Donettes
I bought a bag of donettes from a shell gas station in fruitland iowa and they were a month past experarion I can’t believe they wouldn’t remove expired products from the shelves I ate one and it was discussing and hard that’s when I seen how much past expropriation they were. I like your products usually I am suprised this even happened and this is my first complaint. This happened 1/10/2023 at around 330 pm is when this happened
Desired outcome: You could send me some unexpired products maybe
Zingers
We purchased a box of Zingers and a box of orange cupcakes at Winco in Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 last week. The box of Zingers is unacceptable. 3 of the individual packs were opened on one or both ends! They were dry and disgusting! Unfortunately, I do not have the receipt or the outer box. I still have the outer box for the orange cupcakes, though. I think you should refund the box of Zingers or send us a new box. Thank you.
Desired outcome: See above. Please refund or replace the box of Zingers.
Hostess hohos
Finally found them in the store again. Very hard to find. Bought around January 4, 2023 at Buttermilk Hollow Road, Shop-n-Save, West Mifflin, Pa 15122. Expiration date February 8, [protected] 6:29. The outside chocolate was crumbling away and most did not have the outside coating at all. Very disappointing. Hope to find these more easily.
Desired outcome: A couple of free boxes.
Hostess bouncers ding dongs
Packages not closed due to cake packing malfunction. There are supposed to be 3 cakes in a package the box we bought had 4 cakes crammed into 1 package, which led to smashed dry cakes and the packages being open at one end. We had to throw them away. Obviously a manufacturing mishap in the packaging process. Bar code #[protected] Best by Feb 16 2023 numbers under best by are J12 08 23000A3420925
Desired outcome: Some kind of refund and I would like a response why this happened.

Hostess Iced Vanilla Zingers
I bought a box of Iced Vanilla Hostess Zingers from Walmart, Dickerson Road, Nashville, TN around the first part of December. That are very hard/dry. Even in the past when I had out of date Zingers they were not hard/dried out like these are. The packaging seemed to be fine and the cake looked okay. Below is the information from the box.

Donettes
Hostess Donettes don’t taste as good as they used to, but I have a worse problem. Some new ingredient in the recipe makes me physically ill. Both the chocolate and the white powder Donettes upset my stomach and give me painful stomach aches. At first I did not attribute this suffering to the product, but with repeat incidents, I have isolated that the cause is the Donettes. I won’t be buying them anymore but thought I should warn others in case they wonder why they feel sick after eating this product.
Desired outcome: Look into new recipe/ingredients or production facilities for added or new elements that could cause the problem. May be preservatives.
Hostess chocolate zingers
It's not enough that food prices have increased 25-50% or more the last 2 years then we get greedy companies and manufacturers not only raising their prices yet also reducing the size/qty of their products. I might understand one OR the other but consumers are getting gouged from all sides.
I do not buy sweets or pastries very often yet after seeing where this product has gone to where it is today to about 2/3 the size they used to be,
I will not purchase anymore from Hostess and I will recommend the same to friends and family. It's a shame how companies take advantage of a fake, blown out of proportion situation as well as the consumers that prop them up in the name of "capitalism". Sadly this is just one example of hundreds of others.
Desired outcome: None.
Hostess zingers
We purchased a box of Hostess Zingers from the Walmart store in Lebanon Tennessee on Cumberland Street this past Saturday. Wedtern we got home...like I always do...I start to tear open the boxes for easier access while Im making lunches in the morning. I picked up the box to open it and thought to myself man this feels really light so when I opened it there were only six zingers in there. There were no holes in the box or nothing. I will include pictures. Please feel free to contact me at [protected]@gmail.com. Thank you
Desired outcome: Refund or Replace
Iced Vanille Zingerd
Good evening, while looking for but not finding any raspberry zingers, I purchased a box of iced vanilla zingers instead. Upon opening the box to eat one, I noticed it was very dense and had not creme filling as indicated on the box. Thinking it was a fluke, as I have always loved zingers, I tried another and found it was also quite dense and lacking in creme filling as well. I tried 2 more, but both were the same as the first 2 cakes I tried. I fear they will all be the also and am very disappointed in the box I choose. I worry that they may have been from a bad batch and you may want to recall them, as they are not up to the great standards of the hostess family. The numbers on the side of my box are as follows; J [protected]:32.
