I shop at family dollar in mont belvieu tx. Its a great store clean and well stocked. All the employees are very nice. But there is one manager that seems to always be in a bad mood. I have heard her yell at customers other employees. Storm off cussing. Refuse to take coupons or give cash back. I asked her name one day and she was very rude in answering me. Her name is martha harris. She is very loud in her speaking with people. You can hear her through the whole store. She also speaks very badly of the store manager. Saying that she doesn't know how to run a store or make the schedule right. She has a favorite employee. She is always slamming things around. Mumbling under her breath. She is always complaining that everything makes her nervous. Then why does she work in retail? i really would like to see something done about this. The other employees don't deserve to be treated this way.

I went to family dollar tonight before it closed ( around 8:45 ) and purchased milk. The milk that was sold to my husband wasn't any good and they knew it because they let him purchase it for a $1. Who sale milks to customers that is no good.. I'm tired of this store and something needs to be done immediately! If not resolved I will keep escalating

I am very concerned...I shop at the Family Dollar store almost DAILY. We feel very blessed to have this store in our little farming/mining town. From what I understand, the store is doing extremely well in sales here! Check your books!
The air conditioning in the store has been out for more than 3 weeks. We still have 100 degree temp. plus at times. The store is so uncomfortable and hot, that the food items are melting, such as Halloween candy, etc. The employees are working under terrible conditions. They have the doors propped wide open which allows flying and crawling insects in the store. Flies all over the food and bees, plus, also probably invites some shop lifting I am guessing with quick access out the doors. The shelves have dust that blows in, but at least the air is circulating.
Some customers are refusing to shop there now. We have a community with a lot of elderly, they are uncomfortable with the conditions. Also I was in the Duncan Family Dollar recently and the toilets were not working. The problem went on for more than a week, with sewage spilling over. The store had a HORRIBLE smell, everyone commented as they arrived or quickly left. The employees were not able to go to the restroom either. There are NO stores around to run next door etc. Sometimes the store only have one employee. They would be forced to close the store to run home to use the facilities. I called OSHA and told them this situation, to their response, "so be it, if they need to close the store, and we are not required to have AC". Seriously?
Like I said the store is such a blessing to us here in Duncan and the neighboring communities, I thinking your profit will show that. Can you please help this store out and not sweep the it under the door mat?
I also have called in addition to OSHA, the State Health Department and now Family Dollar Corporate. I can ASSURE you... I am not the only one you have received complains and concerns from. I do not want to band this store like some people have said. I am afraid, it could back fire...and we would loose this great store. Please help us or direct someone to help with the health conditions of the Duncan Family Dollar.
The employees work above and beyond their duties. They each need to be highly commended on everything they do...you would be amazed how hard they work. Really, they are absolutely amazing at all they are expected to do and more...MUCH MORE! They need to be thanked for their loyalty and dedication!

I just left out of Family Dollar I was waiting in line there was a gentleman in front of me waiting to pay and a young lady behind me the cashier stepped away from the register to go talk to her boss around scheduling in the middle of the gentleman's transaction he was ready to pay with cash so I said ma'am and she responded by saying hold up a minute so seconds later she came to the register with a nasty attitude she cashed out the first guy, and then it was my turn she bagged up my stuff and told me to get the receipt she did not hand me my receipt like she did the first gentleman so I don't have a problem with coming in that family dollar and no one says hi welcome to Family Dollar but at the very least I think they should at least be able to extend basic customer service skills with handing The customer their receipt, Britney was the cashier, and her boss was right there named Sharon I really think something should be done with this situation so that this doesn't happen which I'm sure that it does to other people .

Im being charged to much...once I looked over my receipt as i was sitting in my car outside the family dollar off 4712 Yellowstone blvd..store #11499...and the amount of money I gave to the cashier was not adding up...so when I went into the store the lady didn't give me back full refund of $11.85..she gave me only $9.61..and i was like where's the rest of...

