Engine
If I could, I would give Engine World 0 Stars. If you are a gambling person and are feeling lucky, you may consider buying a used engine from these guys, but unless you want to join the ranks of those scammed, stay away from them and take your business somewhere else. They sold me a bucket of bolts passing for "a used engine in good working condition", and...

Somewhere someone has definitely dropped the ball on refunding the money I spent on the purchase and subsequent return of your engine. I have patiently waited for you to correct this matter. My original request was for a replacement engine, and you stated that you didn't have another one. I proceeded to request for and was told that a refund would be issued.
My purchase was financed partially by Pay tomorrow ($3,109.55) and the remainder was paid out of pocket ($3425.00). There was also a submission requesting a refund of the initial installation which is all part of the warranty guidelines. This back and forth has been going on since May of this year. It is now going on 4 months and this matter has yet to be resolved. I am still without a running vehicle, and I am losing money as this is my only source for hauling for work purposes.
I am expecting your company to make good on this request immediately.

Core Charge on a 2015 Dodge 3500/Used Engine - Chassis Cab 6.4L VIN J
I have been calling this place since March 2023 to try and get them to pick up the old engine we took out and return to get my core charge back for $500.00, they just keep telling I need to talk to a Dale Jones which they transfer me to his voice mail everytime and he will not answer the phone or return phone calls and I even e-mailed him and received nothing back. The girls that answer the phone in shipping it the only ones that will answer the phone and tell me I should be receiving a e-mail concerning the pick up and I never do. I just got off the phone again today June 7,2023 and left another voice mail and nothing. This is the biggest scam and they need shut down. I did document these phone calls on 04/04/23,04/11/2023; 04/18/2020;05/02/2023; 06/7/2023 and there was more than that and I did not write the dates down. The e-mail I sent was on 04/11/2023 and he still has not returned my e-mail. I just want them to give me back my $500.00 and pick up this engine. This place is a joke when you call them. The engine I received had several problems but I paid someone to repair them too.
Desired outcome: $500.00 core deposit returned, and old engine picked up

warranty
purchased a 5.3 ls motor from E/T/W motor arrived showing much more wear than the 60k miles it supposedly had, barely strapped onto pallet, entire motor was torn down and inspected, after paying $3000 and change for core and motor i had to pay an additional $1255 to replace oil pan ( pushed in) as well as lifters and mounting bracket ( cracked) motor was installed and had 10psi oil pressure, pulled transmission and installed Melling high pressure oil pump , that was and additional $1000.00 sent all paperwork for warranty.. never heard a thing. This company is a fraud and should be shut down, substandard ,worn out motors sold at premium prices and no warranty.
Desired outcome: receive my reimbursment for warranty repair
Warranty
Rev Auto Repair has ordered 2 engines from Engine and Transmission World. When they were received by the shop both engines were bad. We rebuilt one to make it work and the other is knocking. Its been 2 month and still I can not get this resolved. Ive sent ever picture they asked for to include a video, Engine has been taken out waiting for shipping only to be sent a email (second one ever gotten from the company) stating that they are charging us for shipping the core back and instead we can keep the core. Then when I try to contact the company I only get sent to another dept and NO results of making this right for my customer whom as I stated has been without her vehicle for 2 months now! By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered not to mention I can never speak to management or get any calls or emails back from the company.
Desired outcome: Full refund
2006 jeep v6 engine
I ordered a 2006 jeep engine for $2030 in early march. Took several weeks to find one and told me it has approximately 74,000 miles. Arrived april 25 in sad condition with lots of caked old oil outside, scrapes, rusted bolts and screws all over, dented oil pan, bad injectors, etc. This is not a 74k miles unit. It shipped from michigan, therefore road rust included. After some new parts were replaced, it's now installed and operating ok. So on april 26, I requested the 5 year warranty as specified in their documents. To this date 6/10/23 and a dozen emails and phone calls, they will not issue a warranty. Claiming that they didn't receive the online request (which was confirmed online), following emails, phone calls, etc. Now I have found the court case from their state with hundreds of complaints. But they are still in business with all the lies on their website!
