bad job
I have worked as a temp and for multiple contractors at fed ex home in st. louis MO. As a temp it is an okay work environment 13.75 - 15.75 hourly + overtime. As a temp they dont expect much out of you and you have a small workload and get paid on time. The problem with being a temp is you typically only get hours oct-jan depending on the amount of snow we get. The more snow the more hours.
Now reality. You get hired as a temp during the holidays and then if you want to continue working you need to find yourself a contractor to work for the rest of the year. There are many contractors to choose from but people usually take the first offer they get.
Contractor pay varies from 1.20-1.35 a stop or120.00-135.00 a day before taxes. Pay per stop will be city and by day will be rural. Pay per stop not box (20 boxes to suite 900 = 1 stop if they are there to sign for it you dont get paid) I've been to many top floor apartments with 90lbs boxes if no ones there to sign you dont get paid. Plus gate codes, calling people, unmarked building (especially businesses on busy roads), rude big lady receptionist that refuse to sign and want you to wait for a manager to sign (ridiculous). I dont get paid by the hour and dont have time to wait, so sign for the package people!
In rural areas (120.00 a day 300+ miles) it's a whole new beast. 1 outta 7 houses is clearly labeled lots of back n forth fun. The directions/ manifest/ turn by turns are very wrong. here`s an idea quit using windows 97 to map out or turn by turns and don't buy 13 flat screens to put in the warehouse spewing safety non sense. I'd rather have correct directions then listen to some clown tell me not to back in to a driveway. It would send me 15 in warrenton 2 in jonesburg back to warrenton to high hill back to warrenton then new florence. It would also tell me to turn on roads that dont exist and your gps dosent take you the best ways out there if it can even find it. Oh and if you think your gps will get you through your wrong. I have been bit by 5 dogs chased by countless (bring mace) and I have had two people in a month try to fight me 1 in troy 1 in warrenton for them saying im speeding one guy walked in front of my truck opened my door and tried to turn my truck off. I put it in park and let him turn it off then kept laughing at him and telling him hes wrong he turned red and had a 55 year old tantrum like a child and broke my window controls. He never hit me but I had him arrested anyway. Oh and you will be speeding unless you prefer 15 hour days. My co-worker who does bowling green had a gun stuck in his face twice in 1 year for passing someone who was driving to slow, he got followed to his next stop. People say it's a great job and good "exercise" lol grappling or p90 is a good exercise not being hunched over in a van lifting heavy boxes and unorthodox lifting is not good for anyone. Walking up driveways builds 0 muscle and if your in shape when you get this job plan on losing power and muscle stamina immediately.
Who ever was in charge of uniforms has apparently never worked outside a day in there life. You get a polyester collared shirt that is black and dark purple, I had a nicer tee ball uniform when i was four. This shirt in the summer is uncomfortable and very hot (how bout a light colored cotton tee) If your lucky enough for your van or truck to have a/c (most trucks have 500, 000+ miles and are junk) the box is still like 130 degrees. Don't forget some gatoraid bottles to p in either a lot of gas stations wont allow you to use restrooms.
The biggest issue I have had with fed ex contractors is not getting paid. I personally have been ripped off twice and have heard of many others. One guy dint get 700.00 he was owed. I worked two days for contractor cant say name when the terminal was in earthcity still. I worked two twelve hour days after a big snow storm a few years ago for him, I did ok day1 and on day 2 I failed and quit after ten stops. He had 220 stops on my second day which is double and said I dont need to do it all but when I got to first stop I couldnt even open the big door on the box truck because everything fell into it. It took 20 min to open door. He never paid me and even though I quit I still did fine day 1 and worked 8 hours day 2. The next year after temping for holidays I helped out a contractor worked two 12 hour days 100% completion both days. The third day he asked me if I wanted to get hired on full time in east st.louis. I obviously said no thank you. So he refused to pay me, I saw him at the terminal two months later and pretty much had to start a fight screaming and yelling at him in front of everyone that he owes me money. He eventually paid me. I called the MO department of labor MO attorney general and a few others and they pretty much told me that since he is a private contractor has less then 3(i think) employees and dose less than 500, 000 a year they cant do anything and I should try small claims which would cost more than I was owed. How is that fair or even possible?
The ceo of fed ex needs to stand by his business and make all drivers fed ex employees with decent pay, overtime and benefits. They contract out so they are not responsible for any accidents or customer complaints which allows them stay a fortune 500 company according to the numbers. So when a customer complains about me being rude or speeding or anything else I'm not a fed ex employee so they dont take a negative mark. It's insane they are allowed to get away with it. In my opinion the worst 3 people in history in order would be 1.) Fed ex ceo 2.) Child molester 3.) serial killer
There is more i am forgetting but long story short: Think twice before getting hired by a contractor. I would only recommend this job if you are desperate or if you enjoy grabbing your ankles and being unwillingly and violently violated. This is a horrible job to have with poor pay and if I every win the power ball I will spend every penny to bring this company down and expose them for there borderline sweat shop practices.
p.s.
on ramps were built to get to highway speeds to merge with highway traffic at highway speeds which is 55-70mph depending on highway. 55 is unacceptable if the speed limit is 70mph. Floor that junk prius lady your going to get me killed. And don't block the fast lane people! I don't care if your going 90mph if the person to your right is also doing 90mph speed up or fall in. GET OUT OF FAST LANE!

