Hotel has no record of my reservation
After booking a reservation online I received confirmation that my reservation was confirmed for my date and location. I seen my card was charged. I called the hotel to confirm my stay as it is 2 days away and they have no record of my reservation. I've called getaroom and was hung up on by customer service. Called again and was told "yes we see you have confirmed a reservation and that it is not seen at the hotel" and then transferred me. Have tried getting through to someone to help me and no ones has been answering the customer service line. I've paid the money and my stay in in 2 nights. I am not happy with this service at all.
Desired outcome: I want my reservation confirmed with the hotel or a full refund.

Credit card charge
My credit card was charged for a 3 day stay in a hampton Inn and a manager at priceline agreed to remove the charge. Then they told me l had to contact getaroom. Getaroom said visa had placed a dispute on it. I had the dispute removed. I can not reach an agent at getaroom. This has been going on since the end of March with absolutely NO satisfaction even though l was told by Priceline that the charge would be removed due to the circumstances! I am a senior on very little income. This has been so stressful to me. I can't believe a company could be this cold hearted to a senior like me!

I booked the reservation and called the hotel(Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel) reception to see if they can change my reservation.
I informed them the confirmation number and every information about my reservation(name, schedules, email address, etc), but they told me that there is no reservation with such information. They told me that when a customer books through a third-party site, they should be able to check the reservation information after 10~15 minutes.
I reached your customer care by phone, and the operator said that you cannot process the refund because the hotel is holding the payment, but the hotel said that they only charge us at the check-out. Also, The hotel not having the reservation still means that it's your company that's holding my money, not the hotel, and your customer care service was providing invalid information.
Knowing something is wrong, I googled around to find that there's a lot of people who had similar experiences.
I paid $456.67 to your site, and we do not have an actual reservation yet, meaning you did not fulfill the contract on your end so I rightfully request a full refund for my reservation. And I do not want your company to proceed or do anything further with our reservation besides giving us a full refund.
I booked this hotel and used your site for my honeymoon with my wife,
but it became a nightmare even before the wedding all because of this incident.
Please take care of this for us just once!

Dear Sirs,
I booked a room in Vancouver at Holiday Inn on the 12th. I never got confirmation that this process was completed so I waited and rebooked 2 days later. I got an email this time stating it was booked . I discovered the email in the spam I phoned your company and she said that I couldn’t get either 1 taken off. I had to pay for both rooms, 2 adults, and 2 rooms , same hotel and same night . I called again a couple days before our stay and spoke to another person. She said the same thing. Lies and more lies!
On April 25, 2022, I went to the Home 2 Suites Hilton website to book 3 nights at the hotel in Bowling Green Ohio for September 30th 2022. Minutes after I booked it I realized that the hotel was in Bowling Green Kentucky. The website was not made clear otherwise I would have noticed. I right away called customer service and asked if I could change the location to Ohio. The customer service did not speak clear English so it was hard to understand her and when I asked her to help she kept putting me on hold for at least 10 to 15 minutes each time. I just told her to cancel the booking as I was not going to Kentucky. I called again and another lady who could not speak well said that she could not give me a refund and because I cancelled the hotel that she could not give me a refund. I told her all I wanted was to transfer it to Ohio. Amanda said it was their policy that they do not refund the money. I told her so I just loose $735.00 for nothing. Yes that is what she said. When I booked this hotel I had no idea it was a third party booking. This website makes it look like you are booking directly with the hotel. I want my money back asap as I am not accepting this kind of treatment. This company is insane to think that they can treat so many people so horrible. I come from a family of attorneys so they will be in contact with the getaroom.com and get my money back. This fraud has to stop! Also I just noticed on my confirmed booking the time is 4pm. On my cancellation time it says 3:07 pm! So how did my cancellation time have a sooner time than my actual booking time. Plus, I made this reservation in the morning that day.

Billed for cancellation plus tax recovery and cleaning charges
We made reservations via toll-free number on March 19, 2022 at the Tru by Hilton Hotel in Oxford Mississippi. The reservations were for June 23-27, so approximately 60 days prior to arrival. Within hours we realized that the dates for our trip had to be changed so we called to cancel our reservations. At no time in either phone call was there any mention of there being a non-refundable policy. We thought we were dealing directly with Hilton! Were we surprised to discover that we had been billed $716.00 on our credit card! We tried to call hotelvalues (who sent us notice of cancellation and billing) to no success — no phone nor website. But I did notice complaints against Getaroom.com and traced them as being the company who made the reservations. After failed attempts at calling Getaroom, we contacted our credit card company and filed a dispute. Just heard back from Capital One who said no cancellation policy was on Getaroom's website therefore there was nothing they could do. But this policy was not stated in two phone calls! How were we to know? I should also mention that we are held liable for $216 of tax recovery & service fees which are the estimated amount "we pay the hotel for occupancy related taxes owed by the hotel and any amount charged to us for resort fees, cleaning fees, and other fees." How can we be charged occupancy and cleaning fees when we're not in the room? Getaroom.com or hotelvalues.com is a SCAM!

Deceptive business practices
This website misled me to believe i was booking directly with the hotel. Several attempts to request for an invoice was ignored. They reply with suspicious company names 'Guest Reservation or hotelvalues.com'. When i called the actual hotel, they denied any affiliations with this website and advised to book directly with the hotel website. The actual hotel does not have a no refund cancellation policy as claimed by getaroom.com.

Getaroom mirrors official websites. I thought I was booking a Holiday Inn. Instead I was upcharged an extra $95+ in fees! Buyer beware!

