Service my wife and I received today, September 24,2022
My wife and I went to the Hobby Lobby store in Garden City, Kansas. We were looking for stuff to lit into our classroom. We were looking for some dots for our classrooms. Unfortunately, we had problems finding people to help us find what we were looking for in this item. Then when asked for help, the employees did not want to help us. Finally, my wife and I gave up and ordered the item from Amazon.
Desired outcome: I want the employees to understand that they have customers who drive a long distance to shop at your store. My wife and I are from Dodge City, Kansas. We did not go 60 miles to be blown off by the employees.
This store is a fire hazard as well as other issues...
You advertised last week, 40 % off your Christmas decor...Me and my friend went to the Hobby Lobby in Canton, OHio last week...We are interested in the Christmas items...Last week, we found most of the Christmas items boxed up and in the aisles...I told my friend that maybe they just did not have time to unpack...So...we went three days later...same thing...boxes and boxes of items unpacked in the aisles...Very disapointed...upset...
We just went there again this morning...same thing...the same boxes and boxes unpacked in the aisles...you now advertise 50 % off the Christmas decor...Well...how are we suppose to purchase anything when the items are in the boxes...Not only is this wrong on so many different levels...but...as we tried to go through the store, most of the aisles were jammed...with boxes that were just sitting there...Also...we counted 11 employees standing around throughout the store doing NOTHING...except complaining about their personal life...We were not interested in hearing that stuff...so many times other customers were moving constantly around as well as us trying to get through the packed aisles...and...so many times they would say to us..."i'm sorry...we just can't find any way through at all." We watched a lady in a wheel chair who did have someone pushing the chair, but they could not get through any aisles...We had to move many times to try and accomodate her so that she could get through...God help if there was an emergency, like a fire because the customers could not...COULD NOT...get out...
Where is the manager?
When this store opened in July 2022, the employees were wonderful...The cashiers are wonderful...But...the majority of the other employees are lazy and rude...One employee saw us and asked if she could help...we wanted to ask her if she would go to the Christmas area and unbox the items for us...but...that would not be proper to ask her to do that since that area is not her job...so...what do we do?
Three times we have wasted our gas and time going to this store and ended up getting nothing because the stuff we wanted that was advertised was not on the shelves...This is insane and terrible customer service...
Done...not going there anymore.
Desired outcome: Can you please tell them to unload the boxes in time for the sale? Can you please tell the employees to work and stop standing around doing nothing as well as stop complaining about their personal lives? We don't want to hear that....
poor management in Russellville store
the mgr hired after Carol retired was responsible for my wife quitting after 18 detected years doing the same job. she was removed from doing the office work in favor of a much younger girl. she was given new start time that not even new hires would get so in my opinion he forced her out. now i hear after less than 2 months he has been reassigned to another store. so i feel hobby lobby should call her back a offer her her old job back. this all took place this year around june 15.
Desired outcome: offer her her job back. the same job.
Dog poop on the floor in one of the isles
Last time I was in Hobby Lobby shopping in Hot Springs, AR and enjoying my time, there was a large pile of dog poop in one of the isles on the floor. Disgusting to say the least. If Hobby Lobby continues to let people bring their dogs in the store, they could at least specify that the animals need to stay in the cart. I have three small Maltese dogs, and I wouldn't think of taking them into any store. I think that it is unsanitary, especially when a store sells food items. Needless to say, I left the store after seeing and smelling the large mound of dog poop. I wished I would have taken a picture, but I couldn't get out of the store fast enough.
Desired outcome: I would like to know that HL will revisit their policy allowing pets in the store.
Up pricing and then putting the item on sale
Upriced items by placing stickers for a higher amount over the lower NORMAL EVERY DAY PRICE, then placed the item on sale. Shady is as shady does, watch this crooked company! Notice the price is the same on both the large and small sacks n things. Then I noticed the 2.99 on the smaller bags was a sticker. I peeled it off to see a lower price of 2.49. They up priced the smaller sized bags and then placed paper crafts on sale. It's not much money on these items, but if they do this for one style or size of EVERY item they place on sale, they are CHEATING every consumer that purchases that product. I don't know if it's just THIS store in Batesville, Arkansas; but you had better bet I will watch EVERY item I purchase from them from now on out. If I notice it again I will quit shopping Hobby Lobby and drive an hour out of my way to shop Michael's or Joanns. Quit being shady Hobby Lobby, I thought you were supposed to be a Christian company. So much for that.
Store manager
Melissa Artienda, the store manager at the Springfield, NJ Hobby Lobby, slept with my husband on MULTIPLE occasions. And she dresses completely inappropriately for a family store - short skirts that don't even cover her butt, transparent see-through tights, cutoff shorts with her lips visible - that kinda of thing. I went to confront her about my husband and when I stormed into her office door she was bottomless, at her desk watching porn, playing with herself. AND she had the nerve to yell at me to get out!
Desired outcome: Apology
Complaint
I shop at the Hobby Lobby store near me ALOT! I work from home and some days I visit the store on my lunch break. Almost every time I am in the store, I am watched and sometimes followed as if I am going to steal something. This is so ridiculous and uncalled for! Several times an employee will position themselves at the door right before I leave! My husband...

