I am writing to inform others of the H & R block tax refund scam. 1st they tell you that you will receive a refund by direct deposit, debit card or some other way in 1 to 2 business days and charge a substantial fee for doing so the when you don't get it deposited they say the bank done it. Well its their bank. Anyway after not getting the refund they give you a number to call (a recording of course) and all it says is you will receive your refund in 8 to 15 days. Well I could have done this myself online without paying someone $300. They thrive on taking advantage of single women with children because the size of there refunds which is the category I fall into and was really depending on this money.

Well get this, we filed with H and R block, thay did our NH taxes as well as ower Mass, taxes. The Mass taxes we got back a little over 200.00 when in fact we got a letter the other day telling us it was wrong and we will be getting a check for the other 900.00 thet thay failed to add. This would be the H and R Block in Tilton NH.Thay wont talk to us about it and on thop of that thay keep telling us that ower Stimulus check will go on the card with in ten days, then tell us it takes up to three weeks, We called today 4weeks later and now thay tell us it will come in the mail because thay are out of things to tell us.EVERYONE needs to stay away from Hand R Block.

We went to H&R Block in Cypress, Texas. Was in the office 3 hours, left for lunch, came back--still not ready. Got a call in the late afternoon to pick it up. When my husband got there he noticed our name was spelled wrong. So, he goes back this morning, brings it home for me to sign--I found the address was wrong---half of our new address and half of our old address ! ! We paid $361.00 for that kind of service ! ! Still don't have the return mailed out.

All together now...Can you say Class Action Law Suit? They are quite obviously running a scam on us and blaming it on a mysterious third party that is beyond their control. They tapdance around our valid requests to be informed as to the status of our transactions. Great customer service is only achieved once that transaction is completed and that is not until you, the consumer, have recieved what they had you pay for. It is time to give them a legal attitude adjustment. I pay my taxes, I file my returns, I pay the required fees and wait for my refunds. I do not, however, enjoy playing phone tag with someone that has my money. They have the nerve of asking you to recommend 5 people to use their service-I'll go one step further and tell 50 people not to use them

Purchased a Harley Davidson from this company in August 2008. It took till April 2008 to get the title, bill of sale and keys! Owners promise the world but deliver nothing.

In the sale was a bike cover and battery tender. At the time of writing these also have not been supplied. Again, promises galore but no follow through. We are still chasing these - hopefully not another 8 months.

If dealing with this company make sure that you have the goods and are happy with them BEFORE you pay out any hard earned money. Once this lot have been paid they could care less for the customer.

My husband and I have used H&R Block for the last 5 years. The first year that we filed with them we tried getting our money the same day. We were told we could not get it. We got our check in 2 days. Picked it up in there office. We have went there every year since. We have always gotten our money within 2 days. In Feb. 2009 we got approved for part of our money the same day and got our paper check. We picked up the rest of our money 2 days later. I have never had any kind of problems with them. They have always treated us well and we have always gotten our money.

Anyone buying into the "Positive spin" that HR Block is trying to put on the fact that single mothers being taken advantage of by them...think again. Also don't be foolish enough to ever do busines with such a dishonest company who IS BY TESTIMONY OF MANY ON THIS FORUM TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE ALREADY DIS_ADVANTAGED AND INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING PEOPLE ALL OVER THE USA. Be sure and read all the pages of people being LIED TO by HR BLOCK employees and attesting to that on the forum before you beleive what "someone" (who admitted to being an HR BLOCK employee yesterday) writes about their supposed experience. H&R Block knows they are misleading people...that is why they are not answering their phones. They are crooked snakes. THE nest time you see an HR BLOCK office hold onto your wallet and keep on driving...for your childrens sake.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS EVERYONE!
I will not be doing my taxes with HR Block anymore. There was a reason I stop doing taxes with them long ago but could not remember why. Now I know why! $267.00 is a lot of money to just file your taxes… and then charge $30 for a bank processing fee. I was shocked about the price! I usually have a certified accountant do mine for $125. But this year, my husband insisted on trying HR Block because he believed we would get a bigger refund from them – By the way, our refund is the same. I only had $200 thinking that should be more than enough to do my taxes…. I was wrong, and had to opt to taking the fees out of my refund. I received an email the next day (January 22nd) from HR Block stating my refund has been processed and accepted by the IRS. 2 days later, I went to the “where is my refund” web site and it stated my refund has been excepted and anticipate an deposit in my account on February 1st (Monday) It is now, February 3rd and no refund has been deposited into my account.

