Hotel booking done in website showed a price and collected 800% higher price during payment
It’s a hoax website as they are showing USD $676 to be paid in the first page and collected my Personal details and Card details and charged me USD $3457 from the card paid.

Desired outcome: No proper customer care response and escalations are not clear to customer care. This will need to be addressed as it has literally stolen money from me.

They claim to have refunded my money 100% percentage but NO. This is completely not professional behaviour.

My wife booked us 3 nights today for Aug 5-8 at the SF Marriott at Fisherman's Warf. She sent me the confirmation and it was $1800 a night. I called the Marriott and booked directly at $330 a night. She immediately phoned www.getaroom.com and they told her she needed to cancel the reservation 2 days prior to them being made. How is this even possible? They're criminal. STAY CLEAR.

My wife booked us 3 nights at the SF Marriott Fisherman's Warf for August 5-8, 2022. When she sent me the confirmation code today, I fell out of my chair. $1800 USD per night. I was just on the Marriott website and it was only $330 USD per night. I booked directly with the hotel and asked her to cancel with getaroom.com. When she spoke to getaroom.com, they told her she needed to cancel before 5/25, 2 days prior to making the booking. How is this possible? She now has a pending $7800 charge on her credit card. BBB and all other online review indicate you should NEVER, under ANY circumstances, do business with getaroom.com.

Fraudulent platform/phishing
To who it may concerns
I made the reservation on a 4-star hotel site. I thought I was booking directly to Santa Eulália suite hotel&spa, Albufeira, Portugal throught a link opened on this site to the hotel reservation center.
Only the next day we did find out the reserve was made to a 2-star hotel called urban hotel Santa eulália, Albufeira, Portugal, a not considered hotel by any of us.
We call both hotels, and both assumed it might be due to an informatic bug/problem on close names, because that happened before.
We found out that the room paid for was sold to hotelsbed plataforma that sold it to getaroom plataforma. We got this information provided by Urban hotel and didn´t visit any of these two plataforms.
After we explain what happened, the Urban hotel immediately canceled the reservation but they asked for us to take care of the money return with a company online called getaroom, whict we didnt even knew, in order to receive our Money back.
The difficulty we are having in our Money return start to looking now more than a simple informatic bug, since nobody cant help us in order to get our money back and we really don´t know who to ask.
So, assuming this is a valid email, and actually our only contact for that purpose, we want to proceed with this process demanding cancellation and full return money for the reasons above. We already have a cancellation free of charge issued from the Urban hotel, all we need now is our Money return.
I expected to hear from you and receive a total refund on my nephew credit card HugoJouanny that was provided for reserve.

Incorrect Start Date on Hotel
I booked a hotel on 5/19/22 for 6/18-6/22 2022. The reservation incorrectly started on May 19th. The only reason I was made aware of this is because the hotel told me we were a no show.
This is absolutely crazy. On the website when filing a complaint, "incorrect start date" is one of them. This is clearly an ongoing issue that the company needs to fix ASAP. I expect a full refund or my dates to be accurately booked at the hotel or I will be filing a dispute with my credit card as this is both fraud and no goods were received.

Refunding one of my many bookings
I booked 4 rooms over the phone with refundable policy except for one extra room (a 5th room) that the person on the phone said i would be able to get a full refund because they screwed up and booked it without the refund policy but told me, on a recorded line, i would have no issue cancelling it if i just called customer service. well that was all FALSE. i have been given the run around for over 9 days now with no manager to talk to. i have called the hotel to speak to the General manage directly but she has been on vacation. i think this company is a SCAM and be careful to go through them! you should always book directly through the hotel because they are not out to get you like these companies are.

Hotel for hookers and drug dealers, site wont refund us.
We booked a hotel, and 15 minutes later when we arrived, we were literally greeted by a guy doing a drug deal in the lobby and a prostitute propositioning people. The hotel lobby was made out of old plywood, and the guy at the front "desk" was using his personal laptop to try checking us in. After that failed for a few minutes we asked if we could just cancel the booking, since he had a long line of freaky people waiting. He said no problem, the website would refund us.
Called them immediately after leaving the hotel, and they said that because I didn't get the guys name and title, they would charge me a $295 dollar cancelation fee. It has been less than 30 minutes since I booked!
Be very wary of this company. They shift blame to the hotel, which shifts blame to them, but at the end of the day, the getaroom scam is they charged the card, and refuse to provide any support or refunds.

