rude staff, no return phone calls for a week about paying off my owed amount and quitting membership.
I have a balance due of 94.99$ which I have been trying to settle and for the last week
Everytime I call im put on hold or just told someone will call me back. Im sick of this going back and forth and dont have time to be calling everyday and being put on hold so they can gind Christina who is aware of my 94.99$ balance. Im demanding a curtosy of 40$ be taken off for the unbelievably rude behavior and want to close my account.
staff raising hand on a member and fighting
On 30th November 2017, I was working out at a franchise of your gym when a front desk staff namely MR. Harish Padiyar entered the gym floor and in an extremely rude manner by using gesture told me that I shouldn't drop the weights like this. My instant reaction was its heavy and its bound to go down a tad faster than normal weights. However, expecting a better reply from him and maybe in a polite way requesting me not to do it, the staff member again rudely says "Our trainers do not drop like this (in hindi)". It is then we had an argument since you do not expect a person that too in a business like yours talking to a member like this. My instant reaction was it seems you do not workout as it generally happens that while lifting heavy the weights go down fast. However the staff member did not stop and even after telling him that you should leave, he started detailing his athletic career to which my reply was "it doesn't seem that way". It is at this time your staff member held my finger and then at the spur of the moment we had a brawl, wherein he raised his hand in front of other members and staff members, which to say the least is deplorable and not as per the standards which one would expect from a gym like yours.
The point that I want to raise to the highest authority is that, firstly no one expects a front desk staff to behave in such a rude manner specially in the hospitality business (if I can term it that way). Secondly without admitting but assuming that a member was wrong can a staff member get so violent and raise his hand on a member. Is it not expected from a staff member to simply leave the gym floor.
Thirdly, can a staff member first raise his hand and then apologise after 15 mins? Can he undo his act specially when he has gone to the extent of hitting a member and saying "he ll see me outside".
As stated above I would have been the last one to write a complaint however looking to the act of the staff, I deem to appropriate to raise the issue before you so that you can take appropriate action.
membership monthly fees
I filled out a cancellation form to cancel my monthly to month membership. After 2 weeks I decided to cancel my termination of my membership. I was asked to come to the gym and fill out a form to cancel my termination of my membership. I was told that I am a member a again but would not be able to keep my old membership rates. I need someone to make this right.

So the story began on 2016 when i joined one of your branches which is called ( kattameya ) concord plaza golds gym in egypt and even i went for the gold membership
few months, I had an ankle sprain because of one of your trade-mail.
the physical doctor of the gym passed me to an orthopedic doctor who asked me for a rest for a while . so, i stopped going to the gym and passed my sick leave to the gym mangement .
unfortunally, i had an operation and passed All my papers to the gym management .
which was approved from then . Also they said that my membership is valid till FEB 2018
I decided to join and go back to practise after I felt better . but, they said my membership is not valid anymore and its finished on october 2017
Bare in mind Ididnot use my two freeze months plus I gave them another sick leave on sept . 2017 and supposedly there is still one month left for using the gym facilities !
I Have to say iam really annoyed and disappointed to have such a bad treatment from one of the loiggest companies around the world .

complaint against fraudulent behavior inside gold's gym branch in united arab of emirates
My name is Tamer Elkasim, a member of gold's gym (business village branch - Dubai- UAE).
During November 2016, I met with an employee called Mr. Amir in gold's gym which located in business village (Deira Dubai) and we agreed that he offered me 18 months membership plus 2 months free, so the total of my membership period should be 20 months and i paid the required fees on that basis, and that was the sole reason which i accept to join gold's gym.
Nowadays on 2017, I have been informed that there is no 2 months as Mr. Amir confirmed to me during November 2016 and I have been informed also that my membership only 18 months not 20 months.
By an e-mail to the managers of gold's gym I claimed my additional 2 months, which promised by Mr. Amir during November 2016, also I requested to call Mr. Amir for a meeting in gold's gym (Business village branch) in order to face him with the previously mentioned, but the managers asked me for a written statement from Mr. Amir and they didn't show any co-operation till date because i assume the wanted to protect their employee.

