services
I purchased 10 items totaling $53 and change. When I got home I only had 9 items. I called the store to inform them the 1.99 sharpies were not in the bag they said they would review the tape. When I called back the manager said the cashier handed them to me. The sharpies were the 5th item on the receipt. Why would she had me those and bag the other items. It wasn't true. She may have handed me the candy the last item purchased. Poor customer services
hobby lobby policy
Last Saturday August 11th 2018, my friend and I were heading into Hobby Lobby when we noticed the van next to us had a small dog locked inside. The windows were cracked a bit to allow for some air to circulate but the temperature outside read at 87 and it was sunny and beating down on the all black mini van.
Another customer was sitting in her car keeping an eye on the dog and came over to us as we looked in.
She said she had already reported it to the manager inside Hobby Lobby but they refused to page the owner of the vehicle stating that it was a conflict of interest between the store and their customers. The lady that originally had gone in, said she had been keeping an eye on the dog for over 20 minutes.
I went into the store and asked if they could page the owner and they refused my request as well stating that it was company policy not to get involved!
I ended up calling the police and they managed to get the store to page the owners and remove the dog from the hot vehicle.
We were appalled and disgusted by the attitude of a store that puts more stock in upsetting a paying customer than the well being of an innocent dog locked in a stifling hot car! Making it worse coming... from a store that promotes Christian Values!
Shame on you!

framing department
I took in 2 prints to be matted and framed. The prints were similar in size but not exactly the same size. I asked them to make the mats so that they would be the same size and fit in the same size frame. They called 2 weeks later to say they were ready. In the meantime someone called me and asked about the mat for one of the prints and adjusting it. I responded, "As long as they are the same size finished." I picked them up 7/21/18. They were an inch different on each side, one being 11 X 17 and the other 12 X 18.
The person who took my original order was there and when I noted the discrepancy, he said he remembered me saying, the same size and it is written on the order forms. He said they would re-do them. I took them to the manager who said they were sorry, and that they would re-do them. However, it was for a gift and there was not time for that.
In addition, I was notified that discount coupons could no longer be applied to framing. Since I didn't have the time to wait for them to be re-framed, I believe there should have at least been a discount on the one who was framed incorrectly. I will take my framing and my business elsewhere, even though I have shopped at Hobby Lobby for over 20 years. I will also share my experience with my social media friends. This is poor customer service. It was YOUR mistake, I shouldn't have been charged for the wrong one.
felt discriminated by your employer
Today I went to shop at the hobby lobby in 3255 nw federal highway, jensen beach, fl 34957. I am a regular customer at this location. I get all my arts and craft needs here. When I went to pay for my purchases, there where only 2 registers open so I line up in register 1. I notice the cashier called for another register to open. When I seen that the cashier was ready to open up; I walked over and was ready to place my items on the register. I was told by the cashier, that no she could ring me up because she was going to ring some other people. I was like why if I was on the line first. Now, I was ok let that person go on ahead and then I will go right behind them no big deal. Until she tell me no. That she was going to take the people that where on the line. I told her I was on line to. She refused. Why I feel that it was racial was because everyone on the line where white and I am hispanic. Feeling bad I just went back to line that I was on thinking it was just me. But it turns out another customer in front of me notice and felt the same way and made a comment."those are the type of employees hobby lobby have working for them that a disgrace". But the only difference was he was white. So imagine how I felt, if this other customer felt the same way. I politely asked the cashier who did ring me up to please give me the cashier name I believe it was written like delorme or delorma something with that pronunciation. It look like that delorme or delorma did not like the idea that she gave me a dirty look.
If you would like to contact me for further information.
service
Haven't even left parking lot to fill this out. Store #364, time 2:48. 1 cashier-10 people in line to check out. 1 cashier called 4 times for help before anyone responded. Shame on all those who heard for help and didn't respond.
I have been to many Hobby Lobby stores and this has probably been the worst in checking customers out. Where was the manager?
mirror problem
I purchased an oval mirror at the Bristol Connecticut store and put it in my newly refurbished bathroom. I would say about a month later I noticed a line that had formed on one side of the glass, followed by a second line on the opposite side of the glass, beginning to race across the front of the mirror. I made the purchase a few months ago, since I've been in my new apartment since the first of March, 2018. I don't believe I still have the receipt, since I didn't think there would be a problem with the mirror, which when purchased was in perfect condition. I'd like to know if the mirror can be returned either for another mirror or for a store credit.