Hello, I went to Family dollar in Chicago on 125th Ashland I notice alot of these store advertisement coupons hanging around so I grabbed 5 Clorox bleach but when I got up to da counter da young lady @ da register told me I cudnt use da posted advertisement cuz it shud of been taking down :(

On October 2, 2017 we purchased a Rca antenna fror $13.00 at the store#11900 Blacksburg Sc. We tried it out on all our televisions and seen that it wasn't going to pick up on any of our televisions. So my boyfriend took the item back on October 5, 2017 along with the receipt and was denied a refund was told electronic items couldn't be returned with or without receipt. If this policy had've been posted we would've never purchased it there. So I called and spoke to the store mgr whom name is Becky very very very rude for 1. She raised her voice and when I asked her why she was raising her voice she said well I'm sorry if you think I'm raising my voice but we have the policy posted and I said but it doesn't specify this on the receipt and honestly I'm not paying any attention if I'm in the store with 3kids to any signs she says well you can stop in and I'll show you. So I did just that the policy is posted but only visible for the cashier to see this is very horrible customer service and horrible to the company cause if I would've know the policy I wouldn't have purchased this item at family Dollar. And for Becky to be a store mgr she needs to learn to talk to customers and being more apologetic instead of raising her voice!

This has been going on for a while I have been shopping at the summerville Family dollar. My experience with how the manager treats her employees is outrageous. She should not talk to them the way she does. She treats them like dogs. From what I have over heard from her instructing her employees she is not a good manager. I was wrongly accussed of stealing recently. I allowed the employee to search my things and she did not find anything. She continued screaming/yelling in my face in front of other customers. I tried explaining that also happens at Dollar General and that it most likely is my car key or phone but she just kept repeating why is it beeping and not trying to hear me out. I was highly embarrassed & disgusted by her rude actions. Not once have I ever been accussed of stealing. I asked her to pull the camera because I'm innocent, she refused & asked to check me again..I refused because if you didn't find anything the first time you won't find anything a second time and was told never to return!

Actually I am not complaining. I have a request. After dealing with so many angry, frustrated customers, I thought you might like a little respite.
I've been trying to explain to my great-niece, that texting or talking on her phone during work might jeopardize her job.
Of course despite my working in Customer Care longer than she's been alive, she thinks I'm wrong.
When I completed my Family Dollar survey, I was delighted (vindicated) to see the question about employees' personal cell phone use.

store keeps door locked and wouldn't let customers in
I've been shopping at Family Dollar #6310 on Jeffersonville Rd, Macon, Georgia since it opened around 10 years ago. The store is always cluttered, with boxes stacked in the aisle, but that is not my complaint.
I went to Family Dollar this morning around 9:15 (store opens at 8). There were customers inside the store, but the door was locked. I knocked on the door. The customers and clerk just looked at me and laughed.
This is not the first time I've gone in the middle of the day to find the door locked with people inside.

I have stopped by the Family Dollar store in Stanton Ky with my children where I was not happy with two of the employees. I can't remember their names but they were both male employees, one was thin and one was over weight. My complaint is that on more than one occasion my children and myself had to listen to these employee's cursing loudly while having a conversation with each other. I feel this is very inappropriate, especially with children present. I'm not sure what your policy is about cursing while on the clock but my family and I are very offended by it.

I honestly do not know where to start, Lets start with a woman name mandy who is an assistant manager in the La Junta Store, she came to the las animas location to work a 9 hour shift without break which is against the law, but she is not my concern, I have seen workers there who work alone in the entire damn store ! they dont have no other workers to come in and help because they refuse to get this store a manager who has not had one for nearly 8 months now! Not to mention they have to send people they trust to the bank because there is no other workers there to take on that task, people who arent even working for this company is doing work in the store. Workers are being mistreated due to the fact most of them sign up for part time work and yet LISA the district manager is scheduling them more than 40 hours a week. when they try and speak to her about it, she basically ignores them. I witness an incident where a very stressed worker been there before 730 working an hour free because they have to unload a truck because the district manager cant get up off their behinds from taking constant vacations to get people in there to help these people out. I do not know what happen to that employee but I believed he may have been fired, which is UN acceptable and not right considering it is not his fault that management is so piss poor. Mandy was covering the store Friday October 6th, I simply asked one question, do they have you here alone ? she said yes and then went on to illegally slandering another employee when things got to much for him the other day. She was also seen in front of the store where her car is parked sitting on the hood smoking cigarettes taking up a spot that should of been for customers, she was also on her cell phone while checking out customers, while she continued to slander the other employee, I hope and pray that the other employee finds out and sue her because that is simply not right. Family dollar in las animas needs to get up off their butts, get more people in there to help the store run smoothly and not have only one person in the entire store trying their best to run it as the line continues to grow and go all the way to the back of the store. Many people have said they called corporate, then why is there nothing being done about it ? why are they scheduling part time workers over the amount of hours they are allowed ? Why are workers working as much as 9 hour straight without breaks. DISTRICT MANAGER Lisa I believe her name is, is on constant vacation she should be fired along with Mandy, who is also rude to other workers I have witness not to mention people not doing their jobs right, I went this morning to buy a case of water, . pick the water up and bottles fall every where, when I get to the register a different worker asked if they were all there, I said I hope so if not may i bring it back ? Yes was the answer but if its missing bottles We cant do it .. What a shame! get the big dogs in this store to make it better, or close it down period !

