Raspberry zingers
I bought a package of hostess raspberry zingers in july 11,2023
They had an awful after taste that wouldn’t go away after drinking a cold glass of milk
My mouth was left feeling there was a film remaining on it.
I have been a hostess fan all of my
I am now 51 yrs old
Seems like the quality has gone down hill somehow after hostess went bankrupt in 2015 products were removed from the market shelves entirely then brought back like the formulas with new company are different since the changes
The tastes aren’t the same and residue are left in mouths after eating
Who doesn’t enjoy a fresh hostess snack treat with cold glass of milk
Me because the quality isn’t there
Bummer
Desired outcome: I would like the company to send coupon for box of any type of product but raspberry zingers ( they are the only ones I have issues with )
Jumbo donettes
I purchased a package of your jumbo donettes today with the expiration date of 07/26/2023. I ate one of the donettes and thought hmmm this tastes weird. I get home and grab the other donette and it's covered in mold. I still have the donette and I am waiting for my lawyer to call me back. How would you like to proceed. I am more than likely going to the hospital
Desired outcome: Payment for time that I am going to be missing from work. Hush money
Ding dongs
At 10:30 pm I went to Walmart, and bout some ding don't, well I'm not sure what you are putting in your ding dong but there is a very weird substance in them. I'm saving these ones I bought and reporting them to the FDA, It's like a fine silver metal. It's disgusting. I love ding don't but these ones have some weird substance in them, they look different, texture is different and has made me sick.
Desired outcome: I would like whomever put this substance in the food charged with food tampering, and I would like compensation for getting sick. You can see the substance on the package.
Baby bump chocolate drizzle
My daughter took her 2nd bite and a piece of glass hit her tooth and she spit it out, not a tiny piece either a nice size grain, this is horrible and I will be taking this to the full this carelessness in factory can not happen, it a little child would of ate this it could of killed them.. 06/21/23 @ 7pm bought from gas station at vernor and green in detroit michigan, refund would be great but not enough
Desired outcome: She is terrified to eat anything to that sort
Hostess ding dongs
I’m not sure if we had a bad batch but the cream actually tastes chemically not fake cream taste i mean a strong chemical taste and smell so offensive, I spit it, out rinsed my mouth out and took it right outside to the trash can because the smell was a worse than gasoline smell.
I purchased these at Costco so as you can imagine I had quite a few. It wasn’t all them the first ones we ate were fine. But then we got the bad one and that was it we threw the rest out.
I think it actually turned me off of hostess for good after decades.
Same here. My daughter and I was sharing a ding dong after dinner tonight and it tasted like it had been doused with turpentine. We started to throw it out then I decided not to in case we get ill from the bite we had. It is really sad our food has come to such a disgrace!
I’m ding dong ditching this crap
I purchased a box of the 10-pack of Hostess Ding Dongs, which is a family favorite in my household. However, I was extremely disappointed with this particular box. Out of the 10 cakes, only 3 were actually properly iced with chocolate on the outside, and 2 had small spots of chocolate on the top. The remaining cakes were dry and lacking in flavor. Furthermore, the 3 cakes that were eaten had a peculiar metallic taste, reminiscent of sucking on a penny. It was a complete disappointment and not up to the usual standard.
I will definitely not be purchasing Hostess Ding Dongs again. I'm not sure what has happened with the quality control at Hostess, but they have certainly dropped the ball. This experience has led me to lose faith in the brand, and I will not be buying anything else from them in the future. I sincerely hope that Hostess can improve their products and deliver on their reputation.
Desired outcome: Refund or hostess to admit they suck and are ripping people off.. I’m sure I will receive neither.
Cupcakes opened in box
I bought a box of patriotic cupcakes on june7,2023 at Kroger middlesboro ky. I opened the box and my husband and I ate three total out of eight. I went to empty the box into a container and one was opened and hard, and another one had two cupcakes in one package and it was also opened and hard. I have receipt where I bought them and I opened them the same...

