As a consumer and dedicated supporter and can no longer support Dan Murphy's anymore because this company has become political, ounce you do that you will lose customers.
You are Dan Murphy staff wearing YES t-shirts for the vile disgusting apartheid Marxist do is I've voice campaign. Because of this I will no longer be supporting Dan Murphy's anymore.
Desired outcome: STOP BEING BLOODY POLITICAL FFS
Issue with store manager's dress sense as well as issues in purchasing wines.
My wife and I went to the Dan Murphy's store in Woolloongabba, Queensland Australia today to purchase a substantial quantity of wine (14 x 12 bottle cases). I asked to speak with the manager to see if I could get any sort of further discount due to buy my wine in such bulk quantities. As such, there are two aspects of this complaint:
1. The manager was a biological male but was in not only my opinion, but my wife's opinion, dressed inappropriately in a way that one would not ordinarily expect from a person working in a retail outlet such as Dan Murphy's. There were other staff there dressed as one would expect in long pants and normal shirts, but this person was dressed in very short hot pants that both my wife and I felt was not something that either a biological male or female should be wearing within their work place - especially not that of a store manager. I am happy for a person to dress whatever way they want in private, but when it comes to dress in the workplace, this store's manager's attire was not something that one would consider 'appropriate' for either a male or female here in Australia.
2. My second issue is that I wanted to purchase 8 x 12 bottle cases of the 'Cleanskin WE3 Cabernet Merlot', 2 x 12 bottle cases of 'Cleanskin WE2 Chardonnay', and 2 x 12 bottle cases of 'Cleanskin Semillon Sauvignon Blanc'. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be even 1 standalone case of virtually all of these products within a 50km radius from where I live. The issue here is that although I understand you may not have stock available at certain times, but you do not provide your customers the ability to have stock orders set aside for them, and when you have everything we would like, you could then ship to us - or maybe even break the orders up in to two or 3 part shipments. I'm on the disability pension and as such, try to buy my wine in bulk so that I am not required to go out so much to get things. You advertise yourself as "SHOP YOUR WAY - Pick up and delivery options that suit you", but I can't even get one complete case of wine, and nor can I get any set aside for me.
Desired outcome: I would like to be able to purchase the products in the quantities that I'd like, AND for the purchase to be simple.
Customer service complaint - disgraceful accusation
To whom it may concern. I wish to make a formal complaint, after visiting your Springvale store this afternoon, Saturday 17.6.23. As I walked through the door I was greeted by a young staff member with hello, to which I replied back hello. He then proceeded to say something else which I couldn't understand and thought he was asking me if I was the previous owner to the store, to which I replied no. As I back tracked to him to try and understand what he was saying he said "are you the lady that stole from this store". I was gob smacked, and shocked and asked him to repeat what he said, I seriously thought he was joking. He repeated himself in a matter-of-fact tone if I was the lady who was caught stealing from the store, and that I could still come through and purchase something and just to be aware that the store had video. I could not believe what I was hearing! I said where's the video or photos so I can see, he could see I was absolutely furious at this point, and then asked him, did he have Manager on duty & demanded to speak with them. I spotted the Manager as she was about to walk past me, and told her what happened, she didnt say much except apologize, I requested to see proof, her reply was to apologize, that he misjudged me for some other woman that looked similar, as my hair was clipped up. I advised her, the staff need to be better trained & customer service skills upgraded when dealing with these types of matters and not just accuse innocent people that walk through the door as thieves. People sue businesses overs these types of accusations., and also informed her that I would be reporting this incidence. For many years we have always gone to Dan Murphy and purchased all our alcohol requirements. For this reason, I may have to consider purchasing elsewhere, moving forward. For the record, I have a very clean record as a Law-abiding citizen and have never been accused of stealing in my whole life. In summary, I found todays experience very insulting & very offensive not to mention. the public humiliation & embarrassment, I felt while surrounded by other customers in the store. Im absolutely furious about this incident that occurred today, as I have never in my entire life been pulled up and accused of stealing from anywhere. Food van onsite
On behalf of retailers in Sale, Victoria 3850, we would like to write to complain about a coffee van your Manager allows on the Dans site. It is hard enough to run a small business, pay your rates etc, then a big corporate such as yourself allows a van, who pays no fees to use your site and compete against us. The owner of the van is a personal friend of the Store Manager and we are lead to believe is receiving a kick back from the van owner. The Mayor of the Shire has suggested we contact you directly. We are outraged and appalled that Dans would allow this!
Desired outcome: We want the Van removed immediately. If it is not removed, we will be going to A Current Affair and every News Broadcaster to tell our story. I hope this is not the type of PR Dans want.

