Service both on the bus and agent center
I had two reservations one was myself and daughter's father traveling to Boston to move our child out of her dorm. This is where the nightmare began. I had reserved seating so we would be together for I was not sure how full the bus maybe. The website shows this lovely leather seats with plenty of space, leg space which was important for me. To be safe I of course called to verify the leg space and was assured there was plenty of space. No one wants to be crammed in for 4+ hours. The driver was not nice at all.. giving announcements you could tell in my opinion he hates his job. Prior to that I get to my seat and the problems start. There was no leg space at all, I am 5 feet 9 inches and my knees where touching the seat in front of me. The driver stated you could not move seats. Here I sat in the worst pain of my life, I have knee issues and why I made it a point to check the leg space. Then we reach start of Rhode Island driver gets off at a truck stop, gets off bus twice checking something out. Tells us that the bus had to be regenerated no further explanation or how long we would be. We were already I believe an hour late. Get to Boston he didn't even offer to help anyone off the bus or make sure no one fell getting off. when i got to my hotel my legs were so swollen and in such pain, this would not of happened if I had the leg space. Should of went back to Peter Pan and will do in the future. Now I had bought tickets to return to NY for myself, daughter and her father. I went into a Greyhound agent in Boston to make sure I would have the leg space or to get me maybe on another bus that had a first row seat available. I got told they could accommodate me with the first row seat and told me that I should be fine. I showed them the picture of the space I had coming to Boston and didn't care. Instead as I was leaving I overheard a comment about my weight. Well the person who was with me is 5 feet 6 inches 150 and barely had any room so should they lose weight as well. Then to add insult to injury I then had to book Amtrack which cost me a fortune and you only gave me a partial refund because what I canceled to close to departure. As someone with experience in HR and Customer Service you may want to consider better training starting with how your people talk to the public.
Desired outcome: Ideally I would like everything refunded, if not something back for my trip there, plus the remainder of my trip back and something towards me having to purchase train tickets.
Ticket refund
I had a ticket with Greyhound for a trip from New York City to Toronto for the 23rd December 2022. However, the trip was cancelled and Greyhound gave me the option to either rebook at no extra charge or else choose a refund. I chose the refund option and although Greyhound admitted that they were at fault because they cancelled the trip and after promising the processing of the refund, such refund never reached my account. I have complained again and again but it was to no avail except further promises. Now, it's more than 4 months since this ordeal happened and yet they are still holding to my money (US$139) and travel voucher (US$39).
Desired outcome: Refund the US$139 and they can keep the voucher because I have no intention of using Greyhound again.
Poor service from greyhound bus
At 29 /04/2023 i booked a grayhond bus from pretoria to Capetown. To only find out that they are not going to use grayhond sleepliner.they used cityliner plus..it was so stuffy and uncomfortable. Just emagine from pretoria to Capetown bending your legs unable to stretch them..im so so disappointed in grayhond bus..im done with it ull never see me boarding that bus.
Refund the voucher I don't want to use - need my money back
Hello,
I purchased a return tickets for my son from NY to Bethesda and back and I had to rebook a couple of times, because of changes in circumstances.
In both times I got vouchers as below:
Booking [protected] VOUCHER CODE REBA6P32296G $38.99
Booking [protected] VOUCHER CODE REBUDCFY2NDM $26,00
My son ended up traveling one way, and told me he got bus sick and he can't use the bus again. The bus was no good and he threw up all way there. So now I am left with 2 vouchers that I will be never able to use. I called the Greyhound representatives and they told me they can't refund me the vouchers, and that I should write a complain.
I am a single mother with no support and I need my money back.
I hope you will resolve my situation so I don't have to file another complain with better business bureau.
Thank you,

Cancelled return greyhound bus service
The bus leaving Atlantic City on Thursday April 13
At 2:40pm was cancelled with no explanation.
We paid roundtrip from New York Port Authority
We were left with no alternative to get home
As a senior left to find a way home was devastating.