I would like to either exchange the mirror for another one, or get a store credit.
manager at hobby lobby store in tyler, tx
I was waiting at checkout and heard the manager Timothy on his walkie talkie to the other manager Jason and they were talking / making fun of an employee. I knew who they were talking about because I know the employee from my visits in Hobby Lobby and ordering flowers from her in the floral department. I was offended that they would be talking about one of their employees especially in front of costumers because people thought they couldn't hear them. It gave me such a bad feeling and vibe that I don't know if I would come back.
unethical behavior
I am a loyal Hobby Lobby customer and have been shopping in the stores for many years, which is why it is very upsetting for me to write this letter. I make purchase at my local Hobby Lobby very frequently, sometimes every week. Approximately 2 weeks ago (5.15.18) I brought a large, expensive tapestry to the frame department of the store #63 located on 920 S Monaco Pkwy Denver Co 80224. I wanted to frame the tapestry. The frame department agreed to perform the job and I happily agreed to pay $589 dollars for the work. Having paid about than $600 dollars for this work, I expected it to be perfect, however when I brought the framed tapestry home and removed if from the plastic that it was wrapped in, what I saw was very upsetting. The quality of work was terrible. The upper corners of the tapestry were attached to a piece of cardboard higher than middle . The stream on the right side was also thicker than the left side, and it was misaligned. Essentially space between frame and tapestry was different for each side.
I took several pictures of it and returned to the store next morning to ask for a return or for them to fix the work and to explain to the employees why I wanted my money back for the frame and the work. A nice employee at the store, who performed the work on the tapestry told me that there were several limitations when working with the tapestry and that its size did not allow her to make it the way that I wanted. She asked me to come back in the afternoon to talk to her manager. Later that day her manager, Candy, very politely repeated that the tapestry is big and that she though the work was good. I asked if there was any possibility to fix the job and she said that it was impossible. After this she called the store manager, JIM.
Very politely I showed Jim the photos and wanted to explain to him why I wanted to return the frame and receive a refund for the work and apologized for the inconvenience. Instead of listening to me Jim interrupted me and did not let me finish talking. He did not want to speak to me and said that I did not understand anything in this line of work and that he is the only one who understands .
He called me a "persona non-grata" and told me that I can never come back to the frame department, essentially banning me from the store. I asked him why he is being so rude, and in response he changed his face and through his teeth, in a threatening tone told me that "I am smiling at you." Then he said that if I wanted a return I must pay 10% from the $589 because his worker "wasted her time on me."
I finally brought my large tapestry to the store, stood in a long line at the cash register. I received my money back and at the same time Jim stood next to me and told me again that I could "never come back to the store to shop, " but then changed his statement to "I can never come back to the frame store." He said that he never wants to see me again.
I think that Jim's behavior as a manager and representative of your company is extremely denigrating, offensive and unprofessional. I am a very shy person and he made me feel like I stole something from him. Unfortunately, I will never come to this store again because I feel spat-on and extremely disrespected. As a business owner myself I would never allow an employee to treat a client or another human being in this manner.
Sincerely,
Irina Senatorova
baby wall decor picture frame
I have been a very loyal and happy customer with Hobby Lobby, but today, I was very disappointed. While I was looking in home decor at the Hobby Lobby in Elk Grove, CA, I picked up a picture frame that I had interest in. The back of the frame completely broke off, landed on my shin and the glass shattered on the floor. I looked around for help and waived at the person who seemed to be the manager standing by the register over to me. He didn't seem very interested in helping me but came still over. I quickly told him what happened and he never asked if I was okay, picked up the frame and the broken glass, said he'd take care of it and walked off. There were still pieces of glass on the floor. As I picked up another frame, that one also broke apart on me. A woman witnessed that incident and asked if I was okay because the glass looked like it hit my face. When I turned the frame over, the pieces that were to supposed to hold the glass in tact were broken. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the items that are being displayed, sold, and the manager who was not very helpful or even concerned for his customer. I took pictures of the second broken frame since the manager had taken away the first one. You can see that the back was loose and broken. There were not caution signs put on the floor and it took about 10 minutes for an employee to come and sweep away the broken glass. My shin still hurts and will probably be bruised.
product
Hello,
Let me first say I am long time Hobby Lobby customer, conservative and Christian. A few months ago I viewed the Hobby Lobby story available on Right Now Media and I literally was moved to tears when made aware of the founder's devotion to honor God in his personal life and business.