no manager follow up
My name is Bethany Young and I was a recent member at your gym. I cancelled my membership on July 7th with a gentlemen at your location. I filled out a form and confirmed with the male associate that I had no balance on my account. Since I had been a member with your gym for over a year there was also no cancelation fee.
Back in September I received a past due bill for your collections department saying I owed multiple months of membership due to the gym. I called your location and spoke with a female associate that assured me this would be handled and said that she would pass on the information to the manager named Sunny.
Once again no follow up from the manager. I called a third time and talked with a male associate who gave me the managers email address because they were not working that day. I sent an email to the manager on October 21st and called again. Still no follow up.
Once again this matter has not been settled. I have received another notice that I have an outstanding bill with your company.
broken machines and filthy conditions
I'm a member of the Gold's gym in Goldsboro, NC. I've enjoyed this gym because it has always been clean, the machines have been in good condition and functional, and the staff has always been helpful and pleasant. This location has also recently been updated with new paint, flooring, etc. After being unable to workout for approximately 10 months, due to an injury and related surgery, I returned a few days ago and was absolutely disgusted with the conditions of this gym. Most of the machines are filthy with months and months of built up grime. Many of the machines are in poor condition, having worn out handles, seats, and non-functioning parts (example: the heart rate hand grips on the treadmills are all broken and unusable). I don't know what has happened to this gym, or why it's in this condition now, but I do know that I pay way too much money for my gym membership to have to work out in these conditions. There are no other Gold's Gym locations even remotely near me, but there are several competing gyms I could give my membership to if these poor conditions are not addressed. When I inquired about cancelling my membership I was told that I had a year membership. I was pist because I asked for month-to-month. I had to put a hold on it because I lost my job which worked out okay at that time. The only why reason I joined was because I knew that my job was ending which would have allowed me to walk away without being harassed by your agency . I am sick of the constant phone calls. I will never ever suggest Gould's as a leading gym to anyone and not to join. I hated it when someone does just the opposite of what you asked for without your permission especially when you asked for month-to-month membership. I want out of this contract immediately and please, no more telephone calls.

I cancelled my membership in person at the Tech Ridge location in May 2017 - two weeks later I went to the Ben White location and cancelled in person after I was charged - after being charged again and again I sent TWO emails to the corporate office with NO return response and still CHARGED! I have been charged over $200 for membership and no one responds I go to Lifetime gym which I joined April 25 2017 when my husband was deployed to Iraq and moved from North Austin to South Austin - the closet Gold's to me is too packed with people making it difficult to workout because you have to wait - that is the only reason I left after years of loyal service and I planned on returning when my husband returns in 3 months since he has a membership there but I question that decision when they cannot seem to close my account and charge me every 2 weeks.

I am a member of golds gym at Deerfields mall in Abu Dhabi. The service there is terrible as well as the facilities.
There are never enough clean towels available, the gym is filthy and looks as if it is never cleaned thoroughly. The weights are always misplaced and never organised. There are never any paper cups available at the water fountain.
Another concern is the lack of attention the trainers give the customers. I've been to many gyms where the trainers make the effort to speak to all of the customers on a frequent basis, either to ask them what workout they are doing, give them pointers on their workout or to just spot someone.
However the trainers at this location do nothing but talk on their phone the whole time, are loud and obnoxious, and use the facilities for their own purpose during peak hours when customers need it most.
Now the prices for membership here in UAE is not cheap at all. I would expect more from this gym but it has been a huge disappointment.
The men's section of the golds gym Deerfields mall is even worse... take the Sauna for example, the Sauna room has been 'under maintenance' for the past 3 months...I personally reported it 3- 4 times... nothing is being done... it's quite ridiculous, I for sure wont renew my members next year

I got a golds gym account at the Waxahachie location. My schedule changed and I also was not pleased with the class instructors. I asked to cancel my membership. I was told that since I cancelled within 30 days I would get my money right back. I have been waiting for 2 weeks to get my money back. I have called the gym numerous times for answers. I was told something different every time I called. The manager refused to speak with me almost every time I called. When I was finally able to speak with her she was rude and not helpful in assisting me to get some resolution or answers. Each time I called when I started to explain my issue the employees would get rude and short with me on the phone. I still do not have my money back in my account. And the gym has refused to give me a phone number to a corporate office or higher personnel to contact.

