shorted a prescription
I had a refill on my pain medicine, when they refilled it I noticed that the bottle was a lot smaller than usual, a couple of days later I decided to count it. There was only 28 pills in it, and the prescription was for 150 so I knew that I hadn't taken 122 pills in a few days. So my husband went there and they said there was no way the 150 pills had been in that bottle because they would not have fit. And finally admitted that they only had given me 50 pills instead of 150. They did give me the other 100 but sounds like someone had made a terrible mistake or someone is shorting people on purpose, I don't know. I would never accuse anyone of any wrong doing but I think everyone should count their pills after they pick them up. I know I will from now on.

shorting meds & refills
My doctor wrote two Rx one for 20 tablets plus 6 refills one for 90 tabs 6 refills of a different med. When I go to pick it up the lady hands me a bottle for 20 tabs and 5 refills. I point out the discrepancy and say this script is for 6 refills, then they proceed to tell me that they feel 6 is too many refills, and the most they will give me is 5. "But...

constant problem with james the pharmacist
Yes I just wanted to make a complaint against the pharmacist James this is not the first time he has given me a hard time to fill a script! He accused me of messing with it in front of other employee and customers! not only have I gone to court and cleared myself of this problem I follow the guide lines of filling my scripts in one place and I still see the same doctor so don't you think if I had been found in the wrong I wouldn't be sitting here writing this ! So if the problem keeps on I will file a complaint in the courts! I'm tired of thinking these people are God ! and there is no reason he should be able to speak to someone as such!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
OK... If you had to go to court to clear yourself then there must have been problems in the past...That said, if they know of the problem then maybe you need to see about going to a different pharmacy all together.
refusal to help a loyal customer
I have been a loyal a customer of cvs since the 1990's . Same location. I filled hundreds
Of costly medications at this location. When needed the help that would be good customer service for a loyal customer. I was refused and yell at . I was release from the hospital on Feburary 28, 2014. When went pick up vital medication that I needed immediately I was told I needed a override from the doctor . The hospital sent it right away. Cvs associates claimed they didn't get it and didn't care. I ask for 2-3 pills until the matter was clear up because it was Friday afternoon and the pills could be subtracted once meds we're fill. Associate said "No"! We do not give free medication." Did not care and gave me a nasty look that said go away. And turned her back on me. I continued to call for med. for three days and final on the 3rd day. My ins. Made a call with me and stated to fill my meds I was in cvs . I have plans to do any business again with this company . Good luck to other patients reach out for help with your company.
failing to deliver prescriptions on time, everytime they are late
I have been dealing with the CVS Caremark Pharmacy for too long now. They have never delivered my Prescriptions timely; they hold prescriptions that you need to keep yourself a live, because you have a slight outstanding balance, Ummmm. I have never not paid them for their lack of Service. CVS CareMark think they are doing themselves a great business by holding prescriptions from being delivered. The problem is they have too many geniuses working there that have no idea about any medical situation. I have never seen a pharmacy that tries to bully you for their lack of performance. This is uncalled for. They act like I have never paid them. So they make your medical condition worse, because they can't step up and do their job. I pay CVS every time for the prescriptions I have had filled. I never had issues like this until I started having to deal with CVS Caremark. I would advise anyone looking to do business with CVS CareMark to look to real professional Pharmacy, and not a drug dealer who stands on the corner to get your prescriptions. Then you have to deal with ###ic customer service reps that can't even get a simple delivery in order. So If I don't get the prescriptions then I can't function to pay them the what I owe them. CVS are like Terrorests.
If a balance is due you have to pay it before your medication is shipped. Just like when you fill prescriptions at your local pharmacy. They aren’t gonna give you any prescriptions until you pay your copay so why would a mail order pharmacy be any different.
extracare rewards
I had transferred an Extracare credit for $3.00 on two separate occasions this past month from an email sent by CVS to my CVS card. When I made a purchase there was no discount on the card on both occasions. I would have to make another purchase in order to receive the $3.00 discount I was told by customer service, they would not refund it to the debit card purchase I made. They only offered one since they cannot find the other one they claim.