I called [protected] which was given to me by the IRS and my local HR Block office. I called the number and got a poorly trained rep on the phone. I told her I was given this number from the HR Block office and the IRS to track my refund. I explained to her that it is my understanding that the IRS has released the funds to HR Bank (according to the rep at the IRS Office) and they (HR Bank) will release the funds from there to my bank account. She still tried to get me to call my local HR Block office… so I end up repeating my self twice before she finally transferred my call to the HR Bank Refund office!

Talked to Amber, and she told me they have not received the funds from IRS yet (although the REP at the IRS office stated they have already released them as of February 1st Monday). I explained to her that I contacted the IRS and they stated they have already released the money to HR BANK - she stated the Rep must have been misinformed because IRS office does not release funds on Monday – only on Fridays. (She was feeding me BS) But she went on to say, she does see my account and they are schedule to release my refund to my bank account on Monday, February, 8th and should be directed deposited on Tuesday February, 9th. She went on to say that she will not be able to help any further until after February, 9th. If my refund is not deposit by then, then I should 1st contact my bank, then contact them to file a missing claim form. I told her before hanging up, that I hope it won’t come to that conclusion, but knowing what I know now, I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO HR BLOCK! She insisted to know why. I told her the fees are ridiculous for a simple tax prep (only had my husband and I W2 forms and home interest tax forms) also, told her it should be explained how the process works regarding direct deposit – and also, I believe the IRS when they said they had issued the refund to HR Bank on Monday (Feb 1st) because the rep knew where the money went. He spec fully told me that it went to HR Bank and not the bank account number I had on file with the IRS. So, how can he be misinformed? I went on to tell her, I believe my return is there in the HR Block Bank collecting interest for a week before they deposit refunds into the tax payers account. She didn’t have much to say but, “I am sorry you feel that way – we will be sending you out a coupon for next year.” I laughed and hung up. At least I got a good laugh out of it today.

It would be nice to know and for the reps at HR Block to say, “If you do not have the money today to pay for your tax preparation, you can take it out of the refund. HOWEVER, it WILL delay your refund by 3-5 business days because AFTER THE IRS HAS ACCEPTED THE REFUND, THEY (IRS) RELESE THE MONEY TO HR Block BANK FIRST BEFORE IT IS DEPOSISTED INTO YOUR ACCOUNT– Please see paragraph such and such.” This would minimize a lot of confusion for people going to the “where is my refund” IRS website and expecting their refund to be deposited on that day or the next.

Exact same happened to me for the last 3 years. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Only reason I used the crooks in the first place was to get it fast. From here on, saving the over 300 dollars they charge and doing it myself.

Its just crazy for someone to pay a crook 300 dollars to do there taxes except for getting it faster than usual. Thats the only thing H and R Block has going for them. Its like paying a mechanic 50 bucks to change a lightbulb in your car or getting an estimate of 500 dollars for a set of rear brakes when you can do it yourself for less than 50.

I payed a CPA only 125 bucks to do an ammended return and being I was self employed during that time, she had to work on it 3 times longer than the ### crooks at H and R Block who charged me 300 dollars to do my recent taxes. Then they f##kers lied to me by saying id get it in 2 days.

I found that my refund was sent to H&R Block by the IRS and it was put into a direct account of H&R and they held my deposit so they could draw the interest while making you wait ten day to receive your check. This should nothappen. Check your 1040 and see if there is a direct account number on it. It will not be yours. This is when you try for the load and most timed denied. They charge you even when your are denied. That is usually another 60.00 you lose. What a Rip Off. I complained about the direct deposit what was not my account and they told me I could pick up my check today. Check this out. There are a lot of customers that need their money. H&R is making a lot of money off of their customers anyway, WHY THIS?

I will never use H&R Block again. The idiots there forced us to drive back to their office 6 times. This lasted for three days, the last day was four visits on April 15, from 11 am until 10 PM! They gave us wildly different numbers each time. I have zero faith in their skills and will be paying (again!) a real accountant to check and amend our return. To add insult to this frustration, when I privately expressed my opinion of their incompetence to my spouse, the ### girl who first messed up stood up and began verbally berating us. Her manager had to pull her away. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with.