poor delivery
There was a knock on the door on Thrs. morning and I went right down to open the door. I opened the front door to find a box from WalMart.com, delivered by the Fed EX truck that was backing down the driveway. About and hour later I went out and drove down the driveway. I was irritated to find 3 more boxes and the Fed EX slip down at the road by the mailbox. One box was opened at the top. Pictures are attached. These were paper products from Nashville Wraps and it was just about to rain when I found them there. These tracking numbers were:
[protected] Date Assigned: 08/08/2013
[protected] Date Assigned: 08/08/2013
[protected] Date Assigned: 08/08/2013
Since he was already up there at the front porch delivering the WalMart box, why did he not put these boxes there too. I have a 300 ft driveway and he put them down by the road where they could have been stolen or rained on! I do not understand why he did this.

Why is FedEx sending me an invoice for duty'/tax charges for £60.28 when it's a birthday gift sent from Malaysia by my family, when they had already paid the courier charges.
I think it's a ripoff!
did not receive order
I ordered a small heater from VMInnovations no 11/24/2012 . Received e-mail of delivery on the 28th or 29th. I had to go out of town on the 28th.I called early on the morning of the 28th and informed the person I would not be at home, requested for the driver to keep the package on truck and I would come to pick up. FedEx informed me they delivered the package to my house. I never saw this item. When I informed VMInnovations they said that FedEx delivered. Therefore I have to pay for something I did not receive. This is very bad customer service! FedEx needs to prove this delivery.
aggressive, bad driver
I was trying to pull out of a parking lot onto a four lane highway with a middle merge lane. I got into the merge lane and noticed the left lane was open and a Fedex van (#112618) in the right lane. As I was half way into the left lane, the Fedex driver changes lanes and cuts me off. I raised my hands in the air like in a "what-the-hell" gesture, and I notice he gives me the finger from his left mirror. He continues down the road changing lanes several times when vehicles are not going fast enough for him. I thought Fedex drivers were supposed to be professional. I guess not.

Residental deliveries are worthless, 3 times now, .No one home during the day, so Ihave to drive to in traffic to pick up #1 Paycheck 20 miles, oh it's on delivery truck I rush home and find truck.#2 Paycheck, one day attempt to deliver sent back, droive to City of Industry 90 miles.#3 Verizon cell phone, had some one at house did not hear FEDEX at door, called and told I could not pick up, called Verizon and told I could pick up 50 miles. Give me USPS, post office 5 miles.
Why are you complaining about HIS hand gesture when you made one yourself? That is like hitting someone then complaining that they hit you.
work hours
Since st. Patricks day, the hours of employees has decreased which I knew ahead of time and some managers has cut loose the people who actually work hard to accomplish the so called "purple promise" while the "dead wood" have been allowed to stay as long as they pleased and the same managers would not monitor them or do not see that they're "hudwinking" the...

