I find it pretty disturbing that every time I visit your store located on General Meyers in New Orleans on the Westbank #00858, the store managers or assistant managers are very loud, cursing freely, laughing, and just being blatantly rude. I visited your store today and stood in line because only one register was open and the rest of the cashiers or managers or whatever they were refused to come and open a register. I did not appreciate it and nor their attitude. Even though this Family Dollar is convenient in prices and distance, I'd rather travel further to another location than deal with this lack of professionalism.

After using my smart clipped/coupons for the advertised discount for huggies diapers, The sales associate ringing up my items, Sherry Crabtree of store # 06070 2900 Dale blvd, Dale City VA 22193, argued, refused to sell me the advertised price for huggies super box diapers sizes 3-6 80-132 ct. The price drop listed at $23-$2 smart coupon final price with Smart Coupon off one (1) item $21. She told me that I had to pay $23 because that is the price that the registered stated. When I showed her the advertised sales tag hanging on the isle, and asked her if she could explain why it stated $21 valid through 5/30/18. The sales associate replied "I don't know" I then asked to speak to the manager so they could explain to me why I was not receiving the sales price because the tag clearly stated $21. Mrs. Crabtree rudely yelled"I am the store manager!" I was shocked that I was hearing this neg reply from a store manager! As the Store Manager she should be able to professionally educated about store ads, etc and to provide exceptional customer service. I did not receive quality customer service from your manager. It is very unprofessional esp, as a store manager to tell a customer that you don't know about products and information in your store which you expect the consumer to purchase, she is not the BEST representation for Family Dollar. When I approached the register to check out I was standing and waiting to be greeted/helped, because she was eating/drinking behind the register. I Love shopping! at FD and the great savings on my certain family/household needs, instead of spending my $ at other larger retailers. But, I have never experience poor service other then this specific store which seems to always be understaffed. I will be giving FD a negative review on yelp and other sites and would like to be refunded for my purchase. This store has been around way too long providing service to communities worldwide to allow this type of manager to lower its standards, and lack of knowledge and poor quality customer service. rude and disappointed
I arrived at family dollar on lake june in dallas rd store number#02141... I ran three blocks just to get there before closing time... I arrived at five minutes before closing and doors was locked and looking through the window I can both cashier's counting money and they also saw me, one of the workers just smiled while the other told get the [censored] away from here... I was hurt and disappointed because me and family always love to shop at family dollar but I will never go again

The customer service was awful. Instead of handing me my change the cashier through it which caused it to fall, even though I had my hand out waiting for it. I told her that there was no need to through it and she got irritated and started arguing that she didn't throw it. So I asked her if she could please call her manager and she said that she was the manager so I then asked for her name and she said her name is Brittany Burge. The store number is #01022 at 310 W Ferguson RD Mount Pleasant TX 75455. On the bottom of the receipt, it has a number which might be her employ ID number 1158369. If this is the type of customer service that Family Dollar offers then I will be sure never to shop at Family Dollar again.
extreme unethical behaviour
A few months ago I shopped at the local family dollar and was short.72 cents. With a screaming 2 year old and a line of 4 long... I told the cashier I have more money in my car cash me out and i'll be right back. She said no I told her I have money no need to let people wait, she said again no go get your money. I came back in andall was settled..
My daughter who is extremely dyslexic wanted to buy her items and was paying for them on 05-21-2018 so she can have a sno cone sale, christine told her: "you always come in and never have your money ready, next time have your money ready and have enough or dont come in" my daughter left crying.. Later that same day during our snocone sale, I was in for my 4th trip of the day for gloves spoons nakins etc... And my son 2years old needed to use the restroom, he does have a weak bladder and has on file bladder infec. I asked if he can use the restroom christine said no. I asked if he can use the bathroom she replied no its not for you its for us. I said you can take himplease she scorned no... He started pulling his pants down and I rushed him o0ut side way behind the building. I was up set for a 2 year old to have to use the restroom out side. I told her thanks we had to use the restroom outside, she said shel call the police next time she sees me or my kid, a 2 yearf old! Do you know me lady I shop daily for my aunt who owns the apartments across the street and mini hotel... we go in daily, she needs to be held accountable...… and not be fired just to be deomote until she can have great customer service... Until then I feel her rudeness is boarder racil...

