Gold's Gym music choice

I go to golds gym arboretum in Midlothian va the music is becoming more and more monotonous and lacks diversity Some of the lyrics on the hip hop workout station are not appropriate i.e. shake your [censored] I have only heard hiphop in the last few yrs I have been a member When I first joined I heard hip hop but also some other genres of music pop etc The ethnic mix of this gym is by no means all African American
There are white Asian and Hispanic members I have heard plp complain privately but there is no reason to go to management as all complaints are turned back on the person making the complaint. If someone complains about the temperature being 71-74 degrees in May when it is 78 outside well management says others are cold.

I don't understand why music representing only 1 ethnicity is being played African Americans only make up approx. 50% of the membership
It leads one to conclude that other races are not welcome . Also there are a good number of members who range from late fifties to eighties. The music in no way reflects their tastes

Gold's Gym the daycare for children

The daycare person who was in the room yesterday and today July 26, 3018 was so extremely rude! Yesterday when I dropped my son he was the only one in there which made him nervous he's only 1 years old so he was crying. He'll easily warm up and play if you interact with him... which she didn't. Instead she let him cry and calls 10 mins on the intercom stating I need to come get him. Obviously I was annoyed and I left. The next day I come in she smirks and try's to put on a big smile. My older son with me and my toddler this time so I had no issues. When my older son let her know my toddler needed a diaper change she didn't even call to let me know instead she tells him to wait for me. So my son was sitting in a dirty diaper until I came to get them which was about 35-40 minutes. I will be complaining to the store manager about her. I just wanted everyone to aware if you plan to bring your child!

Gold's Gym membership

The credit card I was using to pay got stolen and I went to pay off my bill and cancel my membership with another card. A month after my membership was supposed to be over they try to Bill my old card again. I go in and speak with the manager who told me to ignore them and that my bill was paid. The next month I get the same emails about payment so I have to go in again to golds gym where the guy told me that my last months payment I still had to pay. They didn't save my newer card on file for did they even know that I had an outstanding balance for three months later... I dealt with the manager Everytime and he was very rude and unprofessional. It took me three trips to golds gym to cancel my membership completely...

Gold's Gym customer service

I am a current member as well as a community member. I have not had a great introduction from the management staff at all. After I paid my initial money, I have gotten a cold shoulder. Even worse, I came in with another community partner to just try and speak with management about trying to partner and fill a job opening and they gave us the run around. I am very disappointed and upset that management would be so rude to the community.

Gold's Gym broken machines

I recently joined Golds Gym in Ballwin, Missouri because Club fitness closed. I was excited because on face value it looked like a better and more quality Gym for the price (3 times more than I paid at Club Fitness). I have been there a little over 2 months and have made many complaints to the front desk and recently to the manager about the three of the 5 treadmills with TV's not working. I don't know why they can't be fixed! Either fix them or put more on the floor with TV's! I know it is not the staff's reluctance to do this. It is upper management for the neglect! I am a paying customer and you should be catering to me not me to you!

Gold's Gym billing / westlake tx manager / customer support

In April of 2017 I called into the WestLake TX location and canceled my membership. I was billed on my credit card for over a year without me noticing until I canceled my card. I am now receiving calls and emails from Gold's Gym about lack of payment. This has become tremendously annoying.

After the first notification from Gold's I immediately reached out to the manager at the Westlake, TX location. (JR Gutierrez) It took a couple of weeks on repeated calling in order to get him on the phone. He then asked me to call my credit card company to get proof of invoicing /payment. I did this. He asked for a week to get more information. It's been over a month now and I've called multiple times now to follow up and JR has not gotten back to me.

