Trustworthy collection agency
I have to say, I worked for this company in La Crosse, Wi and they are NOT a scam. When hired, we go through i think it was 6 weeks training and area monitored by our team leads. We call on debt that was sold to IC Systems. Your debt might be a certain amt of money, but when you don't pay your debt, interest adds up. At the time I worked there, I dealt with HORRIBLE ugly comments by debtors. They have a few options to help you pay this debt. People think collections just call to harass you or scam you, but the simple fact is, if you paid your debt when it's due, you wouldn't receive mail and calls from collectors.
There is no need to be rude, call names because you didn't pay your bill. Be accountable for your decisions.

I checked my credit report after I received a notification saying that I opened a us celluar service on 11//2/2023 and closed it and it went into collections 60 days later. First of all I live in georgia where there aren’t any us cellular locations here. I have a different carrier and why would I open up and account and keep it for w/o months. It makes no sense. This is a fraudulent account and I have filed complaints with the attorney general, ftc, bbb, transunion and more. I’m reaching out to you in good faith to get this matter resolved immediately because under the fdcpa and fcra, several violations have taken place. Also, please see hjr resolution 192 of 1933. This issue is harming my family and I as I am in the process of purchasing a home. Again this account is fraudulent and ic system need to remember remove this from my credit file or I will not only sue for defamation of character but a slew of other violations. And each biolation I can compensated $1,000 per each violation. I’m a very reasonable person and again, this account is not mine. I actually had a fraud alert on my credit but removed it while being in the house hunting process. With all the breaches with these credit reporting agencies I know my information was compromised several times in the past so I wouldn’t put nothing pass transunion as november 2022 they had a data breach so it’s obvious my information was compromised. All i’m asking is for this fraudulent account to be removed.
Desired outcome: To be removed from my credit immediately

You pay your debit and they send your collection to Experian
I had a utility bill in a house I rent and I didn't even know about it. When I found out I called IC Systems and paid the bill. This was in May 2022. I asked them to send me a receipt and they said they would mail it to me. 2 weeks have passed and I have not received the receipt. I called again and they said again that they would send it to me. I didn't get the receipt again. Yesterday morning a collection appeared in my name of this debt in the 3 credit bureau. I called IC Systems yesterday, spoke to the supervisor, again and they said they would email me the receipt. I didn't receive it again I called the utility company and they said the collection agency did not report the payment to them. I call IC Systems and they say I have to talk to the utilities company but I don't have a receipt that can prove the payment. And I can't do anything to get my credit restored because I don't have a receipt for a debt I paid. This is my right., Do not make payments to this collector agency.
Removal of this bill and my info address.
This is the second letter I am receiving from I.C. System Inc saying that I owe
a bill from Creditor as Cox Communication. They give an account number and a reference number. The bill is very hight, the amount is $1.077.47 and I do not have a clue as to where this comes from, and where they have taken my name from. This is absolutely a fraud with my name and address.
Comcast
This collection attempt is fraudulent. I have never had services installed from Comcast in any form. This issue was supposed to be settled when I spoke with IC System in August of 2021, and it is still on my credit report and should be removed. For the simple fact I don't owe anything because services were never provided. I have been in my home for 16 years and have never used or had any Comcast Products, so why should i pay for a service that I never got. This is in reference-to-reference number [protected]-1-69 for the amount of $186.50. I have always had AT&T service since I have been in my home. Please resolve this matter as soon as possible.
Desired outcome: Remove from credit report and stop all collection attempts. I would like to receive notification when this is done.
Erroneous collection notice
I received a collection letter from I.C. System Inc. Stating that I had a debit from 12/8/2020 to Comcast (Xfinity) of 649.62 and offering to allow me to settle it for $422.25. I contacted Comcast as I ended my service with them in January 2021 when I relocated to SE Texas. They informed me that my current account balance was $-7.42. That is they owe ME $7.42 because I overpaid on my last bill. I do not know how this account was linked to my name, let alone my new address where Comcast has never provided service, but there is no way to contact this company other than via mail. I will be returning the form they sent stating that I want to dispute because it is NOT my debt, but I suspect this either a scam or they will continue to try and get any money they can from me. What other recourse do I have. I this hits my credit report I will have no choice but to sue.
