the time being on the time like he was fixing things for me.. I had to leave that conversation because it's was already almost 10pm and I had to get up in the morning and work at the hospital. He also said that I only called them a few times.. And I responded back by stating that this was impossible because I had more than 15 phone calls on each agencies between "Cheapoair & Lufthansa Airlines." What he was referring to was recorded phone calls but I sometimes have declined it from both agencies. Both agencies stated that my return flight can be change. But when you call the Lufthansa Airlines, they will say it can be done changing it but since I didn't buy the ticket from them.. I have to call Cheapoair to get those changes change. So when I call Cheapoair after speaking to Lufthansa Airlines, the agents from Cheapoair tells me the same exactly thing to call Lufthansa Airlines to get them to change things. I actually have a recording from Lufthansa Airlines agent who tried to make changes on my account information but lack authorization due to system overwrite option. This ticket was bought from Cheapoair and not Lufthansa Airlines. This is why she's getting error messages rather than a save option after making changes to my account. She have tried this 4 times and I have this recording today at 4:45pm if needed.

CheapOair Sold a stand by ticket

I purchased round trip tickets to koh samui Thailand and back to Vancouver in March 2023. On July 20 2023 I was informed tat my flight to Bangkok to samui was no longer available. I asked what do I do I have invested thousands of dollars, the agent at cheapo air said he would email the airline and get back to me. He never did so I contacted Eva air myself and he informed me the ticket cheapo air had purchased was a promotional ticket and I was on stand by. So I purchased the tickets through Eva for another 1400.00 dollars. Got all cost to me now 3500. It seems to me that these agents know you are committed and have no other choice but to pay ridiculous amounts of money. I'm sure they get a portion of it

CheapOair Air line ticket - booking

Sold a non- refundable ticket and was left with no option. still making payment son ticket that even have used. sold another one which was cancelled before flight. have to book another one at the airline counter- costed me 3 times the ticket. Felt I have been charged for something which I can not used. when contacted cheapo air was told its my fault and they wont do any refund.

CheapOair Refund for cancelled flight

I booked a flight on 8th November to fly on the 26th December. Unfortunately I had to cancel my flight on 23rd December. CheapOair only offered me a future credit. I am no longer required to travel to the destination, and unable to within the validity of the credit. I contacted the virtual assistant and they said they cannot offer a refund but I could try contacting the airline and ask for the refund myself. The airline told me it had to come from the travel agent and they had to contact the trade team. I advised CheapOair this to which they responded that my ticket was non-refundable. I then contact the airline again to which they advised it seemed like the booking was not confirmed as they could not find the booking under the reference and ticket number I provided. So quite a lot of money out of pocket and able to use the credit.

CheapOair Purchased flights on cheapoair and I have not received my tickets or refund

On the 13th of June 2023 I purchases flights on Cheapoairs website for flights to Australia.

on the 14th of June I received an email from Cheaopair saying that my credit card was decined and that i needed to put the payment through again.

I then immidiately contacted my bank to find out further information as to why my payment declined. Only to be told by my bank that the payment was not declined and that the transaction was successfully paid over to the merchant.

I then got on the phone with Cheapoair on the 16th of June to inform them that the bank has confimed the payment and to provide them further documents like the proof of payment as well as a bank statment of my account to prove that the transaction was no longer pending but in fact paid out successfully, this also included the transaction information and dates of transactions as a normal proof of payment would.

It has been a month since i purchased these flights and still cheapoair insists that they have not received the money for these flights and therefore cannot issue tickets.

I then took it apon myself to contact the airline in question and find out more information about this flight. On the 10th of July we contacted the airline who confirmed that they have received the funds for my flights and that they can see on the system that cheapoair has voided my flights. The airline proceeded to explain to me that in these instances the airline will receive the funds for the flights as Cheapoair is only the agent and therefore cheapoair is at fault here for not issuing the tickets and voiding my flights.

The airline advised me that the only way they could assist me is if cheapoair actually give them control of the booking so that they could provide me with the tickets as from the airline's side my flights are correctly booked and all i needed was the tickets to gain entry to the flight.

I have been sending emails back and forth with cheapoair for over a month, they called me for the first time on the 13th of July 2023 only to tell me that i need to be patient while they investigate this matter further.

It has been a month? what have they done to fix this situation, the answer here is nothing.

It was me who tracked down the funds, it was me who had to open a claim with the airline, it was me who had to inform cheapoair that the funds had been paid to the airline.

Needless to say, i have paid a riduculous amount of money for flights and have not received my tickets and cheapoair has done nothing to resolve this issues in more than a month.

This is by far the worst experience i have ever had with customer service and only makes me question the integrity of the company. The more i look at it the more it think they are Fraudsters here only to rob you of your hard earned money.

Please avoid purchasing flights through Cheapoair.

Really unhappy and extremely frustrated customer

Desired outcome: I want my tickets if cheapoair is not going to provide me the tickets then they need to give control of the booking to the airline so the airline can give it to me.

