As a teacher, I purchased $70 worth of Kinder Surprise eggs for an Easter party for students in my high school. When the Kinder recall happened, it obviously was not appropriate to give them out, so went back to see if I could do an exchange. I bought a "Betty Crocker" can opener at Dollarama on Parliament St, Toronto. It is impossible to open it without ruining the package, and they have a no return no refund policy with a "however..." clause that says they might refund if the product is "in their original packaging", so it is a return possibility constructed to fail. Instead of getting 9.40, I got 8.40 ---- Just one dollar less

IMPORTANT: This is the 4th time that the same teller is doing the same thing for 4th time --- Does is why I decided to complain today - is a young lady in blue jeans and a shirt with vertical stripes of light blue and white --- Is not much money BUT MAKE CUSTOMER FEEL VERY VERY BAD - DOLLORAMA IS GOOD STORE WITH GOOD PRICES - BUT WITH TELLERS STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMER THE REPUTATION FOR SURE IS GOING DOWN DOWN DOWN --- STORE AT 6520 FALCONRIDGE BLVD. Dollarama Bought a product by mistake valued at 5 $. Went back next day less than 24 hours to return it or exchange it.

All three managers were adamant at refusing to refund or exchange it saying they wrote their policy on the receipt and we are forced to abide by it. this is the end of civilization what they did. It is third world level of tyranny against regular customers. I will keep sending bad reviews all over the internet about this company.

Dollarama Videocassettes & service @ place portobello

Not resolve b/c obsolete b anger off chest. B/c can voice irritation, will discard unpleasant remind. Bought videos f child TV watch later. Ok defectv 2, but 4! Hesitant buy more: Were shelf rest defectv. Manager insultd me. He said not theirs. I offend'd. Not askg money. Attn quality. Boil'g mad, found dif co. & boycottd. Bad manager prob promotd!

Desired outcome: Apology in order. Clients should exercise caution w DVDs/CDs as policy wrt quality may not have chang'd. DVDs & CDs more often defective than videotapes.

I have purchased one passion flake and they have charged me for 2 items. I have bill for that. that cost me $3.39 more.

Dollarama Employee

Today, Thursday February 24 22,

At 11: 05 I went into the dollarama at birchmount and danforth rd, Scarborough, I walked to the isle I needed where there was an employee stocking a shelf, I passed her to the end of the isle where I stopped picked up a pair of gloves, turned walked a few feet picked up tooth paste, in the same isle, walked to the cash, where I was met by 3 employees, I put my stuff on the counter, put the bag and a box that I had brought with me when I had entered the store on the floor, the one employee scanned my stuff while the other 2 employees were talking to each other in their own language, when 1 employee said I have to pay for the stuff in the bag, i said no i brought this in with me she said no you stole it, i was shocked i said no i didnt, it's a gift for my son from my friend, she said no you took it so pay for it, where we got into a verbal argument, there were other people in the store now all looking to see what was going on, i said i have only been in the store for maybe 3 mins, i just saw you in the isle, she said no, pay for the stuff, I was visibly upset, one employee said if you didnt take it why are you shaking just get out of the store dont come back, I asked to see the video, she said no, I said call the police she said for me to call, just get out, I have never been so embarrassed in my life, I was on my way to seeing son in the icu of st Mike's hospital, with a gift from my nabour, I left the store with the 3 women employees talking in their language, very un professional, disrespectful, I have heard this has happened to other customers, I expect at the very least an apology.

Dollarama alcan aluminum foil

Feb. 3/22 7:30pm Cross Ave. Oakville, Ontario

I noticed the stock lady removing the alcan aluminum foil from the shelf by letting them fall to the floor. She added the new stock and then picked up the old stock off the dirty floor and placed it on the shelf in front of the new stock.