I was very upset to hear that my niece had left her longstanding employment with Dan Murphy's which she thoroughly enjoyed. It appears a new manager arrived and discredited the employees stating that they were 'useless' and 'did not work to 100% standard', which eventually employees resigned feeling disrespected. Racism in Australia is not tolerated, number one. Yet I must point out that this new manager has an Indian background and if you now attend this Dan Murphy's in Dandenong, you will find that all the employees are now Indian. And coincidentally, they are all related to this new manager. I am pushing for my niece to get in contact with all these previous employees and join in a class action against Dan Murphy's. My niece did complain about this but fell on deaf ears. This must be brought to the attention of the courts for Dan Murphy to explain why this situation has occurred and why it should never happen again. At this moment, I am not 100% sure whether it was the Dandenong store, but I know it is in that vicinity.

Delivery Drivers not delivering - lying about no one home because they are too lazy to get out of their car.
I am absolutely disgusted in Dan Murphy's delivery Service.
I work, that's how I afford to buy alcohol - so I am not home during work hours... I organised, with much difficulty, a day to work from home to accept delivery of my order. then in the afternoon I got a message to say they tried to deliver there was an issue... there was no issue, gate was unlocked I was home... what was the issue... 'lazy delivery driver is the issue'! I WAS AT HOME and I CAN SEE MY GATE FROM MY DESK (and hear it from the toilet) NO ONE OPENED MY GATE OR CAME TO MY DOOR ... the delivery was returned to depot as they said no one was home! WT absolute %$#! ... I cannot buy the goods in store - can only purchase at that price as delivery, they will only deliver it - why! If you can actually get a delivery driver to get out of the car and go see if anyone is home - like at the front door & knock! An unlocked gate should not be a roadblock for a lazy assed delivery person! I'd like to see them hauled over the coals for this, I am absolutely furious :(
I purchased over $230 worth of goods... over a week ago. first delivery I put that I wouldn't be home, please deliver to the post office - where I can verify my age (which is 56 BTW). but No.. you won't do that, but no one rang me or said anything just let the delivery go back to the store. to be delivered again today... well not really, as they made no attempt to deliver.
I have now purchased elsewhere for the same price as a matter of fact - I can only imagine it will take a week or more to get my refund! So I am very disappointed in Dans... very disappointed I'll never shop with you again, I'd rather pay a bit more for an actual product to be picked up or delivered.
I will be shouting it loud and clear to everyone, not to use this service from Dan's as it is crap!

Hello, My name is Ronald Goodwin and its now been upcoming to 4 weeks since i have been trying with utmost best with help of my best man to try and purchase a wine that you advertise yet when myself and him have gone to 3 different places in Ipswich including your store Jets football club and then travelled as far as the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to 2 of your stores plus outlet for this wine to come up empty.
The wine is named T,Gallant Pink Moscato.
Today the 12th of March we went to another 3 outlets to be told not made or distributed. I went online an hour ago 12.30pm Queensland time to find advertised at your Bowman 'Street Caloundra store drove 25klms as cannot ring and guess what sorry no stock cannot get. Yet there it was sitting on your web page, noticeably in Perth WOW i have to catch a red eye plane to purchase.
This was to be a surprise for her to celebrate our 30th anniversary and for our wedding vows. My complaint is don't advertise what you can't sell and please help your young staff.
I am not going to thank you for service, or anything just let guests at our wedding 130 to cut up their Dan Murphy's cards.