For the third time I have ordered from a company who uses FedEx to deliver and I have had the same problem each time. I take the day off work to wait for the package, it never comes. I check the tracking number on the website and it says failed to deliver because business was closed or person did not answer. So call them up and they say no one answered when they buzzed the apartment. I never heard it, next day I wait again and hear nothing. Phone, same thing again, so I test the apartments buzzer, works perfectly. So each time I have had to take a cab across town ($33.45 there and $33.45 back) which defeats the purpose of getting it delivered. Not to mention FedEx has cost me over $190.00 in cab fees. AND they tell me it's my fault for not answering and I have 3 days to pick up my package or they send it back. Not using FedEx or any company that uses FedEx ever again.

another greedy, selfish loser
So my dog is thee friendliest, most happy dog I've ever had/known. This guy pulls up, and without honking, which they're supposed to do if they're to scared of a dog wagging his tail, walked right up to the door. My dog jumped up and gave him a little two inch scratch on his leg. My mom was sitting in our office in the front of the house and saw the whole thing. When she came out she asked if he was ok and he said yea just a scratch...or maybee his tooth caught my leg and he bit me. Which is a truly embarrassing lie for my dog would never bite. Now we get a letter in the mail from a local lawyer saying he's suing us for a serious dog bite. What a low life ###. These people deserve to get a broken nose and leg and arm and then see what a real injury feels like. Better yet let's have them meet our war veterans who have given there arms, legs, and lives to serve our country for us...and then see how bad a itty bitty scratch is. Wonder who the great men and women of the us military can sue for getting shot or blown up? Such a low life ###, punch yourself in the face.

not trustworthy
Beware of this Fedex facility, they lost my package or maybe stolen by their employee, I had called the FedEx rep to trace my package and was told someone would call me back for result but unfortunately no one called me back, because they don't want to be responsible for their mistake. Fedex had really bad reputation since the past years, stay away from...

This afternoon at 2:00 PM, coming in Fairfax County Parkway in Northern Virginia, truck 414925 was on my bumper. I was going 65 mph in a 50 mph zone. I pulled over and let him past and tried to catch up to him to get the truck number. I was going 80 mpg nd he was still going, I slowed down at that point. Very dangerous driving of that driver. Wanted to bring this to some ones attention. thank you
This is a complaint against a FedEx driver. At approximately 10:20 am the morning of Feb 13, 2014, I was eastbound on Chicago Avenue at Lessing Street in Chicago, IL. I saw the FedEx truck sitting at the corner of Lessing Street waiting for a break in the westbound and eastbound traffic. Without any warning, the FedEx driver jumped into traffic inches from my car causing me to stop in order to avoid hitting him. He blew his horn at me then jumped in front of my car, speeding to the next intersection at Green Street where he made a right turn. The license plate number was IL 350765. Very reckless behavior which could have caused a serious accident. He seemed to be tired of waiting for a break in the traffic so he just jumped in front of my car.
smartpost packages never arrive
I ordered something from amazon It was shipped by smartpost. But it never arrives. I waited and waited, thinking that fedex would deliver it in front of door or at least leave a tag. When I found it was delivered online, and there was nothing around, I contacted Fedex. They said they had delivered it to USPS. I went to USPS office, they said it had been delivered. I went back home, and waited and waited for one week. Nothing showed up. USPS called once, asking me to check around, even my neighbors. I don't want to judge that there might be potential thief around, because I saw too many complaints about Smartpost online. The USPS customer made me feel like I lied to them. And they confirmed that someone had left something in front of door. This is extremely funny, because USPS NEVER NEVER leave a item in front of my door. They only leave a tag, every time! And this item certainly can not fit into the parcel lock of my apartment. Another funny thing is: USPS asked me to check neighbors on other floors. Hah, imagine why they would take something that obviously does not belong to them!
Same experience happened on my wife. She waited for her online order from the Carter's. The order was delivered by Smartpost. For one week, the tracking system was always showing: arrived at XXX (her city). Until today, she saw online (delivered attempted, check local office). She and her roommate were at home the WHOLE DAY. There is NO TAG, NOTHING AROUND!
Anyone who has ever received a package delivered by Smartpost?
Please do not deliver anything using smartpost!

