One of your employees at family dollar #07053 called my son unsanitary just because he was holding a cup that I wasn't going to buy. He got a really bad attitude with me because of that and said that next time I had to buy the cup. He is nobody to tell me what to buy and what not to buy I only went in there for detergent and after he scan the things he didn't even wanted me to put in my number for coupons that I had. But the main problem is I don't appreciate him calling 2 year old and unsanitary child .
manager
Store only had one registered with a line of more than 10 people. When ask to open another register by other customers on line he had a attitude. When I reach up next on line when it came time for him to give me my changed that consists of paper and coin money he put it in my hand very nasty while I'm trying to grip my money he trying to place my receipt in my hand at the same I respond by Sing to him that it wasn't nice the way he put my money in my hand He then proceeded to tell me what I have to do Biw down to you! That was very rude and unprofessional that is not the way to treat customer that's supporting the busines if nobody comes in this to Spend their money then he will not have a job. I'm very Upset and embarrassed. Also I was giving a little white trash bag to put my brought items Which I was traveling far I think family dollar can do better than that

I went to the family dollar store on Monday 5/14/18 to the store on Pershing and Montana around 7:15 p.m I have been going to this store since it opened. I purchased several items and when I went to my truck one of the Noss drinks was leaking. I went back into the store and the lady that previously had taken care of me was doing something else, she was nice. The lady that took care of me this time was not she looked at me like I had done something wrong. I just wanted to exchange my product for a new one. I asked her for this and she said let me clean this up, I said I just want to get my product. When she came back she handed it to me with no apology. I remember when this lady first started working at this store she was nice not rude. The first lady that took care of me had tatoo's on her arms, it was the other lady. I tried to contact the store yesterday and today and nobody answers, when you get the voicemail it says not able to leave a message, what kind of store is this? I do not want anything just for this to be brought to this employees attention I would appreciate a follow up email responding to my request.
manager
On May 8 2018 I went to Family Dollar store at Jonesboro LA. I had purchased a Wahl All In One Trimmer at the West Monroe LA store on Cypress St. April 15 2018. I purchased this trimmer for my mother (Mother's Day). I opened trimmer to make sure it was charged. Trimmer would not work. I gave manager (Betsy) my ticket. She said she couldn't do anything for me. I told her trimmer did not work even after charging it. She repeated several times it had been used which it had not. I told her if she couldn't do anything for me I would be getting in touch with Family Dollar store. She said she would work out something but she didn't like my attitude. I told her I didn't like hers. I asked her if there was another trimmer in store. She said I didn't ask for exchange. I got another trimmer. There was no reason for her to act towards me the way she. I have worked with public and was always told do not argue with customers. I have shopped at Family Dollar for years and never had a problem until this. Thank you.
the air-conditioning
I shop FD daily. Most days 30/ plus min in the store... I spend countless money there, even though I have other options... I'm 43 years old with health problem... Shopping in the summer time at the local store is almost impossible for me bc of the heat... Its suffocating hot in your stores ... people are complaining ... its not something some of us can deal with ... we will have to shop elsewhere... And tbh its a very sad thing to see your employees suffering all day long . 80 degrees in a store is hott and not A fair employee act ... if they could or chose to work in that environment don't you think they would chose a job yo make more money. Sad on an employer part ...
service
I was looking for the cat food when one of the managers was talking about a customer and then about a fellow employee, It was very foul language so i had asked my boyfriend to come in and help me look for the cat food, when he went into the store i overheard one employer talking about me and my boyfriend. He works there and had said nothing the entire time, so i asked the store manager who was very rude and nasty about the comments that were being made and she threatened my boyfriend his job and calling the cops when all i simply asked was for them to stop making rude comments to customers and their fellow coworkers
employee complaint
As me and my wife enter the store at 9:45 pm on sunday night may 13 a employee saw us enter and said all [censored] i explained that we only needed a couple of things and with a nasty approach said i hope you are using a card because the register is close so we left without are stuff i hope this is not how you r going to start treating customer after all
service
I have grown quite tired of going to the store that is supposed to close at 10p only to find out they closed at 9:45. When asked why this happens so often the cashier says if the manager doesn't like them leaving early he should stay and close himself. They say all employees close The store at 9:45 so they don't have to stay longer if people show up late. Very unprofessional!
truck driver with an attitude
I had an unsafe, unjustified rude encounter with one of your truck drivers while we were both moving down the road.