I bought a house in November of last year, and I filed for the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit this year. I decided I wanted my taxes done by a professional, so I went to H&R Block in Sears in Ocean Twp, NJ to get them done. The entire time I was in the process of closing on my house, everyone involved (real estate agent, real estate attorney, mortgage lender, etc) told me to bring my closing papers and HUD-1 form to my tax preparer in order to receive the credit.

I went to my tax perparer (David Tyler) and I asked him straight out "Is there anythin from my closing that I need to file to get this credit?" He looked me in the eyes and said "No, you should be fine." I filed my taxes on Feb 9, 2010.

I checked the IRS' website periodically, and it said I was schedule to receive my refund on April 20th. On April 17th, I received a letter that said the IRS could not process my refund because my HUD-1 form was missing. I would have to send that back, wait up to 1 month for them to even acknowledge receving it, and then it would be 8-12 weeks later before I would get my refund. I sent them back the HUD-1 registered mail the same day I received the letter. I still haven't heard from them and I still do not have my refund.

The entire explantion above leads me to my question. Why does H&R Block not claim responsibility for the egregious error one of their accounts made above? I called the Lakewood, NJ office, the Neptune office, and all H&R Block did for me was refund me part (not all, part) of my preparation fee. This entire situation would have been avoided if your employed account knew what he was doing. That was clearly not the case. Do I have to bring a lawsuit against H&R Block to get any knid of attention? Your standards and practices in these situations are clearly subpar, and I feel like I have been bilked out of not only the money I paid for your services, but my non-existant tax return as well.

This whole thread is full of people who don't comprehend the basics of their taxes, and I'm going to wager that more than a few of you could probably file with a 1040EZ.

First, understand that this refund is actually *your* money which you have loaned to the government, interest-free, all year long. How many banks give you an interest free loan for an entire year with no strings attached? Fix your withholding allowances to come out even (or owe slightly). This accomplishes two things - you get access to your own money year long, and you don't get concerned with the timing of your refund.

Second, understand how easy it is for 90% of the population to do their own taxes. More than a few in this thread have mentioned rent - if you're renting, then you probably do not have a complicated tax situation. I'd wager that more than a few of you could even file a 1040EZ (no dependents,

I went to H&R Block this year expecting to get the same great service i received last year. After calling the appointment line to try to get in for a Emerald Advance i was given the wrong appointment day and wrong office and when i showed up to where i thought my appointment was i was told i had no appointment scheduled there. I had asked the appointment line guy if i could just walk in and be seen and he said no i had to make a appointment and found out later that was a lie. Anyways i apply for the advance with someone who was at least 80 (not lying) and said he had not done a Emerald Advance before but there was no one else that could help at the time ( poor old guy i felt sorry for him so i allowed him to do my application anyways) well i ended up pretty much doing the application myself because he kept entering the wrong info into the computer but i got approved anyways so i was happy. I went back after i got my W-2's to file my return and told the preparer i wanted my refund back the same way i got last year which was a RAL and he kept mentioning something about a RAC and i kept asking what that was and was told we would go over all of that once we were done ( RAC sounded like the same as a RAL to me) i was asked about childcare expenses when it came to that part and i told them i had almost $3000 in expenses but he made it seem like i didnt have enough to claim and that it wouldnt be worth getting the receipt for ( last year my husband was a stay at home dad so we didnt have childcare last year so i didnt know anything about that credit) so he made it seem like it would make no difference on my tax return well at the end of it all i find out that i have to wait 8-15 days for my tax return which i should have been told that they do not do the RAL's anymore and i was also lied to when i asked about it and was told no one was doing the RAL's anymore because the IRS has banned them. Jackson and Hewitt still does RAL's but will not ever be going there again either and that is a whole nother story! Was told when we came back to complain that they would see if we could file a ammended tax return to claim the childcare expenses at no expense but a couple days later got a nasty and rude 5 minute message saying it was our fault for that and that we would have to pay if we wanted it done. Well maybe it was somewhat our fault for trusting them to know how to file a tax return and telling us we could have gotten another $500 for the childcare but next year i will go elsewhere and will use a accountant which only charges around $100-150 instead of the approximate $260 i was charged and would get it back sooner too! Oh and did i mention the guy that did my 2nd return was around 70! I will be filing my ammended return myself!