CheapOair Cancellation of flight and no rebooking assistance

The flight was cancelled on 10th July from YYZ to JFK. AA rebooked me for another flight on 11th through United Airlines(YYZ-Detriot-Washington-JED) for 11th July. The ticket wasnt get confirmed by Saudia for Washisgnton to Jeddah.

My flight booking was cancelled on 10th July and American Airlines(AA) rebooked my flights for 11th July, which wasn't got finaized by CheapOAir and other involved airlines. CheapoAir is making false commitments about my booking and trying to make me pay for the flight cancellation, as they are not able to rebook me for another flights.

My current booking is with AA on 13th from YYZ to JFK and from JFK to JED. This flight includes the partial flight from Detriot to Washington on 11th July, which is unnecessary and must be removed/cancel from my journey.

CheapoAir is still not able to remove the flight from Detriot to Washingtom(makes no journey sense) and this needs to be corrected. The tickets were orginally issued by CheapoAir and rebooking was initiated by AA. I need my flights as;

13 July FLIGHT AA 4357 - AMERICAN AIRLINES TORONTO TO JFK - 07:02 - 08:52

13 July FLIGHT SV 020 - SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES JFK TO JEDDAH - 14:00 - 14 JUL 08:40

CheapOair No Refund

I purchased a protection plan called 'cancel for any reason'. Cheapoair kept saying that they processed a refund mid April 2023 as I was following up on my refund starting June 2023. Today, July 6th, they say American Express has rejected the refund. I placed a three way call, representatives from both Cheapoair and American Express and myself.

Amex confirmed on this call that they don't have the capability to reject a refund.

I am on a three way call again...

Three months of no $631 refund from Cheapoair.

Desired outcome: I want my refund of $631 now.

CheapOair Cheapoair sold me a ticket across the atlantic with no luggage

who travels across the atlantic with no luggage. we thought that there will be one bag instead of two. when we were getting a boarding pass, we had to pay extra $250 for the only one bag we had. there was nothing clear in the reservation that there is no luggage purchased. they sold us a cheap ticket, only to discover that it is more expensive had we bought through someone else.

they are experts in fooling customers

if a client types a wrong e-mail, they continue to communicate with such client and talk to a ghost, instead of validating the e-mail is correct, or handle the fact that the e-mail they sent was not delivered.

as long as they can change a client they don't give a damn if he received any e-mail or not.

I contacted the service desk to inform them that i did not get a confirmation e-mail, and therefore do not have the detailed of my reservation, their reply was that my credit card did not work. so i went ahead and purchased another ticket. two weeks later i found out that they sold me two tickets for the same route on the same airline, and charged me for two instead of one.

no travel agent int eh world would do that. when i call the help deak to inform them about their mistake, they refused to refund, most likely because it will eat up from their bonus or something.

this is completely unprofessional.

My hard earned money is needed to pay for the education fo my son, which they a taking from me becasue of pure mismanagment,

CheapOair Airline reservation and ticket purchased

I made a reservation with cheapoair, but did not get a confirmation e-mail that the booking was completed. I contacted their call center and they informed me that there is a problem with my credit card and I should contact their payments department. So I sent an e-mail to the the e-mail provided stating again that I did not get a confirmation e-mail and I received no reply. So within 24 hours the next day, I purchased another ticket for the same route on the same airline.

After two weeks, when looking at my credit card statement, I discovered that I was charged twice for the same purpose (same passenger travelling the same route). I contact again cheaoair call center and they said they will study my case and get back to me in 10 days. Which they have not yet. This is an abuse of consumer rights, it turns out the e-mail was inputted wrong, and no e-mail was delivered to me, the e-mails they claim to have sent both bounced back, knowing that my correct e-mail is on file with them as I always book my flights online with them.

My wife travelled back today and the check in desk asked her why she has two tickets on the same flight, and why the travel agent did not cancel one of them. This is a complete mismanagement on part of cheapoair.

CheapOair No intimation after cancelling my air ticket

I booked air tickets for July 2023 travel for my parents on April 8, 2023.

My credit card was deducted for the airfare and it was all set (from my perspective).

I called them today to check if I can select seats and was told that the tickets have been cancelled. No reason provided.

Also, that cancellation happened on April 16. I asked him as to why was I not informed and who is going to be responsible for the increased price of tickets. We are no millionaires and this impacts people like us. Makes you wonder why companies like cheapoair exits if thata there main business..

Desired outcome: Pay me the extra amount that I need to pay for the new bookings

CheapOair Reserved seats

I made reservations for a long flight return from Halifax NS to California from May 20 to June 19. I asked for window seats to be selected for me and I paid for the service. My outbound flight had no seats booked but they were booked for the return. I called cheapo air and first of all I can't even understand the woman and she told me I hadn't paid for the service but the charges were right there. She wouldn't listen to me and kept talking. I told her again and again I couldn't understand her, but she kept interrupting me. I asked her what ESA meant and it was the seat selection fee. She was so rude and said what do you want from me. I just told her to forget it and I had to raise my voice to get her to shut up. I told her I'd never use cheapo air again.