I was a employee for two years, assistant manager and was improperly terminated. They say the cause was leaving the safe open which they STATED they thought was a accident cause they seen on camera where i attempted to close it . My store manager told me to take two days off while they reviewed the incident after not hearing anything by the third day i began trying to contact them which i was unanle to do for two days after finally reaching her she said TOMMY(district manager)took me out the system and to reapply AFTER TALKIN TO HR THEY INFORMEDE I COULD REapply now which i dod after i contacted the store for followup and there was a holdup on processing my app because i was previously employed there but all i needed was tommy to move it forward AFTER I CONTACTED HIM HE REPLIED VERY RUDELY THAT I WAS NOT REHIREABLE ND HE THOUGHT THAT WAS MADE CLEAR! I was shopping in Family Dollar about a week ago there was a price listed on some tissue outside the store for $1.95 I went into as cashier which tissue was on the sale she came outside pointed to the one that I had and said this one's on sale at grab several of the items due to it being a good deal headed to the cashier to pay for those items a manager comes out name Demir he stated excuse me you cant buy all of those the price is incorrect I then stated well the associate told me that the price was 195 he said well I'm the manager and I override anything that she says therefore you will not be able to buy those at their price he stated because he does not have to he's the manager and what he says goes as stated okay I will be calling the corporate office he then said call the corporate office they not going to do anything wow after reading all the reviews and complaints on Family Dollar I'm shocked that they are still in business I'm shocked that they are allowing their employees to treat customers who actually pay the salaries of these employees to still be employed .
I then return to the store today because my children wanted candy and it's in our neighborhood the and Associates stated to me she was sorry but she was not allowed to serve me I cannot come back into the store at this moment that's discrimination I can't come back into the store because you all made a mistake and I mentioned it to the manager she said I have no idea I was just told that if you came back in the store we cannot serve you her name was Lindsay all of this is taking place at the new Family Dollar on Brownsville Road in Powder Springs Georgia

My 11 year old daughter and i were treated very poorly and were humiliated and kicked out of the family dollar store in monte vista, co 81144, store #5509 by a lady named Jess all because my daughter had to use the restroom really bad. I went to take her to the bathroom and it was locked. So I thought well maybe we need a key so I went looking for someone and asked if there was a key to the bathroom and a differnet lady said we don't open our restrooms to the public or to customers. So my daughter and i went back towards the bathroom to get our stuff we put to the side. We started walking back where my mom was to tell her i needed to take my daughter somewhere else because she really had to use the restroom and my daughter tells me mom I have to use the bathroom bad. I was joking with her as we were walking to find my mother I told my daughter jokingly and laughing just pop a squat right there in the corner and use it. And Jess overheard me and was there talking to her friend not an employee, in the back where they keep their stock and she was all snooty and rude saying um or not. So I turned to her and said well she has to use the restroom and u people don't allow customers to use the restroom here. And we kept walking. She started mumbling things to her friend about us and my daughter told me, mom she's talking about you so I said out loud to my daughter i dont care let her talk crap. Well a couple minutes later the lady "jess" came charging at us yelling get the hell out of my damn store i am 86ing you out of here. So I said ok fine and she said get the hell out move both of you. So I dropped all the stuff I had in my hands on the ground and told her fine pick it up. And she yelled again very angirly charging and stomoing right behind my daughter, who was starting to get scared, you need to get the hell out right now! Pretty much shoving us. Then I slowed down to move this basket over because it was in the middle of the aisle so that we could get around it and she yelled again you need to hurry and get out of my damn store. So I told her well calm down I have to move your basket unless you want me to run into it and hurt myself then you'll have a lawsuit. And she yelled again throwing her arms up at us saying get out now! So me and my daughter walked out. My daughter was very upset telling me mom im sorry i got us in trouble i just really had to use the bathroom. There was no reason whatso ever for this lady to yell and scream at my daughter and i. We were not causing any trouble. I am sorry this jess lady over heard my daughter and i talking and joking amongst ourselves and took it way out of proportion. People in the store were looking at us like wow! There are many family dollar stores here in this valley and not any other one of them close their restrooms to their customers. There was no sign or indication at all that customers or the public were not able to use that restroom so we had no idea. But the fact that this lady took things way out of perspective and very unprofessional especially to an 11 year old little girl was beyond rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and unjust. My daughter and i are no longer allowed or welcomed in that store all because my daughter had to use the restroom and this manager or employee decided to be hateful, make a huge scene, scare my daughter and over react. Things should have been handled a lot differently. I expect this matter to get fixed before anyone else or child has to experience the same thing my daughter and i had to experience!

