They are liars!
They are liars! I would put 0! They said they would fix the truck and nothing! The point is they took their truck back! Really mean.
This place is the worst!
This place is the worst! They'll waste your time, I'm telling ya. They say they got the car you want, so you go all the way there. But then you gotta wait forever while they try to push other cars on ya. And guess what? They don't even have what they promised you! It's just plain wrong and their business practices are the absolute worst.
The person in charge of finances, named ***, told me a fib about the extended warranty for the car I purchased from them
The person in charge of finances, named ***, told me a fib about the extended warranty for the car I purchased from them. The transmission has stopped working on the car, and it hasn't even been 2 years since I bought it. He claimed that the car had a 4-year warranty, but it actually only had a 2-year warranty. Now they want to charge me $5000 for a new transmission. I have called him multiple times to talk about this issue, but he has refused to respond.
The reviews below are probably all true, as I experienced it today
The reviews below are probably all true, as I experienced it today. I got a quote from Thomas via email and we agreed on a price. I confirmed twice before driving 30 miles with my 78-year-old mother to their dealership. However, Thomas was nowhere to be found. In the end, they couldn't give me the agreed price. They were painfully honest and told me that Thomas' job was to "get people into the showroom or else they'd have no traffic." I'm not sure how having "traffic" benefits their business if all these people leave with a bad impression. They showed no remorse and said they deal with these situations all the time, so whatever. I can't control what people write on the internet. Well, if you receive a price from them via email, it means nothing. They just want to lure you in. Don't fall for it.
NO STAR! I am gonna grade them
NO STAR! I am gonna grade them. The 1 star showin is the lowest so I can post this. U better be prepared to deal with these people. I just bought a CRV EX 2020 after excruciating 3 hour thorough discussion about the financing, I ended up comin back to inform them that the vehicle has a dent and re-touched/painted to conceal the damage and have not disclosed during the sale of a brand new vehicle. Although the dent is so tiny and couldn't notice when we inspected the vehicle especially at night, the issue is not the dent but how the company lied and deliberately conceal the damage of the car. I even requested them to just fix it but they declined to sort the problem. I am totally disappointed on the lack of good professional service from the saleman, Kendal, (he's nice but not the decision maker) the manager Mike to Carolina (the owner/manager). Shame on your practices, very dishonest company. Dissatisfied buyer.
I contacted Thomas *** online last week
I contacted Thomas *** online last week. He quickly connected me with Mike S, the sales manager. They accepted my offer and requested a $500 deposit on my credit card to hold the car until I could come and sign the papers and take it home. But when I arrived after a 63-mile journey, the terms changed from 60 months to 72 months, and the payment structure was completely different. Thomas and Mike didn't have the decency to apologize in person; instead, they sent another manager who was really rude! She said that businesses get both good and bad reviews, and it wouldn't matter in the end when I threatened to share my terrible experience and expose Honda City Chicago's unethical business practices. What a terrible response! I don't recommend anyone buying a car here. They're thieves, dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I believe all three of these individuals should be fired!
If I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars, I definitely would
If I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars, I definitely would. The folks working here are trying to trick customers, you know? How? Well, my buddy and I went in to buy a car and the test drives were fine, but when it came to the actual price of the vehicle, which was listed at $22,645, they added a bunch of random charges like $1,898, $1,995, and $1,000 with a 0% finance rate. So yeah, we could have gotten a 0% finance rate, but they tried to scam honest folks out of their hard-earned cash. The customer associate, ***, and the so-called "manager" named *** tried to scam us. We don't play that game, so we'll take our business elsewhere. We left there right away. Oh, and don't forget, that didn't even include the extra taxes, so it would have been like paying an extra $10k. Instead of $22,645, it would have been $32,645. They tried to act like those charges couldn't be removed and even blamed it on COVID. That's nonsense. Don't fall for these "auto dealers." They're just trying to squeeze every penny out of you. Someone should report these crooks to the Attorney General's office and let *** know about it. Thanks for your time and have a great day. -A Concerned Citizen

I bought a car from this dealership on April 5th
I bought a car from this dealership on April 5th. I got a Tacoma and traded in my 2016 Challenger. They gave me ***k for the Challenger and around 8 grand went towards the new Tacoma I picked. They told me they would pay off the old vehicle and not to worry about anything. It's been more than 30 days now and I have 2 late payments on the Challenger. My credit is going down and I've been trying to call *** but he doesn't answer the calls.
