power
We have been out of power since 9/[protected]@2:30pm. We saw an FP&L truck on the 12th and by the next day the other end of my block had power. What about this end?
Every time we call which is every day we get the same recording. POWER will be restored by the 22nd. I can't wait that long! My husband has sleep apnea and uses a c pap machine to breath at night. He hasn't been able to use it for 9 nights now.
I can see what the problem is. There is a pepper tree growing over and around the transformer and that's why it blew so early on the 10th (day of the storm). We were told that a tree service would have to come and remove the tree, but who does That? I haven't seen any kind of tree workers anywhere in my neighborhood. Thank goodness that the storm wasn't worse.
still no power
We have been without power since 9 days ago. Supposed to be tonight by 11:45pm after yesterday did not happen. We r losing business and wages and have health conditions which can cause crisis . All the bonuses given to corporate is disgraceful while fighting regulations after promising to improve since Wilma! This is disgraceful. We r waiting for 11:45pm and hoping but not confident. Fpl should be fined for this. They just lied and lied all the way to the lining of their own pockets.
Frustrated disappointing and displaced. Refugee status. So upset. We need restitution. Please get power on tonight.
no power for 9 days
I am 36 weeks pregnant and I have gotten nothing but the run around since my power went out.. I get ticket number after ticket number and nothing is being done.. The last ticket # was 2570 which said would be resolve by 9/18 at 11:45 pm.. But that seems to be untrue as wel.. This is so sadd because i'm very afraid I will go onto labor and have no electricity when I get home with my new born
power
After the hurricane Irma hit Miami we lost power last Sunday 10th of September and the power has restored today Tuesday 19th.
In the meantime we didn't receive any kind of support, update, messages, information.
We tryed to be updated Throughout the fpl website and every day they postpones the day of the restored. We had 89 degrees inside the home and almost 20 families were in the same situation in a community in the it's of Doral.
We spent 9 days without power and power his is not acceptable, especially when you can verify that on the monthly bill we paying an extra amount to cover natural disasters.
FPL was not ready and not prepared to approach the problem nonetheless were many years that nothing happened.
Thank you
Francesco M.
no power
We have not had power in 9 days. We are sweltering and FPL has done nothing. A worker on the street yesterday said there's a line down, but no one has come to repair. He was working on something unrelated. He was the first FPL truck we saw in our entire area. We cannot get a human being on the phone. Had to throw out all our refrigerator contents because no stores had ice. My husband and I are senior citizens. He is a veteran of combat and has cancer from Agent Orange. We need electricity. It is disgusting how badly FPL has handled their response to Hurricane Irma and their horrible lack of responsiveness to their customers.
Sorry to hear about your situation and thank you for your services. Honestly FPL can careless about all these postings. No one gets any response to the write up. The committed live on television to have everyone restored by Sunday. They moved the date until Midnight on Tuesday, but we all know that the commitment was already broken. This is a great way to vent and release stress caused in every household. They advertise that 22.000 workers are out getting people restored and that only between 2 to 5 % of people still don't have power. Someone needs to do the math here or they are just feeding us BS because the will not make this deadline. This is the worst electric company in North America. The CEO should consider another line of duty. He and his entire family never lost power and where restored within hours. This came from an employee of FPL. Media as always is no help by saying that they are working hard to restore everyone. They should comment on why it's taking so long ..
service
Day9 still without power reported a down power line somebody in the streets and made a cardboard sign to caution passers by, yes we called it in the day it went down and every day ever since alas no FPL we saw first fpl truck seven days after the storm and that was turning 95 to head north you truly have to wonder if had been more than a category 1 how would FPL have managed.
