An Overall Great Time
To Whom it May Concern,
This past weekend, I took my first visit to Dave and Buster's. Although I had heard of your restaurant and many of my friends have been there before, I was not too sure what to expect. I can truly say it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a smile by the hostess and was escorted to a table. We then ordered several different appetizers such as chicken tenders, fries, pizza, and macaroni and cheese. The waitress brought them out quickly and they all tasted hot and delicious. I then went to the crowded bar and ordered a few drinks. Even though the bar was quite busy, the bartender moved along efficiently and did a great job handling the crowd. He was calm and friendly and the drinks he prepared were cold, smooth, and tasted great!
We then moved over to the arcade games and I immediately felt my inner child come alive. Any game I could have possibly thought of was there. From skee-ball, to racing games, to basketball, all the games were truly a blast. There was barely any wait at all to play the games which made things even better! I can honestly say the only bad part of my night was having to go home. It was an overall terrific night out. The service was outstanding. From the hostess, to the waitress, to the bartender, and the games the service was outstanding.

On Oct 22,2022 me and my 5 Year Old son was 42ND ST Times Square Location. We walked in there at 7:30PM was inside for 10 minutes or less we didn't get to eat or play. After we sat down n I ordered in plain view of cameras at the small side of the BAR WAS grabbed approached by security and others and told I would have to leave or there will be problems we was discriminated violated threatened n intimidated we was puzzled n confused my son was also dramatized scared confused and crying when I asked the reason and why the security guard told me that management said I said something lewd to one of there employees when I just walked in had no interaction with anyone but the barmaid I asked food for just walking in and she took my order and gave me the receipt so I said you must be confusing me for someone else the manager right there didn't say a word I left because of my son and wasn't trying to escalate things or cause a confrontation because of my son being dramatized scared and crying I called the following day and was told it would be handle and investigated wrote a review on BBB about the incident me and my son experienced and endured only to hear from costumer relations 6 months after stating they stand by there establishments decision and that I was the aggressive one when I left without argument or a fight but only disrespected both me and my child if I was the aggressive one so then why wasn't the police called I would have rather that they was because they would have seen that they was lying and covering up for there buisness and a wrongful lying accuser employee from there tram this is how professional they are. That they allow there locations and there discriminatory and racist team to handle there own investigations without costumer relations conducting there own and basing there opinion on what ever there establishments claim whether it be wrong and even a lie all they care about is there buisness and not the costumers use there employees in the process
Overcharged $228! And kitchen has mice?
Waitress swiped our card for the table next to us and our table both! Charged us an extra $228 without us knowing until we got our credit card statement. Also the food was horrible.
Called guest relations also who told me they would not do anything to help us. Even though they comment on every bad review pretending to help?
Each time we called to resolve this issue the staff was extremely rude and dismissive, especially the kitchen manager Juan who was being rude before I even said a word to him. They all kept saying they couldn't handle the issue and the managers were too busy and didn't want to talk to us no matter what time of day we called.
Finally got to talk to a manager Stephanie who admitted it was their fault and that we would see a refund within 10 days. 20 days later, no refund?
Tried calling Dave and Busters corporate office who sent us an email saying that they wouldn't do anything to handle this issue for us. They wouldn't even reach out to the store to try and help resolve the issue. They just told us to call the store again and deal with it ourselves. What a joke Dave and Busters corporate office is.
After dealing with rude staff again we finally go to talk with another manager named Shannon, who said she would let the general manager Stephanie know and look into it and call us back. She clearly lied to us because we never heard back and were eventually told by Stephanie that no manager there had even heard of this issue yet?
Another week later we had to call back 3 more times and deal with staff being rude to us yet again. Especially the rude kitchen manager Juan. At which point Stephanie made up some BS excuse about why the refund was never processed.
Finally after that uphill battle which took a month of frustration from the time we first called, we got our refund. This place and their employees are a sad example of a business. Especially because all of the food ordered by our party was horrible.
After this experience and seeing the other reviews posted on google showing mice all around the kitchen we will definitely not be back. What an awful and disgusting place to bring your family.
Complaint
I booked my son a birthday party on Nov 12 (I believe it was 2:30 to 3pm) on Oct 6th. After I booked, I called for few inquiries before paying deposit. During the call, I told told I can book at 4pm as well. Everything went well, I booked and paid the deposit.
On Oct 24, I told they "make a mistake" and the management REMOVED my booking for 4pm. I was told come at 1:30pm (without another option for that day).
Both of my kids has private classes until 2pm (with a cost of $150 I cancel right now!) Who is going to compensate my lost if I need to cancel the classes? Also, my friend and family already moved their schedule to accommodate our party.
This is very upsetting... My son cried! I told him try to pick a date to celebrate your birthday that is NOT your birthday day.
Now, give me 3 weeks of time try to find another place where I can book something similar time is not possible!
Desired outcome: Option1: change to 1:30-discount price offset I need to cancel my kids class. PLUS allow me have less than 10 kids in the party. option 2: allow us to come at 4pm. I am getting the message as per the agreement I signed.