CheapOair Cheapoair overcharge my flight booking amount and request to refund

I have booking my flight from Manila to Kuala Lumpur as below:

Original schedule Departure-Return flight is: MNL-KUL, 08-Jun to 18-Jun-2023, i revised the return flight schedule to Manila from 18-Jun to 13-Jun-2023, the total charge amount is USD 523.14, but i received my credit card showing that it was happen seriously over charge by Cheoair (USD 39.90+392.99+90.25+215.82+177.17=916.13), it is not fair and bid mistake.

Request to refund the overcharge amount 916.13-523.14 = 392.99 urgently

Yes, i already paid the original booking (USD 39.90+392.99), add USD 90.25is the charge of revised the schedule, above is ok.

But Cheapoair double charge the 215.82+177.17 even schedule was change, request to refund the overcharge amount 392.99 urgently

CheapOair They charged client for a ticket without sending a confirmation of flight by e-mail

There is many things that are terribly wrong with the online booking system and the internal controls of CheapOAir. As a travel agency (whether online or not), they sold two tickets to the same passenger going to the same destination using the same airline both bought within 24 hours without canceling one of them.

The first ticket was bought on [protected], but client did not receive a confirmation e-mail, and was unable to retrieve the booking using the app where it was bought it on. Client immediately contacted the help desk and the helpdesk agent informed me that if I do not get the e-mail within two hours then it means the credit card did not work. The client waited a full day, received no e-mail and after viewing online his bank app confirmed that his card was not charged, assumed the booking did not go through, and so proceeded to make another booking the next day.

We ask why cheapoair help desk, and after asking for the ticket confirmation number, and based on my complaint that I did not receive e-mail, why didn’t she check if there was any mistake in the e-mail, or inform him that e-mail is sent to wife and not to account holder, and check if e-mail was correct? The help desk agent simply indicated that there is an issue with the credit card.

Why is it that your app does not show tickets for a client on his account for other passengers of his family even when a client logs in with his credentials and makes the reservation and pays with his credit card that is saved on your system. This is clearly a shortfall in cheapoair system.

The booking the next day on [protected] was made successfully and a confirmation e-mail was received. The e-mail was sent to his wife's email However, in the body of the e-mail it was addressed to the client, since booking was made under his account using his credit card same as the first booking.

As you know while making online bookings all critical data on a passenger is collected, full name (first, middle and last), birth date, gender, nationality etc. So why couldn’t cheapOair systems detect that a second ticket was sold to the same passenger for the same destination and were both purchased within less than 24 hours?

Why wasn’t client alerted that there were two tickets issued in his wife’s name since [protected] till [protected] 4 days before the first flight departed? A simple control program (using RPAand basic AI) can be run on your database at least once a day to detect such duplicates and avoid this unnecessary pain and financial suffering on your clients. If you want to be an online travel agency then you need to have the proper controls to make it happen with minimum errors possible, by adopting basic travel agency due care service principles.

Why is it that the second time the client called the help desk, and give him the confirmation number of both tickets asking for correction of the double charge, that the agent was able to see immediately that there was an error in the e-mail address. The client could not see there was an error in the e-mail since he was unable to go back to the booking, it simply was not viewable on his app anymore. The e-mail of his wife was a one time e-mail inputted for the sake of that booking alone, whereas client's e-mail is saved as permanent data on his contact profile with cheapOair. Why doesn’t your system at least send an e-mail to the account holder that the purchase went through successfully? Why doesn’t your system have an alert that an e-mail was bounced or undelivered when there is a wrong e-mail address, I am sure that happens all the time with clients booking online. By the way my e-mail is perfectly functioning since client receives daily marketing messages from CheapOair.

There is no doubt that there are many serious gaps in your online booking system, lack of training to your help desk staff, lack of controls built into the system to detect duplicate bookings and input of wrong e-mails. It is clear that CheapOair is responsible and we ask you to refund us immediately with the full charge of US$1,177.70. If reservation was sent to wrong e-mail, then surely cheapoair received another e-mail confirmaing that e-mail can not be delivered as address is not correct. A simple RPA can pick up these errors and forward to hel desk agent to reach out to client.

no e-mail was received because the e-mail was wrong, and the client called cheapoair help-desk informing them that no e-mail was received, and client sent another e-mail to help desk confirming that no email was received, but your help desk failed to check if the e-mail was correct or not, and instead informed client that credit payment did not go through. The e-mail in your system was wrong and you definitely received a message that the e-mail was not delivered as the address is not available. if you want to operate an online booking solution, then you must have the proper AI and process automation in place to handle such online errors, same way as you handle automated advertisements once a client inquires about buying a ticket.

you are abusing consumer confidence and taking advantage of the little consumers by throwing all your errors onto them.

CheapOair Ticket charged

I booked a flight for $383 today and was charged $247 5 times! Totaling over $1200. All the annoyed and unprofessional representatives could say was it want them And it wasn’t a big big because it would be returned in 72 business hours. My flight was then cancelled for no reason. I say on hold for 45 minutes to talk to a supervisor. Only after saying constantly I wanted a supervisor. They wiped my one account clean and ruined all my travel plans. They refuse to take accountability or give a real answer on why they would hold so much of my money

Desired outcome: Refund all my money immediately