Dollarama Service I am complaining about

This Monday evening in Royal Oak location in Calgary, I asked if I can use my gift card. And then that lady just said: "Move" very louldly,because I'm standing next to the self-service machine and using the service machine, because no cashier. Dollarama Disrespectful employee

I'm so sorry for the bother but I would like to file a report against a specific dollarama employee. She works at the dollarama location in Sunridge Mall, Calgary, Alberta. She disrespected my friend by embarrassing him in front of customers. My friend didn't know that he had a limit to his card for the reason that he's only a student. My friend has a limit of 100 dollars transaction per day. He spend around 80 bucks for ear piercing and was planning to buy Christmas decorations in your store with a value of 35 bucks. So this Indian Lady, who was around 30-40 started yelling at my friend because his card was declined. My friend explained the reason why and told the lady to void some products so his payment will go through but this lady started yelling that my friend has no money and if he should not be buying anything at all. My friend was trying to be calm but was offended with how this lady acted. My friend's mom was on a call with him and heard everything so she made his dad come in and ask for the manager. I am a solid customer of dollarama and this honestly disappointed me. I hope that this will not happen again. I am offended as well with how the lady reacted because she did not apologize. I hope workers with this type of attitude will not be tolerated. She even threw the plastic on him, so he had to pack his order and put it in the bag, which was her job. I work in customer service and this is not how we are supposed to act.

Dollarama Manager

December 7, 2021. Dollarama Pen Center, St. Catharines.

I was checking walking through store and a very rude attendant came on speaker demanding a box of register tape. I was a little alarmed but continued on.

I went to cash out and what I now know as the manager was being exceptionally rude to an elderly customer. She was obviously having issues with the machine and her son was trying to assist her. They both asked for help. I don't know what the conversation was but the elderly woman was in distress and the manager was extremely obnoxious. The woman and son finished and I went to cash out. The young associate was assisting other customers and the manager very loudly scolding him for trying to help by saying that it's not his job to assist that why it's called self check out.

I finished and the elderly woman and son were trying to talk to the manager near the exit and she was continuing to be rude. I stopped and expressed that she didn't have to be so rude. She looked at me and said " oh you want me to get rude". I continued to exit where I heard her say I don't own the place. I walked back and asked her name where she gave me some excuses and told me to have a "[censored]ing nice day". There were about 15 people in line who heard her and she laughed and walked away from me and the elderly woman and son.

I asked the woman if she was ok. She said she was but she was very upset. She had only asked the young man a question and the manager jump in and went off.

This "manager" is a poor example for Dollarama. Many seniors shop there as they are on fixed income and have very few options for quality items.

I would be embarrassed to know that my employee was representing my store in this manner. Yelling over the intercom, berating employees trying to provide customer service and then swearing at customers who are paying their wages. She needs to be removed from her position.

Went inside today 11/11/21 at 11 am was the most terrible service I have experienced with the girl in the front I was the only customer waiting for her to serve me will she's doing something else then throw the change at me because I told her I had to wait and she's slow . Dollarama Nasty almost racist service.

Today around 10:00 am I received a disgusting and discriminatory treatment in this store.
The manager, a blonde woman, looked me up and down when I just entered the store. He followed me for several minutes and then sent another employee to keep doing the same.
my bag was full because I had bought other things in other places in the shopping center (Place Côte-des-Neiges) Montreal Canada.
When I finished my purchases in this store this woman in a rude and despicable way demanded me to open my bag in front of the public as if I were a thief.
I told him that I had not taken from the store that my bag was full from my previous purchases.
In the end, to avoid more problems, I agreed to open my bag.
I have never felt so humiliated and violated.
After almost 6 years of shopping in this store, I receive such a degrading, almost racist treatment from this lady.
I will never go back to this store because a bad time can put you through.

Dollarama Can opener

I bought 2 of them in the 8 months, They cost $4.00 plus tax, The first one work for about 6 months, Then quit working, You could turn the handle, It would go around the lid of the can, But not open it, The second one i bought, Only work 4 times, And the same thing as the first one i bought, It would not work any more, I would advise no one to buy this can opener,