The sad part is we know what is going to happen in three months time they'll be lots of our adds on TV with happy smiling FPL customers and they will be telling us what a wonderful job they did and then three months after that they'll be applying to to Florida to impose a surcharge and that's the sad part the client who has no other choice are the ones who pay for the shoddy Poor Service. And nodoubt the directors will be awarding super large bonuses for all that hard work. Shame on FPL the only way to stop this way of service is to have smaller more regionional sservice providers who are mor accountable
restore power
It is simple. We are all faced when only one company is allowed to run business and their is no competition. I like many of you have seen many employees from FPL milking this for their benefit. I watched 2 truck and 4 employees work on a line for one hour and sleep in the trucks for 6 hours with headsets on. Once asked if they would be moving to the next location, they responded that they are on break and going to dinner before heading home. This isn't what FPL committed to having everyone up by last Sunday. I have seen 5 trucks working on 1 line for 12 hours. I am an electrician and can't understand how disorganized FPL is to allow this behaviors. Including the top people within the company. This is a perfect example of poor customer service and leadership.
power outage
It's been exactly 8 days since we lost power die to Hurricane Irma! I have a asthmatic daughter and have racked up several expenses in hotel stays for my family of 7due to this matter. We were told our power will be restored on 09/17/2017 by 11:45 p.m. It's now midnight and we're still without power! Now the automated system is advising FPL does not have a estimate time as to when the power will be restored! Now I'm trying to figure out where the hell my 5 kids and I are going to go for the night, as I have ran outnof money!
outage
Power out in 40 apartments in senior living facility whose residents are between 80 and 102 years old. Have not even been able to talk lto anyone for 8 days...since hurricane Irma. This facility should have had priority considering the age of its residents. Disgraceful! We have put in new tickets everyday and when we went on FPL website it kept saying power restored. Haven't been able to talk to a person . Perhaps that is why 8 elderly people died in the nursing home. The facility is 5 Star Premier Residences of Boca Raton
full electricity
I understand there's a lot of work to be done but me and my kids have been without lights for 10 days someone walk behind my house and never returned I still don't have any power in my home every time I call they keep saying 11:45pm seriously my kids have school tomorrow morning everyone around me has power I don't appreciate the so called progress y'all call yourself having but me and my kids are sick of sitting and waiting your whole company needs to do better this is despicable service
fpl has not attempted to repair power
On 9/10/17 a power outage ticket was created. There has been no progress on the ticket until today 9/17/17 when the tree contractors removed the tree that was hanging over the road by the FPL power lines only 8 feet off the ground and was the only access for the residents. As confirmed by FPLs own customer service representative no FPL repairs have been attempted since Thursday 9/14/17. It has been 7 days without power and initially i was told that power would be on my 9/17/17 and now im being told 9/19/17. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Your so called "emergency assessment team" needs more training or totally replaced. It is apparent that FPL only cares about its shareholders and its public image. I don't expect any replies because your company can not be trusted.
racial discrimination driving storm repair allocation
We will certainly demand a reckoning when the dust has settled from this disaster. Many of us will want to know why neighborhoods with people of color are among the last to see service restored. My North Miami neighborhood was neat as a pin compared to Biscayne Park to the south where mature trees were down everywhere. But the white folk in Biscayne Park got service restored Friday. We haven't even seen an FPL crew in our neighborhood. The hurricane was a threat we faced equally. FPL has shown that some pigs are more equal than others.
fpl lights restoration
Hello in my neighborhood we been 9 days without lights i am pregnant in i have a daughter enough about me others in my neighborhood or elders barley breathe in we been in the heat tbis long others in the neighborhood have lights but us in its a shame we near the hospital i bedn calling cant get to no one at all i pay my lights on time everytime to be burning up i lost all my food this driving me crazy i see fpl trunks just riding around this is a life in death situation i had a stroke before in i dont want to have another one i spend so long in tjid heat i am fed up yall got all these works for what not barley doing nun i dont care about the trees fix my lights how long yall taking should have just leg irma knock it out if its gone take that long this is crazy first yall said by Sunday now Monday whats next Tuesday i see more tree trucks working then fpl yall need to do better almost two weeks without power for what irma didnt knock or damage nothing.
fpl outage due to no maintenance and no repairs after hurricane irma
After Hurricane Irma we lost power. A FPL truck was standing for hours on our street and did nothing. When approached and questioned, the driver said he can't do anything until the tree is cut down. All neighbors came to cut the tree. Then some contractor was standing a whole day on our street and did absolutely nothing and left when was dark. I came to conclusion that no periodic proper maintenance was done such as trimming the trees. If the maintenance was done we would not have these issues. The workers either dont care or are not skilled to do the job. The contractor are stretching the time to win some more money or they just dont understand nor care about.our pain. FPL saved on regular periodic maintenance which is long overdue and is using federal money (our money we pay via taxes) to resolve the outage. Why aren't they using the money they have in their budgets? Didn't they increase the electricity price after Hurricane Elma justifying with better preparedness for such events? I assume FPL has our money and is using federal money to cover the outage expense.