So I was extremely disappointed to see Hobby Lobby selling merchandise that adds to this country's divisiveness. I was recently in one of your Texas stores and saw a plaque that read "OUR FAMILY, We stand for the flag and kneel for the cross". As a patriot and Christian I am confused as to why this would even need to be said. Has kneeling for the cross ever been compared to the flag?
I urge those in the merchandising department to remove this item from stores across the country before it becomes another negative media story for Hobby Lobby. That type of messaging takes away from the true mission of Hobby Lobby and Christ. The person who created this plaque is completely misinformed about the "kneeling" statement being made by my athletes in America.
#1 The knee was taken to the national anthem not the flag.
#2 The knee is actually to show respect to our country's military while making a statement regarding the injustice that many people face in America today.
My point is the point of view of the person who created this plague is based on inaccuracy and this is the reason why Hobby Lobby should not get involved in things that are so politically charged and has nothing to do with a Christ Centered lifestyle. If anything it's a poor representation of what Jesus would do.
Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another

racial profiling in retail establishment
I Mrs. Smith entered Hobby Lobby in Howell NJ 07731, on or about May 18, 2018. I was in the clearance section and I found some pretty nice deals. I found some items that I really liked and I put them in my cart and proceeded to the register. Once I got to the register the cashier (Tori) rang up my items and then hesitated and said I have to call my manager to check the prices (clearly marked on the product). I said is there a problem and she said no. The assistant manager (Chris) comes to the register and tells me that the price is not correct on one particular item and that its possible that I changed the price. I asked her was it because I was black that she didn't honor the ticketed price and she said that customers sometimes change prices. I told her I didn't change the price but I want the item for the price that was on the item. There can be no delusionI (Manager Chris) humiliated and blatantly called me a thief and a lair. It's undermining. It's hurtful. And it's became stressful enough to threaten my health that my children had to witness theirs 'NO zero tolerance policy set forth in (Hobby lobby 4578 U.S. 9 Howell NJ 07731) stores against racial profiling. My family were a targeted of retail racism which is not only pernicious, it's illegal.
customer service for coupons
We got two identical framing mats cut and the woman in the dept. told us that we could use the standard 40% off coupon. We picked up the mats and they were shrink wrapped together which was great. When we got up to the register, the lady at the register said we couldn't use the coupon for the one order but instead took off just from one mat even though they were shrink wrapped together and on one ticket.
She said "they are two orders" and when I argued with her in a nice way she basically told me to deal with it. She was extremely rude. Hobby Lobby has the worst employees and needs to communicate coupon policies across departments. If I had known I couldn't use the 40% off coupon for the one order, I would have selected a less expensive mat. I will never, ever shop there again. This is the final straw after numerous bad experiences. Buyer beware!
not honoring their marked down items
On Friday, May 11, 2018, I went to Hobby Lobby to purchase a few items. However, I found some wedding invitations that were marked down with yellow stickers on them and the cashier decided to have the manager confirm the price. The manager name was Shelia and she told me that she these items are not marked down and she can't sell them to me at that price. And she looked at me as if I had put the yellow sticky on the boxes. So I told her, there were a lot of invitations on the end-cap marked with yellow stickers. She left saying she was going to check it; so she returned and said they (the invitation) had not business being marked down. So she told me she will allow me to purchase 2 boxes of the invitations, which at that time, the cashier had rang up 3 of the boxes and she had the cashier to take one box out and remove the charge from my receipt. I had 8 boxes I needed to purchase and I felt that she should have honored the prices for the 8 boxes I wanted to purchase because of the "so call" invitations should not have been marked down. She (Sheila) just took all the invitations without discussing with me and I asked her why I can't get them and she told me "these are not marked down and I don't know who did marked them down; I'll let you get 2 of the boxes." Then she gathered the boxes and turned around as if I didn't exist. I didn't start a commotion in the store because I didn't feel that was the appropriate way to deal with the situations because she already had some sort of bad attitude. I felt extremely disrespected and felt that she should have allowed me to purchase the invitations I wanted to get since they were marked down with yellow stickers. See pictures included
However, I also purchased a Fleur-De-Lis Stampabilities stamp. This stamp was with all the other stamps that was marked down with yellow stickies but this one did not have a yellow sticky but the cashier told me that she said to discount it. These are some extremely mixed-messages and I felt mishandled in the store in front of the customers behind me looking on and that was another reason I didn't want to make a commotion because Shelia (the manager) appeared to be self-centered and all about her. I hate when things like this happens because it's not the store, it's the people the store leaders allow to represent their store. I strongly believe that I know I should have been able to get those invitations at the price they were marked down to because it was the fair thing to do.