Desired outcome: AT LEAST THE ADVERTIZED 5 YEAR WARRANTY AND A REFUND OF THE $350 CORE FEE PAID.
Engine/no delivery
WE ordered an engine for our dodge dakota April 4, 2023. after 2 weeks i started calling only to get the run around about why i did not have my engine. finally may 2, I canceled my order because the could not give me an answer on where my engine was. We called every week at least twice a week trying to get an answer but were hung up on when we would not accept there BS answers. Twice they transferred us to the manager only to be told the voicemail was full.
Desired outcome: We want our money back because we believe the our just scamming people for restocking fees and never intending to send the products
Engine and warranty
We purchased an engine from Engine and Transmission World on 5/24/22. We paid for the engine and the labor to have it installed. On or around 11/26/22 the engine completely failed leaving our daughters stranded. We had it towed to our service place. After they ran a diagnostic they found a 4 inch hole in the block. We called Engine and Transmission world and finally after months and months, they sent a replacement engine. In their warranty, they cover parts and labor for 5 years and it states they will pay 100% labor if they have to replace the entire engine (which they did). We had to front the money for the labor because once again it was taking forever to get any type of communication from them and we needed to get this car back to our daughters who are in college.
We still have not been reimbursed for the full amount of the labor charges even though they clearly state they cover 100% if they have to replace the whole engine. On 4/25/23, they sent us $600.00 and stated they have paid the labor claim. That payment was only 25% payment on 12 hours of labor. The total labor charge was $4,444.71. We want our money from the labor charge that we paid to have the 2nd engine installed after the first engine they sent lasted barely 6 months. They don't return calls, leave you on hold for hours, and lie about things that they say they have done and haven't.
Desired outcome: Full reimbursement of their warranty on an engine replacement.Steve FlemingKeller, TX 76248
Engine
I bought an engine in October 1,2021.It almost took the whole month before I recieved the engine I think it was like the 25 or 26 of Oct After I did the paperwork for the warranty,I mean sent in pictures, number off the engine, the odometer reading ect.,everything they asked for(mind you the warranty is for 5year or 50,00 miles )Got it into the car and it drove for maybe a few months( it’s now the beginning months of the new year)then one day my check engine light pops on,so I take it to be put it on one of the machines that read what’s happening and had to pay a hundred and some change, just for it say internal engine failure,so I contact the warranty department because I’m like I did everything I was suppose to and to no surprise it didn’t, i had to send in more pics, more proof of this and that and still didn’t get a replacement engine, got told the same thing over and over, like their agents are like robots they just recite what they were taught to say no care at all and there are no supervisors that will talk to you to try and help resolve the issue ,I contacted them so much I gave up for a while and 3/23/2023 I reached out yet again because the car is just sitting and I was like I did all that and nothing so I speak with an agent that tells me that the warranty supervisor or person that was in charge is no longer working there and they can start over with me and to fill out the paper that they would email me which I did but this time I checked refund because I don’t want anymore dealings with these ppl.I haven’t spoken with or heard from them in a week and on 3/31/23 at 10:55 pm saying my part(engine) will be there on 4/3/23. I so confused because that this point and time I want no parts from them at all because they gave me the run around for months on end and now that I want a refund you want to send an engine.on Mon April 3/23 I received a call from rcl carriers saying that my delivery is ready and wanted me to confirm the location for it to be received, I hadn’t spoken with no one about any of this I called them right after and the warranty sept said they didn’t know nothing about me recieving an engine because their emails doesn’t say they made a decision yet, so I hang up and call the parts department and they have that I’m suppose to receive the engine but don’t know how if I asked for a refund. So now I’m like what is going on at that place mind you the first engine I received in 2021 came from where engine world is located plus took almost the whole month to get to me and it turned out to be trash so how on earth was this engine tested and all that other crap that they spit have happened if it’s coming to me in less than 3 from Alabama to Louisiana. It is now April 24 a month in now and the same crap is going on I’ve contacted them every week and sometimes twice a week and they tell me the same that they are making a decision on what to do , it’s ridiculous there workers are like robots just reciting what the were taught and learned to get the custom off the phone because every time I call they same the same thing or they tell me something different and I have to repeat myself over and over
Desired outcome: My money back
Getting shipping information
I ordered a replacement engine one 1/18.