Poor Service from both the CSR Taniqua and Store Manager Karina, even after I left the store customers walked up to me and said that they were still talking about me after I had left the store, like I was a threat to them or something. It started over a question regarding keeping my merchandise safe after they have just got rob since we can, t take carts out and I asked them how will they keep my stuff safe and Taniqua got upset and asked me did I want my merchandise as I was looking for me credit card in my purse, she then waited and said it again. I asked her did she have a problem with me looking for my credit card, the she got mad to turn and walked away. I told her that is rude she told me she was multitasking, and I told her as a customer I like some eye contact because she was totally disrespecting me. Then she said "do you want me to call my Supervisor, I said sure if you like but I didn't call them you did. But the Store Manager came right over and said she heard everything and that Taniqua is not mad because I was digging in my purse, she was mad because the way I was looking at her. I was visiting the store as I often do to pick up last minute items. It is 78° out in my car, my windows were all down 3 inches and I had water in the car for my dog. I was in the store for almost 5 minutes when one of the employees came in and screamed at me telling me she was going to call the cops on me telling me I was ignorant and a bad dog owner. I was cashing out at the time and I had told her I just got there a couple minutes ago and she said she knew I had been there for five minutes. I was so embarrassed because there was a lot of other customers there. I almost was in shock because I could not believe how rude she was being. If she had come in and said I think the dog is hot and might need you to go out there and check on him I wouldn't of been insulted at all but she screamed at me made a huge scene I was completely embarrassed and insulted. I then asked the boy who was helping me cash out what her name was and he said it was Kelsey. That is all I know. This is the Family Dollar located on Minot Avenue in Auburn Maine.

I went in my local family dollar in which I buy a lot of my laundry detergent. I specifically saw a sale sign on All brand laundry detergent stating the sale price was 395 minus the one dollar digital coupon with a balance of 295. I went and paid my bill went out to my car and checked the receipt and it rang up five dollars with one dollar digital coupon leaving the amount I paid four dollars. I took it back in the store showed the Cashier and he said oh the sign just was never taken down but that has expired. It expired on May 13 2018 & today is May 20, 2018. He then proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do about it because his manager would Yellit him for doing it. He had to go by what was on the sale ticket, now it's not my fault that the sign wasn't taken down. I'm pretty upset because I go in there often to buy things but this is a big turn off even though it's only a dollar and some change it's not the point I am a single mom I have a disabled child to every penny counts so I doubt I will be going back to Family Dollar to shop. It's just ridiculous that a manager would yell at someone for their Mistake and furthermore cannot satisfy a customer, terrible customer service in that store meaning the manager the man behind the cashier counter he couldn't do anything about it wasn't his fault
customer service received from manager/ denied refund
I was denied a refund at Family Dollar #05575. Manager Paul was extremely rude today. First off I am a regular customer and often shop at this location for my church. If I am not assisted and accomedated on this matter all business will go to Wal-mart. AND all churches donations will be asked to be purchased through Meijer or Wal-Mart.
I sent my husband in to family dollar last night to pick up some hair conditioner. And of course he came back with the wrong thing. But worse it looked used and had hair in the jar. So I came to return it this morning, explaining this. But the manager Paul insisted "I used it" and now trying to return it. He also said that the $7 Dollar hair cream was to big of a lost to him. And he will not return it. I assured him as I am a regular customer that my complaint should be considered and that I defiantly did NOT use this product and this is the very reason I am returning it. He did not care and insisted I keep it because I used it. He even said he thinks someone in my home probably did. This is obserd as I am the only woman in my home with small children that does not have the ability to access hair care products or open them. AND my husband has a shaved head.

We went into the family dollar, the manager only greets certain people, he was purchasing a couple of cokes and when he gave her the $5 bill, she marked it to see if it counterfeit, really?.
For someone who thinks she is perfect her store is always a mess and can never get around and down the isles. She is hateful and disrespectful. If you don't like your job get a different one but she shouldn't take it out on her customers without them she wouldn't have a job.
faulty glow sticks
I went to family dollar store #01225 in chapmanville wv and bought my son some glow sticks while I was doing some shopping. I opened the glow sticks for him to play with about a week later and not one out of a pack worked so I opened another pack, I bought him four packs, the second one I opened had one that worked in it. The other two packs were better but still not too good, out of four packs, four in each pack, there was six or seven that glowed. I took the pack that wasn't any good and the pack that had only one good one with the receipt back to the store (#01225) and the manager told me it had been over seven days so there was nothing she could do, it had been eight days, seriously. I just wanted to exchange them and let them know they might want to pull them off the shelf until new ones came in, they only cost a dollar a pack but it's just the principal. All I wanted was some glow sticks for my little boy, so I just went to Walmart and bought him some, which is the same distance and actually cheaper but I believe in shopping at small town smaller businesses. I mean seriously one day over the "seven" day rule, that's a joke, come on people get it together this is why Walmart is blowing you out of the water.