delivery
FEDEX is a poor excuse for a delivery service. They were supposed to deliver my package on Dec 21st (according to the website) well I tracked the package on Dec 21st only to see that they had changed the date to Dec 22, a saturday, and my office is closed on weekends. I then check on Monday and there is a delivery exception. I call them and they tell me that someone at my office told them that the office is closed on Monday... BULL! I work for a NATIONAL payroll company... we are NEVER closed on non holidays. I asked the person who did they speak to.. did they call and they said they didn't know... further lies. The package was a christmas present and because of FEDEX and their poor service I am now forced to try and find something to present to my child... I now understand why my company has severed all ties with fedex and uses UPS.
I had purchase some flowers to be delivered on February the 13th 2014. I put in the order on February 07, 2014. We had a snow storm; however it was clear on February the 14th which is Valentine's Day. I received a tracking number and on their site it said my package was in transit. I called at 8:00am they told me I would receive the package by 8:00pm. After time
went by about 8:15 I called they said that someone was in route and I would have the package in 15minutes.I waited until 9:15 pm, and when I called back they told me that the drivers went home for the day. I realize that it was a snow storm; however, the streets were clear all day with the sun out. I tell anyone if you want to deliver flowers or anything important think twice before using FedEx. They are a poor business when it comes to serving the customers, and they took advantage of the snow storm to "NOT" deliver when they could.
I have been waiting since Dec 21st. for Fedex to deliver my 8 year old daughter's Christmas gift that I ordered from ToysRUs. Fedex keeps telling me they can not deliver it due to the weather. They said they tried to delivery it ON Dec. 21st, Dec 22nd and Dec 23rd, Yes we had 15 inches of snow Dec. 18th 09 but my road and drive way was clear early Dec. 22, 09. Fedex also said they tried to deliver the item Dec. 24th at 2:18pm but no one was home THAT IS A LIE they DID NOT attempted to delivery it on Dec. 24th or any other day, we were home waitting for the package. in fact my husband was outside. He would have seen FEDEX. Fedex told me they will try to deliver the pacage Dec. 29th. after Christmas. So thanks to Fedex my little girl can't have her Christmas gift till after Christmas. I will never order anything from anyone again as long as they use Fedex for shipping. r0zab@hotmail.com
This company is nothing but a complete CF. Repeated calls to address a simple problem were met with indifference and ineptitude. Go with UPS or even the Postal Service but do your best to stay away from these clowns.
I paid almost 100.00 for 2 day shipping from FedEx. On 6-27-11 I place my package for shipment and naturally FedEx sat on it for 2 days then shipped the package on6-30-11. Then come 7-2-11 I checked on the package it arrived in Vandalia, Ohio at 6:38 am however, it is now Saturday and I didn't pay for Saturday delivery. Which makes no sense if I pay extra for 2 day delivery it should be 2 days; and last I knew Saturday was still a day. I contacted FedEx and asked if I could just come pick up the package myself. I was told they do not know where in the facility it was and did not have the manpower to track down the package. Which is an issue because isn't that kind of their job? On top of the fact that they had already listed my package on their site as being there so they had to know where it was by the shipping label which they used to list the package online as being at their facility! FedEx is the WORST! I will NEVER use their service again. They find new ways to charge people extra money to NOT do their jobs! I could have saved time and money by using the U.S. Postal Service and gotten my package 2 days ago when FedEx finally got around to actually shipping it. This is a CRAP company that I HOPE and PRAY goes under! They are USELESS, OVER PAID, INCOMPETENT, LAZY, CROOKS that are sponging off of all the people who have paid good money for a job they CAN NOT DO!
No one at this company told me I would have a time frame to pay me duty. Having paid the duty they have sent my roduct back to the USA. So £3300, and 4 months later I still have no product.
I have to sort the problem out myself and pay another delivery charge.
Im totally gutted and upset, and am telling everyone to use a different company there is enough out there.
:-(
