child care unacceptable
Nothing really bad happened to my kids, but the environment they have currently is waiting for a disaster. A couple of weeks ago when we were picking our kids up, a toddler snuck out of the room. I thought that her mom was right behind us, but it wasn't her, we brought her back in and were pretty loud about the fact that a kid had just gotten out, and the girl in charge didn't pay attention at all. It happened again a few minutes later, but the girl was still not paying attention. She just continued to put toys away and pretty much ignore what was happening around her. Then yesterday, when I was dropping my kids off, there was a toddler sitting on top of the desk, and another toddler climbing up on the chair to join the other kid on the desk. In addition, one of the older kids was chasing around a younger kid with a toy (one of those things that is supposed to be kind of like a vacuum with balls and one end and a long handle to hold onto) like he was going to hit the other kid, kids were running around crazy, and again, the girl is doing nothing. I was hesitant to even leave my kids at that time, but they were really excited because their good friend was there, so I decided to just leave it. Then when we were picking our kids up, the girl was complaining about how awful the kids were because they were all being crazy, throwing toys, etc... but that doesn't shock me at all because it didn't appear that she EVER even told any kids to stop what they were doing. Anyway, I think it's particularly unsafe if you have younger children. Mine are 4, 5, and 7, so I know they are more than likely okay as long as no one is hitting, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if kids WERE hitting. Anyway, so I just don't feel safe, and I REALLY wouldn't feel safe if my kids were little. Also, just so you know, they are not good with their ratios. They often have WAY more kids in that room with only one adult. Also, the other Fitness 19s I've been too have not been like this. They are run much better.

Was not told that personal training was an ongoing monthly thing. What I signed up for was eight sessions so I thought . I wasn't told it was monthly fee of 245 that continues I didn't know I had more sessions wasn't told by anyone. Now I have all these sessions that I wouldn't have minded using but I had to move a month later before I found out I had over 20 sessions and the nearest fitness 19 to me now is twenty minutes away. I have no choice but to donate the sessions and lose money because no refunds. And they asked me who signed me up and I told them and the person helping me just said oh yea we've had complaints about him not being clear ... and I can't use the sessions anywhere else and not worth driving over an hour to where I used to live to use them.. this has me stressed and disappointed. Don't trust this gym. And once I did cancel I still got charged the last thirty days but it's like I'm already moving and I can't use these sessions !
refusing refund for trainer charges
The manager, Stephen charged me trainer charges of $200 in spite of my asking them to cancel auto debit. He said you have to sign something to cancel auto debit which he had not mentioned previously. I left the club and asked for a refund but they refused to refund me the money. I have been trying for several months now. Whenever I call he pretends to look into it. I threatened to go to small claims court but still haven't had much traction, this is ridiculous.

On August 27, 2018 at Fitness 19 located at, 10624 S Eastern Ave, Henderson, NV 89052 where I have been a client for approximately 10 years, membership #13977 I tried to add my husband to take over my daughter's membership and I was told that it would not be possible since his information was already in the system. I was forced to add him to the more expensive membership that replaced my sister's membership, Maria's. Although it is only a couple of dollars difference, the manager, Carlos Williams, stated" I know what you're asking me to do but I can't give you the better deal", then he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. All I am asking is to keep 2 memberships active, mine and the add-on at the lifetime special $5.00. There was not an extended courtesy for being a loyal member. I was highly disappointed and I am considering canceling all memberships if at this time.