What a mess! This store is an accident waiting to happen. There is merchandise, trash and boxes piled high. The merchandise on the store shelves is just thrown on there. Someone is very likely to get hurt in this mess. I could only see one employee on my visit and that was the person running the register. I will again never return to that location.

I work in the plaza so i go into this store on kimberly and 441 (state road 7) everyday for all my needs from snack to a dring even suplies for work and all the employees are polite and carring but this one manager shes hatian and looks like a teenage boy (wont give me her name and she doesnt wear a name tag) shes so rude everytime i go in there she has a attitude and rolls her eyes when u have any questions for her so one afternoon i bought a lighter and i went to use it the following day and it wasnt working so i went to the store and showed the lighter she said i was trying to steal and lie that i purchased the lighter there lmao the lighter was 1 dollar i had 400 in my pocket why would i be trying to steal a lighter if i went to the manager to show the lighter was broken lol so how do u figure i was trying to steal anyways i left when i came back the next day for a dring she was nasty and tolled me why was i coming back since i was trying to steal. How rude and embarrasing i ended up leaving my stuff at register and walked out and now everytime i walk by the store and she sees me she points at me through the window and gives me her middle finger i just cant believe shes the manager ... shame on Family Dollar for having a store manager that treats customers like this!

Store #4280: The parking lot and landscape is neglected, there is paper and trash on the grounds, paper cups, plastic bags and other debris in landscape. It seems to me that management does not care about the appearance of the business. I feel that this is unprofessional and makes this business look bad. This is a poor representation of the Family Dollar brand.

I visited the 5009B Governor Ritchie Hwy location, where i attempted to redeem two 3$ coupons on a merchandise. The cashier did not understand the coupon. The coupon in print says that i could use one or more coupons on any Reckitt Benckiser product. When trying to verify with a manager the two employees conversed in foreign language and without looking at the print on the coupon, the manager told me i could only use one on the product. I asked the manager to read the print because it was an misunderstanding on his end. The manager then started becoming very disrespectful, calling me a [censor] and telling me to get the [censor] out of his store. This embarrasing exchange occurred in front of customers. Some other customers were even recording exchange.
Employees did not have name badge on. Both employees also refused to give me any information for a coporate number. I was also denied purchase of my other items.

Very rude. I wanted to purchase candles that were on clearance. They were ringing up for one cent. I wasn't aware they were only a penny. The original price was a dollar so being on clearance I didn't figure they would be much less either way I wanted them. She said rudely that they were ringing up incorrectly that she wouldn't sell them because that couldn't be the sale price and it was a discontinued item anyway. I asked to speak with a manager, she told me I didn't need to because she knew what she was talking about. Also the last time she was working she cashed me out and was ranting and raving about a previous customer. Saying she isn't a people person. She says this about herself, well it definitely shows! I will not shop if she is working. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Dear customer service, I went to a family dollar store today hoping that I could get some 2 dial soap pks (6 bars/pk) using my printed coupon from coupons.com, unfortunately the manager said that your system does not accept coupons if the customer can get it for free. Well it is not for free I will just get an additional 1 dollar off from the 5dollar for 2 packs dial soap (6bars). You should put in your weekly ad that coupons other that your smart coupons are not accepted. Aside from the embarassment that it were not accepted, I just wasted my time, effort, gas, in going to your store. So can you clarify on this if this is your policy so I will not be wasting my time going to your store to avail these coupons? Thanks!