Order from a online store which uses FedEx to deliver the package. I package required signature, I went home during lunch hour hoping I might be home in time for the delivery, well I luck out. I went back to work and got a notification on email about 2 hrs later there was an attempted delivery. I called fedex customer service and asked if I could pick up the package at their facility instead since they have a location near my work place. The customer service reply no, it's a ground home delivery, so I asked do you know when approximately will the delivery will happen tomorrow? CS reply no, since it's different everyday depends on how many delivery needs to be made that day. I said you don't let me pick up at you facility, you don't know what time it will get deliver, so you just want me to take a day off from work and sit at home all day to and watch for my delivery?! CS reply, I am sorry sir.
This is got to be the stupidest delivery system one can expect !
i totally agree with the person's issue about fed ex...i too, have had problems. the day they made a delivery that i needed to sign for, i was hoome and did not hear the door bell ring and i was sitting right next to the door bell! the bell was working. he left a notice that he would return 2 more times to attempt delivery. well, he did the next day and was met with a note on my door that i don't know what happened, but i was home and inside the house. i asked if he used the door bell, he said yes, then i waited awhile. i said if you did use it, and it was working, you must have pressed it in the wrong spot and it didn't activate. i told on the note that i was elderly and required some time to answer the door, as i was usually in the living room about 50 feet away, have a bad back and knees and i am slow, and that he would become elderly some day also. told him that he should have rang the bell more than once, and if he knocked, i cannot hear a knock as it is too far away from the door unless i'm standing in the same room as the door..you see they come to the breezeway door for deliveries. there is a note on the door bell that if they knock, it is useless and need to use the bell. well, he shoved the package at me and the thingy to sign and i think was pissed...and i really don't care! i mailed a letter to fed ex headquarters about the incident and aksed them to be a little more patient with elderly and slow persons.
Also, have had trouble with UPS as well. i cannot bend and pick up packages from the floor and asked them with a note on the door to place a package on either of the three tables or four chairs in the breezeway if this didn't cramp their style too much. but no, every damn time they just dump it on the floor. at times, if the package is too big/heavy i have had to call a neighbor to come pick it up off the floor...once it gets on the table, i can then cope with it. i mailed ups headquarters about this and they called and said they would rely the information about my physical limitations and declare my address as a disabled person and should obey my instructions. since my complaint, they have complied.
Also, one time the USPS lady carrier could not fit an oversize package/box in the mailbox at the curb, so did bring it up to the house. i happened to be i the room next to the breezeway at the time and saw her open the door...she took that package/box and literally threw it halfway across the breezeway area...i did not say anything to her, as felt she had not seen me watching, but man that kind of behavior sure ticked me off...and i just sstood there in shock and awe at what i had witnessed. it's a good thing the artcle in the box was not breakable or fragile, then she would have bene in a whole world of trouble with me, as i would have landed veyr hard on the postal service.
Too think of the salaries these people are making and for them to provide this kind of service is just unreal!
Just an update. Saturday morning my package was finally delivered (even though it wasn't supposed to be here til Tuesday). Even got an apology from the driver saying "I'm sure we messed up somewhere".
Sounds like my situation. Ashland has had my 8 year old's gift since the 21st . I understood for the first couple of days because of the roads. Wednesday showed out for delivery but it never made it. Supposedly put on the wrong truck. This morning again on the truck for delivery. Saw the driver for Fedex air 1 mile from my home. Fedex ground went by my home and still no delivery. Fed ex said they promised the package would be delivered, "Home Delivery is running on extended hours. Sorry no way to talk directly to the shipping location "but just wait." 7:30PM - can't deliver due to weather. There has been no weather and this package is sitting locked up less than 1 hour from my daughter. Also no delivery til Tuesday the 29th. My package will be sitting in the warehouse for over a week. Thanks alot.