April 2022. When my online attempt to book accommodation failed I rang the number provided on the website, which was Getaroom. After taking my credit card details I was placed on hold- I was not given a reservation number. So they took my money and I did not get a reservation. My three follow up calls assured me the charges would be reversed within 48 hours, did not happen. An email to their escalations department asking for the refund remains unanswered. They can see they have taken the money, and they can see I do not have a reservation. What a scam

Scam company do not use
Just one of the many people added to the list of being ripped off by this scam company. I am seeking legal counsel. This company is a fraud and scammed me out of 2700, i did not authorize them to proceed with the booking and use my credit card. Charged for a room i never used.

Double charge.
On Dec. 30 we were booking a room through getaroom.com. Due to a power outage, the charge did not show up when we logged back on. Therefore, we booked it again. Early the next morning, we saw our bank account had been charged. We immediately contacted them to request a cancellation of one of the reservations.
In addition, their own rules state: (#27) "You acknowledge that you may not hold duplicate reservations for the same hotel for overlapping dates under the same guest name."
Instead of working with us, it appears they were ready to take advantage of us. Why would a husband-and-wife book two rooms on the same night? It appears the right thing to do would be to work with the customer and ensure they would come back. However, that will not happen because they have shown the type of company they are.
Desired outcome: I would like the $119,00 refunded.

DOUBLE CHARGE
On 26, I check-in a room at InterContinental Parnas for 4 Days 3 Nights (from 26 May 2022 - 29 May 2022). My online booking have charged 100% to credit card amounting USD1,318.20 (Booking Ref - GM5I06419NLVE0 / R34137259d78). However, there is another booking by my company under my name, and hotel charged me on that booking as well. After checking with the hotel manager, they asked me to contact Getaroom to cancel the booking, and they will release the penalty. Hotel booking
On April 18, 2022 I mistakenly booked an incorrect date for a Washington DC hotel using Getaroom.com. I booked September 18, 2022 and needed September 19, 2022. I called immediately to get the reservation changed and was told by customer service that I would need to book the correct night and the refund for the incorrect night could be requested, but not guaranteed.
I have now been on hold for over an hour to try and get this resolved.

3 days cancellation of rooms “need to be refunded”
Doing business with Priceline, getaroom or consumer club inc is prohibited! They will ripped your pocket let you pay and they do not refund. Too much extra fees, accidental fees, taxes etc. they have hidden agenda they don’t give you the contact number coz they said it’s not allowed, they will tell you lies, more alibis. Go to the hotel directly and talk to the concierge or front desk in that way you will not be victimized with this scammers! They have so much class lawsuit against them. Please help me to get my refund. We book 3 days hotel room at Homewood Suite by Hilton at Mt. Pleasant last March 31. We cancelled the booking after 2 hours. The hotel accommodate us but the problem is the getaroom.com will not refund us for 3 days we paid $740.05. Reservation #R3317105155. I went onto the Hampton Inn website for Owings Mills Maryland and searched for a room. I saw one available for $126 and clicked on the button to book it for two nights. I didn’t realize that I had been flipped over to a third-party reservation company and thought I was still booking through the Hampton Inn website. I went through the reservation process and submitted it only to realize afterward that I had been charged an extra $109 in “tax recovery charges and service fees.” There was nothing that popped up on my phone to tell me that I was being taken to a third-party site, and nothing clearly stated that this was also a nonrefundable reservation. Because I originally thought I was booking through the hotel, I was looking for a receipt from the Hampton Inn and couldn’t find one in my emails. I called Hampton only to be told that I’d booked through a third-party, Getaroom.com. I called the third party and was then told it was a non-refundable reservation. I am now paying $360 for a room that was only supposed to be $250. What a scam! The consumer should receive a pop-up message that tells them they are being taken to a third-party website to help them be aware of who they are dealing with, and $109 in additional fees is absolutely outrageous. I will never use Hampton Inn or Getaroom.com again, i’ll be telling everyone I know about what a scam this whole situation was.

I made this reservation thinking it was through the Coast Hotels website, it wasnt. Very misleading. Was charged 100 dollars for 2 nights for taxes and additional charges on top of room fee. Called to complain and they stated they would give 20% discount, turned into 288.92 USD which was 3 dollars more in CAD funds then the initial booking was. Read all these terrible reviews and called them again, within hours of booking to get a full refund because this company is very shady. Booking is in 3 days and they said 5-7 days to make a decision which would be 2-4 days after my check in date.
Who in their right mind states no refund the day before the booking was made? I deal with bookings snd hotels.com and nothing like this ever happens. EVER. Never deal with them again. None of this information was made available till after. Very misleading website.

Thought I was on hampton inn's site official site but after I was charged #1116 on my card for a room I booked for oct. I knew there was a problem. Called customer service and was told that since I was cancelling within 24 hrs. It should not be a problem but I had to cancel right then, was put on hold and the person who I could barely understand comes back and said they canceled my room and I still have to pay for it. I was lied to by customer service and now they have my money and I have no room. This company is a scam just google them as the bbb gives them 1 star and there are thousands of complaints. Going to let hampton inn know as this is making them look bad as well.

My Complaint is regardiing a room reservation I made on April 13, 2022 at approximately 14:55 with a confirmation number of R3313786492. I believed that I was making a reservation through a hotel website, but was somehow diverted to getaroom.com and did not realize this until I received the email receipt with a $97.49 service fee. Never was I aware of this until I received the bill. Very shady and deceptive trade practices on the part of getaroom.com.

Same issue. Super shady. Contacted them within 17 minutes of getting a confirmation for a reservation I never submitted and now they are charging me 3200$. They said I have to have someone from the hotel approve a credit. I am doing that so hopefully they will abide by what they said; I will dispute charge on cc if they don't credit.