Desired outcome: This account disassociated with my name and no further contact with these leaches.
Wrong person
IC Systems Inc put a collection on my credit report for $289.00 acc# 64817 called them 5/20/2021 to let them know they had the wrong person they said they could not help me .Have to send a letter to all 3 credit reporting agency .I have to fix there mistake bad practice .it was posted 5/16/21 I was not contacted about this to let them know they had wrong person. there mistake and i had no way of knowing this .IC Systems should do proper research and not just grab names I would like it fixed. And a sorry letter from company
Desired outcome: remove from my credit report
collections.
IC systems claims that I owe $85, 419.08 to Palm Beach Brain and Spine. I say that I do not owe this debt. They are threatening to report this to the credit reporting agencies. What do I have to do to resolve this? I dispute the validity of this debt. I do not want to be harassed by this company and if I have to take legal action against them I will.
this “business” claims to be honest debt collector
I have received many calls from this company to the point that I am complaining!
They asked me to verify my street address and also continued in the same vein for other personal information. I will never give personal information over the phone.
I researched this company. Online, this company describes why it asks for personal information and basically tells readers it is necessary for them to ask for personal information over the phone. SCAM
DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH ON YOUR ACCOUNTS TO SEE IF ANY ARE IN COLLECTIONS.
FYI, I have no debts. Total Scam!
FUNNY HOW EVERY "debt collector" is INDIAN!
harassed for erroneous information - fraud alert!!!
Unbelievable. About a month ago (sometime in may) I received a call from this group. We had just moved into a new leased home (we get transferred often, part of the job) in january in the same town, with all that involves and which includes piles of mail from former tenants. I got used to "glancing and tossing." I have no idea whether or not I tossed two envelopes from ic system. We also get a great deal of junk mail. It may have happened. I had no reason to suspect that anything was amiss. I repeat, I had no reason to suspect that I might any outstanding debt.
Then I got a call on our new home phone number from a slime ball at ic system. Sorry, but that's the only description that fits. He wanted to know why I hadn't responded to their two attempts to bill me for my overdue phone account by mail (I knew I owed at&t nothing, we were paid in full and were using a new phone system at the new house) and how I was going to pay him that day for the $108 I owed to "at&t." say what? I told him I had no intention of paying a "debt" I knew I didn't owe. He got very surly. I can match surly any day with furious indignation. I knew this was bogus. It became my job for the next three or so weeks to prove it. It was just about the most miserable three weeks of my life. These guys are that vile.
Long story short, after a few more calls and sent documentation from them, which only proved that they were calling about a phone number I had never used, never seen and had no idea existed, I noticed that they were not calling from at&t "proper" (at&t backed my insistence that we were paid in full and were fantastic in sending documentation). At&t has a subsidiary called att or 10 att which provides cell phones and net services to low income households. That does not describe our household, let's put it that way. After much searching, detective work, many calls and hours and hours of frustration, I managed to get the real story (in between a few nasty calls from ic system insisting I owed them this money from "at&t," who said they wished all customers paid their bills as promptly as I did). I was a victim of identity theft. Someone got hold of my social security number, probably during the move, perhaps in a large bag of discarded paperwork, who knows? (buy shredders, folks!) I called att, they were exceptionally helpful and we figured out that I was indeed a victim of identity theft and that no less than three numbers had been taken out in my name with my new address using my social security number.
With all the transactions ic systems does, one would think they could recognize this problem fairly quickly, but all they want is a quick payment, no matter if it's a just charge or not. They apparently actually target the "low hanging fruit," i.e. People with good fico scores, which tells me they bilk those unwilling to argue for untold amounts by getting tough on accounts which are in all likelihood fraudulent. Nice company, it sort of lays waste to their commitment to a code of ethics which they boast about in their logo.