I should have read all of these complaints before filing my taxes with H&R Bank. My husband and I choose the option to have the $395 tax preparation fee taken directly out of our refund. It was never once explained that by doing so we were agreeing to have the IRS deposit our entire $6, 000 refund into H&R Bank and that we would be at the mercy of the 2nd bank to deposit our refund (minus the $395 fee) into our bank. Well, it turns out that the IRS deposited our refund into H&R Bank on 1/20. On 1/22 we still had not received our refund from H&R Block bank (even though we received an email that it had been sent to our bank the day before). After an entire day of being on hold with H&R Bank's customer serivce, we were told that our tax professional had entered our account number into the computer wrong and we had to wait 24 hours to receive an answer. After 48 hours we were told that the money had been returned to H&R Block Bank and that we were entitled to a paper check from the local H&R Block office that had prepared our taxes. Of course the manager at that office had not been told that and refused to issue us a check until it was sent to his email from corporate. It has now been four additional days and we have still not received the check. I have cried, yelled, threatened, posted on the internet and called our local news. Nothing is working so it looks like I am going to have to hire an attorney just to get my tax refund. I can not believe that we paid $395 to have our much needed money stolen. H&R Block does take advantage of poor people and the point is that no one cares. This has to stop and I am not done with my fight. I think it is only fair that I receive my tax preparation fee back from them as well as any attorney fees. I also want to make sure that anyone who is thinking that H&R block is the way to go knows that they are a scam. I truly hope another American citizen does not have to be treated the way we were and still are being treated. We both work hard every day, raise our two children and pay our taxes. We do not qualify for any government assistance except for the tax breaks that we receive each year for being low income but still working hard. We counted on this money to tide us over for the next year. The extra money makes a huge difference to our lives. We are not out buying expensive items with our money. I can not believe this was allowed to happen.

I too had problems with H&R Block. We have 1 W-2 and one dependent and they told us that it would be 54.00. We rent, no medical expenses, no child care expenses, nothing, as simple as it comes. After we did our taxes and they e-filed it, then they decided to tell us that our total charges were $261. We are fighting to get our money back. When I called 1-800-HRBLOCK, they even said we were overcharged.

DO NOT USE HR BLOCK EVER! They accidentally used the previous years tax info(i had been going to them for years with my short ez form).

Their error caused me grief with the IRS, as they told me I owed back taxes, penalty & interest.

The IRS agreed that HR Block made the error cause the income & details were identical down to the penny as the previous year. The office who prepared the return agreed the preparer made a mistake. The manager of the San Francisco, CA office on Van Ness Ave, open all year long, agreed the error was the fault of HR Block.

She went on to say that although the mistake was indeed theirs, they would NOT be held responsible because I did not purchase the additional insurance to protect myself if they should make a mistake! OUTRAGEOUS.

I filed a complaint. They had to nerve to IGNORE me and never contacted me. I returned to the Van Ness Ave office of HR Block months later, she remembered me, looked it up, and saw the result: They deemed the mistake was MINE! OUTRAGEOUS. Even the woman helping me was shocked. DONT EVER USE HE BLOCK!

I went to H & R Block. I've gone there for years. I should have known things were different when my tax guy retired. They told me I'd have my money deposited into my account in 8 - 14 days. When the 14th day showed up and I still didn't have my money they then told me I had to wait another 3 days for the wire transfer to go through! Had I just requested a paper check from the government it would have taken less time than it is to get it directly deposited into my bank account. What's wrong with this new system? Pretty much everything!

HR Block is holding your state filing for 2010 because Federal is holding their filing. Federal and State tax filings have nothing to do with each other. HR Block holds their customers hostage with your State refunds because they don't know how to e-file State separate from Federal. DO NOT USE HR Block! You have been warned. Filing on line will tell you that Federal for 2010 taxes will not e-file until Feb 15, understand that. But what is problem with AZ state filing? I paid for a service not provided by HR Block- refund money paid to file.

Went to H and R Block today to have the my taxes filed. I was told over the phone that it would be 100.00 to 150.00. After 1 1/2 hours with an employee that did not seem to be any more educated then I was, he said it would be 460.00. I about lost my mind. I told him I was quoted 100.00 to 150.00 and refused to pay these outrageous fees. Got my questions answered. Now I will pay 39.00 to do them online and keep my money in my pocket. I feel they are operating a bait and switch on consumers. They try to make it easy by just "taking out the fees from your tax return."