Hi, I booked a room but I had to cancel it. I have been unable to get help to clear this up. I had them help me with the cancellation. Booking issues
May 16th 2022. I have booked reservations for hotel and i called the hotel they said they are not connected. This getaroom charged me 300 dollars for nothing. And i am not able to reach or call them to refund my money.
I feel scammed!
Booked online for a Days Inn in Ottawa West. Monday May 2 to stay that night and the next for a colleague and myself - from my cell phone. Thought I was on the official website, but I was not! When I received the confirmation it was already too late to cancel - same day and already checked in by the time I saw the email. I was charged the proper nightly room rate for both rooms but there was an extra $251.56 in "Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees". What?! There is also a line stating Private Membership Total. What membership? I need this bill adjusted and a credit issued asap for everything other than the nightly rate and the proper taxes - by my calculation that is approx. $ 180-200 depending on current tourism taxes/night.
Desired outcome: Refund everything that is not the nightly rate and legitimate taxes.
Still no follow up or information. This is a phishing scam in my opinion and am now reporting it as such.

I purchased message through Groupon, then went to the hotels site and reserved a room as well for 2 days. Once the reservation was complete, although I went through the resorts site, realized it was sent to a third party site. After realized this I researched the site to see that there are many bad reviews due to the false advertisement that I was getting the reservation through the hotel directly, through the groupon link that was provided. I tried to change my reservation and did read through the terms and conditions and are not what is stated that can be done once talking to the representative. This is a scam and will fight to get my money back as they are stating there is nothing that can be done to change the reservation as stated on the terms, I will also report this to the BBB as well as the police as this is a SCAM as reported by many!

5/10/22- I booked a room for 3 nights at the Hilton Washington and then cancelled five minutes later not realizing It was charged as pre-pay. Called up to get a refund and they said no refunds and also I didn't have a room either. Fraudulent booking practices
Zero stars! Same story as everyone else on here. My husband booked a room for my daughter and I. He thought he was on the actual Hampton Inn website only to realize that he was not. We were charged an extra $150.00 for that "tax crap". Here's the kicker, we cancelled within 5 minutes of the reservation and my husband was told he wasn't getting a refund. So now we are out $460.00 and no room for my daughter and I this coming weekend! This is absolutely total fraud! Using the "hotel website", thinking it's legitimate...
FYI, I informed Hampton Inn about getaroom.com's "business practices" and I was told that we need to really check the website address. If it doesn't say http//, blah, blah, blah. You shouldn't have to do something like this! IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HAMPTON INN'S WEBSITE! Unfortunately, they seem to be using other hotel websites and doing the exact same thing...
We are disputing the charges with our credit card company! Never in my life have I been this frustrated. And why is no one doing anything about this company?!?! I have read so many complaints! They were sued in 2020 and the complainant won, yet they are still up to their fraudulent activities!

Waiting for response on refund. Booked online through what I thought was Bethesdan Hotel website which redirected to Getaroom. I called Bethesdan to cancel and it took a very long time to find my reservation then they told me I didn’t book it through Hilton. I said no I went online to your hotel which I then found out was getaroom third party. Several calls and emails without resolution. Never heard of such such a scam of non refundable hotel room. Reservation never made money taken for reservations
May 8th I spoke to a representative at CC I get it room.com in order for me to reserve a room I had to have money on my card I had the money put on my card as we spoke because she said that she didn't want to hang up from me until the reservation was complete the money was taken off my card it was canceled the first time around second time that they declined it and the third time it is now in pending transaction which I never got my reservation made because he said that it waited too long that they needed to do a new reservation which would have been more money that I needed to have put on my card I have the receipts from my cash app of $156.47 that was sent to me by my friend Sherry kinder Millsap for a specifically the reservations I have the web receipt for that I have the time on that and the time of my phone call with getaroon.com have all the screenshots I wouldn't want to know why they're holding my money I was told that they their ones that have to cancel the transactions the merchant has to cancel depending transaction and they will not do that because I have not been able to get in contact with them every time I try to speak with somebody they hang up on me I'm very upset they wanted the money then they got the money then and now they won't give it back I have no receipts for reservations I have no email no text message or nothing they just canceled the reservation before I could do anything they took the money and canceled if you look at the times that I am going to show you as these receipts that I'm sending you will see that I am not in the wrong they are this has ruined a 30-year friendship because the person that sent me the money thinks I stole her money and not gave her a place to lay her head here in Vegas I'm very distraught please help immediately please thank you May 8th at 6:00-03 p.m. is about when the transaction started I will send you the screenshots of what I have
