Behavior of Store Manager Misty Martin
I shopped store # 445 Ellenwood, Ga. on 6/28/23 at 4:28 PM, and purchased a total of $228.30, including one pack of cigarettes. After putting the items away later, I realized I did not have the cigarettes. I called the store the next morning and spoke to the Manager, Misty Martin. She took my name, number, and the time on the receipt, and said she couldn't...

Ingles Market in Ellijay Georgia is a reason for concern. There deli store manager Ben Has had many outburst and has made employees feel worthless countless times. There’s even been uses of foul language from this man. Multiple times he has been reported to store management and they have never resolved his outlandish behavior. Many people are even scared...

Well I was taught to use capital letters in school when penning a note or letter. One of our (at least 20 of us, from my one of my church groups) found out today Saturday June 24,2023 that our favorite Cashier was Fired from her position. The shock and disbelief was overwhelming! This cashier is the most honest, friendly, pleasant, always has a smile on her face, uplifting, caring, hard working person we have ever met! She doesn't gossip like the others that work there. We have joked with her always being there asking if she needed a pillow and blanket to take a nap. We know she has covered shifts for others, we know she has anxiety, and still she is always nice. My problem is to fire her over an onset of an anxiety attack and needing a minute is wrong! There was no bag boy helping her yesterday, customers lined up into health and beauty and she still had a smile, she asked a Kendall 3or4 times for help, she ignores Max. Demand she gets heard and brought back, please do the right thing. Maggie St. John
Desired outcome: Rehire the cashier!!!!!!!
Customer service
I was grocery shopping at the Ingles at 8650 Asheville Highway, Boiling Springs, SC. I am a registered nurse at a local hospital and just had gotten off from work. As I was shopping in the frozen section of the store, I saw a yellow plastic caution sign on the floor. I procédéd to walk on the one side of the aisle where the sign wasn’t blocking. The sign wasn’t blocking the entire aisle. An Ingles employee( a slender 50ish, Caucasian male with dark stringy hair and glasses) Stated directly to me rudely « Mam, be careful, there is a reason that sign has been up. As if I couldn’t read. I bet if I was a male he won’t have spoken to me like that.
Desired outcome: The employee was extremely rude and talked down to me ( it was very degrading). He needs to be reprimanded for his rude behavior and lack of customer service
Co manager
Every time me and my son comes In the co manager Shawn Milstead follows us around the entire store like my son is going to do something he shouldn't I don't appreciate what he does to us plus the last time I went through his line I was behind another guy finishing checking out when Shawn turned his light off at the register I said I'm sorry and he hatefuly...

