Re: Booking# [protected]
Dear Customer Service:
I made a flight reservation on October 5, 2023. Immediately after completing the reservation, I was contacted, by phone, by a CheapOair representative. The representative wanted to confirm the reservation and offer available upgrades.
When the representative reviewed the reservation, I heard an error concerning departing and return information. I corrected the information, with her. The error, I asked to be checked and corrected was that the departing airport was Portland, Maine, on December 19, 2023. The return, on January 4, 2024, would be from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Portland, Maine. She indicated that any corrections would be made.
On October 7, I received an email with the booking information. Again, the departing and return information was incorrect. I contacted CheapOair by phone. The entire contact was a disaster. The representative was difficult to hear and understand. It was unclear if she understood the problem. She continued to remark, mistakenly, on the same information that required change. When she understood the problem, she began to tell me what if anything, could be done. I was told to correct the departure/return locations would cost more, because the flight was “expensive” and required more money. She put me on hold several times to “review” the information. I don’t know what her objective was. The experience I had was disrespectful, argumentative, misleading, dishonest, and insincere.
I was on the phone for one hour and thirty-seven minutes. The majority (80%) of that time I was on hold. The last time I was put on hold was after I asked to speak with a manager. I was, again, immediately put on hold and after 42 minutes, I ended up with a dial tone.
My solution is to promptly issue a refund or credit the Mastercard used to make the booking. Or, without any additional charges or fees to allow me to make comparable changes of the departure from Portland to Fort Wayne and the return flight from Fort Wayne to Portland, ME.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Sue Rushe
