PS5 Purchase
Went to the Fairview store with my son to purchase a PS5 console. Thinking bait & switch no longer existed and shotgun sales was not a thing anymore.
The clerk fixed that idea. Oh but you can only buy the console if you ALSO buy $50 0f accessories (games). Ok - can we buy that game. SORRY - not available. Only these are available. No games - skins only. Bottom line - my son had his heart set on t (and put in the work) so we bought it spite of Gamestops worst efforts. I have now shopped there twice - FIRST and LAST. Icing on he cake. Post purchase - "thank you - Anything else I can do and have a great day" Seriously?
Wrong item/ still haven't received the replacement/ customer service
I ordered the Meta Quest 2 with Resident Evil 4 and Beat Saber Bundle on Black Friday for my grandson for Christmas. I received the wrong bundle so I kept trying to call Gamestop, well they always say that it will be 60 to 90 minutes and to call back during the hours that they are available (I was calling during those hours every time) then they hang up on you. I tried using the chat feature and the chat option is never available, so I tried to email and it took a week and a half in between each message I received. I finally got someone on the phone after waiting forever, and they told me to send it back and they would send me the correct item. I sent it back and here it is 6 days before Christmas and I still don't have the item or anything saying it has been shipped. I checked online and it still says pending the returned item but I have the information saying that it was delivered. I don't understand why I haven't received anything but especially the item I ordered a month ago. Now I don't have the big gift for my grandson for Christmas because they messed up on their end. I will Never buy from Gamestop again.
Desired outcome: To have my Meta Quest 2 Bundle in time for Christmas so my grandson won't be disappointed.
Unprofessional employees talking crap about customers in front of other customers
On December 6th or 7th of 2022, I went into the Galesburg Gamestop to look for a game. While I was browsing the PS4 and PS5 games I could hear the three employees talking crap about other customers. They continued to do so as customers came into and left the store. One employee by the name of Eric was complaining that he was called a name by a 10-year-old who he had failed to get rewards number from. The rewards would have only amounted to around $10.00 according to Eric but if you have a rewards account, or in this case his father does it should have been used. However, since the kid was only 10 he decided that he did not need to ask for the number. I do not remember exactly what the two females working with Eric were saying but they were all talking bad about other customers. When I was in the store today I asked about the manager and this Eric started getting an attitude like what the 10-year-old said gave him the right to be unprofessional at work. During this entire encounter I made it clear that it does not matter what the kid said, he has the constitutional right to say whatever he wants. I agree the kid should not have called him what he did, however if I owned the store all three of them would have been fired as soon as I found out about the whole situation. At this point Eric made it clear that he felt he was in the right, and apparently his feelings supersede the constitution of the United States of America. He also made it clear that as a paying customer trying to do what I felt was right I should leave. He did not threaten me but he said I was free to leave. Through the conversation I tried getting him to understand that short of threatening the employees everyone has the right to free speech. I told him that kid like me has the right to say anything they damn well want to say, and peoples feeling do not supersede that right. He argued that when the kid called him something involving being a [censored], that was in his right to talk [censored] about the kid later. Sorry I do not remember exactly what he claimed the kid called him. He failed to do his job of asking for a rewards number. I told him if he was being a [censored] I would have called him on it myself if I had been the one he screwed over. I do not care about peoples feelings but when customers are getting screwed by the employees, then call the employee out on it that does not make it professional to talk [censored] about the customer Infront of other customers. I will not likely go into this store again till those 3 employees are fired. There should be video footage from the 6 or 7 of December 2022 around 6-7 PM.
When I was asking about who the manager is and asking another employee about this situation is when Eric cut in. Eric is a very unprofessional and makes the Galesburg IL store and all of GameStop look bad. If they want to bad mouth customers then they should not do it in the main part of the store especially in front of other customers.
I have been shopping gamestop for longer than I can remember, but I will not be going into this gamestop again unless those employees are let go. If they want to bad mouth me so be it, do it to my face or in private away from customers.
Desired outcome: I want Eric and the two other employees working the night of December 6th or 7th of 2022 Fired. They are all three unprofessional and make the Gamestop stores look bad.
Rewards points