The lack of customer service and the lack of follow up by JR have been extremely disappointing. I've reached out via Twitter and still nothing. Please find a way to rectify this situation.

due to the disqualified trainers hired by the gym, i was injured seriously in 5 places.my personal trainer made me carry heavy weights without enough warm up so my shoulder tendon tore.he gave me a lot of steps exercises and jumping and didnt warn me about their impacts on the knees so i got both knees effusion in addition to back and neck chronic spasms, he ignored my pain during sessions and forced me to continue.i have been suffering from these injuries since april and my whole life turned upside down.i complained to the gym the owner said the gym isnt responsible.i complained to you, you forwarded him the email and nothing was resolved.kindly advise.the least they could do to compensate me for this nightmare is to pay back the membership and personal training fees.they didnt offer the services they were supposed to and i got hurt.

https://www.complaintsboard.com/?search=heliopolis
dear sir/madam,
based on the two complaints embedded in the link above, and the medical reports attached, i joined golds heliopolis cairo egypt as a healthy individual and due to the floor trainers, fitness manager and personal trainer negligence, i have been suffering since april from the injuries attached effusion and degenerative lateral meniscus in knees, lumbar straightened curve and disc in L3/4 in back, shoulder tendon tear and bursitis also neck spasms which resulted in constant pain and limitations of movement as the doctor report indicates.the negligence is as follows:
-i was pushed into a personal training package that was not good for me by the personal trainer who always convinced me i needed to lose fat although i am only 70 k and i am satisfied with how i look
-the program wasnt suitable for my body and caused me injuries rather than strength
-the floor trainers and the fitness manager didnt warn me about the hazardous impact of jumping and training on steps although i was always complaining from my back and my knees after using them
-i was convinced that no pain no gain and pain was a part of training although it was a warning sign
-although i complained and asked for a refund, my complaints were ignored from the gym owner and golds gym egypt
-finally when i complained to you, both the gym owner and golds gym egypt requested the medical reports which i sent them.
-unfortunately they didnt express their willingness to refund although the damages i suffered from the injuries included leave of absence from work, constant pain, limitations of movement, stomach problems due to medications, weakened body due to injuries, treatment expenses
-golds gym egypt didnt acknowledge the medical reports insisted that a physiotherapist from their side reassess my condition which i totally refuse for many reasons:i had several bad experiences with physiotherapists who worsened my pain because my body makes rebound spasms that are painful, the golds gym staff are biased and i dont think my condition will be treated fairly, i had bad experience with disqualified trainers so of course i will not trust my health with the gym staff.my legal advisor advised me to sue for compensation, treatment expenses, membership and personal training fees although i tried only to get a refund for membership and personal training fees because golds gym experience is supposed to be about wellness and health and customer service should be about satisfying the customer and all i experienced so far is pain.
this trauma has been going on for sometime and im both pshychologically and physically tired by it.i bought a product and it harmed me rather than helped me.i also have stress related allergies and dealing with golds gym egypt has increased such allergies since they lack understanding to the sensitivity of my case and insist on putting me through procedures that i dont approve of to refund my money due to poor service.
your interference in the matter is highly appreciated to resolve the issue especially that i was told by mohamed hassan of golds gym egypt not to communicate with you which contradicts your value of the members free right to complain
kind regards
Rasha

Gold's Gym trainers and management

I have joined Golds Gym Elite San Stefano at Alexandria Egypt yesterday. I was told by the sakes representative that I have four sessions with private training included in the package of one year membership. The documents also states that. He told me that they will call me tomorrow to arrange those sessions.
I went to the gym yesterday and again today. Tiday a trainer approached me and said he will have a trainer with me today. There was time waste and then a trainer joined me and told me what to do for 20 minutes and offered me private training and I showed no interest. He just left me.
I talked to the first trainer who said that today does not count and I have three free sessions only I tokd him no but he insisted.
After the training I talked to the employee in the reception who told me that I have four session not three. He took my name and phone and promised to inform a manager the next day to resolve the problem. After 15 minutes while I was leaving the same employee me tild me that they are three not four and tgar sakes people are confused. I felt very frustrated and asked fir complaint form. They gave me suggesstiin form. I filed the complaint. While writing, another employee told me that they are four sessions not three.
I saw the sales rep who insisted they are four.
I hoped to enjoy the gym but I got so frustrated from a captain wants to market his private lessons and from the lack of professionality. I thought this is a good gem but I am now considering cancelling my membership.
Thanks
Sameh Mohamed NourEldin

Gold's Gym personal training

I have tried emailing both [protected]@goldsgym.com and the general manager at my location twice with no reply.

I am currently a member at Golds Gym Van Ness in Washington DC. I have had multiple circumstances
that have made me extremely dissatisfied with the services I am paying
for, and while some of them were easy to let go of, now with
everything compiled and the most recent situation, I am very
frustrated.