I have filed a police report on the false number, I have contacted the ftc on both the fraud and also to file a complaint against ic system for reprehensible business practices. Turns out thousands of others have also reported them. I understand that bill collection agencies are a necessity. I understand that they do an important job. I have dealt with other bill collection agencies on medical bills, which are too confusing to sort out any other way. Never have I received the kind of vicious, disrespectful, harrassing treatment that received from this company. I've read that they are known for telling people not to complain, instead they should pay their bills! Had I listened to that vicious insult, I would have paid a bill that wasn't mine, that had been acquired in my name illegally, and they had no interest in helping me to determine that this was the case.
In my humble opinion, as the saying goes, they should be shut down or at least carefully reviewed for shady business practices and penalized. I will be following up with the ftc on the final resolution of this "account." from reading others who have complained on this site, i'm not the only one who has suffered this same situation from ic system.
A caveat to anyone and everyone who sees their name on an envelope or telephone id.
All may not be as they say, no matter how much they attempt to intimidate you, check out all their claims thoroughly.
Highly disreputable group. Epic fail.
debt collection
This company tried to charge me more for a debt than was owed.
This all happened April 14, 2017
I called [protected]
I had an old account with COX cable totaling $193. I paid a portion of the account with one debt collector in the amount of $80, January 2017. The account was since removed from my credit report and as such I thought it was settled. A couple of months later I see the same amount pop back on my credit report; this time with another debt collector: I C System. I called to ask for the true balance and they insisted it was $193. Yet, they saw I made a payment of $80. I asked to pay the true remaining balance of $113. They insisted it was $193, and offered to let me settle the debt by paying $135. I said that is not right because I already started paying and it appears they are trying to extort more money from me. The individual I spoke to, a male, advised I send a letter via postal mail to file a dispute. I asked if I could email my dispute. He said no. I thought this was odd given we are in the 21st century. I found it frustrating considering they were adamant about using incorrect information. I asked them why they would think I owed $193 given I already paid $80 in January. They insisted this was information given to them and they did not see a need to question it. Eventually, the customer service rep became very rude and asserted I wouldn't be in the situation if I paid the account earlier. I hung up.
I called Cox Cable, and according to their records I indeed owed $113; and they have on record the $80 payment. I was even able to settle the debt right then and there.
I called I C System again. Apparently, the same individual picked up the phone. I informed him their records were indeed incorrect and they should look into their practice of false account information and reporting. He insisted he is only going off of information from the client (Cox Cable). Yet, their client informed me according to their system my account balance was $113. I asked how could Cox Cable's system say $113 and that same system tell I C System it's $193, spite having received $80 of it. He surmised Cox Cable tagged the $80 back on the account; that perhaps the payment didn't go through. I said that's not possible considering Cox did not report this. I expressed that it felt like they were stealing money from me.
I made the point that they fraudulently reported an old and incorrect balance on my credit report in hopes I would just pay to settle the account; knowing I owed less. They took no steps to question or verify the data received; and thus careless to the impact on my credit. The customer rep was rude and did not care that their system reported incorrect information. The company as a whole has a very outdated way of resolving issues; spite being one of the first computerized collection agencies. In looking into their company, it appears I am not the only one to experience this.
BEWARE!
It's nice to know from reading all the comments here that IC System is continuing to not live up to the code of ethical conduct they brag about on their website. (Eyeroll...) We live in Tucson, and in December of 2017 we moved from one house to another within the city. This involved a change of address (d'uh) and along with it, a change of phone number which was to another company as well. A few weeks ago, in MAY, I got my first nasty call from IC System. The not-a-gentleman told me I owed AT&T $108 on a phone bill from December whatever 2017 through January whatever 2018 dates and since I had ignored two notices that they had sent me at my current address (the new one!), I had to pay immediately or there would be dire consequences. My mama didn't raise no fool. I immediately realized that our AT&T phone account had been closed and paid in full in late December, and we had even received a refund check on our last payment, as we had paid more than what the last month of use involved. I told him that we did not have AT&T service in our new home, where we living beginning on December 20th of 2017, but had gone with another company and had disconnected our AT&T landline service at the old address. OH NO, he said, and rattled off a phone number, thinking he had me. IT WAS THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER! I told him that, I also told him that I pay the bills and know positively that I owed AT&T nothing, nada, zero. He ignored that information as another example of my nefarious duplicity. I told him I would get the records from AT&T and forward them, which would end this farce. He had to note that, and did. After that there were calls. I was becoming increasingly infuriated with this skeevy group, and it was I'm sure something they could hear in my voice. I never once in all my dealings with them used one word of profanity, EVER. I had called AT&T, who informed me that my bill was paid in total, that I had never missed a payment in the four years I had been a customer, and furthermore I had never been billed at any time for anything close to $108, the amount IC System was claiming I owed. They were sending my records by snail mail. I called IC Systems, got another less-than-charming "gentleman" who started arguing that their records showed differently and I asked to speak with his supervisor. That was a young man named Mike, a sensitive soul (that's sarcasm) who objected to my tone and said if I continued to "yell" at him he would be forced to hang up. I assume Mike is still recovering in the emotional trauma room, hugging a teddy bear.
