Home Depot online service

I have made two online purchases in the past month to the tune of about $1000. The first was on June 11 for almost $800 (includes express delivery and taxes). This order, (#WB15509520) was acknowledged on June 12 and shipped for delivery on June 15. Considering that this was placed over a weekend I was very pleased.

Now to the second order #WB17669073. Entirely a different story. I placed this order on July 6 for almost $300. I then checked my account on July 8 to see the progress. Account said that it was in process. I continued to check every day and the progress had not changed. Considering inventory situations in the US I thought it might be and "out of stock". I checked my local inventories as I had done before placing the order and saw the there was plenty of inventory. So, on July 11 I called your Corporate number. The lady that I spoke to took all my information. She checked and found that the order and not been placed to be picked and shipped. She made some contacts and was able to have it delivered the next day. I asked what about the "Express Delivery" fee and would it be refunded as I had to call just to get the order moving. She told me to call back after my delivery. I did this and called on the 12th. The service representative listened to me and put me in contact with a manager from the shipping store (I believe it was Anderson). I did not catch the ladies name and should have asked for a clearer pronunciation. She told me that Express does not mean Express. She also told me that I had not told them when to ship. I informed her that that option did not exist on the order. She then said it was not her store's fault that it had not been picked or shipped earlier but the Corporate office's fault. She then said she would not refund the fee as she had to pay the driver. She really just wanted to argue.

My guess is that Express does not mean express. That placing an order does not mean you will get it. That my money is nice to use but I do not deserve the product in a timely manner. I have spent over 50 years in the retail industry and have never seen a total disregard for the customer that this manager showed to me.

Home Depot Home Depot New Appliance Gas Stove Hook Up

I just had a recent LG appliance delivery. The delivery men did not hook up my gas stove correctly! The delivery was late morning on Weds 7/13. Upon leaving, my husband asked them if the stove was connected properly as we want no issues and they replied, "oh yes, all set up fine". The next morning my gas detector alarm was going off. I therefore called my Nicor gas company to come out and inspect. And what do you know, gas was detected behind my stove. Per Nicor the gas stove was not hooked up correctly! This is so unacceptable! Do you realize my house could of blew up! People/ pets could of died. Why would you send these inexperienced people out to do these jobs? And they should be required to test the area for a gas leak before they leave!

I am so disappointed in Home Depot. Thanks for the $215 credit, what a joke! Should of been alot more!

I really hope you look into this and this done not happen to anyone else.

Desired outcome: I want this to actually be looked at by Home Depot to make sure this doesn't happen to other people!

Home Depot Customer service

I called Home Depot located on Century Blvd. in Inglewood, CA. I called to ask about an item/an appliance. A gentleman answered at 12:18 pm, I asked him if he can help me locate an item, so that I may place an order on line, he then insisted that he would transfer me to order the item. I wanted him to see if the item was available first, he then with a mocking voice said, "I will transfer you to appliances", I repeated that, I wanted to see if the item was available, he then rudely and mocking me continued with a weird voice, " I w i l l t r a n s f e r y o u s o t h e y c a n h e l p y o u". This is unacceptable, this is customer service and the gentleman should have been a little more patience.

I had just called the Home Depot in Whittier and the gentleman there assisted me and looked up the item.

I don't understand why this was difficult for this person. I am currently on hold to speak to someone or a supervisor, but no answer not sure if there is caller ID, but this is ridiculous it's 12:42pm. I started the call at 12:18. A young lady answer the phone, and stated "home depot, please hold"

Desired outcome: This person needs to be trained to be a BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKER if not, he definitely is in the wrong department. I do want someone to reach out to me!!![protected], [protected]@yahoo.com

Home Depot Receiving

I absolutely HATE delivering to your company. If I had a choice I never would again! You can show up at menards and just deliver. You can show up at lowes and just deliver. But I have 2 pieces for home depot and they cry and whine and say we HAVE to have 24hr notice. How pathetic! Almost every home depot delivery is met but complete jerks in receiving on power trips. If I was the ceo I would change it ALL!

Desired outcome: Get rid of the 24hr rule and do their job.

Home Depot Management, I was an employee

This company is misleading and shady. The store in Northlake, IL... The management is deceitful, corrupt. They bring you on as a seasonal employee, part-time but you work full time... That's ok, and they give you a 3 month period... If you last, they tell you that you're a permanent employee. 3 months... They said who told you that, it's after 6 months. They continue to lie, and once the holidays are over they bring all those employees separately in a room, so out of nowhere. They either terminate you or say sales are down and give you 5hrs/wk. They say you can reapply when things pick up. They promise you everything, the hours are so weird. You might work sat-thursday, every day different shift. Never get 2 days off in a row. They watch you like a hawk on the cameras. Gus, the store manager, is the most slippery, 2 faced, cunning human being I've ever met. Don't believe him! Then there is mob, the manager of the day. Here, ethnicity has nothing to do with it, I'm just describing her so you immediately know who she is. She is of Mexican descent, short, obese, and the most horrible person I ever met. One day she's a cashier, then she is mob. She mistreats the employees to the point she should be fired and arrest on harassment charges.