Hi! My name is Sarah Sunshine (Member # [protected] in Chatsworth 91311) and I've been with your Fitness 19 Chatsworth branch since the moment it opened this last fall. The Saturday 9am spin class is chaos. There's too many of us who want to spin at the same time with the favored instructor RICHARD. I have taken it upon myself to create a petition so that the members can join voices and let management know there are more than enough people who want to spin with Richard on Saturday morning, PLEASE add an additional RICHARD class at 7am or 7:30am. I tried to approach the manager yesterday morning around 8:50am (Monday) and while seeing the petition in my hand, he rudely told me that he "has no time for you right now". There was no one in the lobby and he was not on the phone. He was socializing with a fellow employee behind the front desk while sitting at the computer. Without knowing what I wanted to discuss or talk about, when I asked to speak to the main manager he told me he was it and that he's "really busy working on something and I don't-have-time-for-you-right-now". He relayed this statement in an abrupt harsh tone. I found him very rude & extremely unprofessional. He made me feel like maybe I don't belong at Fitness 19 Chatsworth and that I might be better off joining a different spin studio.
I would like to voice my concern for the demeaning way the manager Kenny McQueen treated me. It would be advantageous to Fitness 19 Chatsworth if he took a course in Leadership or perhaps be replaced with a seasoned manager who has great people skills.
I would also like to speak with his district manager or whomever is his boss, I hear his boss's name is Aaron. Might it be possible for you to help me locate Aaron of Fitness 19 Chatsworth? Is there any main CEO out there or District Manager who truly cares about the integrity of Fitness 19 as a whole? I'd like to speak with someone who cares about good customer service and who values the members of this gym.
My only goal with creating the petition is to help my fellow spinners be able to enjoy a class with Richard on Saturday mornings because offering just one class at 9am isn't enough. I started this petition this past Saturday morning Aug 18th and already have 89 signatures. Once I obtain 200 signatures would like to mail the petition and a letter to Aaron of Fitness 19 Chatsworth to speak with him directly on behalf of our spinning community and how our needs are not being met. The spinners of Fitness 19 Chatsworth have been told for months that they are going to add an additional RICHARD class early Saturday morning and nothing has come of it. We are tired of having to arrive over an hour early just to get a bike. Plainly, there's just too many people who want to spin with RICHARD on Saturday mornings, if an additional class was added it would be a profound service to many. membership fees/back payments
I cancelled my membership YEARS ago and my bank continues to get fees taken out that I have not authorized. I know I owed back payment but have never seen or Heard how much, I just get 10-15 dollars taken out here and there. There is no corporate email or phone number on their website to respond too and get this figured out!
I attempted to call the local phone number but there was no answer.

customer treatment
I've been going to the gym after work for the last five months, I joined the Redlands club because that is where I live. My job takes me to Sylmar, so I added it to my Fitness membership. The entire time I've been going to Sylmar, I go after work and depending on my job assignment, I may have work debris on me.
Today, 8/9/18, in the middle of my workout (a half an hour in to it) I was told by the manager that I had to leave. She had not noticed me before, but I was to dirty to be there. Which is ironic because when she's not to busy talking to her male staff or on her phone, she occasionally acknowledges me and says hi to me. This is all on the video that you tape at your locations. I've seen homeless people in Fitness 19 - Sylmar and they are not bothered.
I agree that I should be changing in to workout clothes, but the gym is always a mess and I rarely see the staff cleaning the machines or vacuuming, or doing any maintenance in the gym. The drinking fountain has been pour out warm water for the last 2.5 months. The refrigeration is broken, it's not making cold water, and she still hasn't had it fixed. Who wants to drink warm water on a scorching day after a workout? Not me.
Check the video and you will see all staff sitting by the computer, including your manager while the whole place goes to pot. At the Redlands site the staff is always cleaning the machines and vacuuming the floor, maintaining a healthy workout environment.

I have been a member for more than a year and in that year things have gone downhill. First thing I noticed is that some of the yoga instructors leave a lot to be desired. One of them named Carrie does not even know how to show the correct alignment of the poses. I started yoga at the age of 17, and have a lot of professional training in body disciplines, so now at the age of 68 alignment is very important as well as a good, planned, and structured class. Two teachers who I consider to be aware of correctly done postures is Gina and Zorayda. Cleanliness is also lacking. I started noticing a filthy a/c vent in the studio about 8 months ago which I brought to the attention of the manager Devon. She did nothing except make excuses. I was sick and not able to go to the gym for about a month and when I returned the vent was almost completely clogged with a disgusting gunk (Which I'm sure affected the efficient operation of the a/c and operating costs not to mention possible health issues.) A month ago I mentioned it again at least 4 different times and again Devon gave me some more bs excuses, and nothing was done. I called the Health Dept. and low and behold it was cleaned within two days. Not a good way to run a service oriented business. It also seems that they never clean the floor in the studio since I have seen the same large clumps of hair for weeks. I would hate to use their mats which don't look very clean (I use my own). Today after the regular yoga class I stayed to do some more on my own. Devon came in and turned on all the lights which are usually off for class (except for a couple emergency lights) which I found disruptive to someone quietly doing yoga alone.
Devon told me that the "owner" wanted them all on when there is no class. Blaming the owner is her go to excuse. There's no need for this, its not a safety hazard since classes are given with lights out, I find it to be petty, but its the owners fault. She even told me that if I didn't like it there I could go elsewhere. I do commend Angela and Samantha who are at the front desk they are very helpful. I do hope that management will start listening to the feedback that clients give them instead of only providing lip service or blaming the owner. Who manages the managers?