non delivery
On dec. 14th at 11:29am I received a call from fedex stating that I would receive a delivery on dec.15th that had to be signed for by someone over twenty-one. I responded that I would stay home all day to sign for the package. I waited all day and called fedex twice in the early evening to make sure I would receive the package. Twice I was told it was on the truck and that it would be delivered by 8pm. At 7:21pm the driver entered in the computer that no one was home. Three people were sitting within five feet of the door plus four dogs. Their is no way that driver tried to deliver the package. I believe that the driver lied. If he got back to the west chesterfield location before 8pm (Which is over one hour from my home) he must have wings.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
FedEx claims they have delivered a 100lb box - dresser in a box that needs putting together - at my house today 2 minutes before noon. I was home - there was no truck and I am getting very little satisfaction from the the claims department at FedEx.
illegal use of usps mailbox
For several years I had a great Fedex delivery guy for my area. He knew all his customers and where best to leave packages safely. I asked the temporary new delivery person where he went and was told he was upset with Fedex and quit. I know the feeling. My house is situated on a lake with the mailbox 1/10 of a mile from the house on the roadside along with 9 other mailboxes. A couple of months ago I filed a case with USPS since myself and my neighbors have repeatedly had our mail stolen. Not really happy with USPS since their solution was to get a P.O. Box. My solution was to use Fedex for anything important. Yesterday I was home all day yet I went to the mailbox to find a Fedex door tag hung on the outside of my mailbox, inside was the Fedex envelope which contained a check from my company. I called Fedex explained the problem and I am still waiting to hear back. Fedex it is ILLEGAL for you to use a USPS mailbox! Companies are only as good as their employees. I suspect this employee was hired for less than my previous delivery guy and was simply too lazy to do his/her job of making deliveries. I will wait until tomorrow to hear back from Fedex and see what type of action they will take. Otherwise I will figure out who the proper authorities are to contact and let Fedex answer to them for their offense.
UPDATE FROM FEDEX EPISODE---I received a call from Barbara. She was very pleasant and apologized for what happened. Given the problem she will notify "management" and have them call me. I let them know that at least one other person has had their USPS mailbox used by Fedex which was posted on another sight.
Robert Lewis the manager from the local Georgia Fedex office then called to apologize and let me know a letter will go out to management and this will not happen again. His tone was short and business like, less friendly than Barbara. Understandable since he is aware that they can be sued by USPS. Really a letter will go out? I am not an attorney and I know you can’t use USPS boxes. What good is sending a letter stating not to do what you already know should not have been done? On my end, at the very least I think Fedex should have offered to refund my company the fee they charged for delivering the envelope. They made no offer. Made no attempt to ask how to make this right in my mind. If they would have asked I would have said, I want a different delivery person. SHAME ON YOU FEDEX. I asked Robert how they were going to resolve the issue with the driver. He said they would not discuss it. My opinion of Fedex. They were once a great company. Now they don't hire or train good employees and they don't care what their customers think. After seeing all the complaints posted it is apparent they don’t care.
I learned something new today. Not reporting a crime is called Misprision of felony. My luck I would be charged for not reporting a crime. I looked it up on the internet it exists. So for those of you with knowledge of Fedex using USPS mailboxes there is now an open case #ca [protected] filed with the postal inspector. This reminds of the final episode of Seinfeld.
Yes @Shtinkalikamouf, I suggest you make sure you understand the facts before you begin to make statements that are NOT true and start ranting for no reason. From the Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual, Section 3.1.3:
Except under 3.2.11, Newspaper Receptacle, the receptacles described in 3.1.1
may be used only for matter bearing postage. Other than as permitted by 3.2.10,
Delivery of Unstamped Newspapers, or 3.2.11, no part of a mail receptacle may be
used to deliver any matter not bearing postage, including items or matter placed
upon, supported by, attached to, hung from, or inserted into a mail receptacle. Any
mailable matter not bearing postage and found as described above is subject to the
same postage as would be paid if it were carried by mail.
Actually...it is NOT illegal to place something in your mailbox...Does the USPS OWN YOUR MAILBOX? Correct, YOU do...Should it get damaged, who pays for the replacement...that's right...YOU DO! Learn your facts holmes!
wrong, wrong, wrong. See: https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/USPS-Removes-Package-from-Womans-Mailbox-Charges-Fee-To-Get-it-Back-398479491.html
missing package
i was waiting for two packages from different companies both delivering with FEDEX.
when the driver came i took a small package witch was some cooking utensils signed for it and carry on waiting for the other package, a play station.in the evening frustrated that the play station was not here and was next day delivery i tracked the parcel, only to see that it has been delivered and sign for by me.quickly tracked the other parcel that i received and it was showing that is not even at the local depot. called FedEx only too find out that the parcel that i actually received in my hands was missing, and that the play station was delivered (not). after many calls and investigations i took a closer look at the package from FedEx only to realize that there are two labels on the parcel.one on top of the other one.
the play station tracking number was on top.the one for the utensils was well hidden underneath.so of course i signed for my play station...since that was the label that the driver scanned.so now the utensils are in my hand but in FedEx system are missing and the play station is nowhere to be found but in they system i signed for it.
please if anyone knows here i should go from here help me please!