On Thursday, May 10th, I was driving south on US 61 between Dewitt and Eldridge, Iowa. I had my cruise control set for the speed limit, 65 mph. I noted your red truck cab in my rear mirror for a few miles. Another Volvo truck behind yours passed both of us (I noted this because they were identical semi's except for color). After the blue semi passed me, your truck also decided to pass me. Because we were both going more or less the speed limit - 65 mph - passing me took a couple minutes. Apparently, your driver found this irritating.
When the Family Dollar cab came even with my car, your driver laid on his horn for 5-10 seconds. I found this jolting but did not change my speed. Then your driver started crossing the center line, taking inches of my lane away from me such that I had to steer toward the shoulder. When your truck trailer cleared my vehicle - barely - he cut in closely in front of me. And then . . . he braked such that I suddenly was about to drive into the back of his trailer!
Again, I was going the speed limit, but even so his behavior was unnecessary at best, and unsafe to be sure. I hope you will find this driver and reprimand him significantly. He should not be on the road or representing your company.
Family Dollar trailer #54111. May 10th at 3PM between Dewitt and Eldridge, Iowa.
Thank you for your attention to my complaint.
service
I've gone in this Family Dollar twice this week. The employees are always unprofessional and projecting anger towards the customers. The store is cluttered and disorganized. And, the staff doesn't offer assistance to find products. This behavior sheds a negative light on Family Dollar as a whole. The bitter sting of poor customer service lingers and overshadows the convenience of being the closest store in the community!
i'm complaining because I was falsely accused of stealing out of the family dollar store at the plaza in charleston wv 25301
I must have kicked an empty denture cream box n picked it up n handed it to a worker there and he ups and calls me a muther [censor] telling me to leave n im arguing with him and the manager and a cashier named cookie in which I did leave the store n cookie said she believed me cuz I showed them all clearly I didn't have anything on me. So I waited a week went in bought some cereal and stuff went back in a week later on friday the 14th of may and tried to buy some stuff n the same manager watched me walk in put my bag behind the counter n proceeded to shop. Then the boy who supposedly thru me out came up disrespecting me again taking the stuff outta my hands cussing me again
racial profiling
The Family Dollar store located in Casselberry, FL is notorious for racial profiling against African American people. I had been followed throughout the aisles and monitored closely by a young white man on many occasions. Tempted to blow up and confront him I would try to remain civil and leave peacefully allthough aggravated. The young man would see me come through the entrance, just stare and then rush down the aisle I was in hoping to catch me in the act. After the fifth time this occurred I reported it to their district manager. Thank God this punk no longer works. Now there is a new young white female working there and today while in aisle looking at snack bars the white female raced to the aisle I was in as if she had been scurring the aisles in search of me. One she saw me and I looked back at her she walked away. I swear these people are low grade, ignorant and have no class. I feel Family Dollar coaches and trains their white employees to keep a close eye on the Blacks while they shop and it sickens me. I make more salary then everyone working in this store. Be advised never stole anything in my life, work 60 hours a week and am a devout Christian that attends (church) two days a week so if all these people wanna focus is my dark skin then that makes them fools. They think my skin makes me dishonest or more likely to wanna steal.
racist cashier
I am an elderly handicap white gentleman and I was at family dollar on geyer springs rd I little rock and I eas having trouble with my walker and getting bags the cashier named roni was frustrated cause she didn't have a break and the li e was back I g up she stated I need to get
"my crippled old cracker a[censored]. Moving" I was shocked I left and will not go back to a racist business
an employee
I went to ask the employee if they had toothpicks and where I could find them. He told me he's not on the clock, so he can't help and walked off. I think that's very bad customer service and poor attitude, the way he walked off and his face expressions. Even the other employee said what he did was uncalled for. I've worked in customer service retail before and ui shouldn't treat a customer like that.
incorrect signage
For the past 2 months there have been incorrect pricing signs on the children's underwear. This store happens to be close to my twin toddlers daycare and I come here on my way to work to buy underwear due to potty training accidents at school. It's easier to buy new packs and leave them at the school. The sign on the underwear display clearly states the price of $5.75, however when I got to the register, the price was $7.75. True customer service is honoring the price that is displayed. The worker simply told me, "Well we are in the process of re-doing all the signs in the store." This is NOT a true statement. The display of $5.75 has been there for 2 months with the incorrect pricing. Please correct this matter or show the correct pricing!