Store 780 Hendersonville Rd
This store shuts their lottery machine down at 9 PM sometimes 10 PM and you never know when they are or not and it’s very inconvenient for me and I’m sure it’s inconvenient for other customers. When I called to check on this and check the times, the clerk that helped me didn’t even know the answer to my question had to talk to someone else, and then was very rude to me. I was trying to talk to them about it and I said OK is that all you need and hung up on me? It’s very very unprofessional.
Staff laying
On Monday 4/3/23 my son and some of his friends was in the store getting a few this for me and some snacks. When a manager come up to them and said they was being suspicious and walking near the beer cooler to much and they looked like the were going to steal beer. Granted they are teenagers and was probably acting out. She chose to trespass them instead of just kicking them out. I want proof of what she is saying is true if not I think my son and his friends need apology. When in fact my son goes to the store for me a lot due to me having problems walking and this stor is closest to us.
Desired outcome: Proof of said act and a apology if it is not true
Child endangerment
I went to the ingles by my house on March 4th the adress is 220 N Highland Lake Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731. When I went to the meat department there was a very young child between the age of 4 and 7 that I watched go inside the meet department where they cut the meat. I left and sent my husband back to the store to pick up some things i forgot and he proceeded to inform me that this child was still there proximatly 45 minutes later. I am extremely concerned that no manager or anyone seemed to care about this childs safety. I really hope this child is okay. That is no okay to have a child back where they are cutting meats and this child could have got really hurt if he did not. I thought you had to be 16 to even be back there and yet they just let this poor child be there.
Desired outcome: The person who had this child in that meat department needs to be held accountable. That is outrageous.
Easter baskets with beer really???
Why in the world is beer in Easter baskets in Shelby, N.C. 28150. on south post rd. I am notifying all I no to refrain from gong there. This is sinful, disguting. Do you let kids drink beer ? I hope not . If this is not corrected I have 5,000 friends and we we will get the word out. Do not shop ingles. Barbara Ann Carroll this happened on March 3rd at 11:05 what a shame to go to a grocery store and find more beer than groceries. Cashiers don't ask for ID either I had a man in front of me and no ID was asked for he did not look a day over 17 if that.
Desired outcome: Remove beer from Easter bastes or loose cutomers. Barbara Carroll P.O. Box 547 Earl, N.C. 28038 let me know when you have done this. Add a $50:00 gift certificate please in good faith. Then I may shop again at your store.
Managers being unprofessional
My 16 year old daughter works at ingles in Etowah NC. The main manager Marilyn and assistant manager Michelle at this store are already under investigation because of unfair treatment of employees and my daughter had to leave early today due to pain in her low abdomen and burning when going to the bathroom she is on her way to the Dr now and when her father picked her up as they were leaving he overheard Michelle talking badly about my 16 year old daughter calling her lazy and acting as if she was making it up as an excuse to leave. This is not the first time she has done so and it is highly unprofessional . I have personally witnessed her attitude and unprofessional demeanor several times even before my daughter started working there she often displays the same attitude and rudeness to the customers as she does the employees and as a parent i am extremely fed up with it! Because she is a manager does not give her the right to treat people badly if anything it’s an abuse of her position and I expect something to be done about it! I am to the point of going in there myself and handling her attitude if something isn’t done soon! My 19 year old sister in law also works there and her mother was recently In the ICU on a ventilator nearly almost didn’t make it and when she called out the same manager was extremely rude to her and hateful and had the nerve to tell her “ thanks for leaving us with only two cashiers!” This is complete and utter [censored] exscuse my French but if Ingles allows managers to treat their employees and customers rudely and unprofessionally they are going to suffer on their reputation and business because of it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions [protected]
Desired outcome: Serious consequences or termination of said manager
Kid in Deli
A deli employee at the Laurel Park, NC location brings their child (3-4 years old) to work on the weekends. Let's think about how dangerous this is both to the kid and employees who work with knives, hot oil, slicers, slippery floors. Yesterday, the kid was SCREAMING and banging on pots and bowls. Absolutely unacceptable. I'm sorry this parent doesn't have weekend childcare, but this is not the problem of the other employees.
Read full review of Ingles MarketsHit on the shin by abrupt break on cart
On February 2, I visited my local Ingles store and proceeded to dispose off my recycling waste. I had zero produce in my cart. As I passed the door to reach the recycle bins the cart break abruptly stopped the cart and hit my shin.I almost buckled down with the impact. No help, apology came forth. I found, that other unsuspecting customers were similarly hit. The swelling on my shin will take a while to go away.
I reported the incident to the store manager but he was adamant about store policy on carts going past the register.
He did not offer to file any incident report. I have shopped there for 20 plus years. This was the final straw. I love produce and grocery shopping and will hence forth avoid this company who care nothing for my shopping experience and long standing loyalty.
The store is Spartanburg Ingles on W.O.Ezel blvd. Zip 29301.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and apology as a loyal, law abiding citizen and Ingles customer. No customer deserves to be physically hurt with or without reason.
My last curbside order
I selected my items and scheduled a time as normal. I work in Georgia and like to pick up my order on my way home since I drive by the store on Highway 24 in Anderson, SC. I saw a text from the store and since I was driving I called them because I couldn't text while driving. There were 2 or 3 items they were substituting but since I didn't get a hold of them the person on the phone told me I couldn't get the items. I asked 3 times and he said no I can't get the items. Then I told them to cancel my order which they did but told me they couldn't give me a refund unless I came into the store. Isn't that funny that they can charge your card without you but can't give credit unless you show up in person? That defeats the purpose of curbside. I have been using curbside ever since Ingles started it and have never been treated like that. I told them Publix would be more than happy to take my money and I am done with Ingles.
Desired outcome: To get my refund and never be treated like that again.
Store brand items
11/21/2022
I purchased the Laura Lynn brand of potatoes chips for $3.68 for my daughter's birthday party and when I opened the bag it was only a 1/4 full. I understand you may need to cut cost but us consumers have to cut costs too. To pay extra for an item and then you're getting less than. Half of what you pay for is VERY FRUSTRATING! Dare to be different Ingles, please! I know it's only chips but it's the principle of it.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response.
Western Union Money Order
I purchased a money order to pay a bill. The company has close so I don't have to use the money order. I tried to get the Ingles {Swannanoa} I bought it from to cash and they refused. I was told to go through Western Union. I went to their website and read that they charge $15 to handle cashing the money order. I should have been told this before I bought it. Needless to say that I will never buy a money order from Western Union or Ingles, I am a customer that normally comes to this location5 or 6 days a week. Since I am finding out Ingles won't stand behind there product that I should find a better company.
Desired outcome: Cash my money order!!!!
They have never cashed money orders. Most retailers don’t cash them. You can easily deposit it in your bank account, though. Problem solved.
Health Insurance
My wife has this Cigna Insurance as she signed up for it and they are taking 70.00 a week out of her pay which ads up to $280 a month and there is a $800 deductible for this too. Smells like the company is profiting off the backs of their employees. When I worked for the Government the U.S. Gov payed half and we paid the other half. Seems like Corporate GREED.
Employees talking garbage about Management
Screen shots attached for proof. This employee gets on FB daily and talks bad about her employer as well as her store Manager, calling them out by name. This is an embarrassment to the rest of the associates seeing this trash daily. When I notified Management about the issue I was told that she has to be replaced before she is let go. This is a result to being understaffed. Ungrateful associates are never held accountable for actions, while others are left to suffer due to their incompetence.
Desired outcome: The associate needs to be held accountable for trash talking the company as well as her Boss.
i know the feeling, same at store 82
Checkout Services, Customer Service Employee and Assistant Manager
My fiancé and I own homes and are longtime customers of your stores in both Hiawassee, GA, and Acworth, Georgia. We love the Acworth store where we are treated with friendly and respectful employees. We spend thousands of dollars a year at your locations! Your Hiawassee store consistently fails in both areas. We have encountered many instances of very poor...
