dishwasher model GDT225SGL0WW
I'm not even asking for a free part I'm willing to pay for it, but i should not have to buy a whole door just for a removable gasket... and
I understand your concern. GE did not provided a separate part # for this item nor could it be sold separately. .

This is crazy, no other option for this gasket? The gasket pulls off and snaps back on easy. Why should we have to spend $158.10 just for a replaceable gasket. We are a property of 881 homes and we have a lot of GE. It's a shame all we get is "Unfortunately, that is not an option. I do apologize"

Subject: GE - Parts Question
Question: Very frustrated with these dishwashers this is the third one in about a month and a half we have had leak from the door gasket not the U shaped one put the one under the door itself. Being told from your parts department we can't just get the gasket, we will have to get the inner door part # 807 at $158.10. This is crazy cause the gasket pops right off and should be like $10.00. Would really like someone from Technical Support to please call me and see if we could come up with an arrangement or a better way fixing these. My number is [protected].
Thank you

Desired outcome: to be able to buy this gasket without having to buy the whole door
Warranty replacement
We purchased a GE Cooktop model No. JP3630SJ4SS from BestBuy on Aug. ‘20 for $879.99 with a 5 year warranty for $160. delivered on Oct. ‘20. Installed by Geek squad. On 6/8/21, I heard a loud glass shattering sound in the kitchen, ran to the kitchen and saw it was the Cooktop, it had shattered with lines running all through it. Called BestBuy, they said since it was still under manufacturer's warranty, I should call GE, which I did, the tech came out on 6/14/21. At this time the Cooktop was slanted to the right, it was caving into the hole, each day it sank, shattering the glass the more. The tech wrote that it was impacted by a hard object. GE declined coverage, I called again on 6/28/21, the rep I spoke with promised GE will take care of it. But he was first going to send the glass. The glass was shipped to us. Called GE for install. The tech came out on 7/13/21 to install the glass, saw he couldn't repair it and claimed that we deliberately broke our stove and it wasn't covered under our warranty. my mistake is I should have taken a picture of the stove when it first shattered. But why should I, this is America. I bought this appliance from a reputable store produced by a reputable company, (At least I thought so) But to be accused by GE that I deliberately broke my stove of 8 months. I am just not happy.
Desired outcome: I need a replacement
Air conditioner
I bought my window A/C about 6 weeks ago (5/26/21).
I bought it online and paid for delivery and installation by a professional.
The A/C stopped working last Saturday 7/10/21.
I got a service appointment for 7/15/21 8-5pm. the very next morning Ms. Lakiesha calls me to tell me I am not eligible for service but rather for a replacement. However, I will need to buy another unit, send the receipt to be reimbursed. I said I wanted to talk to a supervisor because that doesn't help me, since it will likely take GE forever to reimburse me. I demanded to be transferred to a supervisor, which Lakeisha insisted she doesn't have one "only customer service". When I spoke to CS, I waited for 30 min to get the automated service offering a call back. I ended up calling back myself because the call back service never happened). Shequonda picked up. telling me I am eligible for service and that I need to registered my unit because it is not registered (which is impossible because I did that on the app upon delivery), but she said she is doing it over the phone with me. She told me I no longer have my appointment that was scheduled to the 15th and only one available is on the 16th. I have a full time job and cannot take time off whenever GE needs me to. Frustration went high. I had no choice but have it on the 16th. I still wanted to talk to a supervisor and was repeatedly denied. Eventually, after a long and repeated such demands, I spoke to Robert Freizer who said I am eligible for repair and said he will put me on the cancellation list so I could have the option to choose something sooner if that be convenient. So at this point I am scheduled for the 16th between 1-5pm. That didn't last long. On 7/13/21 and 8:44am Lakiesha called again (insisted she didn't talk to me before) and said its not up to me, and that my appointment on the 16th is cancelled and said again that I am not eligible for repair, but for replacement. After what I went thru yesterday, I couldn't trust her and demanded to speak to her supervisor. She transferred me to another agent like her.
Than I called the other service phone I fund online [protected]) Molly picked up to tell me that my unit is not registered correctly AGAIN. Now I was waiting for 45 min because I don't trust the call back service that doesn't happen. But I am at work and will have to go to attend to it. I had to end wait and will have to call later.
So to this moment I cannot be sure if I am really eligible for replacement. I am waiting for CS to tell me if I need to buy the same unit? if I have to buy GE product? What happens with the extended warranty I paid for, which will not apply for the new unit, right? and will I be paid for delivery and installation that I paid for before. I should be paid for all this! And most importantly, who should I submit my reimbursement to?

