What a mess!!!
Buy elsewhere. There are so many places with lower prices and better quality.
I am so disappointed with this company. I am done with them.
I bought the Witcher game, checked my information before making the payment, did everything right. But the game never arrived. I don't know what was the reason, their customer support doesn't tell me anything clear either.
One representative said that he sees all the information and the game is on its way (one month ago), another one said that the delivery service confused my address (I have been living on the same street all my life), and the third one said that the recipient (me) wasn't at home on the day of the delivery, so the game was sent back.
I was like WHAT? If they scheduled the delivery date, they forgot to notify me. I didn't get anything at all, I swear.
What a terrible place for spending money. Run away.
2 year extended warranty
Bought an Xbox One with a 2 year extended warranty from Gamestop. 698 days later it would not power on, called, told them I thought it was my power cord. Gave them my serial number, plan did not show, livid. Will never buy from them again. Over 12 years as a regular customer, thousands of dollars in purchases, I was loyal to them. I bought all my consoles from them with 2 year store warranty, my Xbox 360s, Wii u, 3ds, you name it. They basically said it did not show up, they could not help me. The sick part is i was encouraged to bring it to the store, promised I would be helped, it was the same guy who sold me the system and the plan. They do not value regular customers. Basically I was treated like a "liar" which makes it more of a betrayal and far worse. I will never purchase from them again. They can not be trusted, their services can not be trusted, their warranties can not be trusted. They basically lost 3 loyal consumers over horrible customer service and dishonest, scam like behavior. I would never recommend them knowing how dishonestly I was treated. They do not communicate with each other, one will promise to assist, another will treat you like garbage. When I told him he lost some loyal customers, that I felt embarrassed and mistreated after trusting them, he shrugged. After 9 years of purchases in that store regularly, he made it clear he did not care, nor value me as a regular customer. They do not deserve loyal customers.
mario car game
My sister order a Nintendo Switch console along with two games one of which she never received. All the items were bought on the same but two of the items came at different times in individual boxes except the Mario Cart game which we never got. We kept getting messages of completed deliveries that never took place. We even change the delivery address to avoid the item getting lost again. we were told that they were going to send another one, but that did not happen. When we call to find out why we did not get it, the customer service person that it was delivery to the old address and that it was sign for it. The customer service person was lying because that day I was at my sister's house during the time of the suppose delivery and no one came to deliver anything, and besides it was suppose to go to a new jersey address anyway so right there you can tell that the person was lying. I asked for a manager and didn't get one. the person put us on hold for a few minutes and then asked if we wanted a game or a refund. We asked for a refund since we attempted having the game sent to a different address and that did not happened on the part of the company, nothing was sent. We have not gotten a refund and in the card statement you charge for a game that was not deliver. we want to let you know that if this matter is not resolve soon we will be force to contact the authorities and the better business office and file a complaint against you.

It appears GameStop has completely removed all physical merchandise from their rewards program. I just renewed my membership because I planned to go buy a few games today, and I wanted to browse the merch with my newly earned rewards points. Low and behold no merch to be had, just lame [censor] gift cards and coupons etc. WTF GameStop! You had a good thing going for the customer and just like the choice to try and go completely digital with your magazine, you've missed the mark! I hope you will see the error of your ways and bring it back to its original glory. But if not I have no real use for the points system. And honestly, as much as I love the gamer mag, I'm not sure if 17$ after tax is money well spent for a magazine subscription and an occasional discount when I buy a used game. I'm a new title buyer more often than not. I guess I'm just upset that we are losing out on one of the things I felt made you stand out. I can buy games cheaper online but chose GameStop because of the customer service and membership rewards. Please bring it back!

Placed an order in local store back in July & still haven't received it. I've made phone calls to 800#, I've sent emails, I've gone back to the store & still no game! I paid for it in July & want my game. VERY poor customer service! I keep being given the same excuse that order was lost by UPS & that they'd send a replacement. But I still haven't received.