The issue that led to this level of frustration was that when I signed
up for personal training, I blatantly told my membership consultant
that I only wanted to sign up for three months of training. I have
cancer and had just completed my first round of radiation when I
signed up for training and was upfront in stating I could only commit
to 3 months. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago that I found out the package
"rolls over" and that I would be charged for June because I did not
cancel in time.

The issues that have built up to this moment is when I initially
signed up; I wanted a personal trainer to work with me in the early
morning, preferably twice a week. It was not until I had already
purchased the package that I found out my trainer had very limited
availability, only in the late evenings and Saturday mornings. I got
over this "minor" thing because I figured the rest of my experience
would be great.

My trainer has pushed me too hard many times. I have cried when
working out with her at least three times from her pushing me. I
internalized this and figured I just needed to suck it up. It wasn't
until recently when I was talking with a friend that she made me
realize I shouldn't be feeling so bad about myself from getting a
trainer. I should feel empowered.

Another thing I realized is that my trainer essentially puts all her
clients through the same exercise. Nothing personalized. This is very
frustrating as i am paying for an individualized approach to exercise.
I was upset to see my training putting her other clients through the
exact same exercises. If I wanted this approach, I could have attended
a group fitness class which is included in the price of membership.

Lastly, when I went in to cancel my services, I was given wrong
information multiple times. I was in the facility and asked if I could
cancel my membership and services. The individual at the desk said I
could not do it right now and that I would have to call the next day.
I called the next day, and the individual on the phone told me I had
to come in to sign the forms. Then, when I went to sign the forms, I
was told that both my membership and services could be canceled using
one form, then I got my confirmation email saying "I have to fill out
a separate request to cancel services."

I went into the gym to cancel services, and the general manager gave
me the form to sign but started asking me why I was canceling. I was
honest with him, that I wasn't enjoying the experience or the
facility, and he told me 'everyone feels that way' and 'it is only
going to get harder the older I get.' He suggested I try boot camp, to
which I told him I was not interested and he kept talking about boot
camp, saying I should make a plan, even if I only come once a week it
is worth it. I gave him a little more detail regarding my health
(i.e., cancer) and my treatment plan and that not was just not a good
time and i wasn't enjoying it so it is not worth it and he continues
to make me feel bad for not wanting to work out right now. The most
upsetting part about this is that he had this full conversation with
me at the front desk with no privacy, and other members were coming
and going.

At the very least, I would like my June personal training reimbursed.
I have filled out all necessary paperwork to cancel my services and
membership.

Gold's Gym too crowded

Recently, gold gym at Al fahidi has started a movement to join as many members as possible by reducing it's annual fees, without thinking about the problems that the older members are already facing.
It's so crowded that sometimes it's really frustrating and you can't do anything except than just looking at another guy standing just next to you waiting for the same machine and ready to claim it before you do. Gold gym Al fahidi pls stop increasing your members without having much space and machines, it is ruining your good will !

Gold's Gym services and amenities

Hello,

I have joined Gold's gym almost 4 minth ago and experienced many problems in the standard of quality and management that is being done.
To begin, the person who registered me in the gym claimed that i receive 2 months free on the annual membership and 30 meals that i can use at the gym. (First problem was that apparently there was a deadlime to use the meals that i wasn't told about nor was that new deadline mentioned on the booklet. However there was an older date that ended 3 month ago when I received that booklet but the guy registering me said don't mind it)

Secondly, no one mentioned that during weekends the gym's swimming pool and tanning area cannot be accessed due to kids classes from 11am until 3 pm( which is the peak time for tanning or swimming!)

Thirdly, small towels not available at the mezzanine floor where all the treadmills are and the availability is on a daily basis from 6 pm till around 8:30 pm! Instead they have the big swimming towels which cannot be placed on a small treadmill.

And lastly, 90% of the screens on the treadmills and other cardio machines have an extremely blurry scrambled viewing where it's near impossible to enjoy and most of the aux sockets dont work! On top of that I don't see any coaches assisting people in the mezzanine floor!

Extremely unsatisfied!