Desired outcome: I want reimbursement for the unit I have. Including delivery, installation and the extended warranty.
Food waste disposal gfc325n
I bought my brand new house in August of last year. My food waste disposer is not working after less than a year. I called GE and they sent me a new unit but won't send someone to install it. In their warranty it says " during the limited one year warranty GE appliances will also provide, free of charge, all labor charges related to replacing the original disposer along with the replacement disposer within the first year". Yet when I called they are saying that they will not install the new disposer and I have to pay for it myself.
Desired outcome: Want my disposer to be installed

Case #[protected]
Unresolved repair issue for this brand new cooktop. Jen of Customer Care has tried to resolve. First GE sent tech to repair gas leak. Tech said he couldn't do. Ordered part and told me it would be at least July 23rd before work could be done. That would have been 6 weeks from time of visit. I contacted customer care and was told a replacement cooktop would be needed; that it would be delivered AND installed today. I confirmed this several times with both the delivery company and GE/Jen. They came, said they can't do it and nothing has changed. I have tried to call Customer Care four times today and have been on hold for over 35 minutes each time - with no option to receive a call back. I have emailed my customer care person but she does not respond until the following day, typically. I am so completely disappointed with the fact that I have had NO USE of this cooktop for weeks. No one seems motivated to repair it. The replacement guys were really just delivery guys, not the GE AUTH SERVICE I was promised repeatedly. I have already called Lowes to try to return it but they will not take it back unless you authorize. It was purchased on 3/23/2021 and received on 4/12/2021. The model number is CGU366P2. They serial number will be in the case number info. This cooktop has taken away my ability to COOK. For a high end item costing $3000 I would have expected much, much, much better service. PLEASE either guarantee it will be repaired within 72 hours - or process a full return of this item so I can get my money back and move on.
Desired outcome: SUCCESSFUL REPAIR WITHIN 72 HOURS GTD OR FULL REFUND FOR ITEM, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION
Washer GFW850SPN1RS
Washer and dryer end of cycle alert is inaudible to the point the entire system is useless. Repair rep says it was designed that way so you can't hear it when you are more than two feet from the unit. What is needed is documentation describing proper operation and citing decibel levels for each of the three settings. Also liquid soap is under the soap dispenser indicating a leak. Rep says "O" ring at rear of container could be the cause and cannot be repaired. A new soap container was ordered with the hope it will correct the problem.
Desired outcome: Repair sound so that when selected to high it can be heard in adjacent rooms. Provide documentation of GE’s engineering design showing decibel output at each level of proper operation.

Air conditioner
Purchased an AC unit August 2029. Used it for 2 months. Put the unit in on June 5th it stopped working after "Filter" light came on and after cleaning it won't go off and the unit keeps turning off. Contacted GE and submitted proof of purchase and they are telling me I have to purchase another piece of junk from them and they will reimburse me in 6-8 weeks. It is Summer in Chicago with 90+ temps and 80% humidity every day. I have 2 Frigidaire air conditioners I have had for 12 years and they are still working with no problem.
Desired outcome: I need a replacement AC unit