I owed 48 dollars and some change at gamestope at 350 baseline rd mesa az for call of duty. I went in and put 21 dollars down on wolfenstein 2 and then now all of the sudden I have 21 dollars added on to call of duty. The store saod they cant do anything. I really dont feel like paying extra for something i paid. You can put 2 and 2 together. I pay 21 to wolfenstein 2 and now all of the sudden 21 dollars was added onto my call of duty. Hurricane Operating Hours
It is really unfortunate that my significant other is one of two people on the team who haven't evacuated for hurricane Irma yet and because of that- the district leader (who evacuated two days ago) is expecting then to work both Friday and Saturday . They might be even be expected to work open to close on both of those days due to the other team member possibly evacuating . I am also a store manager at another retailer and my company is also based out of Texas where we were just hit pretty hard by hurricane Harvey and it is really hard to believe that after that catastrophe-- GameStop is seriously expecting store leaders to pick up that slack. It puts our household in a position where we have not been able to get gas, food or water for our family and now with being required to be open both Friday and Saturday, I feel like the ones who did not choose to evacuate are being penalized.
Let your people be prepared.
Even stores in Miami are still open on Saturday? Is that a joke? This hurricane is supposed to directly hit the East Coast of Florida and I honestly cannot believe that GameStop is not on the side of safety right now. I am at a loss for words.

online order destiny 2 collector's edition
I ordered the Destiny 2 collector's edition for ps4 5 months ago when GameStop had sold out of the original collector's edition and only had it conveniently as a bundle that cost 30 dollars more than the original steep price of $250. Putting that aside, I called the store a month ago to make sure I was getting the game same day as release. Yesterday I called again before going to work to double check and waited for 30+ minutes to talk with someone. Both times I was assured that I would be getting my game today!
So what happens today 9/6/17, I wait and wait. The collector's edition never came in, and I get a follow up email that my game is coming tomorrow 9/7/17
I paid extra for shipping and handling, I made my day available today to play it, and I'm not getting it today. What's worse is that I called GameStop, it took me 55min to talk with someone and they couldn't help me. I asked to talk with a supervisor, and I gave them my number. They told me I was going to get a call within an hour at max. Now it's been over a couple of hours and frustrated out of my mind. So much bad service. Even when I asked if I can cancel the order (cuz if I'm going to wait an extra day to get the game, I might as well go through Amazon and select 1 day shipping AND pay less than I did with GameStop) they said it was too late.
They said there was nothing in their power and that the game had to ship first and I would have to go on my own time to return the items. What kind of joke is this company?
Sad part, is I almost thought they cared, but I found out they lied. Called UPS to see the status of my order, and GameStop STILL hadn't sent it.
What's going on? When I asked GameStop if they could at least give me a code so that I can play today until my shipment comes in, they said there was nothing they could do. It sucks to feel so defeated. I took off work today and had my entire day planned out, now I won't even get to play it today. Instead the game comes tomorrow when I work and have other responsibilities to take care of.
I got an email from them that says they screwed up, they'll eventually give me the package, and their sorry was a coupon. A coupon that has been restricted to death, can't be used in store and can't be used on dlc even! There's more to that mess. Anyways.

destiny 2 pre-order
I received an email stating that on 9/5/17 at 9:00 pm my copy of Destiny 2 would be ready for pickup at the 210 Andover Street, Peabody, MA location. I arrived at 9 and was told that my game was there, but I could not pick it up. Apparently the manager wasn't informed about the release time and never got the "OK" from the mall (it's an in-mall location) to extend their business hours. I couldn't pick up my copy at a different location because my "copy is here". So I was basically told to screw and wait till morning (in the nicest way possible). The problem with that is that I had that night planned out with several other people to play the game. They all got their copies from other locations, I missed out simply because of the crappy location I chose to do my pre-order. In my opinion this is unacceptable. Opportunity costs. Why was I not informed that the email was an error? why wasn't the error corrected? I'm a faithful customer, but this incident has my blood boiling. I did upgrade my pre-order to include the season pass when I arrived, so you guys got more of my money and I got absolutely nothing but wasted time a headache. Can this situation be rectified? I've never been so excited for a game, and now, so disappointing in a company. Please make this right! you've ruined a day that I have been looking forward to for quite some time.