Greyhound never gave any type of assistance
The 5:10pm bus was sold out.
I am scared to travel greyhound for fear of being stranded
Desired outcome: An apology and some sort of reimbursement
Bus ticket
I called an hour before trip was to leave and the customer service rep refused to refund or reboot my ticket for anytime. I got his name and employee ID number before he hung up. He said to call back after he bus departed and he would rebook us. I thought this was funny but he finally got me to agree by giving his info. I call back and get another car and she refuses to rebook or refund the ticket. Also refuses to give me her information or transfer me to anyone else including the original crs. She wouldn't even give me info on where to complain. All she told me was she was in another country and would not give me the info about who's she was employed by. This is a horrible company all around I guess...
Desired outcome: Rebook or refund
Missed bus and couldn't get another ticket or money back
I have a very extreme learning disability. I can't understand what I read. My friend fixed me up the ticket & I was told that the bus to San Antonio Texas from Greensboro North Carolina was leaving at 20 minutes after 4:00 on July 7th now there was storms coming through that day on that evening so then I got an email stating that the bus got delayed now delayed to me means delayed exactly what it says but behind so the next appointment set time was it was leaving at like 10 minutes to 2:00 that morning now I'm thinking am I brain it's not leaving till that next morning since it was delayed but in fact it was leaving that same morning on the 7th and I didn't understand that after I was explained to it yes I did understand but it was after the fact I am highly upset because I couldn't make it out to Texas and my friend is upset because he is the one that paid for the ticket now neither him or I are satisfied because we're both out and we feel like that was wrong because given the fact I have a learning disability and we explain this to the people it was just like they didn't care you know it's just all about money business and I get it you know but still somebody needs to be reimbursed with something either another ticket or the money back
Desired outcome: Another ticket to TexasOr money bk

Damaged baggage
Good Afternoon,
The Trip In Question Started in Lake City, Fl on Sunday, March 5, 2023, At Approximately 10:00 am est. The Terminal Was Closed When I Arrived Earlier. I Was Not Able To Obtain Name Tags Or Pay For the Additional Piece of Luggage, I Had Two. The Driver Tried To Assist Me Using The Greyhound App. This Was Not Successful; After a Short Period Of Time I Was Offered The Opportunity To Pay For The Secondary Piece Of Luggage At The Next Stop, “Macon, Ga.”
The Coach Proceeded To Macon, Ga. The estimated Arrival Time was 1:30 pm est, It Was At This Location The Luggage In Question Was Off Loaded By A Greyhound Employee, Tagged With A Name Tag, Filled Out By The Same Greyhound Employee & Reloaded Back on The Coach By The Same Greyhound Employee. I Was Standing to The Side of said Greyhound Employee While This Entire Process Was Completed. I Personally Witnessed Every Step Of the Process. The Coach Departed from Macon, Ga Terminal at Approximately 1:45 pm est.
The Coach Then Traveled Non-Stop To Atlanta, Ga. The Estimated Time of The Coach's Arrival In Atlanta Was 3:25 pm est. Atlanta Was A Transfer Point For Me. While Departing The Coach, The Driver To This Point Requested To See My Virtual Ticket, Presumably To Give Me Instructions Where To Proceed Inside The Terminal, I Complied. This Was Done While We Both Moved Slowly Down The Stairwell At The Front Of The Coach, Stopping Briefly At The Closest Ground Level Pavement, this being Past The Last Step On the Bus. I Received His Instructions, Turned To My Right To Face The Cargo Bays At The Bottom Of The Coach. I Could Easily See The Entire Cargo Area As All Four Cargo Doors Were In The Open Position & My Luggage Was Not Visible. There Was What Appeared To Be A Greyhound Baggage Employee In Proximity To Me, I Walked Several Feet Closer To Him & Questioned Him Regarding My Luggage. I Was Quickly Told To Ask The Previous Driver, I Did So Promptly The Driver Was Still In The Same Position As When I Left Just Two Or Three Minutes Before. He Looked From Several Vantage Points, Then Declared The Luggage Was On An Earlier Bus & Would Arrive In Charlotte, NC My Destination Before I Did, My Scheduled Arrival Was 9:30 pm Sun. March 5, 2023. Upon My Arrival, At The Charlotte, NC Terminal I Immediately Sought Out The Terminal Manager. She Was Not Difficult To Locate. I Was Told By Her There Was A High Probability My Luggage Was Stolen By One of The Many Thieves & Homeless People That Permeate The Atlanta Terminal. Since Unloading Of Passengers And Cargo Is Done On A City Street, Not On Greyhound Property As Is The Case At The Charlotte, NC Terminal. I Have Traveled to The Charlotte, NC Terminal Multiple Times To Enquire If My Luggage Had Been Located. I Was Told Multiple Times the Luggage Would Not Be Located.