Since this page seems to be referring to CVS.COM and not their physical stores, I'll speak to my web site experience. Unless deeply discount via a special offer CVS.com is much higher than other online competitors. However, even worse, their shipping is PAINFULLY SLOW. I have ordered a number of times when a good deal can be had. If I order from Drugstore.com my order ships in 24 hours (or less) and I have it in 2 days or so. CVS.com can take 3-4 days just to ship an order normally and then you have to endure another 4+ days as UPS slowly moves the package from what seems to be their one distribution center to your home. Maybe you're lucky if you live near it... I don't. They need to get the orders out the door much faster and being such a large company have a few distribution centers like many online retailers so orders don't have to go half-way across the country. I am surprised they haven't tested their competitors and seen how far they lag behind.
Refusal to fill script! Being degraded by a pharmasist!
precscription relfill
I have had my prescriptions filled at the same CVS pharmacy and location for the past 2 years. I moved down to Florida From Ohio at that time and went about getting new doctors and this was my neighborhood pharmacy. Today I went to get the same 6 prescriptions filled that I always do and was told by a new and very rude pharmacist that he would not fill...

It would be nice to actually have a pharmacist that cares about their employees and customers again. I have never been treated the way i get treated now. Everytime we are busy it seems to be too much for our pic. He will tell you to do something one way then later why are you doing it that way. Do it this way. If you try to explain anything to him then he yells or takes a louder tone in front of everyone and says just do it the way i want i don't care how it is suppose to be done. He gets short with a lot of customers you can tell he acts like they r annoying him. He has even told them wait i can only do one thing at a time. He don't have patients with them. I have never heard some many customers call him bad words. He don't even talk to staff about our scores and what we need to do to get our scores better. The other pharmacist mis read a script that one of the techs input into the computer (Tramadol / trazadone) . He tells the customer in front of everyone at checkout that the techs often get those 2 drugs mixed up. Yes we have to be careful and pay attention to what we are doing but it is still the pharmacist responsibly to make sure the scripts to go out the right way. I know i am not perfect nobody is but atleast i have respect for the people i work with and my customers. Cause that is how i would like to be treated.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is true for most of the CVS pharmacy especially the ones in Miami Florida
The techs are rude, the pharmacist and they hold on to the prescription with no consideration that's it's for a kid in pain, when I asked for the prescription back so that I can go to a different pharmacy - they told me I had to have the other pharmacy ca and request the transferred amazing! A written prescription cannot be returned meanwhile my daughter' is in pain. I had to go back to the doctor's office and get a new prescription - never will I step foot in cvs on SW 152 st and SW 137 Ave - zero customer care

Aron a Lady who is blonde would not stop using combat towards me leaving the store a Mexican worker also being disrespectful and ignorant thinking I was going to be bossed by him while he speaking Spanish because I want to stay on the right side of the aisle. The Cashier have Dreadlocks but he allowing Aron to come at me leaving the store and this Female not doing nothing controlling for me because I understand she heard me ask her a question and I am from all the Christian Schools around Nederland Texas.
Maybe they were throwing Combat Roach traps at him.
partially fulfilled order
Partial fulfillment of medication requested on 12/23/2013. After a 48 minute conversation with a CVS representative upon receipt of medications, together we compiled a letter to be sent to a CVS department handling subscriber concerns. After a week, I have yet to hear from and no additional medications were sent.