Desired outcome: Response would be if you did get the product advertised Live up to the Dan Murphy's reputation you began with, and we believed in. We shopped nowhere else for our company functions and family reunions. Now we will be going to BWS.
Delivery hours late
Placed an over $300 order for delivery 2-4 pm time slot.
At 3:50 received a message that they were running late and my order would be there by 4:50. NOPE
Instead I got a text offering for me to change my delivery DAY or pick up from store OR cancel the order.
Contacted support AGAIN who told me I would have my order by 5:30 pm. (We ordered for 2-4 time slot so we could ensure that the beverages were cold and decant the wine. We had guests coming between 5:45 and 6 pm.)
5:30 came... No delivery no text.
When I did
I contacted online support again I was told it was already picked up and would be there shortly as and told me to check my tracker. If finally gave a time, instead of the answer I had been seeing for hours that they were running late.
The app said I would have my order between 5:50 and 6:15.
It finally arrived.
Extreme disappointment. I am unsure how a 2 hour time frame turns into over 4 hours and the first communication that my order would not be delivered in the time selected was 10 minutes before that time was up and inaccurate information after that with inaccurate times given again.
We have used home delivery service from other companies and never an issue.
We were refunded our delivery charge.
Very unhappy with the whole experience.

In September 2022, I ordered 6 bottles of Vanilla vodka which I received in good order. I finished one bottle last month and yesterday I went to open another bottle and noticed discolouration of the product, the vodka is always clear. I also found the other 4 bottles to be discoloured. I opened the bottle and poured a few drinks only to find that the product was sour in taste. My friends and I were all unable to drink it. I regularly buy this product and have never had this issue before.

Waited last Saturday (yes my precious weekend) all afternoon as you messaged saying my order was coming. It never arrived. Couldn't get information on a new delivery date until yesterday when you said you would deliver today. Delivery person would not allow my daughter (an 18+ yo resident of the address with ID) to accept the delivery. This was not communicated to me at all that it had to me and me only. Am I expected to take time off work with my fingers crossed that your shambles of a delivery system will come through?
I'm going on holidays tomorrow - without my order - so now can't re-schedule a delivery date as I'm away during the options given.
Can you please cancel my order and arrange for a refund asap? Surely this is something within the company's realm of competence?
First time user of Dan's online. Never had an issue with other delivery liquor services.

I ordered a Christmas Present for somebody very special to me and gave plenty of time before Christmas. The delivery company gave me a 4 hour window on Wednesday the 21st which I rearranged my day for and was relieved it would arrive in plenty of time for Christmas. However the driver didn’t bother to turn up at all! And lost wages because I made sure I was home. I waited in the front porch and nobody bothered to show up. After an hour on the ridiculous chat system you have I learn that nobody actually cares at all and it would take 2 days to rearrange delivery which I would not be able to be there for! Why use these couriers? Why?! Use Australia post! I’m sick of dealing with these pathetic courier companies. I ordered a LOT of things online this year and every single item that was sent through australia post arrived and every single item that was sent through a courier had to be chased for days and in one case over a month. I’m fed up. I cancelled my order and I’ll never use Dan Murphy’s again. Which is a real shame because Dan Murphy’s used to be my first point of call and I’ve spent a LOT in that store. Never again. I’ll be switching to first choice. Thanks for ruining my Christmas. I was very excited to give that present and now it’s not happening.

I looked up the price of Gentlemen Lack Whiskey the price listed is $56.99 nowhere in the add does it state members only price …..I purchased a bottle from the Gawler Dan Murphy and was charged $67.00 When I returned to enquire why I was charged this I was told I was not a member yet nowhere in your add does it state you have to be a member to receive this price the staff tried to explain this price is a Sydney price again I point out where does it say this in the add no help and not a happy customer……..