My name is Phoebe Banks. I've been in retail management for over 30 yrs..My ex-husband was with Assumption Parish Sheriff Office for over 16 years. We and our three children are well known and liked in the community. The new manager of the Hwy 1 store in the paincourtville location is making it extremly difficult for all the young employees to remain with the company. My Son is under attack and I need quick results before he resigns. He came home with an extremly sad face saying mom I think I have to find another job ASAP. I asked him to hold off until I reach out to HR. This manager needs coaching. There is a lot of training opportunities. We are prepared to shine a light by means of social media And our friends at WAFB local news.. the first red flag was the second week my son started working for FD he got off and said mom I need to go to the bank for cash.. I asked why son? He explains how the register came up short and he and the manager were gonna split the shortage out of pocket 👀. I said whoa son. That's NOT the way it's done. 1. It could turn up in the next days paper work. 2. Your still training how can be responsible 3. How do you KNO where this cash is going 4. You can't add to or take from the stores deposit. My said son explained how that was the only way to avoid documentation. I didn't like but I paid it smh. Red flag #2 no notice schedule changes..sure in retail there are times when we may have emergency schedule changes but we first have to make sure the employees are available..no school or community activities scheduled..my son speaks to children at local schools on how to become successful adults and contribute to society. The store manager is crushing my son's spirit and I will not stand for it! Customers have over heard ugly conversations on how he's planning to make my son's work life so miserable it can only result in a resignation from my son. I encouraged my son to reach out to the DM but he got no support. customers shopping in the store have heard negative talk about my son from the SM and are willing to write a statement if necessary. Another unprofessional move: he text associates under my son and give instructions not to follow his instructions. These texts have been validated and are still in the phones of associates . Additional unprofessional facts which can probably be validated by store surveillance; he's worked in flip flops and Nike basketball shorts...i manage with extreme structure and discipline and have always earned the respect of those under me and appreciation from those over me. I've always been able to get my people to work doubles or come in on precious off days. How? By the way I lead..as managers we must always be FAIR and CONSISTENT..
Another note: about three days your stored closed in the middle of the day..it was after lunch. Who Does That?! Lol who's gonna cover THAT shortage...unexceptable .
If I allow this "manager" to push my son out, I will have failed him..ive always taught righteousness always win..
Another unprofessional move: his famous thing to say is..."dis mi sto..i run it the I want to" . We can also get a statement from the asst mgr who resigned a few weeks ago.
My goal: teach my son that EVERYBODY has someone to answer to. EVERYBODY has to be held accountable for their decisions/choices... and I need the SM to back off of my son. He's a good kid with strong values and a super supportive family...

I sent an email less than an hour ago and I needed confirmation of delivery.
I called and stayed on hold for over .30min and gave in and hung up..im thinking that's the goal. Keep the customer complaint on hold until they give an hang up smh. A snap shot of the call is included
I would like to have confirmation of email.
This is a follow up to a complaint
My Son is under attack by the store manager and is getting no support from The district manager..Watching his sad face is making me sad😟
I'm waiting for a response to my email. I tried to speak with a live person but was on hold for over 30min and couldn't go any longer..
Store manager says it's his way or the highway and guess who's gonna win..
I tell you it's not gonna be my 22yr son
Hold on, you're the one reaching out to HR? That's your first mistake your son should be doing that himself. This is his problem not yours. He should just quit without having another job in place. At that age many employers understand why he would do something like this, especially given the circumstances. Nothing good happens when you try to fix someone who doesn't want to change.