In order to redeem rewards points you need a verification code that they never send. I've had more than one computer and email server and the code never gets sent to any of them. Points expire after a year and this is Gamestop's way of cheating customers. I've sent numerous emails to them but nothing is ever done. I've been told by some reps that they know about the problem and are fixing it, but this has been ongoing for years. I used to be an advocate of Gamestop, but now I avoid them at all costs. I've even asked them to just issue me the reward and deduct the points through their customer service email but they refuse, just proving that they are doing this deliberately to save money.
Desired outcome: A $15 store credit for my 15,000 points
Clearance charger I purchased
When I bought charger I was told it was compatible with all phones it does not work with my phone. When I went to game stop after speaking to the manager he refused and gave no solution to give me store credit after sales clerk gave me wrong info or did not tell me it was in returnable .Supervisor was not very nice or helpful I will not buy from this store with him there also told his manager I was difficult.
Desired outcome: Did not give me any resolution refused to give credit was rude and hard to deal with
Online order
Not only was my package late (it was meant to arrive on Thursday 12/1 and didn't arrive until Monday 12/5), but you did not even give me my full order! I ordered 7 items and only received 6 of them. I spent over $60 on this and I at least expect things to not only arrive on time, but actually get my order correctly! This isn't even the first issue I have had with your online orders. I am really disappointed with how this has turned out. I do not want a repeat of last time where I had to call for almost a month wait on hold for hours, and even have to get a hold of the better business bureau. This is ridiculous!
Desired outcome: I want either a refund or the rest of my order to be fulfilled in a timely matter. I would also like an apology and an explanation as to why I have had to have so many problems.
Xbox all access
On November 8th I have purchased Xbox all access on they website and I used my citizen pay loan now my order was $639.49 for some odd reason GameStop put more than they shood have of authorization on my loan account I have called in on Nov 11 regarding my issue and the rep explained to me there is multi transaction holds on my GameStop account and I’m not understanding why my entire credit was swipe off one purchase I have been going back and forth with GameStop saying it’s no authorization holds when I have proof from citizen pay loan saying it is and they won’t take they time investigate and look deep in they system to see what’s going on I have $2002.02 when I purchased after I made my purchase I only had $1.00 with citizen pay loan im not able to make a new purchase on GameStop because of this hold since my console was supposedly lost in the mail when usps never picked up my order and I still have the tracking number saying so ugh GameStop only refunded me $639.39 I have included a letter from citizen bank
Desired outcome: Investigate to see where is the authorized holds are and release my funds I been waiting since almost a month probably was a glitch in they system somewhere on the 8th of November
Honoring discount within a week later
I purchased two Funko Pop for my grandson on Sunday October 1st, 2022. At that time I also purchase the reward plan. I was told that everything I do through them would show on my account. Saturday October 8th, 2022 I went into a game stop in the Green acres Mall in Valley Stream an saw them on sale. I WAS told they do not honor the sale after purchase mind you 4 different lies was told. Last thing was a young lady looked at the register and saw that I purchased them on the 1st and she said you have 15 days but must bring them back which I didn't understand all that when all they had to do was give me the difference back on the card. I WAS treated very disrespectful, so I said I would go back to the store that I originally got the toys. Because I refused to buy from them and by time I got back to the other store the young lady could not find my purchased made on October 1st. I would like to know why is that. THEN the same store I was going to purchase for my grandson was 29.99 at that store but the store I bought the Funko from was $19.99. Then they was talking badly about the Rosedale store people.
Desired outcome: Honor the Funko that was 50% and find out why my stuff disappeared and why are the prices different in the stores...
Gift Card Fraud/Scam
8/18/2022: Purchased a Gamestop gift card at a Casey's store in Iowa. The card was used fraudulently online for a total of $500. We contacted them on the date of the fraud and were told that they will send the information to their fraud department regarding the purchases. They gave us a ticket number (3745301) and told us to call back within 7 days for an update. We have a copy of the card and the receipt.
8/29/2022: Called back to check on an update. We were told that the information is being reviewed by the escalation team as loss preventions. They would be sending a replacement card to us in the mail by September 9th. They referenced the same ticket number.
9/19/2022: Called back again to check on an update. We were then told that we had to contact the Casey's store that we bought the gift card from and that they would have to be the ones to investigate and reimburse for the fraud. Gamestop would not be the ones to reimburse the funds on the fraud. Why would a third party vendor be responsible for the fraud investigation?