I am attaching a photo of the prescriptions that were requested. Note the renewal date and information. Three different employees admitted to using a previous prescription and not the one needed. Please advise me of the next steps I need to take as I have contacted my lawyer. All I am requesting is the medication for a 3 month supply at no extra cost to me. Thank you, Michal

pharmacy staff rudeness
Addressing CVS customer complaint:
I have been a long time customer with CVS, mostly in the New York City area where I reside and I also have a resident here in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. When I'm here in Sunny Isles Beach Florida I use CVS pharmarcy store # 3630 which has a delightful and courteous staff which is always pleasant to come to. One early evening heading south on Collins avenue since I was in the area, Surfside, CVS store # 4182, I had my prescriptions with me and I decided to go in and have them filled there. My experience with the employee staff at the pharmarcy was a total shock of how rude, nasty and unbelievable disrespectful toward me for what ever reason was incomprehensible. There were three women working. When I arrive there were no customers waiting for assistance. I stood at the drop off window, one mainly, female in particular named 'Zinga' would not pick her head for one moment to say, ' how can I help you? or I'll be with you shortly'. It was as if I didn't exist standing there for more than 5 minutes she would not, I can assure you, she would not acknowledge my presence until I spoke up. She behaved as a complete snob or put it this way ' I didn't come here to work today.' I had to acknowledge my presence and she nevered spoke a word to me still. I even asked her how long would prescription take. I presented my two prescriptions to her and she still responding with pure arrogance. One of prescription required an authorization from my doctor which I never had a problem with it at CVS store in Sunny Isles Beach #3630. So I told her give the prescription back to me and I'll take it to my neighborhood CVS pharmacy in Sunny Isles beach and she flong it on the table. The other two female behave with the same disposition. When Zinga looked up the prescription on the computer, that would be filled she said it would take 10-15 minutes. Finally she spoke. I told her I would step out and I'll be back. About a half hour or more went by and when I returned to the picked up area, the prescription was not completed. Such bad attitude no simple common courteous. So much arrogance throughout the pharmacy with these women is totally unacceptable. I had to wait another 20 minutes. There was a female customer and myself waiting for pickup. I'm originally from New York City. I can assure you, New Yorkers would never put up with this type of behavier. The verbal attack would become so extreme that the employee would walk off the job. Since this is the south everyone expects one another to behave in a respectful manner. I could not believe in particular, Zinga is working with customers in this manner. She needs to be remove and retrained as well as the others.
CVS pride their business with the best in customer service and satisfaction. They go out their way to advise and help customer needs when it comes to their pharmacy department. I did a research online regarding this store and why not, was I not surprise. The reviews gave much of the same customer's approach at the pharmacy as well. It has a very poor rating that I didn't expect that continues everyday. I 'm bringing this to your attention so you can take the appropiate solutuion in handling this on going behavior at CVS SurfsideFlorida store # 4182. No customer should be treated this way when entering a well known retail.
selling ususable product and not refunding my money
From the redlands mall cvs, i bought a bottle of red wine, a merlot. My first drink was really odd, then i tried it again and unfortunately there was no doubt that it was spoiled and rancid. I have had several bottles of this exact wine purchased from this store and i know it is an excellent wine. That certainly ruined an evening at home after work as i was expecting a good taste from that bottle of wine and ended up pouring at the foul tasting liquid.
I returned the bottle and receipt to the store today to get a refund. The store said it is their policy not to refund alcohol. That is understood, but they sold me an unusable product due to its spoilage. The store manager wanted to argue about whether or not the wine was really rotten or inferring that i just did not like it. There was enough liquid remaining in the bottle to detect the rotten smell or even taste it if necessary, but he did not bother smelling it.
I have been a customer of this store for many years, and they have that knowledge from their invasive tracking program. I find it despicable that an organization at the scale of cvs, $121 billion company, treats their customers so poorly. And it is even more aggravating to having spent my time returning defective merchandise and dealing with an incompetent manager who is so inept that he could not find a solution to help the customer. In essence, they stole my money since their manager did not refund my money!
I followed up with the manufacturer of the wine and cvs customer service.
1) cvs customer service – they were sorry that they stole my money, but it is their manager’s decision and they have decided to keep my money for an unusable product.
