My husband and I went to the Stoneham location last night 11/26/17. We go to this restaurant a lot once or twice a month. When we got to the restaurant at 9:40 the door was locked and the chairs were up on the table. We pulled on the door and it was locked. We looked at the sign on the door and it said that they close at 10:00 on Sunday. So I tried I knocked on the window to get someone's attention. They looked at us and turned around To Ignoring us they should have come to the door and apologize for closeling early.
I have to agree! Anyone that goes to a restaurant 20 minutes before closing and has the audacity to knock on the window, deserves to get their food spit on...haha;))
They may have been short-staffed or had an emergency that required them to close sooner. Closing twenty minutes before advertised however is barely early.
No., They don't need to do anything. Maybe if you would have gotten to the restaurant an hour or so BEFORE closing time and not TWENTY MINUTES prior, you would have probably got serviced. Instead, you wanted to be rude and show up twenty minutes before closing. Then you have the nerve to complain about it. They should be complaining about you! You have no regard for other people! You and your husband are just a selfish!
pumpkin ice cream
When I purchase ice cream I expect the name to exemplify the taste. When I opened the container I expected the ice cream to actually look and taste like pumpkin. It looked and tasted more like French vanilla. Lot number of item [protected]. It would have been nice to have more pumpkin flavor to it. Didn't even look like there was any pumpkin in it, even though it was listed as an ingredient, it was one of the last listed. What a disappointment!
Friendly's ice cream has a reputation of being an excellent ice cream. This flavor fell way short. If I had wanted vanilla ice cream I would have purchased it.

My husband and I visit the Friendlys in North Haven frequently. Unfortunately, it has gone increasingly down hill over the last year. It is sad to see since we do love the food and ice cream. Our complaints have always been about service. The last time we were there will sadly be the last time. I was absolutely disgusted with the way the staff was being talked to by management. I am not sure if he was a visiting manager or just new but I had never seen him before. He was very disrespectful to staff and loud enough to make me very uncomfortable. I have been in the restaurant business my entire life and have learned over the years you need to pick your battles and you get more flies with honey. But most of all the guest should never see or hear your store issues and have to listen to a conflict while spending money in your establishment. I have watched many of your restaurants close over the recent years and never understood why until my last visit. Sadly we will be finding a new regular spot. Please teach your managers that the guest does not want to hear the problems and listen to the disrespectful language while they are trying to enjoy a nice meal.

Bought a half gallon of Friendlys Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. It was essentially plain mint, there were virtually no chocolate chips in it, about one chip every other scoop. The minty flavor is good but without the chips it is not the same. Very baffling quality control issue. I never had that with ANY other brand.
Stopped buying Friendlys after experiencing first hand how badly they treat their employees. Twenty years later I give them second chance and then this. Weird

I went to the ludlow, ma location after a trip to a local farm. Truth be told I was sick of friendlys years ago but my daughter and niece still love it. My mother had a coupon for free kids meal for EACH purchase of an adult entree. I have never had a problem using this coupon at another location. I always present coupons and did so with our waitress destiny. She said it would be no problem using the coupon. When I verified that I would get two kids meals for free after I purchased to adult entrees she said yes it wouldn't be an issue...oh but it was. When it came time to pay I gave her the coupon and she asked if I had a second which I did not. I told her that the coupon states I would receive a free kids meal for EACH purchase of an adult entree. I bought 2 adult entrees I get two kids meals for free. The waitress proceeded to raise her voice and tell me that I was wrong. I told her to read it. She didn't bother to do that SO I asked for the manager...come to find out he was standing behind me the whole time and never said a word or interuppted his rude employee. After I asked him to come over he looked at the coupon and then proceeded to say that he would have to check with his general manager...I have never heard of a manager that wasn't capable of making such a simple decision. Eventually he came back half way through the restaurant and said he would use the coupon as it says. When Destiny finally came back over she said that they only way to do it was to split the checks and use the bogo twice. Essentially charging my card twice. I was annoyed with this but didn't argue because I was ready to leave this horrible establishment. The food was barely hot. My nieces Apples came out from the kitchen brown and the ice cream was presented in to go cups like requested. Overall the horrible service that I received was the icing on the cake for me. Corporate shouldn't put out coupons without training obviously and the restaurant staff needs to learn not to be respectful of customers. I can see why the friendly's brand is really suffering if this is what it's like to visit this establishment.