Thank You In Advance for Your Review & Consideration Of This Event. My Intent Was To Give Enough Detail To Answer Some Common Questions.

Greyhound and their poor customer service and late bus arrival times
I had been ill and now I'm better and can make this complaint. I purchased a Greyhound ticket in Fresno, California for a funeral I was going to in Oklahoma City a week earlier thank God. My bus was scheduled to depart on the 18th of January at 6:30pm from the Fresno Greyhound station and the bus ended up being 4 hours late due to the bus breaking down in Sacramento and the driver couldn't get a replacement bus for he and his passengers. So the replacement bus driver that relieved him in Fresno had to haul [censored] to Los Angeles to get some of us to our transfer buses that were in Los Angeles at the main Greyhound terminal. Thank God a Greyhound bus driver who was an older Hispanic gentleman that was very short, around '5 4" in height, heavyset and probably weighed over 300lbs waited 2 hours for us to arrive and got us to Phoenix by 11:15am the 19th of January. From there he went out of service and our next bus driver that was scheduled to take his place completely no showed. So another replacement bus driver showed up around 2:30. She was a Black woman in her early/mid 60's, she was slender to medium built, had a hair style like Goku from the Dragonball Z cartoon, she claims she was ex-military, was from Ohio, and had just started driving for Greyhound 2 month's prior. I did not get this woman's name so I'll just call her "Ms. Military". Ms. Military gets us to Flagstaff, Arizona and gets us stuck in the goddamn snow for over an hour and a half against advice from us passengers telling her that driving down a snowy ackwards slop was a really bad idea! Thank God the Flagstaff police and sheriff department rescued us from being stuck in the snow because our ex-military bus driver thought she knew it all and it blew up in everybody's face! In addition to this issue about 25 passengers had been stranded and left stuck out in the cold for about 4 hours because the idiot that runs the Greyhound station in Flagstaff, left the station and locked it up and went home and left these people out in the freezing cold snow including a newborn baby that had to have been no more than 5 month's old you selfish careless piece of s***! One of the passengers that was picked up from the Flagstaff Greyhound station who was frustrated with Ms Military's insane level of incompetence went off on her and the Flagstaff police got involved with that situation as well and defused that situation. So after being stuck for about an hour and 45 minutes we depart Flagstaff and everything is going good until we reach Gallop, New Mexico. Once in Gallop around 2:AM in the morning the same passenger that Ms. Military got into an argument with got into a fight with a big tall husky built Black dude that had to have been around '6 3" and weighed well over 300lbs himself. The guy that started the fight who had issues with Ms. Military from back in Flagstaff was a slender built African American guy about '5 11" in height and probably weighed around 190lbs. Surprisingly the shorter guy bested the taller heavyset guy. The Gallop police got involved and was talking to Ms. Military the bus driver, and both the guys involved in the melee for over an hour and eventually Ms. Military kicked the guy off whom she had problems with back in Flagstaff but let the heavyset Black guy who lost the fight stay on the bus. So we leave Gallop and make it to Albuquerque finally like around 4:AM in the morning or close enough to it and Ms. Military is relieved by another Black woman who was about '6 1" in height and had a thick curvy build to her. She had to have been in her early to mid 50's and was kind of cute for an older woman. She was funny but she hauled tail and got us back on track and I appreciated that the most about her. I thought she was kind of hilarious by ordering the passengers to use headphones to listen our portable media devices but she was listening to headphones herself and singing a song and I just couldn't