lost item
Dear Team,
I am writing to you expressing my severe disappointment regarding a precious list item that happened to take place at one of your gym premises.
On Sat the 29th of July I was at Gold's gym Maadi branch and what happened that I used to put on one of my wireless headphones while working out and at the chest free weight area I had to take it off due to one of the exercises that I can't complete while I have something over my head, accidentally I forgot the headset on the chest bar and left, after that I realized that there are cameras all over the gym and I called the lost and found department who said no one handed over any headphones and I was surprised... Then I called the Gym manager Amgad who said that he will look for this as there are cameras as far as me and him are aware of and we can identify who took the headphones!
After half an hour he called me back saying that the cameras were broken and they got fixed on the 30th of August and unfortunately he can't locate the lost item! Here I was shocked due to the following:
- all cameras were working except the area that I lost the item at
- the camera got fixed the 2nd day of the incident (what a councednce)
- who took the headphones I am sorry to tell someone is aware that the cameras were not working, bear in mind that I will believe the above story!
I asked Amgad to recheck as the headphones are valuable ones and they cost around 5000 EGP and sent him a pic of them waiting for him to contact me back, however he didn't bother till i sent him back asking for updates and he said that he can't locate it and he left a message to the staff with the pic of the headphones in order if anyone saw the headphones he can report it
What a shame to have such a valuable item to be lost at your premises due to poor surveillance and follow up from your end, why do you guys fund money for cameras where there are no use for them, may I know the reason of installing cameras at the gym?
I would appreciate if someone from your end can get back to me with a convenient solution cause this is causing me frustration and I can't accept it
I have pics for the conversation with the gym manager and a pic for the headphones that I can share upon your request
Thanks and waiting for someone to get in touch with me

Just a waste :
Golds gym is just a waste. there is no professionalism whether its a trainer or staff. ALL they are concerned is about money . No one cares about assisting proactively or proper guidance.
Over crowded and stinky:
The gym in Bur Dubai absolutely stinks,
No water glasses:
They stopped giving disposable water glass on the pretext of going Green. This is nothing more than a cost-saving trick. Should you forget to carry your bottle, then you either buy one for yourself or remain thirsty through the workout.
Trainers: The trainers are only interested in find customers who would subscribe to personal training. They will not guide you otherwise.
Ridiculous ! Just do yourself a favor - Pay more and go to Fitness First or other decent gyms, but not this one!
Cancel : For cancelling they will not guide you properly. they need a VISA cancel certificate for gym membership cancellation. Who on this earth will cancel his/her VISA for cancelling member ship. its our money and if we don't want to continue they should cancel it in 1 shot and refund pending money.
I don't even think the trainers are qualified enough. Their physical standards are also like they also need some exercise.
I WOULD NOT SUGGEST GOLDS GYM AT ALL TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO LEARN AND ENJOY WITH MONEY THEY INVEST.
cancellation
I told GOLDS GYM on the day that I made my registration that My husband will be transferred and they say that I can cancel when I 'll move. 3 months later I send a letter ask for they cancel and show them my new address. Surprised! now they don't stop to send letters and call me for a pay something that I'm not use, I move to another state. . And they don't cancel my account! I proved I moved. They make the consumers to believe that they can cancel at anytime. When these consumers subsequently try to cancel their membership, they are denied and continue to be charged ...please help me, they are driving me crazy. I just want cancel this contract pleaseeee
unprofessional
On a number of accounts myself and some friends have worked out at this gym only to
Be harassed by a insecure overweight trainer named Edward spivey. On every occasion he will make a point to try and act like a hoe making little commments and laughing while starring directly at you. When confronted he cowards runs to his other insecure friends who to are also insecure and then acts like nothing. be a professional control your insecurities you are the help at the gym
the general manager
For two months now I have been trying to cancel my membership. On Friday August 4th I was told my account was canceled I was charged on the 8th another $30. I called today the 9th. The general manager at the Charlestown Gold's Gym spoke extremely disrespectfully towards me. I said all I wanted was my account cancelled and my $30 refunded. He continued to speak down to me and then hung up on me.
gold's gym - tahlia female branch in jeddah-ksa
The gym is poorly equipped most of the time, machines are out of service, classes canceled, trainers absent, no towels available. The most absurd thing is missing clips that holds the weights to the bars, that small plastic rings. The staff claims that the customers STOLE them so we can't use the bars or do any classes that need weights unless you come 2 hours before the class to BOOK your clipse and by the way they only have 17 YES seventeen clips ONLY at the facility.l have never ever seen such lack of professionalism or such loose management as I have witnessed in this place. It's a shame to have it linked to Golds gym at all. Very bad experience will never join again or recommend it to anyone
membership/manager issues
This is the most poorly run facility in the United States. Deception and lies constantly. I was never told upon signing up that cancellation wasn't an option. I have now been trying to freeze my account for over a month which still hasn't been processed. I was never told that freezing the account also meant extending the contract, and that I would have to pay almost $200 in fees to do so. On too of that, the manger i had to deal with was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Asking me how much I spend on my clothes, makeup, and my other bills and telling me to stop spending money on those things so I could afford to pay for my membership. As if I didn't have any other bills to pay. He told me to cut everything else out of my budget. When I told him I could not and that I needed to cut this membership out of my budget, he then told me I should find a sugar daddy so I can pay for it. I should sue for SEXual harassment. Telling me to [censor] myself out so that I can pay for their gym IS extremely inappropriate, yet I have no way of contacting corporate. He was cussing at me and laughing like it was funny I couldn't afford to pay $100 a month to use their gym. If I have any further issues, i plan to file harrassmeny charges against this gym for the way they spoke to me and dealt with my issues. In my opinion, this entire company should be shut down. They are the most manipulative and unprofessional gym facility in the United States. I sincerely hope they start treating their customers like they are human beings and not just money bags for them to use and abuse. I am disgusted.
unethical behavior
Hello! I have a complaint at the group exercise instructor because she mentioned at the class I'm little... or very tiny! It's just disappointing because I get to exercise there and not to be insulted. I paid the a whole year membership to exercise and to follow the instructor not get insulted. I've been to any others gym like 24 hour fitness and LA fitness but this is my first time I get insulted by the instructor! I go to Golds Gym Monterey!