I represent an agency that provides individuals with supportive services. A group of 8 including staff and clients were having dinner at Friendly's. I know that a party of 8 can sometimes be difficult to tend to when you have several orders and individual checks, our waitress Kim was very patient and provided good service to the clients. The manager, GEORGE in Holyoke was very rude. On two occasions he was seen staring at the table and instead of him greeting the individuals as he did other customers in Friendly's he walked away. A client said hello and asked how was his day, George walked away blantanly ignoring my clients pleasant greeting. As an individual with disabilities your only sense of independence is being able to pay for a $10.00 dinner. George rushed the waitress by declining payments on a two bills. It seemed as though George was in a rush to have us leave this location, if it wasn't for the clients and there liking for Friendly's dinner I would never go back to this location. As a manager George's customer service was beyond unsatisfactory.

My wife and son and I ate breakfast today, 22 October, at your Avon CT location. The service provided by server Taylor D. was abysmal. First, we were sat down by a hostess, and less than 30 seconds later, Taylor D. appeared and was annoyed that we weren't immediately ready to order.
I personally ordered the Big 2 Do item, and was expecting what I usually get from that order--2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, two pieces of toast, and 2 pancakes. The Avon location has ALWAYS provided that, and I have been eating in that location for 35 years. However, today, Taylor D. was very arrogant, telling me that I was wrong, and making a point to show me the menu and tell me that it was "grammatically incorrect". This is purely nonsense, and Taylor D. should be disciplined if not fired for telling a customer that they're wrong.
I have worked in customer service for 25 years, and the customer is never wrong. If Friendly's supports this type of ignorant customer service from their servers, then I am truly disappointed in your business model.
Further to the issue, I requested to speak with a manager, and Taylor D. informed me very snidely that one was not present. I found this to be unbelievable, but honestly did not see any single employee who appeared to be a manager in the restaurant.
I am truly disappointed with today's events, and left the restaurant feeling cheated. I would like Friendly's to reimburse me for this meal, $24.63, and am also requesting disciplinary action for Taylor D., who clearly does not understand appropriate customer service.

My parents and I are sitting in Friendlys in Lee, MA. We walked in and no one was around to greet us, so We seated ourselves. The waitress(older lady who did not give her name) came out eventually when I went to get a menu to tell us she would seat us. I told her we had already seated ourselves. She brought the menu over and made several snide remarks about how we had to wait because other tables in the back were here before us. About 10 minutes later she came back for our order and made another comment about people who seat themselves may be missed and not served. We actually considered leaving. I ordered a waffle with strawberries and was told they were frozen and may not have any. Another person came in after us and seated himself, she never said a word to him about it. She has been pleasant to everyone around us. My parents asked for water when she first came to the table, I asked again when she brought our food and she only brought one glass of water back. The waitress brought our bill and I finally got her name - Barb. Did not leave a tip. This was restaurant # 0041

First time I've been to Friendly's in years - and I will NEVER go back. I grew up going to Friendly's. It used to be a great restaurant, however it is beyond awful now! It was filthy, the staff were yelling and arguing with each other. I waited almost 20 minutes for a $6.00 ice cream cone - definitely not worth the money or the wait! A customer who ordered an ice cream sundae after me was given her order before me. I looked at the employee and questioned him. He responded that he didn't have my flavor of ice cream and had to go to get it. I seriously do not know how it has stayed in business with such horrendous service, sub-par food and ice cream and a disgustingly dirty restaurant. It's way past time this restaurant goes out of business for good.