I came into the store 5/19/2018 i was denied the purchase for no reason. I had my ID on me and was still denied because your manager didnt like my ID.Mind you im a 30 year old married women who was disrespected for no reason and i will never shop at your store again after my experience today. So i left the store and came back with my wife to get the cigrettes. Even when i came back i was still denied. I have rights and i should be able to buy cigrettes anywhere without harassment from your manager named darrius.

She is very rude to customers and from my eyes employees as well I do t think she deserves to be a manager cause she doesn't get along with anyone who steps in her path.She leaves her employees on the floor by themselves I ask certain employees like are you here by yourself they say no she in the office but that's every time I come in there. Store #31866 I think that's the store number but it's located on Plymouth & evergreen .I don't think she should be a store manager at all...
Just send a report to head office as though you are a customer and was shocked at the poor managment skills, give them a heads up about poor staff. :0)
being falsely accused of stealing
Today I went into the family dollar store #4948 around 4:10. I tried to buy some cat food and this Mexican mid aged man named Romero who was an employee stopped me and accused me of stealing one of their shirts in the past. I asked him to show me the camera footage of when and what I stole and he refused. I then walked out of the store unable to purchase what I needed. 1. The past year I have had blonde hair but on may 16th I dyed it red so as a blonde I was allowed to enter the family dollar and buy the kitten food but after I dyed my hair red all of a sudden I am a criminal. That is 100% wrong and called DISCRIMINATION. 2. I have never tried to steal from the family dollar or any other store I am a VALUABLE CUSTOMER, all that I have bought from there was kitten food dog food groceries and a dog brush. 3. I dont have a car so I take the bus places and the family dollar was my favorite store to go to but now I dont ever want to step foot in a family dollar again because of this employee Romero that made me leave the family dollar because I was accused of stealing something that I've never touched. Now my kittens are gonna starve unless I walk to the next nearest market so I can buy some cat food. Thank you Romero from family dollar #4948 for making me feel discriminated, hated, making my day bad and letting my kittens starve. Also you just lost a valuable customer due to you falsely accusing me of something you cant even prove. I believe that this man should be fired.
I really have a question for you guys. Why do you guys have a store open if you're just going to hire an employee that just shoved a valuable loyal customer out of their store after being FALSELY accused of stealing something I've never touched. Good day my name is Davita Shaw, I went into the store located on 13319 S.Brainard in Chicago around 11:15 -11:30am. It's Mother's day weekend trying to decide if I wanted to purchase flowers along w/the card I had in my hand.I went in line and it was a lady in front of me purchasing a lot of merchandise so while standing in line I notice a box sitting on the clearance rack w/ 4 containers showing on the box a few foot from the line. It wasn't no one in line yet that I notice, so I walked over to the box and notice it was 3 in the box instead of 4. As I walked back into the line it was 2 men walking up but by that time I'm back in line. The cashier saw me standing there and took the man that was behind me so I politely told the cashier that I was the next customer she stated (You've been stepping in and out of the line since you've been here). So now I'm noticing she's very irritated, so when she rung up my items she asked me with a very unprofessional attitude did I need a bag, by that time I'm irritated so I responded (do it look like I need a bag). I hand her my$20 she snatched the $ out of my hands, and I snatched my $ back and stated you didn't have to do that. So both the cashier and me went back and forth with rage.The manager didn't even ask what's happening, I simply told the manager that it was very wrong/impressional for her staff member to snatch $ out of my hand. The manager didn't even want to hear nothing I was saying a called the police on me and took my license plate#. I was so upset I throw the candy and Mother's day card down in the counter and walked out. I didn't hit nor threaten anyone all I wanted to do is purchase my items and leave. I tried to call corporate for a whole week and couldn't get through the line due to high calls. I don't know if charges was done on me or not but my whole Mother's day weekend was very upsetting from this incident. When I went to your new location (store# 11852) the clerk who greeted me and my family pretended to be special ed with a speech impediment. I don't understand how you can stand for this in your company. You put a store in one of the poorest community's in the city with the worst education statistics and hire people to mock the handicapped. It was a disgusting display of customer service.
prepaid wireless card
Purchased a net 10 prepaid wireless card today at 8:26, looked into family dollars return policy on their corporate website in the frequently asked questions response was yes as long as the card hasn't been used with the receipt. So I went into the store and the manager said I couldn't get my money back the receipt says all prepaid financial and gift cards if prepaid means wireless prepaid the receipt should say prepaid wireless. And I the frequently asked questions section that yes response should corrected or removed.