Thank you for your time,
Toni Myers
Glazed donettes
I bought a bag of glazed mini donuts on my way home from Dash Thru carryout in Portsmouth, Ohio. I usually purchase them DAILY from another carryout that's close to my home. I got home later then I usually do which is why I wasn't able to get them from my usual store. And because my wife and I literally eat them every when we get home from work, I had to go to another store to get them. I'm disgusted. I've never had a complaint or a single bad thought about any Hostess product for as long as I've been eating them. But this is much different. The donut I jus took a bite from almost ruined the product for me entirely. The only thing saving me from this, is the fact that I buy them so often from my regular store that they are always fresh and on point with my chocolate milk to say the least. The ones I purchased tonight are horrific. They taste permeated with chemicals and cleaning supplies. Which makes me wonder how long they have been on the shelf at the location mentioned above. And of course I didn't think to look at the best buy date until after I ruined my whole appetite and night with the first bite. The date is 09/20... This is Dec 2022. I'm absolutely appalled. I hope this is resolved and taken seriously. I'm also taking the bag back to the store on my way to work in the morning.
Desired outcome: Replacement, coupons apology, refund. Anything that shows I've been heard and my business is appreciated.
Hostess dingdongs 10 pack. But when I opened the box there was only 8
I bought a box of hostess dingdongs 10 individually wrapped and only received 8 in the box. I purchased it from azteca supermarket in Detroit mi . The address is 2411 central Avenue Detroit mi 48209. I bought this 12/15/22. I know mistakes happen but would like to be compensated
Desired outcome: Another box or partial refund
Ding dong
I bought a variety pack at sam's and the ding dongs have a very strong, bad chemical smell and taste. As soon as I put that in my mouth the smell hurt my nose. I bit into it and vomitted. Please look in to this issue. The bar code on the box is [protected].
Desired outcome: recall
I had the same problem. Keep reading many others having the bad chemical taste. I don’t want any more ding dongs. I want to know what I ingested!
Ding Dongs
I recently bought a 10 count box of ding dongs and I, my wife and son tasted and we agree each tasted overly Minty. They are near inedible with this unwanted addition. The batch number is J [protected](also in the picture below). The transaction date was 12-12-22 at a local Walmart and I do still have the receipt. If you require any other information please do not hesitate to ask as the store would not accept them to return since the box had been opened.
Desired outcome: A replacement box would be appreciated but otherwise just wondering why they tasted so minty in the first place.
Those in the individual size (of 2) don't taste minty, but definitely a different recipe. I don't like the knockoff kinds, like Little Debby, and other forgettable names that I've eaten while traveling. I was told that Hostess was bought out and that the recipes came with the name. Well, if they aren't going to use the recipes they purchased, I'm not going to keep trying them. We stopped eating the chocolate cake donuts a long time ago. Just had a hankering for a Ding Dong. and ding dang-it, it was gross. The Hostess cupcake is nasty, too. I can still eat the powdered sugar and the crunch donuts, but nothing else. So, Hostess has died two deaths.
I also bought a box of 10 count, and agree that they taste minty and are nearly inedible. I will not be buying any more of these.
Snoballs
These snowballs are normally really soft and good these were very stale tasting and disappointing. I bought at a local Walmart in Houghton lake Michigan says best by January 15 of 2023 they were not good. The package says j11012100305 only had them for about 4 days before I tried them not sure if packaging was damaged before purchasing very disappointing I love these.
Glazed chocolate ding dong bouncers.
Your ding dong bouncers would have been great, except 2 out of 5 packs only had 2 bouncers instead of 3 and a third pack had an open end, so they were VERY dried out and inedible. I bought 2 boxes at Thanksgiving for the grandkids to enjoy. Thank you. I have always bought Hostess products, and was very disappointed when this happened, let alone that my grandkids didn't get their promised treats. I hope that you can fix the problem and restore my faith in your company. If this happened to me, I am sure it has happened to others also.
Desired outcome: please refund , or send coupons for different boxes .
Hostess DingDongs
Purchased at WalMart in Ravenna, Ohio end of Nov 2022. Unfortunately do not have lot number because we threw away the box. Several of them tasted fine. However most of them taste extremely disgusting, like soap or chemicals! The taste and smell is so bad i almost vomited and could not get the taste out of my mouth. They taste and smell rancid. I would say atleast half the box.
Desired outcome: Refund or further information about what was wrong with the product
I had exactly the same problem, same time frame. I would really like to know what it was, though perhaps it's better for my mental health if I don't! The stink was so bad, it permeated my entire garbage can.
Me too! Feel I need toxicity screening. I wonder how many are sick. There are just too many reports about out of date sales and chemical taste.