My son and I were considering moving to a new gym. We stop by the Montclair Golds gym to check it out. We decided a few days later it was too far for him to travel. I returned to the gym with in the 5 day cancellation policy and I filled out a cancellation form handed to Brent at the front desk. I asked to speak to the Manager (Samantha) and I waited for some time, she assured me that the Membership would be cancelled.
I called into speak with Samantha again as the matter had not been resolved and she stated to me she couldn't help me, the cancellation cancel period had gone by. However I explained to her that the day they ran my credit card and the date on the contract were different. The contract was back dated, and you will see evidence of that when you look at the transaction record receipt, which says 03/01/2017 and the date on the contract says 02/28/2017.
I told her that and she stated she would look in to it, a few weeks went by I called for her and she shoveled me off to Tony I explained this situation to him and he assured me this would be handled, Nothing ever happened. I called Discover and disputed the charges with them to no resolve. I finally called an attorney and they advised me. To call again and try to resolve the matter. I called the number on the discover bill and I got you (Joe).

My name us Mohammad, I had one week free pass coupon for Gold gym in Kuwait, got it from one of my friends, sighned from one of the Gym trainer called Tareque.
when I went there, I met Tareque and he claimed that this copoun had been cancellrd and he cqn transfer it to one visit to see the gym.
I refused because it is not expired and it seems that the accept or refuse coupon by their mind.
I feel unsatisfied about this and even I asked about the course fees, but I thought also I will not join.

The gold’s in my city recently closed and informed us that we would all be reimbursed for our membership if we signed up for first and last month. They promised to reimburse middle of September and that has come and gone. I am still missing $94 from the 3 memberships that I had on my account. I’ve had numerous issues involving billing with them in the past and would like my money back.

I was a member of Gold's for several years. Problems arose when it came to cancelling my membership. After jumping through their many hoops I got the forms completed and personally returned them. Instead of cancelling my entire membership, they simply changed it from a family membership to an individual membership. I was billed continually for another year before I realized it. I have talked to my gym 3 times and they promised to get back with me. Never happened. I received a collection notice then - of all things! REALLY? In reality you owe me for a year! Also, upon trying to call the number for concerns on your collection notice it simply puts you back to your gym.
TERRIBLE AND DECEITFUL PRACTICES! ANYONE INTERESTED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BECAUSE THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME WITH THEM.

When I purchased my membership at the Gold's Gym in San Marcos, Texas, they double charged me. I brought it up to the General Manager, Jeremy Cervantes, and he didn't respond to my email until 3 months after I sent it. I showed him my bank statement and he still will not refund me my money. I went to the gym in person to talk to him in August and he keeps telling me the same thing. I told him it was in his best interest to just cancel my membership but he won't. I do NOT want to be a member of that facility anymore. He is VERY unprofessional and he still hasn't replied to my email from August. It's been almost 8 months since they double charged me and I'm sick and tired of this.

She kept hanging up in my face, she lied saying she was the assistant manager but when I called back from another number she said there were no managers available. On 23/8/2017, The branch manager refused to let me use my travel pass and told me that I have to call the branch in jeddah and ask them to send her an email stating my membership expiry date. When I told her this is her problem, she should contact the other branch, she told me no, I won't, stating that the branch she is responsible for is separate and it's not her responsibility to do so. She was very unhelpful, passive, and demanding. I don't appreciate how something that is not my fault, would result in this professionalism! Would appreciate if Golds Gym staff are better trained, especially the managers who are supposed to be able to resolve issues, not state that they are not her concern or problem.