2) winery – great people, as my complaint is not with them, but the cvs managers’ ineptness and being a thief.
The winery was glad to either refund my money or replace the wine. I opted for more wine, as it is an excellent wine. The winery mentioned several handing methods of the wine that the cvs shelf stockers could not follow and the wine can spoil.
The winery knows the wine can spoil on the cvs shelf. The cvs manager is obviously inept as he does not know the difference between spoiled wine and a wine that one does not care for. And cvs continues to reinforce that they could care less about their customers.
over the years most of the grocery stores around here quit wanting the actual spoiled milk, cheese, meat etc. and only ask for the receipt. so i have gotten used to not having to return the product, unfortunately, i just bought a bad bottle of wine and felt that i got ripped off not getting to drink it or not geting my money back, . the time it takes to talk to the manager of the cvs and to contact the winery is way too much effort to get a free bottle of wine. there is such a thing as customer loyalty and having shopped at these stores for 15 years. i was not thinking to produce evidence for a court case as you all point out., i just will never forget opening a bottle of rancid wine and pouring it out because it ruined the moment and did not care for it stinking up my ktichen. thanks for your comments
yes, but most food stores around here do NOT want the spoiled food returned to their stores. most of the loyal customers don't make it a habit to try and get their money back fraudulently either.. it was such an unusual experience to buy a bottle of rotten wine, that I simply poured it out without thinking about their return policy oh well, what goes around comes around and am sure they will get their due reward. as noted, there was enough rotten smell in the bottle remaining to whiff and know. i just really was not interested in maintaining a full bottle of rotten wine in the kitchen after tasting it - it was rancid,
exactly their position - however, i had two sips, and spit both out
I do not agree with you. There are many positive reviews on yelp. I put one about a medical facility I used that misdiagnosed a life threatening condition 3 times! I wish I would have read other reviews before hand! I use yelp for vets, shops and other local stores. Why not have some idea of how other consumers feel about a place or a product before you spend your money on it? This is a complaint board! So why are you posting if you consider everyone to be whiners? Or is it anyone with a different opinion than yours? I have complimented and complained on yelp. I think complaining a doctor misdiagnosing and almost killing you, refusing to take the time to listen to your symptoms, is a legitimate complaint, or is that just whining?
CVS offers an awards card that basically keeps track of your purchases, the frequency of shopping, and offers coupons and discounts on certain items. It does not seem to me to difficult for the manager to check his account and inspect if the customer frequently shops at that CVS. I do think, ethically, and performing excellent customer service skills, the manager should have exchanged the bottle of wine for a new bottle. My family used to use CVS, but after my husband witnessed a pharmacy tech being insulting and rude to an elderly lady for not understanding their new computerized signature, he refused to obtain our scripts there. If other customers witnessed this exchange they might loose customers. Also, now he has written an online complaint, and might have on others, such as yelp. If I am going to use a new business I will look up the store and see the ratings of the place before I use it. I think this should push businesses to hire management that have strong customer service skills, and communication abilities. Which, I think in this tough economy, would be higher in demand. Instead, it seems as if it is a dying art. I have to be extremely ticked off to write a bad review for any business. But, I just choose not to return to a business if they are rude.
"The manger was being a jerk. He should have given the customer a new bottle of wine."
Yeah why not all of us go and buy some wine, and then claim it tasted awful, why don't we all then bring an empty bottle back to the store and when asked where it is say we want a refund because it was so awful that we had to dump it down the sink? That way we get as much free wine as we went. They have no right to question us and go out of business. If this man were telling the truth slynn1 he would have brought the rest of the wine back instead of "dumping it down the sink" Not it is his word against theirs.
I am pleased "Taylorn2" that you herd my words of wisdom! 😝
Okay 'slynn 1' if you say so.