I purchased a digital downloadable game from Game Stop online. After installing the game and playing it for a few hours I decided I wanted to purchase a copy for a friend so that we could team up and play it together online. I searched the website extensively looking for any way to gift a game, and there were no options available. So I called Game Stop customer support at [protected], waited about 20 minutes on hold, and was finally connected to Rose the Game Stop Customer Support Representative. I explained to Rose what I was attempting to do, and she gave me detailed instructions on what to do. Her instructions were to order the game again, making sure to use my same password so the order would not be rejected, then when I received the confirmation email I would be able to forward the key to my friend. BAD INFORMATION! After putting in the order, I received an email with a message that the order was on hold for review. The next email I received was a receipt for the purchase with a message that the key would follow in another email. When the next email came, it said my purchase was being rejected, with no explanation! So I call Customer Support again, wait 30 minutes for a live person, Doug, to get on the phone with me. I explain what had happened, including the conversation with Rose, and he says that he cant do anything. All he can say is that he is sorry, with no advice other than telling me I can go into a brick and mortar Game Stop and buy a copy of the title. So I ask Doug if I can talk to a supervisor, he says yes, and I am put on hold. After sitting on hold for another 30 minutes my call get redirected to the one question survey, and then disconnected! This is how important customers are to Game Stop!
Game Stop is nothing more than a middle man, selling the products of other companies, then not standing behind their sales. They expect everything after a sale to be handled by the company who's product is in question, even when it is a direct Game Stop situation, like the processing and follow up of a direct purchase for a digital download from Game Stop.
I cant understand how a company that sells games, both hard copies, and digital copies, does not offer a prompt where somebody can purchase a title online as a gift. This is 2017 isn't it? I'm sure it would be an easy fix, but as I have experienced the worst customer service ever, I doubt very much that anything will be done. It's truly a shame!

Rude "Assitant Manager"! Was in the store and overheard the way he spoke to the other employees-came across as he was some kind of king talking to his peasants. He was also a very very very slow during the checkout process and had an almost condescending tone towards customers as well. Also noticed that he had an extremely long and pointy pinky finger-I've seen this before and have been told that this is to scratch games being traded in so that they are considered defective-good way to describe this is shady shady shady!

My son and grandson went into the Bryant and 2nd store in Edmond Oklahoma, (my son who is 33 has problems dealing with people, he doesn't do well dealing with people he gets jerky and stutters very badly, (there is more) so my grandson put the games on counter, the girl said she couldn't sale them to him, my son said they were his, she refused to listen to son and refused to look at his id, son even went back in to get games and was still refused. Both and young lady, Manger I was told Name was Adam, didn't get the girls, refuse to listen and were hateful. So I call to talk to manger was told he left, this is all within 15 to 20 minutes the girl was hateful to me, said there was nothing she could do when I asked for a number to call she gave me the wrong number by changing one number in it, I called another game stop and got the number,
was on hold to talk to someone for 32 minutes, (the young man I talked to was very nice) I haven't heard back till I got a survey from you all yesterday asking if I was happy. This is where I found out I could come here.
I might not spend 100st of dollars with you but we have been spending some we even bought a game machine (play station 4 from you) this was the only place we were getting games, Have referred about 20 people if not more to you. I feel like my son was totally disrespected was treated badly because he has a problem (they were told about why grandson was talking)
We even have games that we were pre ordering now I'm rethinking this.

I think it was the 14 of this month I feel like because my son has a problem they just wrote him off and didn't try to listen or work with him. It took a lot for him to even talk to them and say he had trouble dealing with people and then its like she slapped him in the face. Been trying to get in contact with someone for quite sometime. A year ago, had an issue with my points disappearing, 20, 000 points. After trying to resolve this in a few gamestop locations, and trying to get in contact thru the phone, and not making the slightest progress, I then decided not to renew my subscription. With how things went about during that, I figured they were long gone and I'll never get any help with this. Some time has passed, and a moment has presented it self where I might want to renew my subscription, become a shopper at a game stop again, and hopefully find out what happened and if it can be fixed. And since deciding to reach out again, it hasn't been the easiest road again. The Contact Us number that the website gave me didn't ever go to any kind of customer support, or anything even relevant towards gamestop, asking me to push 1 for insurance quotes, and regardless if I pushed pound to decline that offer, or just sit and wait, after some time the message tells me to hang up. Called a local game stop and told her the number on the website is beyond unhelpful, she replied with, everyone has that problem, the real number is such n such. Wow. Finally getting thru, I get put on the phone with a lady who barely understood me, and I could barely understand what she was saying, I asked if I could speak with another representative because of the language barrier, and she denied me of that. I can understand being eager and confident in doing a task, but this is customer care, suppose to do what you can to take care of the customer. Im not entirely sure what, if anything had been done at the end of our call. Been shopping in these stores ever since the early 2000's when it was still EB games. But I have done all I can do regarding this, and this is my final attempt to reach out and resolve this issue to further more be a customer.
crappy shipping practice on collectible things (funko pops)
I ordered for the 1st time from gamestop about 1 month ago and I received the package and more then half the order was destroyed and the funny thing is the package was fine. Which means they put the Funko pops in the box like that from the warehouse. Now a week ago I ordered 2 more pops to give it another chance. Well I received my package and again both items were in unexceptionable condition again! And again the box was fine but the pops looked like someone sat on them and put them in the box like that at the factory. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM GAMESTOP AGAIN. Which really sucks. I got a credit card from there but now I don't want it and will be closing out my account. It's a shame you have a lot of great items only online not in stores but it seems Gamestop has the worse shipping hands down compared to everyone, definitely the worse and now I know to stay always from this store. Suggestion-people collect these things so ship them like you know that. I will for sure spread the word not to order from GameStop EVER because they have no clue what they are doing or selling. Pathetic to say the least