misleading sales representation
When I applied for a membership, I made sure I asked if this was a contract and how does it works when I need to cancel just in case I cannot afford it or it was no longer needed. The sales representative assured me that there was no contract and that it was free cancellations at any time. I went to cancel the membership not too long ago and they told me I was in a one year contract so I could not cancel it, I would have to continue paying it monthly. I assured the manager that that's not what the employee told me he told me I could cancel anytime. The manager told me there was nothing he could do. I would have never signed up for the membership if I knew that. These employees and managers of gold's gym are very unprofessional.
membership
I have been a member for a few years and paying a rate of $10 a month plus tax which was like $11.91 total I think. Just last month I was billed $15 something and found out that was my new amount. I never received an email, phone call, letter, or anything. They just decided to take more money from my account without my consent. $3 dollars and some change isn't a big deal at all but it's the principle of it that you just take more money out of my account with no notice. Really? That's my first issue. Secondly, I signed a contract for $10 a month and it was even explained to me that I would only pay $10 a month for as long as I was a member so apparently I was lied to. Third issue, I have spoke to an operations manager, a GM, and I don't know the 3rd persons position, but they all said that rates just increased and there was nothing they could do for me. I was nice on the phone and they were a little rude and had a little attitude like they could care less. What kind of customer service does this gym teach? I used to be a GM at LaFitness a few years ago and I am well aware of how a gym should be ran. Apparently they just put anyone in charge these days. I would love to keep my membership at the same $10 rate because that's what I agreed to and that's what I was explained to me when I signed up. I am a member of a few different gyms bc I travel a lot for work and have ran my own gym. This is the worst most unprofessional customer service I ever had up to this point. I have already started the cancellation process and can use gym until Sept 22. I would love to speak to someone higher up than the people I already had to deal with. Maybe I just talked with a few bad apples that don't give a care in the world about their job and position.

fraudulent charges by gold's gym ellisville, missouri
Today, my bank account showed charges for $918.80 and $39.05 relative to dues payments for the aforementioned location. The problem is, my family never had a membership at this location (my son had an account there for a short time, his membership was paid for through his bank account).
I contacted the Ellisville location and spoke to the manager on duty, she mentioned that they 'found' updated debit card information and charged the account the aforementioned amounts. This is again problematic because this is an account held jointly by my wife and I and not my son.
I absolutely gave Gold's NO PERMISSION to access my account nor had I expressed any interest in assuming this debt. I believe these are fraudulent charges, I consider the money stolen and would appreciate its return immediately. I will be submitting a fraud claim with Bank of America.