I bought a car in June 0f 2019, it was a 2019 Honda HR-V
I bought a car in June 0f 2019, it was a 2019 Honda HR-V. I finished paying for the car in June. Since then, I've received a few letters about an insurance refund that Honda owes me. They told me to get in touch with Honda City to handle the transaction. I've tried reaching out to the Finance Manager, ***, by leaving messages and contacting the management at the dealership. But I haven't heard back from them at all, whether it's through phone, email, or regular mail.

I bought a car from Honda City and I had 14 days to pay the remaining $1,000 of $2,500 down payment, which I successfully did
I bought a car from Honda City and I had 14 days to pay the remaining $1,000 of $2,500 down payment, which I successfully did. I was told during the signing that once I fulfilled my part of the deal, I would receive my second key. After waiting in the lobby for about 30 minutes, the salesman and manager came up to me and said they don't have a second key. They both smiled and chuckled, saying they won't make one and there's nothing I can do about it. Naturally, I got angry, but I managed to control my emotions. If this had happened 20 years ago, things would have ended badly. So, feeling embarrassed, lied to, and made fun of, I actually cried as I left. My family, including myself, has purchased three cars from this dealership over a 30-year period. All I want is my key.
I wanna talk about the refund stuff at the Honda City dealership
I wanna talk about the refund stuff at the Honda City dealership. So, I called this guy Jeff Fisher, who's the Finance Manager, a bunch of times but he never called me back. So, I went to see him on March 20 to ask for my money back for the GAP coverage, extended warranty, and road hazard plus warranty. I sold the car that I bought from them, you know. They told me it would take like 8 to 10 weeks to get my refund, but they didn't explain why it takes so long. I didn't expect to get a check right then and there, but waiting that long seems kinda ridiculous. I sent an email to Mr. Fisher and Mike Siddiqui on March 25th, but they haven't answered my questions or given me my refund yet.
I wanted to trade in my old car for a Honda and went to get it financed
I wanted to trade in my old car for a Honda and went to get it financed. When I arrived, a salesperson greeted me instead of the lady I had an appointment with. This guy claimed to have more than 23 years of experience. I had all the necessary paperwork with me, including my credit scores and proof of income from my military retirement. I made it very clear that they should not run my credit through more than 2-3 financial companies. I went on vacation and when I came back, I received 11 letters denying me credit. Needless to say, I was extremely angry. I went back to South Honda and asked to speak to the manager, but he never seemed to be there. I even emailed them a week ago to complain, but they never responded. Eventually, I ended up talking to the F&I Manager, ***. It turns out, they had actually run my credit 14 times! This really messed up my credit score. Their practices are harmful to customers.
On Friday, April 23, I went to Honda City to purchase a 2019 Chevy Tahoe LT
On Friday, April 23, I went to Honda City to purchase a 2019 Chevy Tahoe LT. James Fisher handled the financing, and I informed him that I didn't need anything special. However, he convinced me to buy an extended warranty, and I agreed to it. The paperwork was signed using an iPad, and I reiterated that I didn't require any additional insurance. James seemed fine with it, but he was in a hurry. He quickly printed everything and put it in an envelope without much thought. I was a bit upset because, after signing, I realized they didn't have the extra key. I had to spend $187.00 to get another key made.
On Sunday, I had the opportunity to review the contract and noticed that I was charged $795.00 for Road Hazard insurance and $895.00 for Gap insurance. I called on Monday to speak with James Fisher, but they informed me that he was off. So, I decided to go in on Wednesday, the 28th, to talk to James Fisher directly. He assured me that he would remove the charges at the end of my last payment. I asked for confirmation, but he wouldn't provide it. When I requested to speak with a manager, they were not available.
Then, on May 12, I returned to Honda City to speak with the management, but they were also unavailable.