Good Afternoon. I was in th H&R block (like every year/3 year custume) to fill my taxes. I am a single mother with 3 kids, no properties, anything. Working the hole year a part time position. I was in Paraiso Plaza H&R block Office, Hialeah Gardens on feb 1/2011 . Felipe Castaneda filled my taxes/ years before was the manager( Ileana) and Alexis. Alexis call me back because the IRS reject my taxes because "somebody filled one of my kids" (alexis told me) when I was there again( feb/4) she told me that is not the reason, the real reason was Felipe made some mistake with one of my kids (he doesn't put like dependent one of my kids when he filled his taxes/full time student) So, I have to paid at this moment by my credit card and she made an ammentment and I have to sent by mail. Last Friday feb19 I called again to see what is going on and the front desk girl got the message to the manager call me back(Ileana). She never call me back. Today( feb 23/2011) I call again. I spoke to Rosa ( she said Ileana is not there) I complain again. She put me on hold, She spoke to Ileana and I leana said to her I have to call IRS at [protected] to see what is the situation and how long I have to wait.. My question is : So, finally they made a mistake and I had to paid already, I had to sent by mail my taxes and I have to call the IRS? H& R is a serious company for me . I am still waiting for the manager call me back. Somebody have to help me . It is around ONE MONTH. Unbelievable!. I am sorry because I dont like to do that but I have to complain and I need the resolution, , I need my refund. Have a nice day and God bless all of us.

On Febuary 15, 2010 i went to H&R Block to applied for the RAL. Since the early 80's i been filing my on income tax refund and would receive my refund with in two to three weeks, when i talk to Betty she gurantee that i would be able to go my refund in two day. A day later the bank call me and ask me three question. i was able to answer one of the question concerning a car i had in the past, the other two question were on two indiviual who i do not know or never met and fail the questions. i was not approve to receive my refund in two day. I call Betty and explain what happen, she said i would receive my refund on my card on Febuary 26, 2010 and IRS comfirm the same, i was ok with that. On Febuary 26, 2010 i waited till 2:00 pm and had not receive my refund, i call Betty at H&R Block she was off, talk to another representive, that said it was notheing they can do an gave me the number to HSBC Bank and talk with them they said that they sent the refund back to IRS and it will take 6 to 8 weeks to receive my refund on a paper check. Now i was very upset. I could had went on line to IRS website did my tax refund and receive my refund in eight days on my debit card. The only thing H&R Block and HSBC Bank did was use me and lied to me. As a professional company i am really disappointed and will never use any agency to do my tax refund. I am out of work, economic an physical it put me in a situation that i lied to my landlord about paying rent and sleeping out on the street. i emotionally stress out for seven days going back and forth with H&R Block and HSBC Bank IRS trying to get the correct information find out were is the refund that was sent back. today is March 4, 2010 IRS have not receive the refund.

ive paid for the 8-15 day service on 4 feb 2010. was suppose to get my taxes back on 12 feb. now they said they made a mistake. i will get them back on 19 feb. today is 20 feb. i called them today and now they say 23 feb it will be in by. i hate being lied to especially if im paying for a service that they supposedly stand by but to no avail. they said they had direct deposited it by text message wheres my money then. im about to deploy and i have stuff to buy and bills to pay. ive been using these "tax proffessionals." paid 300.00 some dollars to get something that i could got on post for free and faster. im done with hr blockheads. after 12 years of doing business with them and 3, 600 dollars later they do this. ok its time to go somewhere else. im just warning you from my expirence.

I went last week to do my taxes and they told me that the cash back did not start until the 16th of febuary which was fine but now the 16th has come and gone and they are saying that the cheque printer is broken and they have no Idea when it will be fixed and that they hope they have not caused a inconvience to me, but they are not giving any of us waiting on the service they promised a break in the fees I find that very unfair to the public for a business to state that they will deliver a product on a certian date and not deliver without some kind of compensation to the consumers. They have been very snotty on the phone with a bunch of us as I have friends that have done their taxes there also and if they havent fixed the problem in one working day dont you think that they should maybe get a new machine because cheques is their business and it is improper to promise a product if they cant deliver it.

This was my first year getting my taxes done by H & R Block. Not only did the lady submit my information wrong which made me think I was getting a different return amount. She offered to fix it came up with a refund amount to be sent back to me then turned around and LIED about that as well?! What? So you mean to tell me i trusted this company to be upstanding and have the respect for their customers but once again i get screwed over. NEVER GOING TO H&R Block again! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE!