I bought this product just a few minutes ago at Dollar General Store.
It is never that I buy something like this for myself because I'm on Social Security and money is very tight.
When I got home and tried one it was terrible and dried out. And they even smell bad! I checked the date and it's still good as far as the date is concerned. But the product is awful 😖
Desired outcome: Either want a coupon or my money back
Hostess cupcakes, old sell by date
My name, Edwin Almedina, [protected], [protected]@gmail.com, on 06/01/23, I purchased some hostess cupcakes from a Price rite, sold by date on package was 04/16/2023, product was outdated, my kids already had consumed the cake before I noticed now I can't return to store, even though package had to b opened to notice I am just looking for a refund or replacement, and in future make your participating retailers aware of removing old stock
Desired outcome: Refund or replacement of product
Twinkies 16 pack
Good morning. I am extremely upset at the latest packaging/product size for hostess Twinkies. I've been purchasing Twinkies for many many years and always wondered why there was not a bigger box. Yesterday I went to the store and was excited to see there was a box of 16 twinkies, instead of 10. So I purchased it. After I got home and opened the box, I was extremely disappointed. I'm very hesitant to purchase anymore in any size box. I won't go into details on what disappointed me. I think the picture below says it all.
Desired outcome: Reduce the package size to show the actual size of the product or (preferably), put the 'normal'size Twinkie in the box, not a smaller version.
Cherry fruit pies
I have purchased 4 boxes of cherry fruit pies and only 2 or w3 pies in each box were eatable. The pies look like they exploded. The juice has leaked out through their wrappers and they are all stuck together. We really enjoy the apple and cherry pies but cannot afford the buy and just throw away. The code on the last box is J12288200362X with a sell by date of 07/01/23 and were purchased on 05/21/23.
Zingers
I love hostess zingers, but I haven’t bought any a while but I bought a pack at a mobile gas station, in Ypsilanti Michigan off Washington Avenue and I opened it up and I ate the first one and then I went to take the second one and it was kind of stuck to the cardboard, so I looked upside down and there was this black thing stuck up in the middle of the middle zinger, and I took it out, and I turned it upside down and it’s a cockroach! I thought maybe I just gotten some burnt part of a zinger but no, it’s a cockroach! And I ate the whole first zinger. I literally forced myself to throw up. I would never make such a complaint if it wasn’t true, and I don’t expect anything in return except that is absolutely disgusting. I have no idea if I’ve been exposed to any kind of germs or contaminants, but the fact that it got into the food and was baked into the bottom of it is vile. I would at least like a refund. I know if I take it to the gas station they’re not gonna give me a refund they’re not gonna believe me, but I have never sued anybody in my life. I’ve never returned anything and worn it first I’m not that type of person my parents raise me with integrity and to be honest but this is absolutely disgusting and I really hope I hear from somebody I am so grossed out that is I know things can happen in factories, but that’s just really really, difficult to deal with like I don’t think I’ll ever buy a hostess product again and I always buy your donuts cause I bring them to work by the way, the package was perfectly sealed. There was no opening in the package. I order a lot of things from Amazon every month and I’ve had things leak so I’ve learned to check openings of bags before I buy them because you’d be surprised what people do in stores, but it was perfectly fine And I couldn’t tell from the bottom because there’s a white cardboard bottom if I’ve been able to see the bottom maybe I would’ve seen it but I’ve never seen it’s hard and then when you turn it upside down you can see a tan belly with little legs!
Desired outcome: Refund
Donettes Crunch mimi donuts
I purchased a bag a bag of mini donuts from Menards 2221 North Steven's Street Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501 on March 25, 2023. I opened the package on Saturday (March 27, 2023) for breakfast. The donuts are dry and hard. What concerns me most about this situation, is that that sell by date is JUL 06, 2023. I'm sure that was a misprint, that it should have been JUN 06, 2023. Either way, these donuts are already dry and hard (package was still sealed) when I opened it. The UPC code is [protected] 2.
Desired outcome: Replacement or refund. Why was that date another 6 weeks away? I don't believe it was correct.
Hostess blueberry Muff’’n Stix
I just left Walmart on 109th Doty Ave. in Chicago today which is May 15th at 9:23am, I purchased a box of Hostess blueberry muff’n stix and the box was closed but when I opened the box to put them in the pantry one was opened and it was smaller then the other ones that was in the box, I don’t know what’s going on but please be careful when packing our snacks because my daughter eat these, i’m very disappointed about this
Zingers devils food
I purchased a 10 count box of zingers may 13 2023. I ate one that day. The icing was rock hard the cake was very stale . The expiration date is June 12th 2023. The whole box wasn't that way it was about 1/2 the box. It's just irritating the prices are so high and when you pay that and your product is sub par it not right. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: No sure.

*Cakes were misshapen and broken

Very disappointed when my bichon didn't even like them...
Desired outcome: Please refund and tell me why the discrepancy
Ding dongs
I love Hostess products, and even though they have all gotten smaller, I still buy them. My problem was a 16 pack of Ding Dongs that I purchased at Walmart in DeRidder, La. There is supposed to be a chocolate covering on them and we checked each one and some had a little on top, some a little on the the side, but not one was fully covered. I was truly disappointed.
Desired outcome: A response would be nice. If a mechanical problem then have it replaced.
Hostess Vanilla Zingers
This is the second time I have bought the vanilla zingers and they have been hard as a brick. But this time they even looked bad. Bought April 22,2023 at local grocery. Opened box this morning immediately threw 3 away due to the way they looked. Tried to eat one and could not due to it being so hard! This is ridiculous! I don’t usually complain about things like this, just throw away and that’s it but the way prices are so high these days consumers are getting ripped off. I can’t even find an expiration date on the box.
Raspberry Zinger
Grabbed a zinger out of the box and noticed something black on the end of it. When I broke the piece off to inspect it, I couldn't figure out what it was. It was a hard piece of something that I still am not able to identify. In the pictures I took, you can see where the piece was located on the Zinger. Needless to say, I quickly lost any desire to eat Zingers and threw the box out. It was disgusting. I am so disappointed that the Hostess products that are being sold now are so different from the products the original Hostess company made.
Desired outcome: Apology, Refund
Hostess jumbo devil's food honey bun

I have pictures and all I buy hostess all the time and this is not acceptable they are suppose to clean the shelves of out of date product this clearly hasn't been check in awhile March 2nd it is not April 19th that's almost 45 days..
Desired outcome: Refund and or new and refund