I bought a used car from Honda City and I made a down payment of **** $
I bought a used car from Honda City and I made a down payment of *** $. They said they would fix the back bumper, rear light, wheel locks, and give me a second key. They were supposed to schedule an appointment in a week or two to fix these things. But now, less than 30 days later, the check engine light, service engine light, parking brake light, and a flashing red Park light came on. The car won't move, it's like the emergency parking gauge is stuck. I tried to disengage it but it didn't work. The car also has only 15% oil life left and the engine light is on. I'm paying *** $ per month for a car with all these problems and I haven't even had it for a month yet. The total cost is *** $. I need help resolving this issue as soon as possible. According to the Lemon Laws in Illinois, this is not acceptable and they are not trying to help me or let me trade the car back in. I don't want to pay *** $ for a car for 7 years when I'm already having problems. Please help me with this issue.
I went to the dealership to buy a 2018 *** Utility Intercepter vehicle for $13,988
I went to the dealership to buy a 2018 *** Utility Intercepter vehicle for $13,988. Stock P4967. I was paying in cash. The salesman told me that if I didn't buy 2 add-on protection plans, the sales manager might not sell me the car. I told the salesman that I didn't want to buy any add-ons. I just wanted to pay cash for the car, including tax, title, and plates. The salesman went back to the sales manager, *** and told me they were giving me a discount on the add-on plan. I told the salesman again that I wasn't interested and asked to see the paperwork to sign. The salesman was asking for money without giving me any documentation and trying to force an add-on plan on me. Then the salesman said that he wouldn't sell me the car because I didn't want to buy the add-on plan. He walked away and didn't give me any paperwork or further assistance. The sales manager also refused to talk to me. I tried calling on the phone to complain, but I kept getting sent to voicemail. I also called Honda corporate office to make a complaint.
Dear manager of the auto parts and service, on July 13, I took my car to get service at your place
Dear manager of the auto parts and service, on July 13, I took my car to get service at your place. According to the diagnosis done by a mechanic, they didn't find anything wrong. My husband had to show the mechanic where the noise was coming from. Then, they realized that my car needed new struts. We found out that the warranty I paid for might cover this repair. We had an issue because the service adviser, Jon Aguilar, said the warranty department wasn't answering his calls to file the claim. Jon told us we had to wait for a response from the warranty department before proceeding with the repairs. On July 18, Jon called us and said the warranty would cover the service to replace the 2 struts and mounts. After that, they did the service. According to the service contract, 2 struts were installed. The contract also states that the parts have a warranty of 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. On 11/14, I took my car to a different Honda dealership because it had issues again. They diagnosed that both front struts were broken. I told them the struts were replaced a couple of months ago. They advised me to go back to Honda City since that's where the service was done and they should fix it since Honda City made the mistakes. We scheduled the car for service on 11/17, and we took it between 9:30am-11:00am. I explained the problem to the service advisor. She said there was no warranty on labor or parts. I showed her the service contract stating that I did have a warranty. She kept insisting that I didn't. She told me to call the warranty department and deal with them directly. Her supervisor said they could re-diagnose the car to check if the struts were really the issue, but they would charge me around $100.
plained that my car was still experiencing the same issues after the service
plained that my car was still experiencing the same issues after the service. She apologized and said she would transfer me to someone who could help. After being on hold for a few minutes, I was finally connected to a technician named ***. I explained the situation to *** and he said that I could bring my car back in for further inspection. I scheduled an appointment for the next day.
On July 8th, I brought my car back to Honda City and met with ***. He assured me that they would thoroughly check my car and find a solution to the problem. I left my car with them and waited for their call.
Later that day, I received a call from ***. He explained that they had found the issue and it was a problem with the transmission. He said they would need to order a part and it would take a few days to arrive. I was frustrated, but I appreciated their honesty and willingness to fix the problem.
A few days later, I received another call from ***. He informed me that the part had arrived and they were ready to fix my car. I scheduled another appointment and brought my car in.
After the repair, I picked up my car and drove it around. I was relieved to find that the jerking and pulling had stopped. The car was running smoothly again. I thanked *** for his help and left the dealership satisfied.
Overall, my experience with Honda City was a bit frustrating due to the miscommunication and delay in fixing my car. However, I appreciate their efforts in finding and resolving the issue. The staff, especially ***, were helpful and professional. I would recommend Honda City for their service, but I hope they can improve their communication process to avoid any future inconveniences.