In the meantime, IC System had filed a delinquent report which had dropped my FICO score horrifically. WARNING: These folks play VERY NASTY and I am personally not convinced that their claim of commitment to high ethical standards is anywhere near the truth.
I began to notice things that were amiss in the IC System report, which I had by then received. The account in question was listed as ATT, not AT&T. I went online and discovered that ATT and 10 ATT are names for a division of AT&T which offers basic service, cell phones, net connections to low income households. To put it delicately, that is not an apt description of our family. I called to check on this and was transferred to a supervisor named Jenny, the only person in the entire operation with a functioning IQ. She was actually helpful in that she asked me my phone number, I told her and she gave me the phone number in dispute, which was not a number I had ever seen. She asked me if I had ever been a victim of identity fraud and I said, "No." She offered to send a fraud report kit. A week later I received a second BILL, along with a report on the "account." This confirmed identify fraud, and I called ATT, where it was confirmed that three numbers had been opened using my social security number, one of which was the one IC System was accusing me of not paying. They were very lovely, noted the fraud, and I told them I would use the information they provided in my reports to Experian, Trans-Union and the police.
I jumped into action. Documentation was sent to both Experian and Transunion, I had already filed a report against IC System with the FTC. Both were very helpful and I am going to the police station in Tucson tomorrow to report this all to them. IC Systems last message insisted I still owed $108, unbelievably. Against a phone number I had never heard of nor used.
The ding against my credit and FICO score has been removed, there are no reports on file with Experian, Trans Union nor anyone else, but I remain furious and stunned that they could proceed so aggressively. I'm hard to intimidate, but many seniors are not. BEWARE OF THIS GROUP. THEY OPERATE JUST THIS SIDE OF THE LAW (AT BEST) AND USE DECEITFUL PRACTICES AND VICIOUS HARASSMENT TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.
They will be prominently mentioned in my police report and I will be updating my FTC report with a few additional comments about their business practices. Something tells me that I will hearing from them again in a couple months with regard to those other two bogus phone accounts, because they are not very bright, either.
I pay my bills on time, faithfully. I know what I owe. Don't take their word for ANYTHING. Double check their claims, make sure they are not bogus account numbers. Beware especially of any alleged amounts owed to "ATT."
contracts and client services
I nearly signed a contract with this company. However, once you contact them, the reps hound you to sign (and pay the retainer) and disregard anything you say. Since my business went on break for the holidays, I told the rep I would read and sign the contract when I got back in January. They ignored thisn and hounded me every other day throughout the holidays, even sending me an email on Christmas day. That really put me off and I am still getting emails from them even though I said I changed my mind. Very unprofessional.
I was harassed by this company for a bill opened in my name by someone who stole my social security number (identity fraud), and they never even bothered to notice that my home phone number and the number they were asking me to pay for were entirely different. They did, however, immediately ding my FICO score (which had been very good until they did their dirty work). I now have to wait for that to self-correct which takes time. Forget the claims of their devotion to ethics. This group is skeevy, and apparently not just when dealing with "debtors." You are lucky to be out of it.
imaginary bill!!!
These people ( IC System Inc. / PayPal Inc. ) say that I apparently owe someone quite a bit of money, $16, 978.05 to be exact. Anyways, I've never once used a paypal account in my life. I don't exactly remember when, but I did in fact attempt to open a paypal account a long time ago. But as far as I can remember I never did in fact complete the proce...