Long story short, we dont have power for over a week now, and I don't see any progress. It's impossible to get someone on the phone when calling FPL. The neighbors have kids who need daily attention and not having power makes it difficult. We have to eat outside because we cant cook on our electric stove. Our expenses went up to the point where we cant cover it. We are left alone and dont feel protected. FPL doesnt care about us. It's the only company that provides electricity, and we cant switch to another. There's no healthy competition in the market to make FPL care about customers satisfaction.
power restoration
We were notified that power was restored to our house. We do not have power. We are located next door from your winkler& Summerlin Sub station. The rest of our community has power but not Thornwood Drive in Avalon Preserve. Two FPL employees came by 5 days ago, we haven't even seen a truck except for those at the sub station. We all know you are busy but this is only yards from your station. Please help!
fpl "electricity"
Due to Hurricane IRMA I knew North Miami was facing a power outage however I didnt think it would take more then five days with out power. I am not sure how FPL works but they should've been prepared knowing Florida is in Hurricane season... tree's should have been trimmed and old wires should've been fixed. Its been over a week for me and still no electricity; I live on NE 145th street 8th avenue and down the street has power; accross the street from me has power and 144th street has power so my question is what is going on? I called I spoke to a supervisor and the estimated wait time was set for Sunday the 17th around 11:45pm (still we wait) now when I view the update on the website it states Monday the 18th... FPL displays no urgency due to the fact they have to competition; they don't care; if accross the street from me have power, down the street and behind me have power then there's no excuses why I don't. FPL you disappoint me every time...
Ps. It's being said FPL usually takes care of the upper class 1st and minorities last.
power outage not related to irma
3 weeks ago the power went out in the Plantation Grove mobile park in Bradenton, FL 34203.They fixed it temporarily .then it went out again 5 days before Irma hit.the entire park now has power for last 3 days except for the same small number of homes. We were told it would be on 2 days ago, then it would be on yesterday but it isn't storm related. Then it would be on tonight by 11:45pm.Now I'm told they can't give an estimate. We are senior citizens and the heat is causing not just Me, but many others, health problems.A woman was taken out by ambulance yesterday from heat exhaustion. As a paying customer we demand you stay on this problem until fixed!
power outage and promises
Why promise what people from here to New Zealand know can't be delivered? The FPL force acquired a great deal of outside help to assist which means they could direct their attention and expertise in a more localized setting...right. The rest of Little Havana but the one or two blocks with elderly communities are powerless in a sea of lights due to surrounding neighborhoods with power, ac, ability to store foods, etc. Representatives have driven around a number of times, slowed down to look at the property, and continued driving. People are moving out due to FPL!
hurricane irma/ no power
After 7 days without power your guys came by, butchered my freaking trees, left my gate open and my electricity is still not fully up.. now we have to tear down all of our trees! If your going to send someone make sure they know what the freaking doing, now we have to wait again for some idiot to come out to get full power. You would think after they butchered my freaking trees that they would see that they didn't fix the drop line on the freaking pole! At least clean up after the mess you made on top of it all. Thanks for nothing.
service restoration
I have been without service since irma was coming a total of 7days
Today I go online at my account and it shows
"service restored". And im still without power at home
Amazing! You have told us that betwen employees and contractors there was a 22, 000 tech's to get the power restored first ends day sunday, now radio stations fpl representatives are saying by tuesday
This morning sept 16th at 9am a bunch of trucks showed up a block away from my home all they did was repaired a couple of down wires and thats it. They took off at 12 noon
While part of my neighbors got their power already on my block still down that doesnt make no sense.
What kind of company does this to their customers
I have never been late on my payments
But what hurts the must is the bunch of lies you al got up and said on t. V prior to storm arriving
Talk about being prepared
7 days folks what a nice 72 hours that was
Thank you!
