I booked a flight on FlightHub on Sep 28, 2023 at 10:51am. 3hrs later the e-ticket has not arrived and ticket status was still "In Progress...". When speaking with customer service for flighthub I was informed I have not paid the taxes for the flight and needed to pay additional $289 in taxes. I asked to speak to a supervisor, because this sounded like a scam to me. When asked to refund the ticket I was told they can only refund 75% of the ticket. I would lose $500. After speaking to supervisor lady, she informed me that they will make an exception and I can proceed with the flight as is, ticket will be sent within few hours to 24hrs. Mind you the flight is in 30hrs from this conversation. I informed the supervisor that no she is not doing me any exceptions/favors, I have looked at the ticket and it clearly states "taxes included". I am convinced these people are scamming customers by making them pay additional funds and calling them taxes. The supervisor told me that I did not check mark a spot where it says to add the taxes. I asked her how can I buy a ticket without paying taxes. She stated some people do not have money to pay everything online and pay the rest over the phone by calling them as I am doing right now. Total bs/ nonsense and scam. Eventually she could not answer my questions and hung up on me. When I called back and asked for supervisors name I was told her name was Alena, which I am sure is not the name she gave me at the beginning of the call.
Terrible company to book with. Customer service personal should be prosecuted for fraud.
I am certain the e-ticket is not gonna arrive in time.. we will see.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and compensation of $289 for my time wasted on the phone with these people that were trying to scam me.