I ordered a mint cookie crunch sundae and asked for no whip cream. The girl hands me a cup with just mint icecream. I told her I ordered the sundae and she got an attitude with me and told me I was wrong. I paid for the sundae and did not get what I paid for. I also ordered two small icecreams. Went to friendlys at 4:40 were only 4 tables of people. Took 30 min to get food. Appetizer chicken fingers were brown from old greese, bufflo sauce on side so oily and looked old.french fries were cold waffle fries smelled like fish and tasted bad. The chicken wrap was cold and had a seprated sauce that tasted bad. And look around saw one of 4 tables were waiting for another drink and dirty plates not cleared and 2 women just standing around.clam chowered not fit for a dog potatos were hard in soup, had no flavor. Would never go back, shame got so bad use be very good place.

My husband, son and I came into the establishment on rt 70 in cherry Hill nj Saturday night at 10:00pm we waited at front for about 15 minutes to be addressed... When the manager Osh finally came to sit us I let him know that we had been waiting for awhile... He started yelling saying he didn't want to hear it we weren't waiting that long and he had other things to do... There was only two other tables with customers and the other two were occupied by an employee who was off the clock that just finished his shift and another employee who was eating who when we were seated turned out to be our waitress... When I asked her his name she immediately told him and I could hear him saying he don't give an [censor] who I tell his job is stable.. Won't be first or last.. I'm completely dissatisfied with the service we received at this establishment..

Recently the hostess stand was removed from the entry of the restaurant. This is a huge mistake!
Saving a few dollars per hour for the cost of a friendly (it is called "Friendlies" isn't it?) hostess to greet and seat, cost them at least 6 families walking out because the wait staff was too busy to stop and seat them.

I came into the Sturbridge mass friendlys on 9/24/17 and had a HORRIBLE experience. It took almost 20 min to just put in a drink order. Then it took almost an hour to get our food. My son (3yrs) was getting very frustrated waiting for his food. Then the food came and it was ALL COLD. And then one of our plates had the wrong kind of chicken in it. I could go on and on. Basically was an all around bad experience all together. I would like to be compensated for the amount of money I spent on that day for food . We also asked to speak to the manager and it took almost 20 min for the manager to get over here to talk to us. Very disappointed and I will not be returning to this restaurant unless I am compensated in some sort of way.

I ordered it with grilled chicken, but got crispy. Plus i counted 3 small pieces of chicken. It was loaded with lettuce and those tortillas strips and didnt include dressing. Not the first time I got food to go and it was garbage. I don't know how much more I can say but the food in this particular friendlys has went downhill. The staff is unattentive and not very friendly

My wife and I wanted to take our two young grandchildren to friendly's for lunch but after waiting 5 - 7 minutes, no one came to seat us? Everyone there saw us but no one came to seat us. Having 2 young kids we couldn't wait any longer so we left to go next door to McDonald's. So disappointing. It was very clear to my wife and I no one there cared if we were there or not so we decided to not be there.

Restaurant wasn't busy, I waited at the take out counter for about 10 min before someone asked me to wait at pick up counter. Still waiting... Finally a girl comes over just to say she doesn't know how to ring in my order & kept calling for someone named Dawn to help her. It took a total of 28 minutes, yes I kep track at this point. Got food, didn't get a receipt. Knew I'd need it to contact you. Another 7 minutes waiting on receipt. Get back to work to discover no bacon on my bacon egg & cheese sandwich! Very poor service from the moment I walked in door.

I went to the take out window at the friendlys in middleboro, Massachusetts on 8/30/17.
First of all, it took 10 minutes for an employee to even take our order! Then, it took another 20 minutes for them to make 3 friendz's. We never received an acknowledgement that it would take this long or an apology. Also, when our ice cream was finally ready, two of them were the same flavor and I had a child with a peanut allergy. The worker put them down and did not even know right away which one did not have the peanut candy! It took her almost 5 minutes to figure it out. This was unacceptable. Both of the girls at the register seemed like they had little knowledge of their job and were not professional at all! I will never return to this friendlys and will double guess when going to another. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with this experience.

We placed an online take-out order at 7:30 for the Chelmsford Friendly's location and the order was accepted, with our credit card being charged. My husband went to pick up the order and there was a sign on the door that said, "We had to close. Sorry for the inconvenience and we plan to open again tomorrow!" Our kids were hungry and we had already ordered and paid for dinner. I'm hoping you can understand our disappointment and frustration with the situation and help successfully resolve the issue.