We filed our taxes this year with H&R Block as well. We filed jointly with disabled spouse due to him having two tumars in his brain. I am his care taker as well, I'm disabled but I do not get any benifts from SSA. My husband does because he was found disabled and he had more than enough credits to retire, he is only 50 years old. I could't believe that when we filed our taxs threw H&R Block they charge us $489.35 for fees. We have three children and we are low income. We made about $12, 00.00 this last year. Can anyone tell me if there is a max fee that any tax company can charge or even charge to low income famlies? I've tried googling that qusition and I didn't understand what some of those sites said about it. If anyone could be of some help to our tax's PLEASE let me know. My name is Rachel. Thanks in advance. You may contact me threw e-mail at xrftouchoflove@yahoo.com

As a newbie, you should have been routed to a senior tax preparer.
He/She could have guided you far better. Unfortunately, it sounds like
you got a rookie preparer. Every tax prep company hires new people and most of the new hires are less than desirable. Next year, ask for an
Enrolled Agent. If the office you select does not have one turn right
around and walk out. Good Luck!

I share your pain. They charged me $318.00 for taxes that are very basic, but I did not have time to prepare. They computed my information incorrectly and actually charged me over $350- before Ruth used her "coupon." When I spoke with the complaint department, Evy told me "too bad" and that she could give me a $50 coupon for future services. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IF YOU DO, ASK FOR THE PRICE UP FRONT AND REFUSE TO PAY BEFORE THEY TURN IN THE INFORMATION TO THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY! Evy told me this was my right to do this. This company is a total scam! They are over priced, inaccurate, and very deceptive. When I told her the price was too high, Ruth said there was nothing she could do and stared at me waiting for payment. This company is disgraceful.

Filed my taxes in February, they were accepted February 15th. Found out a month later, H&R failed to have the proper software on their computer which threw my taxes in corrections. I paid $388 to have my taxes done properly and they failed to uphold their promise. I contacted H&R's customer service dept. and asked about getting my preparation fees back. Was given a reference number and told I would be contacted within 5-6 business days. 14 days later I was contacted and told they were only refunding $25, the cost of the form, and that was their "final decision". I explained that was not acceptable as their mistake has caused my family and I a lot of financial strain and the $25 was not enough to fix their mistake. Needless to say the response was the same "I'm sorry but that's the final decision...I will make a not you are dissatisfied." The reason I used the Educational Credit is because I'm in school. My refund was going towards my tuition and books, which I had to charge on a credit card because I still haven't gotten my federal refund yet!

I went into the HR Block Website to do my taxes in Gilroy, CA. I had called ahead to verify that I would be receiving a W2 Form on-line. I was told it had been received and was in the office. When I got there it wasn't received. It took 2 hours to complete my simple tax return. By then I was so upset I just left. I kept trying to check the status of my return a bout a month after this occurred, but I wasn't on the HR Block website. So, I tried again, after two weeks it showed my information but instructed me to contact HR Block. After I called them I had to make an appointment to go see them a second time. I asked specifically if there wasn't anything that I needed to bring, to the second appointment, when I spoke to the corporate office. When I got there I was told that the taxes weren't filed correctly. Not only was there a misspelling of my name, but I was charged for a Emerald card after they put my bank information into the system. I was informed at the office that they needed my paperwork to redo my return, which was the same paperwork that I asked if I needed to bring. Her suggestion had been that she could go get it from the office, and I could return for a third time to do my taxes. After I left the office for 30 minutes, then I'm called by them again to say they could download it from the computer. Apparently, she wasn't aware of this while I was there. You would think that this step would have been done before I walked in for my appointment. I went back in again and filed my taxes. Now after I called corporate today I was told it would be followed up on. I saw the website and my taxes have been denied again. What do I do? After running around for close to 2 months, they still haven't gotten my taxes right. I have three copies of tax returns done by them for 2013 as proof of my claims, and I have been writing down specific names of everyone I have talked to.

I made a huge mistake of signing up for the H&R block training class before doing my research on it but luckily I decided to cancel on time. After registering for the class I mentioned it to friends and family and they told me some bad, horrible experiences with it on how this is really a scam and that H&R block doesn't guarantee a job and they make you sign a agreement that you can't work for the competition plus they only pay the minimum wage and they cut your hours in order for you not to make enough returns so you won't get paid the bonus. I am so glad I canceled but now I am having trouble getting my money refunded to my cc, its been 3 days and they say it takes 5, we'll see or I will raise hell on them. Lesson learned: DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE SIGINING AND REGISTERING FOR ANYTHING!