Modern Icons helmet stand from Gamestop
I purchased a Modern Icon's helmet stand as a birthday gift for my nephew in California on 9/10/22. I got a shipping notification the same day. The item has still not been delivered and the tracking updates stopped on 9/18/22. When tracked, all it says is arriving late with no timetable. I have reached out to GameStop three times online and have called twice. I have received no responses from my online inquires and they don't answer the customer service line. At this point, I want a refund or a replacement item sent.

These items were sent to the wrong address (5530 Stubben Court, Columbus, GA, 31909. I moved and live at 803 Paddington Court, Newport News, VA, 23608. GameStop in turn had the items sent back to GameStop. GameStop has the item in their possession I have documentation on this.
I purchased this item through a PayPal payment plan. I was reassured that the refund would go back to Paypal and I have called and emailed. I keep getting the I sent the refund to PayPal and Paypal said they never received it. I have been going back and forth with both of them for a while.
The amount of the refund is 103.60 by the way I had to PayPal and now they have both. The payments I have made to PayPal and the money GameStop has.
Someone has it and does not want to give it back.
I need help on this matter.

Playstation 4 premium refurbished
The product was delivered in a box with a crushed corner, when I plugged it up it had static in the upper and lower parts of the screen and it got worse from there with the screen eventually going all green, then black. I tried switching TV’s, HDMI cables, everything. My Xbox 1 has no issues playing on any of the TV’s by the way. Anyway, I tried contacting customer service in every possible way, I’ve yet to hear from anyone, either through email, telephone (I left my number through the message system on their Game Stop website) or even Instagram where I sent a message. Worst customer service from a company EVER.
Desired outcome: At this point? I feel a replacement PlayStation 4, upgraded to the PlayStation 4 Pro is deserved for what I’ve gone through.
Rewards points
Rewards points can never be used because it wants a verification code that never gets sent. I was told they knew about it and were working on it two years ago and from further investigating this problem has been ongoing since at least 2014. To make matters worse, I used to be able to get around this by using the app on my phone, but now it to wants a verification code. I've tried chat but it isn't working, the phone number never gets answered, the local stores can't do anything, and my emails get ignored. I was a very good customer, but will never shop here again.
Order not received
Since January 21, 2021 I have been fighting to receive the ps5 I ordered from GameStop, order number: [protected]. Since then I have been given the runaround by fedex, GameStop and my credit card co. Each saying the other company was responsible. This is extremely frustrating! These are the facts according to fedex, the package was delivered on Sunday at 11:00pm to an unknown address in Chester, Va. I live in Chesterfield, VA which is 10-15 miles away. The signature reads JJames Cauley. I would never sign my name JJames. My name is James S Cauley. That’s how I sign it. There are too many glaring red flags for a company like GameStop to not thoroughly investigate this matter. It is now 6 month since I have had any resolution to this problem. Essentially I have had over $700 stolen from me.

pc game farm simulator
You guys advertise Farm Simulator 22 but don't sell it! I could not even turn in my used games that I bought at Gamestop because they said they don't buy or sell the PC games anymore at Shelton WA store. I spent a lot of money at this store throughout the past 6 years. I don't use the Playstation because they don't have enough memory. If you're not going to sell it, I suggest you don't advertise it! Borderlands 3 ultimate edition
On March 8th I purchased 2 pre owned games . 1 is monster hunter world master edition which works fine. The other was borderlands 3 ultimate edition Xbox series x. The screenshot attached shows what is said on the webpage of the pre owned version. It's said to include both season passes and bonus content etc.
I called and spoke with someone on the 12th of March. The gentleman offered me a replacement or a refund. I took the replacement. The replacement arrived today March 17th. Has a code for season pass 1 but no season pass 2. I called and explained what happened.
I am told through a employee by a supervisor that they have a no guarantee policy when it comes to pre owned games. The game was 24.99 before tax. If I wanted the base game only, then I would have bought it from you for 12.99

The company themselves did absolutely nothing but point me to the game developer and send a lesser copy. My local gamestop is the one that helped me. Got the correct copy with the dlc mailed to me. So in that way the company helped I guess.

I visited the Greenwood SC store today at 11:30AM to be greeted by the most racist white boy I have ever seen in my life. He was rude, he would not provide me with service and for that reason I will be canceling my membership and I will not allow my family to spend any money at Gamestop anymore

Gamestop Sells used Games As new.
I just started ordering from Gamestop in like September pr November 2021. I've ordered preorders from them, and those arrive fine, BUT I have only purchased 2 New games from them that weren't preorders. Every game I have gotten that was sold as New did not have the wrapper that Nintendo puts on the product when they ship them out. A game with no original Y-Fold wrapper is a used game. Whether it has been used or not. Hell, they even sent me a replacement for the first order and it was unwrapped too! Today I received the second NEW game, and it had no wrapper either. I will never order a NEW game, outside a preorder for a Gamestop exclusive, ever again. I buy like 20-30 games a month, because I'm a collector. The games value is reduced significantly if it is sealed in the original wrapper. This is false advertisement.
Desired outcome: Stop selling unwrapped games as NEW GAMES. That's the only outcome I will settle for.

I think it’s pretty dirty and sneaky of you all to put it in fine print that your going to charge my credit card to renew every year! I’m 65 yrs old can’t see that good and you expect me to read the fine print! It makes me rethink about ever renewing it again. I’ve went on the site to stop it and the sites down. I called customer care and they said they can’t do it I have to go on the site. I am so pi—- off! I thought we’ll, I’ll put the game I bought in my ps5 and check it out, we’ll guess what? Surprise the game is not in the box! I called the store and yep they have an extra one there! Now I have to travel back to the store and waste my gas to pick up a game they should of put in the box!