plumbing problems!!!
First of all, I absolutely love Fitness 19 in Newbury Park in every way accept for one glaring problem that they need to fix ASAP... the manager is terrible when it comes to plumbing problems. Whenever a toilet or shower go out it takes at least a week to fix it. There are an abundance of 24 hour plumbers out there and toilets and showers are not complex inventions. A contractor should be called in the as soon as a problem happens. They tend to wait for a maintenance man to check into it, then wait for the manager to check into it, then if that all fails a contractor will be scheduled. In the meantime, we go a week without hot water. Easy fix... make it your policy to call in a pro the moment something goes out.
over charge for membership
Tim Michael and Taylor has been harassing me actually since Dec of 2017 but I agreed to a special then they overcharged me and then promised to refund me the money and never did. then they again began contacting me. I have asked numerous time by messages to stop contacting me and they refused to. Now they inadvertently debited my account for random amounts and I then went in to officially cancel in person. the form given was scratched out and written in red pen of the typed original form. (suspicious) Then I find out 2 days later that Tim went in and charged my account again that afternoon with an ACH debit for 10.83. I see the shady practices occurring with this gym and some sort of reprimanded resolution needs to occur. If a person asks repeatedly to stop contacting them it should be taken into account and if there's a balance then send it to collections. I don't appreciate their aggressive tactics and inability to be totally honest with their members.
Hey if you still have problems with them . file a complaint to the Texas attorney general . I wish I would have read reviews about this franchise before signing up . It seems multiple people around the nation are having this type of issue . I myself feel like I will have that problem because I have already experienced shady tactics with them . I canceled my membership oct 2016. I am still receiving emails that I owe money. I want this fixed I dont go to the gym because I moved outta state. This is getting frustrating that I call all the time and send emails and it still isn't fixed. I think fitness 19 has the worst customer service when people cancel their membership. 1st complaint- I only signed up for two months of personal training and come to find out Ryder failed to tell me he signed me up to withdraw $134 a month, every month and didn't tell me I needed to give a 30 day notice to cancel my personal training. I only wanted 2 months due to I'm moving out of state.
2nd complaint.
Fitness 19 withdrew 2 payments of $134 each out of my account for this month of June without my consent. I went in to speak with the manager about this because now I'm going to be short this month and unable to pay my cell phone bill, which, I need because I'm a full time Lyft driver. I was told a manger will get back to me the next day and Ryder not Reid has called me to resolve this issue. I need this resolved asap. The front desk staff, Brandon told me he didn't know corporate phone number when I asked for it, so I could try to speak to upper management. Can someone help me with this asap! Thank you
schedule change impacting silver sneakers classes at fitness 19 temecula parkway
It was announced in our Silver Sneakers class today that the start time for Silver Sneakers classes was being moved from 11 am and 12 pm to 6 am starting July 1, 2018.
The reason given was that the club wished to maximize its membership and income by making classes available to young mothers who wished to attend classes during that time period.
We were told that there was no individual that we could petition to either keep the current start time or look for a later start time like 2 or 3 pm when these young mothers would be busy picking their children up from school.
A 6 am start time for Silver Sneakers classes is unreasonable for many seniors who have medication schedules that have to be adhered to or who are reliant on care givers for assistance in getting to class. Moving the classes to a 6 am start time will make it impossible for many to attend class.
I will be sending this complaint to Silver Sneakers as well so that they can be aware of the lack of compassion shown by this club for its seniors.

I was a member of Sports center at 31199 Mission blvd Hayward Ca, on 2/21/2018 I cancelled my membership, Sports center continue to withdrew money for membership and then closed down so I thought they would stop withdrawing funds. Then Fitness 19 started withdrawing funds and now they sent it to collections when I believe they owe me money

I canceled my membership in June 11 witch was only 2 or 3 days after I got it and I was still charged for it but the faculty there didn't even explain this to me when I was there.i was told it was voided and that I wouldn't be charged. It's not my fault and I called and they said it was on the contract if such important piece of information was ignored and wasn't given to me while I was there then I don't think the workers there are doing there job right the fitness 19 I went to is in maywood and the person who attended me is Wendy I guess you guys want to make money no matter the cost.she didn't even tell me I can still come and I don't even have the card to be able to go I seriously hope later in the future they do their job right in explaining this to other people you all suck and just take money

I've been paying on my membership for nearly 2 yrs without even going, but I did because eventually I felt I would use it. For months they've been advertising $5 a month.. So I asked to be reduced to that price. They responded, that in order for me to be reduced I will have to pay an additional $60.. And to cancel I will have to pay $41. This gym doesn't even motivate you. Half of the staff is overweight and very rude... I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED
I cancelled months ago / charging me for random people
They will not let you cancel you can call a million time and nothing will be done! I went in to cancel and 4 months later I have been charged $500.00 so far and on top of that I'm being charged for 2 other people that I never gave I authorization to be charge for which break two federal acts. I know so many people that have the same problem with this gym we need a class action lawsuits!