Desired outcome: Fire all management, especially Gus.

On feb. 10 i ordered a vanity, it came late because it was in back order. two weeks later arrived cracked in half, sent it back and reorder.. again in back order and arrived with small scratches, dent and wrong color. we reorder and after seeing all the problems we were having decided to keep the scratched one and just touch up the paint, we called an hour later and spoke with Samar to cancel the third order, he assured us that it was cancelled, i asked for a cancellation number but he didn't have one and he would send one later via E-mail...never got one. i called again the next day and spoke to a female that told me to hold on and 25 minutes later she hang up. i called again and another young lady told me that she checked in her computer and assure me that it was cancelled. The following day i get an E-mail saying that the vanity was on its way to us, i called again and Ashley ask me to hold on and we once again got disconnected.

and to wait until ist was delivered and call back to have it returned. This is Kathy Egusquiza at [protected] the last order #was CP39745357

Desired outcome: I feel that we deserve to be compensated with a substantial discount, BTW we have been loyal costumers for over 35 years and don't deserve this hell we have been put trough.

Home Depot Water test

On 06/28/22, I was shopping at Home Depot (#0246) on Lake Mary Blvd, Fl and was approached by a man wearing a Home Depot apron. He asked me questions about the water at my house and promised me a $20 gift certificate if I gave him my phone number and answered the questions. I was called on 7/7/22 and found me and my wife also would have to meet with a salesman who was going to come to my house.

I was lied to by the store rep. I did not receive the $20 gift. What a scam. Shame on you Home Depot for promoting this behavior.

Desired outcome: $20 gift card and don't let these people roam your store.

Home Depot Installing a washer and dryer

I purchased a washer and dryer. The delivery team was involved in an accident two stops before mine. One of the individuals could not carry the washer and dryer upstairs and the installation was not completed. They left the appliances in my living room. No phone number to reschedule. After 2.5 hours, I found the "correct" phone number and people to work with. I explained that I had completed what was required of me to complete the delivery and needed to schedule a new time for the installation. I was informed that I could not request a time frame even through I was not at fault and that the time frame was 10 days in the future. I could not accept an afternoon or evening install as I was/am scheduled to flight out of Denver Friday July 8th. I received a call saying that the install would be sometime between 3:30 and 7:30 PM. This time frame does not work and should never have been schedule as the request should have been in the file notes. The install and movement of the washer and dryer one flight of stairs should take about 15-20 minutes. Where is the customer service? Again, it is not my fault that the installation was not completed. I have now learned that having accepted the appliances, and damage or if they do not work is now my responsibly. This is unacceptable. Having now spent six plus hours and still do not have an installed washer and dryer, I would like compensation. I would not have purchased from Home Depot if I had known that the delivery service is more powerful than Home Depot and that Home Depot and their customers are slaves to the delivery company. Also, I find it very curious that the delivery company uses enterprise truck rental. How fly-by-night is this company? Are they even insured or if one of the people get hurt in my house am I liable?

Desired outcome: Unknown. Purchase experience tainted. Full reimbursement & installation based on my availability. Disclosure on all future appliance purchases that delivery & install by third parties. HD does not have power to resolve complaints/issues.

Home Depot Refunding my credit card for a cacellation

I ordered a patio set with Home Depot online which was not delivered on time. No other information was provided to me to on 7/1/22, I cancelled my order and promptly received an email with the cacellation number. I have been several phone calls asking which the refund will show on my credit card and can get no answers other than its pending. Today 7/7/22, I spend over one hour while at work calling and getting the run around as to when the monies will show on my account, First I was told it should have been applied 7/6/22, then I'm told 7/11/22, then another supervisor disconnected the call and now another supervisor wants to give me $50 credit for my aggravation. Are you serious! Just put the $537.49 back to mly account since I never received the patio set and cancelled the order 7/1/22. And finally I am told it will take another 72 hours to research why the refund has yet to be applied. This company has the worse customer service and I will never do business with Home Depot again.

Desired outcome: I want the amount taken out of my Home Depot credit card for a patio set that I cancelled put back on my account without delay

Home Depot Rats in store!

Store 6516 in Texas.

My wife and I were shopping inside of store today. A rat ran up to her foot and then disappeared. One of the employees said we have a rat problem. What is going on? If someone gets bitten you will have a serious problem. Should I let people know in my community not to shop there? This is unexpectable!