The manger was being a jerk. He should have given the customer a new bottle of wine. It is just a case of I am the manager and can do what I want. I hate mangers that act that way, and unfortunately had to work under some of these types of [censored]s. CVS lost a loyal customer over a bottle of wine. How stupid is that manger. Now, there is a complaint on the store for other customers to see, so the store looses credibility and proves to have poor customer service. This was my penis is bigger than yours fights. In the end, the manager thinks he has the bigger manhood, but he discredits his store, looks like a petty jerk, and has nothing better to do than to take his petty need to feel superior out on customers. I guess if his great contribution to life is a manager at CVS, I can understand why he is so dissatisfied with his life he has to act like a nob.
WENT BY RITE AID TO SEE IF I WAS BEING OVRCHARGED FOR MEDICATION AND WAS TOLD WHAT I PAID FOR AT CVS FOR 34.64 I COULD HAVE GOT IT AT RITE AID FOR 15.00 WITH THEIR DISCOUNT CARD
Hahahaha! I agree with you "blame the parents here"
"That certainly ruined an evening at home after work as I was expecting a good taste from that bottle of wine and ended up pouring at the foul tasting liquid. "
Yeah nice excuse, if it were really that bad you would have returned it and shown them the proof.
"There was enough liquid remaining in the bottle to detect the rotten smell or even taste it if necessary, but he did not bother smelling it. "
He probably already smelled it on your breath.
I don't understand why you didn't return the bottle after the second taste? I wouldn't have refunded your money either.
steve the pharmacy dept.
On 11/12/13 I went to the drive through to pick up all of my prescriptions. This idiot named steve Imperati decided to play god in my life n stated he refuses to fill my perscriptions because it was to soon however he has prescriptios that were phone inby my doctor. He refuses to submit them untill next week. Not speaking to any of my doctors n not knowing my medical needs or just not wanting to do his job. I'm scheduled to leave out on a flight to California Friday morning. So the store msnager Joeanne insisisted that he putd them trough. This idiot still wont put it through. Finally after thiryy five minutes later she asked him the idoit steve to just see if it goes through the insurance company. It did n cvs has never not never submitted a new script. However the next morning I just called a pharmacy n thery were happy to phil my norcotic perscriotions n my controlled substance perscriotion. Steve stated it was the law he following. When I asked that he show this law he couldn't . The now lawer/pill counter needs to keep his personal feelings out of the work place.
Before calling anyone any names how about you learn to spell simple words. It is '"and" not n and put not putd.
Before calling anyone an "idiot" maybe you should learn how to use proper capitalization and learn how to spell the words "and" and "put"? How could you mess them up, they consist of three letters and you learn to spell these words in first grade?

Went in for a flu shot and was I in for a rude awakening. Before going to the pharmacy, I contacted my insurance co., UHC to make sure it would be covered at this location and they insured me it would be covered as long as they billed it under my medical. So I go to CVS no thinking it would be an ACT OF CONGRESS to try to get a flu shot, but sure enough, the techs entered my insurance information and I informed them that it had to be filed on medical, they tried and said they could not do it that way and tried to used my prescription card and of course it was denied on the prescription card. I called UHC while they were on the phone with whomever, and the rep. told me that it had to be filed on medical, once again, I tell the CVS reps. what she said and they said it would not go through. I had one of the CVS pharmacist to talk to the UHC rep., which it appeared she was not enthused to talk with her and try to assist me with this problem, she just said they could not do it and the system was not accepting my insurance. Therefore, I went to Walgreens, across the street from CVS and their staff was very helpful and figured it out and I was able to get my flu shot today after 2 hrs. of frustration. Thank you WALGREENS! CVS needs to train their staff!
I very seldom go to Walgreens, but I was forced to in order to get my shot. You think what you like!
That CVS staff did not know how to enter the information in order for me to get my flu shot, someone should know how to enter the correct information so consumers can get their flu shots. They did not go the extra mile to figure it out, at least Walgreens' staff did figure it out.
Totally disagree, my insurer covered the flu shot. The staff at CVS did not know how to enter the information in the computer. Got it done at Walgreens, took a little time, but with their patience and knowledge I was able to get my shot.