I really needed those invitations to complete the invitations for my client wedding that's on June 1, 2018 and I needed to get the invitations out this weekend. Now I have another delay - thanks, but no thanks to the manager - Sheila.
I would really appreciate a prompt and fair response.
As I feel like I should have the opportunity to go back to that store and purchase my invitations at the price it was marked down to, which is $4.99. Again, your help and corporation is greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to hearing from you extremely soon.
Thanks
Irma
cashier
Reno, Nevada store
Cashier - Jenni
Supervisor - Maria
Today at 1pm, I went to Hobby Lobby to buy document frames for my office. I also picked-up some beautiful dried flowers.
The cashier, Jenni scanned the dried flowers and set them on the right hand side of the counter. She then proceeded to scan the frames. She say two frames on the fragile flowers before I said something. I said, let's move the flowers so they don't get crushed. She laughs at me. I ask her if that was a problem and she said all of the items go on the right side. I said you could have moved the flowers first. She said I only set one frame on them. I said no, you set two of them on the dried flowers and why is she arguing with a customer. She said have a good day ma'am. She said that 2-3 times and kept calling me honey, very condescending. Her supervisor Maria was there at the end of the registers in hearing and viewing range, she did nothing about it.
I come to this store often for home and business supplies. I spend a ton of money here too. I know the labor pool in Reno is terrible right now and probably not the best employable people.
I do wish that you counsel Jenni and let her know how better to have handled the situation.

employees profiling because of appearance
To whom it may concern
I was shocked by your employees at our local location. Me and my husband were doing some craft shopping as we entered your store we were uburtly approached by two women immediately upon entering asking if we needed assistance. As we politely said no and continued on to the leather working section two more employees again asked if we needed assistance we again said no thank you. This is were it gets greatly disappointing for us me and my husband went our separate ways in the store to get what each of us were looking for I noticed as I was passing into the sewing section I was being followed by an older woman who had just asked if I needed help so I turned and went into a different direction was immediately approached by yet another employee. My husband was coming up the ilse behind me as the same employee that originally stopped us at the entrance and again in the leather section stops him as he turns to look at sewing awls so we just decided to get what we needed and check out. To our surprise the store manager and two of the ladys that were following us were standing in front of the exit door watching our moves. I do not appreciate nor except the profiling of my husband and I, he was just getting off work and still in his trench lab coat yes it is a dark blue and huge but it gives no one any right to follow us around a complete store with no reason. I'm not sure how or why this location operates like it does but I can firmly say that we are not and will not ever step foot back on hobby lobby property. It's very disgusting to have experienced this from a company that my husband has personally worked with in 8 different states. My husband did place a call to your corporate office and was met with complete ignorance and attitude the young lady on the phone stated am I quote (sorry you feel that way, goodbye) This is not good business nor will it look favorable upon your corporation when this hits the news my husband has already spoken with our local news agency's upon being dismissed by your corporate office employee. I hope this message is not just tossed aside because we will push this issue further until we get a formal apology and this is made right.

customer service
Hello my name is eileen bradley, I shop at my local hobby lobby often. Most often, because I work puzzles and have them framed at the "frame shop" in there. My most resent visit 4-23-18 approx. 7-30 pm a young lady around the age of 25 yrs old, brown hair, medium weight (didn't get her name). I touched the border, to show her that, that was the border I wanted. She snapped at me, "dont touch that"! Really embarrassed me. She really made me feel unworthy.in which, I am not. I spend very good money in this store due to my hobby of puzzles. I get every single one framed in there.in fact, the older lady that is usually always there, unfortunately wasn't there that day, and my experience was awful! No one should yell at anyone like that. Especially a well paying customer like myself. I felt degraded, profiled and over all, unwelcomed! Unsure of whether i'll be returning.
my gift card was depleted out of nowhere; returns
So I made a return from items that was left over from painting my newborn bays room that we no longer needed I had receipt for half of the items and did not have a receipt for the other half... I purchased some things with card before I left the store that day well I had seen a book shelf that I wanted far her room and waited for my husband to come back to the store with his truck to help the very next day well we got to check out and the remaining balance of card was gone and we had a message to contact the fraud department to resolve the issue well come to find out this had happened to a few other people in that store that very same day a worker had told me so they like to take your money for no reason and absolutely humiliate you it seems like to me and I am pissed!
Then maybe stop stealing from our stores. We have you on camera. You’re not welcomed back ;).
