I purchased a brand new 2015 Clayton Mobile Home from Clayton Homes Lake Charles, LA in end of 2014. I moved into the home in January 2015 and I immediately had issues with the windows leaking when it rains. I contacted the dealership and they sent someone from Beau Cal Mobile Home Repair to repair the windows. I've recently been unable to live in my home due to my daughter and I getting sick with headaches, nausea, and dizziness. It was discovered that I have mold in my air handler and I was advised that my air conditioner unit is too small for my home. At the time I purchased the home I requested a 4 ton for my 1440 sf home, but I was told I could not get a 4 ton because it would cause mold in my home. I have been out of my home since the beginning of October and paying nightly fees to stay somewhere else. My home was checked for other issues that may have caused mold and that is when it was discovered that my windows were not installed correctly and that I have probably had leaks since purchasing the home. There is no flashing installed on the windows even after they were supposed to be fixed.
Claimed loss: My accumulated loss as of now is approximately $10,000.
Desired outcome: I would like for my home to be completely free of mold and repaired, or for my home to be replaced with a new home. I would also like to be compensated for pain and suffering we experienced from being sick from the mold exposure.