I purchase this package for a year yet while the year was in process my son was sent to con solitary confinement and the service wasn't used I called Cons call home to get a refund they claimed they don't do this but the would credited the account and save his minutes owed to us. I refused to pay them my bank had changed my debit number due to fraud charges from another company for free either way I.C Systems is threatening to send this to the credit bureau. I don't them.

I have settled my debt with this company.I paid for a fax and im having a hard time getting a settlement letter showing that I have paid and settled this account for my own records.
ex-husband
I received a phone call today from an anonymous number. The woman who called left a message and a call back number for me. She said it was an "Important business matter." As it turns out, she was a representative for a company called IC Systems.and she was looking for my ex-husband, whom I've been divorced from for 24 years. Are you kidding me? I haven't seen my ex-husband or used his name in 24 years, but IC Systems is calling my cell phone (I've only had my cell phone number for a year) to track someone I knew almost a quarter of a century ago? Where the hell do these people (IC Systems) gather their information? Surely the internet could provide information as recent as the last 5 or 10 years! And yes, I'm pissed!
unprofessional
This company has been calling my cell phone for about a year now, from several different numbers. They often call 3 times in a row. If I answer my phone, it is just silence. If I let it go to voicemail, they leave no message. If I call them back I either can't get through or they demand personal information other than my name and phone number to "confirm" my account before telling me what they are calling for. They refuse to mail anything to my p.o. box about my "account" with them. SOOOOOOO how am I suppose to pay a "debt" if I can't even find out what or whom they are calling for? I doubt the debt is even mine. Unprofessional, ridiculous ### company. I mean, most debt collection is somewhat harassing, that is their job, but this company is definitely crossing some lines that I'm sure they are not operating with fair debt collection laws at this point. Whatever gets people to pay, I guess!
rude
I.C. Systems is one of the worst collection agencies. They don't understand the laws and use rude behavior to collect on their debts. They are archaic as I could not send an email or fax disputing the charges they claim I owe, but instead I have to send "snail" mail. I have already sent the letter but they can't validate that they have received the letter because another department handles that. They only have one option to send correspondence and they don't even know if that is working. I am being proactive in dealing with this dispute and contacted them as soon as I received the letter from them. Even though I contacted them and sent a letter, they have continued their harrasing, rude phone calls. The Texas Debt Collections Act prohibits collection agencies from "use the telephone to harass debtors by calling anonymously or making repeated or continuous calls". This company has continued to make repeated phone calls even though I have told them that I was sending a written response. They don't understand the law and they don't understand the timelines afforded under the law for consumers to validate "real" collection activities against them. If this doesn't stop, I will be forced to hire an attorney to sue them for damages. If they had only done their activities according to the law, I would have paid any outstanding amount that I actually owe to them or any other creditor.

harrassing me at work
IC Systems has been harassing me at work. They call several times a day. I informed them that the debt they were trying to collect was not mine, and could not be mine as I've never had AT&T service. I informed them that this was my work number and not to call me any more. 20 minutes later I got another call from them, I told them they had called me in violation of the do not call notification I had informed them about last week and again this morning. The caller continued her conversation and told me I had until the following afternoon to pay the bill. Why do these companies get away with these tactics? Because we as consumers and taxpayers have no voice in our government any more. The government is too busy helping out on foreign soil to bother with the US citizens that are supporting them.

unethical charger debt
I lived in a rented house and used RCN Internet Service in chicago ... I moved to other city in January 2011, before moving I called RCN and told them to transfer thier service to my new location, RCN declined as they do not have services in that area. I therefore told them to discontinue my services on Dec 17, 2010 as my lease also expired and in hurry I left USA lot of my stuff I left over in the appartment. I came back in May 2011 and got a Bill from RCN about the monthly charges of April 2011. I called them and asked about that, I told them about thier modem leftover there which I can pay. RCN Customer service refused to accept that I called them in Dec. 2011 about the discontinuation. I searched my Telephone record and got the call details and asked about that they refused to accept my documentry proff and now a debt collector I.C. System Inc. addressing 444 Highway96 East, P.O. Box 64437, St. Paul MN [protected] harassing for those charges which I never have used..