I have repeatedly tried to get shipping information for this order. In short I have called back on 1/24, 2/1, 2/2, 2/3, 2/8, 2/9, 2/10, 2/13, 2/14, 2/16, to get an update. I get the same response, “we will reach out to the shipper and have someone contact you “. NO one has contacted me! This included 3 calls to the manager, who does not answer the phone, so I leave a voicemail and still no response. No one can tell me where this order is or anything about it.
Desired outcome: They have had my money for a month and they can’t tell me the status of my order. It’s costing me money for this so I would expect some compensation for that. Or I can stop payment.
Sent engine they said had 13 thousand miles turned out over 100 thousand and junk
Invoice # 402498 purchase engine for 2018 f-150 that was said to have 13 thousand miles. Engine was checked out by certified mechanic said to be worn out and junk they advised me not to install Sent engine back, was told by Bab engine and transmission that they didn't receive it.11/21/22 told turned over to credits will have email in the morning - no email
showed them signed freight receipt
then was told refund approved on 12/12/22 no email again
no refund
was told refund approved at 8:28 am on 12/13/22
would not send refund verification no email again.
received refund for $2000.00 less than what was paid on 12/15/22
no one will take or return calls have left 15 or more messages.
Desired outcome: please refund the remaining portionNormally i would understand a small restock fee not $2000.00 and not in this case where the engine was junk
Engine
Please DO NOT BUY FROM ENGINE & TRANSMISSION WORLD. Quick to process my payment for 2007 Galant engine on 09/12/2022. Tried to cancel my order because they promised 7-10 days business days shipping. After 2 1/2 months, finally sent me a junk, nasty never tested engine with broken timing belt. called, sent pictures, no refund, warranty, no replacement, no customer service. Fraud.
5.7 hemi engine
I ordered a 5.7L hemi engine from engine and transmission world back in April 2022. They shipped the engine to me and upon receiving it I pulled the valve covers off to check the internals and the oil pan off to do the same, I found water and dirt inside the engine. I contacted Engine And Transmission World on this matter and they had me send images and a written statement from myself on the problem, it then took them 4 months to finally come and pick the engine up. We now have been waiting over a month now with no response. I've called the cooperate number several times and left detailed messages that we want a full refund at this point. This problem has been going on for 4 months and hasn't been fully resolved. This company is a scam and fraud beyond measure and should be permanently shut down so this issue no longer keeps happening to people. We had to threaten to get lawyers involved to get anywhere with this problem and that is frustrating due to the money spent for the used motor. I'm part of a Government Public Works building and they had no problem trying to scam a Gov't agency so I'm sure this problem is much worse for normal business and people trying to get a used engine or transmission. So do not use this company they will rip you off and try to keep your money.
Did you get your money in full back for your Hemi engine? I have been scammed twice by this scammer "company" and am in contact with others with the same experience. We are collaborating to file a class action lawsuit against them. If your problem did not get resolved and you want to join in our effort please contact me via email lisag.barnes78@gmail.com or by phone [protected]. This awful company needs sued and shut down.
Unusable engine
The engine we received was junk; rusted and would not even turn. After reviewing several of their customer return notices, it looks like the same engine in every ad. It shows a pattern of their standard mode of operation. They take the customer’s money in advance, send them a junk engine to pacify them for a while, then suggest another engine or a partial refund. In their original ad, it is stated there are no hidden charges or surprises. There is no mention of restocking charges. The unusable engine was returned well within the 30 day time limit. At no time was a restocking fee ever discussed or mentioned. As per notification from the Wisconsin consumer protection agency. We have filed a complaint with them also and are awaiting this outcome before moving in a class action lawsuit in the State of Wisconsin.