help but start cracking up laughing at her in the process. So anyway she got us to Amarillo, Texas and went out of service. From there we got the best bus driver of the entire trip. She was an older White woman in her late 60's and she was a sweetheart of a human being. She drove fast, safe, and on time and got me to Oklahoma City in time for my cousin's funeral. I arrived at the Greyhound bus station in Oklahoma City on Friday January 20th at about 4:35pm in the afternoon. My cousin's funeral was the next day in the morning. But God bless that woman and I wish I could remember her name. As for Ms. Military, she didn't do anything wrong to me personally and I don't hate the woman but I don't think she has no business driving a Greyhound bus. Getting the bus stuck in the snow like that in Flagstaff, Arizona after multiple advice coming from us various passengers was completely foolhardy and any amateur bus driver would know to avoid getting the bus stuck like that. Not sure if I'll be taking Greyhound to a funeral like that again but for anything that's not important and time sensitive than it won't be an issue for me personally.
Desired outcome: A free bus ticket to anywhere I would like to travel to within the United States.
Delay and no respect to customers
Grayhound Nashville Bus station has a huge management problem. I will never recommend anyone to take Grayhound in the future.
I was a customer of Grayhound since 2015. I start learning about Grayhound in Australia and I enjoyed the services and the respect for time.
Grayhound is unable to stick with the schedule and they do not respect the passengers' time. The Grayhound Nashville Bus Station is having serious management error and the company's customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life in any places.
If Grayhound Nashville Bus station take survey on customers, they will definitely know but I think they do not even understand what customer service are. Everyone I met said Nashvill Grayhound has a culture of delay. The staff also normalize the issues and the customers just had to bare the burden of late departure and arrival time.
The company/staff do not respect the schedule they sell and they do not know the meaning of customer services. They also do not apologies for their patterns of delays.
Me and my husband bought Grayhound bus from Nashville, Tennessee to Indianapolis on the 27 March 2023. It supposed to leave 9:50 AM on 27 March. But then the Grayhound informed us at 4:21 AM "a severe delay" of the bus. The customers are given a choice to take the bus at 10:15 PM on the same night. The issue didnot stop there, the bus only left from Nashville station around 11:40 PM. Surprisingly, the staff at Nashville did not even say "we are sorry for the delay". The service at Nashville Grayhound bus station is the lowest level services. There are only 2 staff handling around 300-400 customers, a younger woman/staff is also rude when I complain about the delay. She said, she doesn't own the company and the delay is not her issue to care. Well I understand the staff are the face of the company and they should at least find words to say sorry, this is outside of her control. Instead the woman shout back to me and I have never seen such kind of worst transportation staff in my life.
Grayhound should think about hiring Asian staff who understand what customer services and the attitudes should be look like.
I will never buy Grayhound bus tickets again at least in the USA and I will spread my worst experience in different platforms online.
Desired outcome: Everyone who eat understand what is customers' expectation. They do not deserve good feedback.
Terrible Ride
I'm riding greyhound line from St. Paul bus depot to Madison WI.
The bus driver is driving without a seat belt on bus number 87017
She's very rude towards the bus riders
She didn't scan our tickets
And She didn't greet us or announce the do and don't on the bus.
She's not announcing our stops over the intercom so we barely can hear her.
She has a bad attitude.
I will like to be refunded my money back because I'm not comfortable on this ride at all.