AC
I purchased a GE AC on 6/21/20 from best buy and it was working well, till we tried to use it week of 5/21/21, in which it indicated the filter needed to be cleaned. We then cleaned the filter and all the lights on AC started to flash and when we tried to turn the AC on it ran for 2 seconds then turned it self off. I then contacted GE by phone on 5/24/21 and was given an appointment for 5/26/21 with confirmation number [protected]. I then received an email from GE from individual which stated her name was Denise, which stated my unit was classified as a return to vender/RTV unit. Also that my unit carries a replacement warranty instead of service warranty. she then continue to state I needed to return to the store of purchase or contact tier 2 Dept. I then proceeded to contact the tier 2 Dept, in which was instructed to email a copy of my receipt with model/serial number, and then I would receive a goodwill certificate in mail, in which I can purchase a new AC with my own money. I am very dissatisfied with GE service in the sense that you do not care about your quality of products but more about quantity.
Desired outcome: Refund
This is the exact same thing that my AC unit is doing and I am also told a goodwill certificate was mailed out to me. Why would I want to purchase another piece of crap product and the first one worked for 2 months. The phone lines are always busy because they put together and sell junk that doesn’t work these days. I will purchase a new AC unit of another brand but GE will return my money one way or another.
GE Dryer
My name is Linda Robin. I bought a new dryer in June 2020, that has been services over four times now and still not working. I cannot get in touch with anyone at GE customer services to voice my concerns. I'm only getting robotic answers and pressing one to never get a call back. I called the original company I bought the dryer from and was advised to call GE. I am very frustrated and disappointed at this point.
I can be reach at [protected].
Desired outcome: Need a working replacement new dryer.
Plastic Cooktop Knobs
I purchased a GE Cooktop in 2019 and the knobs are plastic. I wasn't aware of this issue until they started to get marred. I did call and let them know and they sent me new ones but they got marred up too. Since I've been using this cooktop 2 years the knobs are not melting. I've tried several times trying to contact GE but their website errors out and my complaint is never submitted.
I now have to find the part number to replace the cooktop knobs with stainless steel.
Dishwasher
Remodeled my home in 2019, complete kitchen upgrade. Top of the line GE appliances throughout the kitchen. Dishwasher model #PDT785SYN0FS, GE's top of the line dishwasher, over $1, 000 price appliance. Started having trouble with the machine just after the 1 year warrantee had lapsed... Dishwasher was not completing the cycle, not drying the dishes and the front panel readout just went blank. The front panel usually tells you where you are at during the washing cycle, then a sound to alert you that the dishes are clean with a readout "CLEAN" on the front panel. Very nice when it worked. The technician came out and messed around with the drain line, for some reason, as I was telling him that the washer drains fine that the issue is that the washing cycle just stops and is getting worse. I even told him that I think it needs a new computer module. After taking all the doors off of my cabinets and messing around with the drain line, as he approached the 1 hour service mark, he simply said that all it needed was a software update. Took him about 2 minutes to update the software. Charged me over $200 to do this service.
The technician was very nice, I have absolutely no issue with him at all, very professional and courteous. It's GE that I am furious with. This should be something that GE treats like a RECALL, like our cars; you take your car in and the recall is completed free of charge. The technician even said that when enough customers have this same issue that GE will establish a recall and the service would be free of charge. This apparently hasn't happened yet. I have been a customer of GE appliances for nearly 40 years, never again.
The entire service call seemed like something that was taught in a GE Service Technician training session. Took just 1 hour, didn't listen to the customer when I said that it was probably something to do with the computer, and only addressed that as the 1 hour service time neared and then he pushed a button on his laptop and the new software loaded up. What a song and dance. As he left he said, "If this ever happens again just unplug it for about an hour, plug it back in, and it should fix itself." Nice advice, but I had already done this and it didn't work.
I will now take the time to write GE and try to get some relief from this service charge. I won't hold my breath though.
Andora gas stove knobs
My GE Andora stove has silver "Plastic film" covered knobs. Because of daily use, the knobs get greasy. I tried to soak them to help get the grease off. Instead of the grease coming off, the silver Plastic film came off exposing a white plastic knob.
This is unacceptable for the price I paid for the stove. If you are not going to put stainless steel knobs on the stove, the plastic should at least be the same color as stainless steel. VERY disappointed and would like replacement knobs.