I am extremely disappointed with not only hobby lobby but the customer service I received in regards to my potentially lost order placed on April 21st. The delivery date was supposed to be by the end of the day on April 27th. It is now April 28th and the status of my order is untraceable. I called customer service on April 28th and spoke with Khadeshia, who was extremely unhelpful and gave me no additional information as to when I can expect to receive my order, and also would not issue me a refund for this matter. I am writing to receive a full refund of my late/lost order as I do not feel like waiting for it to arrive any longer. Thank you.
Desired outcome: full refund for the product and shipping
Discrimination
I went to hobby lobby in Uvalde TX I've went there multiple times and have spend many of hundreds of dollars and have never stolen or even wanted to steal from there but every time I walk in the door there is 3 employees 1 of whom has become a manager now stop whatever there doing and will follow me through the whole store and they announce over the intercom that i have arrived to watch the cameras its every rude and uncalled for. They have nor reason to believe that im stealing they have never tried to accuse me in person but its every obvious they believe that i intend to steal. I wish they would leave me alone. And For them to tell me why they honestly believe I an trying to steal why they have profiled me as a thief i don't dress bad im well dressed other then my colored hair and I walk around for hours at a time I live in the middle of nowhere I like to shop when i get a chance too get out the house
Desired outcome: For them to tell me why they believe I an trying to steal and why they have profiled me as a thief?
Price
The frame holder that I was trying to buy had a sign posted on the endcap with all of them that said 50% off only on the endcap when I got to the register they said it was not 50% off it's only farm to table. The manager asked me to go back and get the sign that was on the endcap and he said this is only for wall decor so I asked why is it on the end of the...

My son got married on January 2, 2022 in Missouri. A week prior to this they bought a Just Married window cling set to use on their car. A week later at the wedding the temp dropped to 21° to which the window was not going to be able to be used. We had some items that we returned to the Hobby Lobby store on Jan 4, 2022 1 hour from us. My kids left to return back to Ft Bragg NC as my son is Army 82nd Airborne. The window cling was forgotten. I wanted to return the item and send the money back to the kids. I returned the window cling today Jan 20th 2022 to the closest store which is 40 miles from my town I also needed to return a shadow box so that I could get a larger one. I had the receipt for the shadow box so got my refund for it. They sent an employee to check and make sure the window cling was still in store and the price was $7.99. Employee confirmed item and price they rang it in then deducted 50% since I had no receipt. I received $3.99 and tax so $4.33. This is a terrible policy for you to have. I asked if I could have full price in store credit and was told no that is not their policy. Hobby Lobby is the only store I know that won't do store credit. So by shorting me $4 not only did you lose my business for a $30 shadow Box I was going to buy my sister in law put back the $60 worth of stuff she was buying plus you lost 2 customers for good for lousy business practices. We may only be 1 family but word of mouth travels!
Desired outcome: Credit for $4.33
Store cashier
I was just recently at your Greenville, Texas Hobby Lobby store - i was ready to check out and there was only one (1) cashier at the time then another cashier was taking the place of the manager at the time - the manager came up got the card or ID from the cashier acting in her place - the cashier said "next in line" i proceeded to go to her and she stopped...

My husband ordered my Christmas gift through hobby lobby. As a Christian family we really try to support Christian businesses its clear Hobby lobby is only for profit not for doing the right thing. My husband put the wrong address on the shipping. It was supposidely delivered to his old apartment complex however no one lives there. So it was delivered to no one. They say its not lost because the address listed is where it went. I guess the address is more important then the name. We went to the apartment the day it was delivered it was never delivered there. The apartment is vacent under remodel. All hobby lobby has to do is submit a lost ticket to FedEx so they can do thier job. But they refuse. Spoke to several people. They notated the account. Someone must have been on a power struggle because every single representative has been rude and not willing to help. This is absolutely crazy. Years ago I had a crib delivered to an old address I got through target. And the representative refunded my money so I could buy a new one. That was target! Who is a major for profit company. Over the years I have had many accidents happen we shop on-line constantly. We're a low income family with 5 kids to take care of. My husband was so proud of this gift he spent almost 500 on this, for us thats alot, and hobby lobby didn't even request a signature at delivery. That's a free service. Its clear hobby lobby doesn't respect its customers. This is absolutely heart breaking. I will never go to hobby lobby again. I requested to talk to the supervisor and the supervisor told the rep to send me to her voice-mail. No call back. This type of care speaks volumes. They representatives were unbelievably passive aggressive to my husband and no one willing to make anything better. We will recover from this, money comes and goes. But integrity is pretty valuable this company has non. It's sad when somewhere like Target care for thier customers more.
Desired outcome: Just submit the lost ticket to FedEx. So a solution can be made. We arnt asking for refunds or anything its mind blowing that this is such an issue. If you want to do what other companies do take down an accurate address and resend