Desired outcome: We respectfully request a full charge back in the amount $1622.50
Hi Sally. I have been scammed twice by this scammer "company". Unfortunately many people have and they need sued and our monies returned and completely shut down. I have been reaching out to recruit victims like us and the list is growing. We would like to file a class action lawsuit on them. If you would like to rally with us please contact me via email lisag.barnes78@gmail or [protected].
2011 Jeep 3.7L engine
I ordered this engine for $2705 and paid $1500 to have it installed by a mechanic with 50+ years experience. It worked fine around town for a few days but the first time I went on trip (70 miles) the head gaskets blew. Since then the calls to them were either dropped or they acted as if they could not hear me. When I actually did speak to someone who answers the calls (always the same female) I am always told a supervisor would call me back and I never get a call back. A truck showed up to pick up the bad engine-I had no prior knowledge that this would happen and the engine was still in my Jeep. They will not let me speak to anyone.

Shipped us the wrong transmission, we received one for a Ford something or another, and we need a transmission for a 2001 Chevy S10 2wd automatic. Sent requested email back to them with information they requested, have not heard if they will refund our money or any kind of solution. Pictures below are what we received. They sent the correct engine.

Toyota tundra engine
Purchased a Toyota Tundra Engine (invoice 377412) for $5080. Engine was received August 4 and installed August 5th. Engine did not work. Brought to Toyota dealership. Diagnostics show no compression on cylinder #8. Summited all documents to warranty dep't of Engine and Transmission World. Never spoke to customer support but operator states warranty was shown as out of warranty for late installation. This is not true. They are looking at the date I received the invoice for the work done (Oct. 13) which is on one of the documents I've sumbitted. I've called no less than 20 times in an effort to speak with Sancho Pike in customer support. The one time I did get through, he quickly put me on hold and never returned. He has never returned my call regardless of my many requests to do so. EXTREELY frustrated with this and I want all my money back for parts and labor, $7969. I do not want them to send me another engine due to extremely poor customer support.
Desired outcome: Retrun my money in the amount of $7969.
I have been scammed by this "company" twice now. This has gone on too long and so many people have become victims to their awful lack of morality and dignity. Several people have reached out to me with the same experiences with this scammer "company" and we want to do something about it.We want to file a class action lawsuit against them and get our monies back and hopefully shut them down for good. This has gone for years with this place. I wish I would have read the reviews before I ever did business with them. If you would like to rally with us please contact me via email lisag.barnes78@gmail.com or [protected]
Used engine has water in it - will not honor their warranty
I purchased a used Engine for a customer of mine on 07/20/21. The delivery was weeks late and I could never get the company to send me tracking info on the original used engine purchase. Once the engine arrived to the shop, I found water and a wasp nest in the engine. I have called multiple time only to be hung up on and when I did reach the warranty department I get nothing accomplished. I ve sent pictures for proof and I still have not received a response back. Ive been told I will be emailed and called about getting the engine replaced and it has been over a month with out hearing from Engine and Transmission world. I would like a full refund for this used engine due to is was shipped to me with water and a wasp nest in the engine.
Desired outcome: REFUND!
Refund not given
I purchased an engine on June 14, 2021. Email 3 times and called 3 times to get vin of engine I had just purchased. Left message for manager once and next time he had me on hold for 22 mins before I hung up. Three days later I got so frustrated I cancelled my order and asked for a refund.
That was a bad customer service experience. All I was requesting was to give me the vin number to my engine. There is no real customer service department to speak of. Now its been about 13 days and still have not received my refund yet. I am constantly sent to speak to the manager but the manager has never picked up the phone.
This place is horrible and needs to be investigated.
Used engine
I bought a used engine from them and it was sent my mechanic and after it was installed it did drive right and the mechanic told me that one of the pistons is bad. Two months later this company has still not responded satisfactorily.
The customer service agents there keep sending me to their supervisor (Sancho) who never answers any phone calls.
I have talk to Cheryl and Sandy in customer service and besides transferring me to Sancho they told me they only have the one supervisor and could not give me any owner information.
Desired outcome: I would like a replacement engine per their warranty.