membership
I was told that I could cancel my membership anytime when I first signed up, however a manager I spoke to told me that I had to wait one year. I waited a year and I talked to many managers regarding my cancellation. I no longer have my key tag and I've been charged twice for this month's memebership. I've already came into the location several times, and I've emailed them regarding my cancellation. I'm tired of being ignored at this location. I want my damn refund and a confirmation of my cancellation.
unprofessional behavior
To whom concern:
Yesterday around 12:30pm at Gold Gym in Islip New York I was shamefully humiliated threatened and disrespected by Cathys health Cafe owner and her partener ( boyfriend). They rent a space in the fitness center. I am being thrown out of there it was so cold to the manager attention and he failed to do anything about it. I will go to the end with this embarrass situation I fell so scared from those people very rude and aggressive and in this gym they have day care too and they don't even care. I have to scream to get the other people attention because thouse 2 people thought I will be silence but I did call the police and make a report and I'm going to do whatever I could to let everyone know the behavior from those scary big person and also she was bulling on me the way I look and told me to get a Tummy tuck to make myself look better. I'm Spanish but I know my right and No body has the right to discriminate me specially a Nutricioinist selling healthy food.
end of membership
I had a golds membership, I moved to a place that does not have a golds gym so I had to cancel my membership I called golds gym in Idaho falls and asked how to do that they told me I had to bring in proof of move and pay the last of my bills, I took a special trip down to Idaho falls just to get everything taken care of. I gave them everything they asked for and they had me fill out a form and sign it, I asked if there was anything else I had to do, the employee assured me that was all he needed and that my membership was canceled, I asked twice just to make sure, he again assured me everything was done. 2 months later I get a text message saying my bills are passed to I called to ask why I got that message, they said it showed that my account had been canceled but apparently I didn't pay a fee I was supposed to, I asked multiple times if I had anything else I had to do, if there was a fee I would have payed it but the employee said everything was taken care of, I reached out to the manager and he said it was a cancellation request form, I followed my terms I was there to do whatever they needed yet now I have new charges and they are saying my account isn't closed so I'm supposed to pay for their employees mistake, I should be able to trust that when they tell me nothing else needed to be done, that that meant NOTHING else needed to be done. I should not be responsible for your employee not being informed on the process I do not work for golds I am to trust those that do know what they are doing.
Gold’s Gym in Idaho Falls has very poor customer service to anyone that is trying to cancel their membership. They are your best friend when you are signing up though. Their contracts are deceitful, and all the truly care about is making money.
credit card charges
For the past several months I have not been assisting to the gym since I moved out to a different city+have called the facility to ask if I was in a contract they said no i'm not but I still had to complete a form in which I asked if it can be fax. Because for a while I didn't have a car. Therefore, I didn't want to keep paying for something im not using. I was told it was going to be cancelled by april however, nothing has happen other than keep charging me. I was a member of golds gym for many years... But after this experience I will never join again.
theft from our child/ personal info/no breaks, or lunches given
A series of events from a theft that took place at the golds gym in monterey ca, which led to my fiance phone number given out to the women that stole from our daughter. (Phone # given to them from golds) which led to them calling and harassing us to her getting fired from kid zone. (My fiance worked for golds.)And during her shifts never being offered a break, (paid or unpaid) nor lunches on her longer 6+ hour shifts. We have already contacted a labor attorney, but thought maybe just explain the situation to corporate before this goes to trial, litigation, or just plain too far. Hopefully we can come to some sort of solution for this situation that got very out of hand.

unable to use unused personal trainer sessions
I joined Golds Gym in September 2015, and the sales manager sold me 12 personal training sessions with $56.50 per session. He said the membership will expire but Personal training sessions never expires. I only used 6 sessions with 6 sessions unused. Golds Gym refused to refund me these unused sessions. On May 25, 2017, I called Golds Gym to see if I could try out a class, I was told to go online and get a classpass for it. But when I arrived at the Golds Gym Westlake Austin location, Mr. Frank Kennedy insisted that I needed to activate my membership on the spot in order to use the facility and my classpass was not allowed. He also said all my unused personal training sessions are expired regardless they were used or not. He was rude and kept saying unless you sign a new membership right now otherwise you can not try out a class. I feel that Golds Gym owes me 6 personal training sessions or $339 and an apology. This is the worst experience ever! This guy Frank Kennedy is the worst employee Golds Gym has.