I think you work at Walgreens and are trying to make them look good.
manager hires four of supervisor's close friends
One of the supervisors of my store has been a major influence in the hire of FOUR new employees within the past year. Now you may think it's nothing big or just a coincidence, but every one of these new hires have been promoted within days or months just starting the job while people who have been there for years are still in the same position. The issue is that this supervisor had a past relationship with one of the employees, the other employee is the best friend of his ex-girllfriend, while the other two employees are his best friends. This is WAY past unethical and basically, it's a scheme. What can we do? Is it possible to get this supervisor out of the store? This is becoming ridiculous. Like next thing you know, the whole store is going to be filled with his family and friends.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Resolved?! In otherwords, the person and his family were promoted.
well, your first mistake is posting this on a public forum because if any of them see this, you can count on being fired soon.
If you have an issue with your job, you should deal with it internally and report it to upper management (District Manager )so it can be dealt with properly, not just complain on a website.
You are exactly the disgusting type of person CVS hired and let your family and friends get jobs there.
prescriptions not ready when they said
my son and daughter has prescriptions there they are never ready when they are suppose to be .the people are rude and not very helpful .my husband and i transferred out of there .I will be transferring my children in July when our insurance changes.you have to wait a long time for prescriptions that are suppose to be ready .they do this all the time .
PS. Is my prescription ready yet? ... How 'bout now?...?
C'mon jtimme3. They has prescriptions there. Theybot says they are. Supposed to be
Stop being rude. Wipe that donut sugar off your sweaty upper lip. Weren't you told NO FOOD ON THE PHARMACY COUNTER. The front end assistant to the assistant manager is WATCHING you on the office monitor. Be PROFESSIONAL!
As a pharmacist probably what happened is that the pharmacist on duty at that location was too busy changing his or her depends from not being allowed to take a bathroom break or died of low blood sugar from not being able to eat (no scheduled lunch breaks per company policy) and that contributed to your prescriptions not being ready on time. Working 12-14 hour shifts with no meal breaks or barely a bathroom break is difficult. So stop being such a typical entitled American and thank your pharmacist for surviving slave labor type conditions to get your non emergent life-or-death prescriptions that you had to have immediately or your life will end. You always generally have pharmacy options if it is THAT bad or you can call and complain on the receipt survey like everyone else does. Make sure to lie.
failure to pay employee
I worked approx 40 hours in August 2012 as an overnight supervisors and was not paid. I have been to the store and spoken to several managers and employees over the phone but they have given me the run around and have not resolved my complaint or mailed my check. I received a w2 form which verifies that I was employees but it does not reflect the correct amount for the number of hours worked.
I have switched from filling my prescriptions at a CVS pharmacy to filling my prescriptions at a Walgreen's pharmacy, because of convenience. When I last filled a prescription at CVS, I was told that I had to fill it 3 months at a time in order for my insurance to cover it. So I called my doctor and got a new prescription for 3 month increments. Then I switched to Walgreens. I was told that my insurance will only cover 1 month increments, so I called and got my doctor to send a new prescription for 1 month increments. Then I was told that I had to "opt-out" of CVS mail order pharmacy service. So I did. Just transferred a second prescription to Walgreens from CVS. Was told that I have to opt-out...again. So I called to opt-out and told them that I want to opt out for ALL future prescriptions, that I will never use the CVS mail order pharmacy (actually, at this point, I'll never use a CVS pharmacy). I was told that I couldn't opt out because Walgreens couldn't fill my prescriptions in 3 month increments. This is the definition of unfair and deceptive business practices. They lie to you, hoping you'll use their pharmacy service. The only reason Walgreens can't fill my prescriptions for 3 months at a time is because CVS Caremark won't allow them to. And then CVS Caremark tells me that I have to opt out every time I have a new prescription at Walgreen's because they can't fill them for 3 month periods.