Home Depot Product Purchased 4 new GE appliances 10 months ago GE stove complaint

Purchased multiple GE appliancee 10 months ago and additional insurance. Using GE stove I noticed steam in oven window when baking, chicken, ribs, fish or any food. Rust or dirt appeared inside oven door. Phoned Home Depot--merely told me to phone GE. Phoned GE--they sent technician a week later. Technician came in and said "Oh, that is a cosmetic problem and it will cost $300 to repair." Technician R. states: "They no longer seal oven and microwave doors: When you bake or broil something and a little grease or water spats onto inside of oven door it drips down and will automatically enter between the glass and cause grease or rust issue. I will repair for $300." Technician states that GE oven doors or microwave doors are no longer sealed." Phoned consumer affairs GE; discussed with Advocate--she contacted technician that states it is cosmetic. She said it is cosmetic. Asked for supervisor and she states supervisor will phone me. No phone call. It makes no sense; if you use your oven, all oven doors will have some splatter and drip on the window and the glass is not sealed. Did they make the appliances this way to have $300? repairs-- no value to repair as the probelm will reoccur. Technician laughed and said: "You can't see so bad as your appliances are dark.

Desired outcome: Have them repair at no cost and seal and publicly note on ovens and microwaves that doors not sealed. Safety Issue--Fire may start inside oven door.

Home Depot The home depot protection plan powered by asurion – 5 year protection plan.

The Home Depot Protection Plan powered by Asurion – 5 year protection plan.

LG Refrigerator M# LMXS28626S/00 purchased 12/2018

Claim# [protected] ([protected] service)

If I hadn’t kept some type of documentation of this process I wouldn’t believe it really happened. But it has and is still happening. It is amazing after talking to over 18 different individuals and sending over 14 emails that as the customer we have been treated with such disrespect and indifference. Everyone at every level, including the supervisors, have failed to understand that this was a REFRIGERATOR that is broken and should be resolved immediately NOT continue for 3+ weeks with no urgency to resolve. They have lots of excuse but no resolutions. They have got this process down to a science where they act like they are working towards a resolution but really they end up grinding you down and frustrating you.

The process began on 6/9 7:00am and continues as you read this. I was hoping over this period of time that we would have gotten someone with the power to resolve and close this nightmare. Boy was I mistaken. What was the point of the 5-year protection plan? We have been patient, disappointed, hopeful, reasonable and frustrated during this whole process. It is no big deal when it is a microwave, dishwasher, stove, washing machine or dryer but this is a refrigerator! At this point we just want to end this process by taking a buyout for this appliance which is part of the protection plan. But NO we have been continually stonewalled. To Home Depot and LG we are nothing more than a tennis ball sent back and forth over the net, into the black hole of empty space.

I have been promised many times along this process that someone would call and talk to me about resolving this issue but to date no one has called me. We have been without of refrigerator for a third weekend in a row.

It is all the people, supervisors included, which continually read off scripts that failed to understand that this is a REFRIGERATOR that is not working and shouldn’t take 3+ weeks to resolve. My only question; Is this how a large company can treat their customers, who buy their products and/or services, with such contempt and disdain stay in business?

This process has brought us to rethink where we will purchase our hardware needs in the future. Don’t buy this protection plan because they will do everything in their power NOT to honor it!

Desired outcome: At this point we just want to end this process by taking a buyout for this appliance which is part of the protection plan.

Home Depot The Overall Home Depot as a business

I can find NOTHING AT ALL good to say about HOME DEPOT. To briefly summarize, I worked for Home Depot as an associate and experienced terrible support from the Home office in Atlanta...Way too many problems to list here.

There appears to be no QUALITY CONTROL over products...I purchased a lighting fixture for my bathroom a while ago and None of the installation parts fit or work properly at all...I am an Honorably Discharged U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran. I applied for a Veteran discount and was approved, but when I got to the store NOBODY knew how to get my discount. With Lowes when they approved my papers as a veteran, all I need to do is give them my phone number and I get the discount...I decided to come back to home dDepot as an employee about a year ago. During my re-entry process there was a problem that could not be resolved at the local branch and the local branch was unable to get a resolution from the headquarter in Atlantic. OVERALL, Home Depot is by far the worst managed company I have had any dealings with in my 80 years on this planet. I don't expect anything to change because the same leadership at all levels is still in place.

Desired outcome: I think the problem is at the very top level of company leadership and as long at those folks are getting huge salaries NOTHING WILL CHANGE.....

Home Depot Shed and base installation

Hello Home Depot,

I am writing with regards to the installation of a base & shed.

We paid both for the shed and base installation.

I have received the shed last week around Thursday 16 June 2022.

We had already booked an appointment (while purchasing the shed) for Monday 20 June for the installation.

On Friday 17 June, someone from quick contractors left a voice message on my husband's phone (he made the purchase online), saying that home depot did not send the order for installation of the shed but only for the base. She asked us to call home depot for an order for the shed as well.