Refrigerator GYE22HSKFSS S/N # MH511441
Letter dateed 5/3/21 to: https://www.complaintsboard.com/new_complaint/
Refrigerator model gye22hskfss - serial # mh511441. We have had a service contract with assurant (#411464904) on your ge refrigerator model gyehskfss. From this reliability experience with assurant, I have found all of the tv commercials and sales recommendations to purchase an extended warranty are a bunch of crap and they cannot be trusted to do the right thing when the trouble cannot be repaired within reason.
4 different technicians have been here for repair on this over 10 times since new, including return visits to complete repairs which never fixed the trouble. My first complaint was compressor noise but was later was identified in all cases as ice build up in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. All attempts by techs to repair have failed over years. Assurant refuses our demands by phone and chats which state the unit is defective and to have a full replacement on this unit. We have been told replacement is only an option when no parts are available. In our opinion, this is a design error which cannot be repaired. So far, the following repair attempts were made.
There were some visit inspections with no work done. Many times tech connected his laptop in the units rj45 and never identified any evidence of trouble that way. He also did this on his last 4/27/21 visit.
We believe on other visits, by the technician disassembling compartments by fans for inspection resulting in root cause ice melting. We believe the unit was quiet again for a month or so only for ice build up, again causing same noise and sometimes stuck fan resulting in more lost food at times.
Refrig. Fan. Stopped 2 different times due to ice blocking fan. Result: lost food and replaced fan.
Refrig. Same repeating fan noises from same refrig. Compartment fan that was replaced.
Refrig. Back panel replaced twice with re-designed parts per tech.
Refrig. Back panel at crisper drawers area replaced with re-designed parts per tech.
Freezer. First occurrence of fist size block of ice removed from below freezer fan
Freezer. Second occurrence 4/27/21: fist size block of ice removed from below freezer fan and ice damaged fan blades.
Refrig. Following the 4/27/21 repair visit, on 5/2/21 10:26 pm, we were woken from sleep by loud fan noise again. I had to disassemble the refrig. Compartment unit and make my own repairs (melting ice) in the middle of the night to stop the noise at 10:45. Then re-assemble. On his last visit the technician should have disassembled the refrig. Compartment to melt the ice again, and then we wouldn't have been woken on 5/2/21.
I told the technician, "this thiing is a boat anchor. I do-not even have a good conciense to buy another refrigerator and sell this thing to anyone. It is defective. It needs to be replaced……" "tech stated hed doesn't have authority to recommend replacement. They will not listen to him." I provided a letter and asked him to give it to his boss…..
5/3/21 10am, another box of parts just arrived for the next 5/5/21 repair visit. I'll be curious to see if the definition of "crazy" is met if some of the parts again, are the same as those already replaced 1 or 2 times before…..
I have videos and photo's I can send you.
This refrigerator is obviously defective and cannot be permanently repaird. We demand this unit be replaced. Frustration, anxiety, noise, lost food, 5/2/21 I even had to disassemble make my own repairs (melting ice) in the middle of the night to stop the noise which wouldn't go away for over 19 minutes.
Escalet this complaint to your senior levels.

Freezer model- FUF21SMREWW serial LR615604
Purchased new freezer in August 2020 from Topline Appliances in Melbourne, FL. It was delivered on 8/21/20 at which time the door handle did not fit . On first service call, Technician, Cory could not attach handle, ordered new screw which were sent to my address. Second service call, Cory could not attach handle, ordered new handle and screws. Third call he said he would have to order new door. Weeks later new door was left at my front door. It was a very large, heavy package and I was unable to get it to garage. ( I am an 83 yr. old widow) and had to get neighbors to move it. Cory once again came to install door and did not have a tool he needed to move Temp indicator so door was again boxed. He told me he would borrow the tool from another technician and would come back as soon as he got it to do the job, not to bother with scheduling another appt. it would only be a few days. One month later, door still in box .Cory-- no show. Please do not send Cory again, he is not truthful or competent.
Desired outcome: I would like to get the door installed. Freezer was not cheap. Didn't get what I paid for.