Gold's Gym personal training

I have been a client af golds gym for many years. Last year I started a personal training program. And before it's expriring I extended the contract. In April my personal trainer sends me a text that we cannot train until all the payments are payed. Although, all of my payments were going through. The gym charged me on both of my accounts. And when I asked to cancel my trainer said that I need to speak to Dustin(the gym manager). Once I spoke to him he said let's take care of the payments first and then we will look into cancelling. A few weeks later, I send him another message. Yesterday I get an email back saying I am forced to go through with the payments and the best choice I have is to come train or he said you can go to collections. And then he says that the personal training is non refundable or non cancelleable contract. And when I asked why that wasn't brought into my attention when I asked bunch of other times he did not respond back to me.

Gold's Gym opening times/ general state of the club

It's been a long time I wanted to write you about all the problems in your Jeddah's branch, I do it today because for two days now, I can't go to my gym, which is 100% CLOSED, due to Eid days. This is not acceptable from a club "Gold's Gym", especially if you consider your are supposed to be opened 365 days a week first, and that local gyms, 3 times cheaper than yours, took a chance to open for a few hours, even during those celebration days in the KSA.
I also add that I didn't receive any notice about this and that the "schedule" is just written on an half-page notice at the main door.
I also would like to say that one day on two, towels aren't available, that several machines are broken and out of service for a long time and finally, that in 9 months membership, I never received a single advice from the staff, too busy chatting or eating in member's faces, or resting at their desk.
That is not what I was expecting from a all-around-the world-wellknown fitness club as I thought Gold's Gym was and I think it's time for general management to pay itself a little trip to Jeddah to fix all that terrible mess, which is damaging the brand's reputation...

Gold's Gym equipment

Faulty, broken equipment. The treadmills are always broken. If there are 10 machines, 8 will be broken at all times. Was running on the treadmill a few days ago that abruptly stopped and went from 7.0 mph to 0. Then I saw the same happen to a few others throughout the course of a few weeks even though the front desk was notified. All of the yellow signs on the equipment are out of order signs. The paper towel dispenser used to wipe down machines also has an out of order sign.

Gold's Gym rude treatment ashton thousand oaks/ scam and broke agreement

I am being treated horribly by General Manager Ashton, Thousand Oaks. I wil post a letter he wrote if it is acceptable on this site. In the interim; Regarding Thousand Oaks, Gold's. I came in with a 7 day pass I had printed off of the Gold's site. I met with Niya on May 8th. I was going to try the gym for a week and then join. She said I had to join that day to get a 'great deal of 29.00 a month'. Course the next day a member told me they just paid $20 monthly but that part is ok. She said if I joined, I would get June at no charge. She pushed hard, threw away the pass and I joined. No tour until I asked. I called May 31st as I had a feeling I had been duped and would not get June at no charge. She never returned my call and the manager did not as well. Front desk said sorry, you owe for June. Later Niya answered my email and said sorry, however nothing was resolved. Now I am told I will get July for free yet Medicare would have covered it anyway. I cannot get Carlos or the GM Ashton to return a call from me as Bobby at the front desk does not give them messages or they throw them out. Now, I am not getting collection type calls and Ashton wrote to me that he will start charging me LATE FEES over their errors. ! My credit is high and my card is perfect. I was blocked from entering the gym 2 nights ago and the front said Carlos manager, was not in. Lo and behold he walked around the corner and let me in. What is up with this place? The emails not from Ashton are prompting me to quit the gym. It is rude and not ethical. I am shocked the general manager Ashton is this rude. I may quit. They broke their AGREEMENT, just to get more money up front. This is a scam.

Gold's Gym unethical behavior

I was scammed out of money! I had a fairly good experience at the Gold's Gym in Temple, TX, but when my yearly contract was up and I had decided to move away, I followed their policy of filing the membership termination paperwork greater than 30 days in advance of my next billing. However, because the general manager had "too much end of the month paperwork" she didn't do her part in submitting my termination request in time, so now I will be billed for an extra month that I can't use. It is unacceptable to financially penalize customers for management's shortcomings. The general manager was also incredibly rude to me in all of our interactions, and refuses to give me contact information for her boss so I can pursue the matter further. This experience leads me to believe she delays paperwork on purpose to squeeze out an extra month of payment from members who are cancelling.