We did call home depot on Friday 17 June evening and till today 21 June, no installer or contractor has called us to assemble the base and the shed. Also when I call agents, they keep asking me if I paid for the installation of the base and shed. I keep saying yes for both.

They say they will send the request to quick contractors and I should be getting a call today or tomorrow. Days pass and no one calls me to fix an appointment. We have called home depot, the booking Department so many times.

On the home depot order, it was mentioned that an installer will contact us within 24 hours from the delivery of the item. But this never happened.

The shed is lying in my driveway as I do not have anywhere to keep it and it is dangerous. It can be stolen.

I feel that my rights as a consumer have been violated and home depot has not kept its word.

I am making a request that home depot look into this matter urgently and have an installer come at my place to install the base and shed by the end of this week Friday 24 June, following which I will file a complaint with the Ministry Consumer Protection Ontario.

Kindly get back to me on this problem urgently.

Thank you for a response.

Lutchmee

Email: lutchmee. [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: I want an installer to come to install the base and the shed by the end of this week Friday 24 June 2022

Home Depot Online Order

I purchased a Ryobi 100 ma zero turn mower in May and then got a message that the divery company fast mile would deliver on June 8th that day came and went. I contacted home depot and was told to contact fastmile to which I told them no one answered. I was told by customer service would call me back but no call so I went to fast miles tracking site and then saw the delivery date update to June 14th that day came and went and then fast mile updated their site to show that it would be delivered on the 17th that day came and no show called home depot and take to a customer service rep that i explained the issue to and to which he replied it coming and i said so is Christmas and got pass to customer retention specialist she called the fast mile people and said it would be delivered on the 19th that day came and went, the tracking site said it would be delivered on the 20th from 12 -4 pm no show text home depot customer service and was told that it was delivered on the 14th and I was told this I apologize, but I have triple checked in our systems, and it does show delivered, and verification was provided by carrier. At this time, we would need you to file a claim directly with the carrier. If at that point if it was determined by them to be delivered, you would need to dispute the charges with your financial institution. I am sorry I do not have a better answer for you at this time. [protected] - I am checking to see if I can provide you with a better phone number. To which I replied if the purchase was delivered why does their tracking site say it was to be delivered today and was given the fast mile number I have been calling all week. Then got this text after I wrote if they have delivered it why does their tracking site show it was updated to 6/21 now. It seems that Fast Mile accepted the order on 5/31, however, it was stuck with a line haul carrier and never received. I am working with a supervisor now, and am truly sorry for this. Please bare with me and I appreciate your patience. I asked if there was no record of my calls to which I got ,There was not, no sir. Last interaction and notes I see for this order was June 17th, and there was no case created. I am sorry we dropped the ball. At no time was I offered any compensation for the 8-20 that I sat home waiting on the product to come. I was basically called a liar and when I said cancel the order they were fine with it and then sent me a customer service rating text. I sent this Okay so if they delivered the mower why did they just change the delivery date to 6/21/2022 now no answer

Desired outcome: after all the delays and lack of customer service. all I wanted was my lawn mower

Home Depot Home Depot Store Credit

I was issued a store credit for a return without a receipt that was put on the in-store orange Home Depot card. I have since used the card 2 times, have both receipts that show the last 4 digits of the in store card and remaining balance $1189.39. Not sure if the cashier at Home Depot kept my card or it was lost.

I have called the store and they claim its treated as just like cash. I think there has to be a way to track this. The computer system has the transactions, scanned the store card, scanned my drivers licensed. Seems to me there is away to go back to the last date it was used and figure something out. I have spent a crap load of money especially since Hurricane Ida at Home Depot trying to get my home back to livable standards and still have a ways to go. Been ripped of by a fraud contractor. I sure can't afford losing the balance of this store credit. I will be putting a call in to the Corporate Office in hopes that they can help me.

Desired outcome: I would like a replacement store card with remaining balance placed on it.

Home Depot I cancelled an order 15 days ago and still have not recieved the refund

I ordered a refrigerator on May 21 and it was scheduled to be delivered on June 4th. It did not arrive on June 4th and I was informed by email that it would not be delivered until July 1st. I could not wait that long, so I called Home Depot and cancelled the order. I received an email that day showing that only the installation and service charges were cancelled. I called Home Depot again and said that I expected the entire order to be cancelled, not just the installation and service. And I asked when I could expect my refund. The person on the phone said that I would have the refund within 10 days. On June 19th, I still had not received the refund. I called Home Depot again and they stated that my cancellation was "in progress". I pressed the cust. service agent and he called Maytag. Maytag had never received any cancellation notice. This is sloppy and incompetent behavior by Home Depot. I will never buy an appliance from them again.

Desired outcome: I want my refund quickly and an apology.