Lost Baggage/ No customer service
On... 2/20/23 Conf # [protected] My mother boarded a Greyhound bus leaving Las Vegas to Santa Ana. Once at her layover stop in Barstow she missed the following bus back home and has since been without her luggage. No one there at the station informed her how to get her luggage back and everyone one on any phone given has been able to help either. WE have been instructed several times to go online and submit a form there but since their change in ownership/ website the numbers required to submit a form do not exist on the older ticket that was issued. We have gone to the Santa Ana bus station and Los Angeles bus station in person and still no help. No one knows or has any info on how to get this bag back.
Desired outcome: I would like to find her lost luggage and have it returned to us or find out where it is located.

This is unexceptable! i want my refund for the two tickets and by all rights you should give me back the ticket money for the return home from NYC. Can't speak to a person have to fill out everything online my luggage is lost no tag i have no clothes and this is outrageous how you treat people, i will not be traveling greyhound bus lines i have used for many trips but this was the most terrible experience i have ever had.

Loss of medication bag
You have lost my life saving medication please call me at [protected]
On March 4th, I boarded a Greyhound bus in Wichita Falls and I had to transfer in Oklahoma City to go to Amarillo. During that transfer one of your Greyhound helpers was helping me transfer my bags from one bus to another because I have a torn rotator cuff. The bag that was above seat 5c did not come with me and it had 17 prescriptions of my life saving medication that I have to take for Addison's disease and I can die without it. Phyllis, the bus driver called Kansas City dispatch and they said they would confiscate the bag and get it back to Amarillo. That never happened and I never heard from anybody. I have returned to Wichita Falls now and I need you to please look for my medicine that was in a blue tote that said Nanny on it. Please all my medicine is on that bag. I returned home yesterday March 7th without any medicine
Desired outcome: Return my blue bag with my 16 medications in it with my name on them
Customer service
I’ve been at the Atlanta bus station from 10:45 to 2am waiting on bus 0606 that they say has came and left I paid $180 for the ticket that they now say that can’t exchange or do anything about this is horrible .. no supervisor on site staff on a personal call as she sits behind the desk and help no one this has been the worst experience of my life
Desired outcome: Ticket exchange
Cancellations
2/3/23 I bought tickets for a friend to travel to Chicago, IL. The trip was for 2/17/23-2/21/23. There was a snowstorm in Minneapolis MN, so the return trip was cancelled. The next outbound trip I was able to get was for 2/23.23 at 11:00am. That trip was cancelled. It was rescheduled for 12:50pm on 2/23/23. The problem is that a trip that takes normally about 8-12 hours, was going to take 28 hours. Maybe 2 hours after I made that call, my friend called to cancel the trip. He was told that it would cost him a $20.00 fee. I can understand if the original trip was cancelled and cost $20.00. I can't understand, a trip cancelled for 2 days and replaced from an 8-hour ride to a 28-hour ride costing $20.00. I am really upset. I called Greyhound and was on the line for 52 minutes before the phone cut off on their end and I had to start all over again. I was on the phone for 49 minutes the second time before it cut off again on their end. Each time I was waiting for a supervisor who never got to the phone. Now, I feel really disrespected! The third call lasted for 31 minutes and I was told to file a complaint and wait for a response. This is how Greyhound treats its customers?
Desired outcome: $20.00 refund
Refund Inquiry
My original trip [protected]
I submitted a complaint 3 weeks ago via this website. I received an email stating I would be given a voucher in the amount of 171.00 for a future trip for the horrible experience I had traveling with Greyhound. The reference number for that email is ref:_00D41V0ld._5002M1aeweB:ref
In these 3 replies of mine to the above referenced email from Greyhound offering a voucher, I explain that I was told by the driver and counter representatives that I would be reimbursed the total amount of 213.00 back on to the original credit card the above mentioned trip was charged to...it has been 3 weeks and no reply from Greyhound. Please reimburse me for this awful trip in the amount of 213.00 on to the card the trip was charged to.
Note: I am taking a screen shot of this message for proof of my second complaint to Greyhound,
April Devereaux

Desired outcome: I want my 213.00 paid for the above mentioned trip to be reimbursed to the credit card the trip was charged to.