I was shopping online for a new game to play, and I decided to order Dragon Age 2 to be shipped to my house. When I finally received my package in the mail, I opened up the case just to find a Dead Rising 2 disk. I am very disappointed in this, since one would expect the company to be able to at least double check that the game they are shipping is actually the correct one.
gamestop on grand river avenue in farmington hills stole my money
I purchased an Xbox 1 at GameStop on grand river in Farmington hills Michigan. I returned it within the 7 day window WITH my receipt and credit card. I was told it I'd get my money refunded to my account within 72 hours. That never happened so I called back the store and was informed that there was nothing they could do on their end. They gave me the customer service number.
I called the customer service number was on hold for 15 minutes. Only to be answered by someone who hardly spoke English. I could not make out what was being said. I got transferred and transferred until I finally got ahold of someone whose broken English I could understand enough to carry on a conversation. They looked up my transaction and told me they were sorry but I was misinformed and it would be 7-10 business days. I waited the full 10 days and still my money was not returned to my bank account. I had to contact customer service again with another round of not being able to understand what they were saying and being transferred. I was apologized to and told to give it a few more days because I had returned my item on memorial weekend. Once again I waited a few more days. I called again. All of a sudden their story changed. They proceeded to inform me that they gave me a cash refund. THAT NEVER HAPPENED! Why would I waste my time if I was given a cash refund?!
I called my bank at this point. They issued a temporary credit. I received an e mail from my bank letting me know they were taking back the credit because GameStop provided them with a receipt that stated cash was given. I used my card! There was no cash. They somehow manufactured a receipt and now my money has been permanently stolen by the Farmington hills Michigan GameStop on grand river avenue.
I'm considering filing a police report. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. More so then the money is the principal of the matter. I can't believe GameStop can get away with stealing my money! Any advice would be much appreciated.
bought a game from gamestop and it doesn't work
I bought a game from the GameStop store next to walmart out in oak grove, Ky right outside of my military base fort Campbell. And the game didnt work I brought it back to get it exchanged or get my money back and she told me my phone number was no good and told me she can't help me. She didnt even try to help me or explain anything instantly turned around and went back about her business even the man she was working with pretty much ignored me.
I purchased Kingdom Hearts for PlayStation 2 from GameStop while online which I received in the mail a few years ago but before I play it on PS2, it greeted me with the PS2 RSOD (PlayStation 2 Red Screen of Death) which says "Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc", making me really pissed off at my PlayStation 2, resulting in a refund of buying a replacement PlayStation 2 format disc of the popular Disney JRPG, Kingdom Hearts, at a local GameStop in Mall of the Mainland which is located in Texas City.

Pre-order Destiny 2 Collectors Edition the day it was available.I was so happy because it sold out in hours everywhere.
A few days later 3/30/17 I sent a customer care email online asking to verify that I had next day shipping so that I would have the product on launch date. Two months later, 5/31/17 I received an email stating that my order was updated. Last week 7/17/17 I went online to get my pre-order code for the beta and saw that my order was "closed". I then called the customer service number to find out why my order was closed since the game does not launch until 9/06/17.
They proceeded to tell me my order had been cancelled on 5/31/17 THE SAME DAY THEY UPDATED MY ORDER. I was furious because the collectors edition is sold out. I asked why my order was cancelled and they told me it had something to do with my credit card. I asked them what the issue was because they do not charge for the game until it ships so there should not be any thing wrong with my card.
They could not answer my question and told me I had to contact my credit card company. The card I used was a GameStop Credit Card with a $0 balance so there was no way there was an issue. There are no charges on my card or even a failed transaction. I asked for the supervisor and the agent requested a callback.
I did receive a call back but the supervisor spewed the same information. They would not resolve my issue which is probably because the game edition is sold out. No compensation, no apologies. All I want is my pre-ordered game.
I will be cancelling my Credit Card, rewards card and never shopping there again.Kiss my $2000 a year in revenue goodbye GameStop along with any good reviews or recommendations.