Read full review of Hobby Lobby StoresCoralville, Iowa employees
I am writing because it has come to my attention that employees of your Coralville, Iowa Hobby Lobby location were acting in an unacceptable way of late. Please note, I am NOT an employee, nor am I speaking for management of The eatery where their party was held, but that I learned of this incident as a 3rd party. My information is correct, as I have since spoken to others involved as well as to customers who were also present on the evening mentioned. I am writing this to inform you of Hobby Lobby employee behavior that has left many concerned and disappointed.
In early December, employees of your Coralville, Iowa location had a Holiday party at a location adjacent to nearby Coralridge Mall. On this evening, they filed into the eatery in small groups, over a 3 1/2 hour timespan. Management was informed that all charges were to be added to one bill and that the bill for the Holiday gathering would be paid at the end of the evening. For over 3 1/2 hours, several of the waitstaff patiently and cheerfully waited upon individuals in this party, assuring the customers had a enjoyable experience. All of those present at the party were asked numerous times if there was anything the staff could do to enhance their visit. All left the holiday party seemingly happy.
Here is where the situation becomes concerning. The bill was paid in full by Hobby Lobby management, BUT despite all the extra care and time spent with this large number of individuals over almost a 4 hour time span, there was not a gratuity left. This was not an oversight, as management assured the eatery when booking this party, that gratuities would be taken care of.
As waitstaff took extra care and time out of their busy evening to ensure this party had an enjoyable experience, with several Hobby Lobby employees commenting on their speedy, caring service, the fact that tips were not left by your employees OR management when paying the bill, is extremely concerning. As you know, waitstaff employees are not paid in the same manner as Hobby Lobby employees, they count on gratuities to help their paycheck grow, and because of this, they give above board service, especially to those in a large group.
It might be understandable that your employees did not leave individual gratuities (perhaps thinking Hobby Lobby management would cover gratuities), but it is not acceptable that Hobby Lobby management did not leave a general gratuity when paying the bill, as many group Holiday parties have done. In fact, most eateries add gratuities to the bill when it comes to a large party, but this eatery did not. Special care was taken to arrange for this party, and a running bill kept as your management insisted.
As a customer of both Hobby Lobby & this eatery, I am disappointed in the actions of those working at your Coralville, Iowa store. After some thought, and discussion with others who frequent both business' it was decided that this manner needed to be brought to your attention.
After Covid-19, it has been increasingly difficult for all types of business' to ‘hang in there', but in most instances, employees of various business' have supported other business' to help everyone involved stay open. Employees who work food service are no different. They have chosen to frequent your store, and other business' so that others might keep their jobs. I, for one, commend them for reaching out, but I am disappointed in the way your Hobby Lobby employees treated wait staff at their party.
As I mentioned, I am writing this on behalf of a large group of individuals who felt an injustice had been done to the hard working waitstaff. We chose to inform you of this oversight as we felt management of your store was unapproachable. We are trusting you to address this issue with your management and employees. It is imperative that every business support other business' as well. For without local support, business' cannot continue to offer the kind of service offered previously.
Thank you for looking into this manner.
Signed: A group of concerned patrons
Desired outcome: A tip for this party needs to be delivered to the eatery
All products made in China.
Please ask Mr. Green to consider buying his inventory in the USA or one of our allies -- and not our enemy/China. The USA citizens have been loyal to Mr. Green financially and prayerfully in the past. There has to be USA companies he could deal with... It's sickening how 'Made in China' appears to be on every item in Hobby Lobby. Wishing Mr. Green a Merry CHRiSTmas!
Christmas
Today is Dec 3, 22 days before Christmas yet workers have been and are putting away lots of Christmas merchandise! 3 weeks left to Christmas, only 8 days since Thanksgiving. For a Christian-based organization, I find this incredibly sad! Some people do not start decorating until after Thanksgiving! Then, I get home and the cashier did not give me one of my bags! I'm sure they quickly realized it, since a shopper was right behind me. Now I will have to make the long trip again to retrieve my package. Really takes me out of the Christmas spirit! You need to do better.
Desired outcome: Make this situation correct. Gas is not cheap!

Called about this item at the Jacksonville Florida Store off of Ols St. Augustine location. Phone call taken by a young gal named Haven sho was sassy. Haven does not represent the brand of Hobby Lobby very well when she can be rude to a customer asking why they are being placed on hold so long.
Desired outcome: Provide customer service training for associalt
Sizzix die
Went into the store last week and bought a sizzix die at full price. I was told if it went on sale I had 90 days to request refund. It went on sale and I had my receipt. Store would not refund me without item and packaging after I stood in two lines.
I wasn't advise I would have to bring the item back in. To me this is deceptive. What good are your receipts to the customer if you do not honor them.
Most people throw the packaging away and use what they purchase. This is truly poor customer service.