I am emailing regarding a situation that happened at Dave and Buster’s on International Drive in Orlando, FL on June 29th, 2023.
My boyfriend and I were there for an evening of games, drinks, and food. We initially ordered two drinks around 9pm when we sat the “deals” menu on a few tables and decided to wait until after 10pm to take advantage of the $5 foods. Around 10:30pm we came back to the bar area and sat at a table. Maddy came over and took our drink order. We already knew what we wanted to eat so we POINTED to the square “pop-up” menu on the table that contained the happy hour and late night deals (we did not even have a ‘real’ menu near us). We ordered the Cantina Nachos and Garlic Parmesan Truffle Fries - both on the $5 after 10pm deals sign we were pointing at. When the food came my boyfriend and I commented on how much larger the nachos were than the fries and how we should have just ordered two of those! When we were done, and Maddy brought our bill to us, I was shocked to see that the nachos were rung up at $14.50! I questioned this with Maddy who said “Oh, you didn’t order the late night nachos! You just said Cantina Nachos, not ‘Late Night Cantina Nachos’… I brought you the shareable nachos since you didn’t say Late Night..” Confused, I sat there reading the sign we pointed at while my boyfriend paid. It didn’t say “Late Night Cantina Nachos”, it clearly said “Cantina Nachos” which is how I ordered and what I pointed at. I then grabbed the other ‘normal’ menu which said “GRANDE Cantina Nachos $14.50”, not what we ordered! I never said grande, and I also did not even have that menu in my hand. Now, we spent over $250 at Dave and Buster’s, so a $10 difference seems minute, but it is about the principle of it. The server was wrong. We not only pointed, but ordered exactly what the menu said for the $5 nachos. We also ordered the $5 fries, so how was that correct but the nachos weren’t? It almost seemed intentional, and when we paid, this also increased the amount recommended for her tip! The more we thought about it, the more upset we got because she didn’t even try to fix it for us, she basically just told us that we ordered incorrectly - when in fact she was completely wrong! This put a damper on the rest of our night as we felt taken advantage of. We contemplated speaking to a manager before we left but after a long night, we were just exhausted and upset so I figured I would email in the morning. I hope you can shine some light on this and maybe offer some kind of correction. I have attached a copy of our receipt.

My party of 5 visited Dave and Busters in New Orleans on Wed, March 8th after a Pelican basketball game at approximately 9:30 pm. I ordered a 9 Oz glass of Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio. When I got my bill, I was charged $29 for the glass of wine. I brought it to the waitress attention and she insisted the charge was correct. Not wanting to argue or make a scene, I reluctantly paid the ticket and left. I have a friend who is a Manager with Dave and Busters in Hawaii and sent her a copy of my receipt to see if the charge was legit. She informed me that I was charged for a bottle of wine, (the B on the ticket stands for bottle) and that whoever rang it up entered it incorrectly . I feel the waitress lied to me about the charge because she didn’t want to take the time to make the correction or she didn’t know how. In additional to the wine incident, two in our party never received their food. Three of us ordered appetizers and the other two ordered a side of Parmesan mashed potato’s and a sandwich. We were almost done with our appetizers when the waitress came back to our table and asked the other two what they ordered. Frustrated and hungry, the two cancelled their food order (knowing it would be at least another 30 minutes before they would receive their food) and ate what was left of our appetizers. This was a terrible dining experience for all of us anf I’m not sure if Iwe’ll ever return to another Dave and Busters.