Fedex home delivery is not only awful, but ridiculuous and unacceptable. This happened twice already and despite my calls to the customer service (Which were of course nice and courteous) their hired driver is probably the laziest of all! He said he rang my bell and I was right here at home waiting! No one rang my bell! He lied! Did he actually come and tried to deliver? You would question this! I am very very angry and upset. I got a call from them that he will try to come back in the afternoon and that means I will wait for the worst delivery service ever again! I hope those companies who send their products online will not use fedex anymore really really disappoints in all aspects of customer service!

damaged delivery
FEDEX has NO customer service. The FEDEX website allows customers to find out how to do business with them, but they do nothing to receive or respond to complaints. Example: I put official government documents into a FEDEX Letter for fast, reliable delivery...HA! HA! I placed the envelop into a FEDEX box feeling that I was doing business with reputable organization...HA! HA! The recipient contacted me asking why the FEDEX Letter had been repackaged and the documents were water damaged? I tracked the letter, but there was no indication that that the FEDEX Letter had been repackaged. I found a way to send an email to FEDEX related to delivery, but no way to file a complaint. I received three emails all telling me that my issue was being forwarded to the person who could best handle my issue...then nothing. There was no way to reply to the email...no one who took responsibility...no telephone number to call (except to ask about delivery...automated asking for the tracking number and telling me that it had been delivered). I will NEVER do business with FEDEX again. I paid $50 to have water damaged documents delivered with no accountability for damaged delivery. I had to resend the documents since the agency couldn't use the water damaged documents.

air freight charge too high
We had some business with Korea. We ask them to send some aluminum tanks to us.
1st time, we used UPS, it cost 1200USD for 4 tanks.
2nd time, we send back 3 tanks (unfinished one) to Korea by UPS, it takes around 1, 300 USD.
3rd time, we request Korea side to send that same 3 tanks that we sent back (completed ones) to us, we provide UPS and FedEx account.
All tanks hase same size. 2nd and 3rd time, we used same box for shipping.
The Korea company this time used FedEx, and we agreed to pay at our side.
When we got invoice, it was 7, 300 USD. I could not believe my eye. What is FedEx business here?
It is my fault that I did not check their rate, quote. But I think it's very un-reasonable price here.
Any one have any idea what should we do to get better price? Thank you very much.
*** My lessons: Never use FedEx international service, UPS is much much better.

reliability
Approximately 2 years ago, the reliability of Fedex has declined precipitously and is now to the point of ridiculous. You are lucky if you receive a package on time 50% of the time. They give one excuse after another...weather problems, plane problems, mis-routed, mis-sorted, etc. You will get a different excuse each time you call. UPS and the usps are providing far better service and reliability now than Fedex is. Fedex used to be the best courier service...now it is the worst. I know vendors who have stopped using them as shippers due to their increasing unreliability...and hope that soon, the usps and UPS will knock them off the pedestal they no longer deserve or merit. In fact, if the usps is smart, they will jump right into this huge opening the Fedex is providing right now and replace them as better courier. The usps needs the business and this would be the time to take advantage of the failings of Fedex that have just continued to increase the past 2 years or so. Shame on Fedex. Hope you go down.