Glaring scam re machines taking more chips than players aware of
I’m only aware of this happening on Zombie, which I started playing on February 22nd, a Wednesday. instead of having a PowerCard I played each game using my phone. I can see my chip balance (which is not updated immediately) but cannot see list of games played. I remember scanning my phone several times and seeing a “ready to play” signal on the reader though the arm of Zombie machine would not swing. This leads me to scanning my phone incessantly until it does swing. On some go I would need to scan 2-3 times, but on one occasion I remember scanning about 8 times. I thought my phone was the issue which was why I kept scanning. I was surprised to run through 700 chips so quickly by the end of the night. Fast forward a week later I realize Zombie was deducting chips from my account even when the arms didn’t swing. I eventually went to the manager and looked through the list of all my games played with the manager, and gave him proof of my chips being deducted twice as much, he returned 75 chips to my account.
What’s troubling is that the week before, on 2/22/23 my nephew and I spent ~$200 on a Wednesday as we were not aware of the glitch. I’m really frustrated and feel like Dave and Buster completely programmed some games like this purposely. Otherwise, why wouldn’t they let users track how many games they’ve played on their own?

False advertisement
on Monday February 20th during vacation week for my kids i went to Dave and Busters in Westbury NY. there was an advertisement Download "NOW" for $15 free Game play. i decided to download as requested, when i didn't see anything in the app i asked the worker about it. he stated that he was not in during the meeting about that but will get the manager. when the manager arrived he stated i need to wait 24 hours from registration. i informed him that according to the advertisement it doesn't say that. it says to download now. manager was not professional at all and said there is nothing he can do. i proceeded to order my food and brought a play card. in the website they had a special for that week that the students were off from school that for every purchase you get two play per dollar you spend. when i asked the manager about that he was not informed about it either and continued to not be such a customer service friendly manager. Please note that if any of my managers put my customers thru that it will not be acceptable. please make sure all your managers are educated on advertising. Also the app wasn't working to see if my receipt was in the system and to see if i got the chips they gave me as per the other advertisement.
Desired outcome: well my desired outcome would have been that the managers either go and ask another manager about the advertisement in store and online and offer the customer something.

THIEVES, LIARS AND BAD BAD SERVICE! On our last night in LA we decided to go out for one last night of fun, our group of ten headed to this awful place. Our server was one nasty rude one, after waiting for over an hour for our food, I asked the server how much longer as we had a 3,4,5 and a 10-year-old with us and they were starving. Our server decides to lose it on us, so we asked for the manager, well the apple doesn't fall fat from the tree no wonder servers can treat customers like crap because the manager defended her and was even more rude, after more than 30 minutes more our food came out ALL of it was very cold, I am more than sure they deliberately left it. Again, the server and manager were very rude. BUT this is not the end of the story... The small children were playing on some of the games and my daughter had left her phone on the table beside her plate, she turned around for a few seconds while the Server "thief" was cleaning the table, yup you guessed it swiped her cell phone! We asked nicely if she took it by accident and she got mad, shocker. Manager again stuck up for her, so we went back to our hotel room and used her apple watch and used the find my phone app, shocker it's at Dave and Busters! We first called and asked if a cell phone was found, immediately no questions asked but the answer was NO, we called back and spoke with the manager and server still the answer is no! We took pictures of the apple watch to prove it was still at the restaurant. You cannot afford to go here; you will pay dearly! Shame on this establishment and managers.
