grocery delivery from Publix in Orlando Fl. on Colonial Springs Rd. on JUne 12, 2022.
I did not receive any printable account of what I spent and what tip could be offered to the deliverer. No information was provided. I therefore have no record of the transaction on June 12, 2022. I have no list of what I ordered or any printed receipt to see what I was charged.
Desired outcome: Provision of a written receipt.
I Wish I Could Give ZERO Stars!!
I placed a Publix order for delivery through Instacart. However, the person responsible for the delivery dropped off my order at the wrong address even though I had the name of my hotel in the delivery instructions.
Instacart acknowledged that my order was delivered to the incorrect address and gave me the option to place the order again. I took this option and they said that it would take two hours to deliver my groceries. I reminded them that I paid a $2.00 fee for priority delivery so they decided to refund the $2.00.
After waiting two hours, Instacart decided to cancel the order and charged me a $15.00 cancellation fee! Only after spending almost an hour fighting this charge, they decided to reverse the cancellation fee!
PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Subscription for instacart
I did not autorized my payment for instacart Subscription for $99. I used it for a publix shopping when I was sick but didn't subscribe. The date of the subscription was on 06/05/2022. Please refund that amount of money to my bank account. It was a approved through my Apple Pay but I never approved it. It was taken from my bank account at Wells Fargo Bank.

Shopper ratings and benefits
I personally loved shopping for instacart before and really enjoyed the benefits given and did it as my summer job as a college student, however they have recently updated the app and I am extremely disappointed. Now, I barely get access to batches because my ratings were below 4.7 for simple things customers did not like, such as a damaged item for reasons that were out of my control. I am barely making enough to pay for gas. They also just sent me an email saying they were going to stop with fuel assistance, which, while the assistance they provided was very minimal, was still necessary especially for long distance orders. I spent two whole days trying to speak to instacart care people trying to get my issue resolved and they all said they were going to help me remove unfair ratings and the problem would be resolved within hours, and every single time they said this notbing happened. It has now been a week and a half. This was such an amazing job for people like college students and even those who needed a little extra money on the side, but with these updates it’s hard to say if it is even worth it or if I should just get another job.
Desired outcome: i want instacart to at the very least listen to my requests and fix what i am having problems with, if not get rid of this terrible update and do not stop providing fuel assistance.
Unauthorized charge on debit card
On May 3rd, 2022 my husband and I noticed a charge on our account for $235.00. The problem is we do not have an instacart account and have never used their service. We also noticed Instacart credited the money back to our account right after. I’ve called twice to instacart to try and find out how they got our debit card and each time the representative hung up. The question is what are they hiding and why are they doing this? We ended up cancelling our card and getting a new one just to be safe. These companies must be held accountable and made to have checks and balances so this does not happen. Again how in the world did they get our card number if we don’t have an account with them? Strange!

Order Pickup
Instacart never started or completed my pickup order. I sent in my order to be completed May 29 2022 and was supposed to pick up at 2pm. I never got any updates about it until they apologized that it was being rescheduled to the next day due to high demands? The next day the pickup time arrived and I tried contacting customer service because I still hadn’t received any updates it just stayed as being confirmed not being picked up by a shopper. I decided to reschedule for the next pickup time and that came and went and nothing so I had to cancel to get a refund. This is unacceptable. I understand the short staffing issue but they should’ve made my order the first order completed the next day has this been the case. I will never be using them again. It was nice during the pandemic for a way to not have to deal with the crowds of people trying to stock up on things and to not get sick by going out to begin with but I guess I’ll be dealing with the crowds from now on. Shame on you Instacart.
Cancelled order
I placed a order & it was cancelled. I clearly said to ring my doorbell & the rep didnt. Then I go downstairs & she was really rude with an attitude on her cell phone having a personal call. Rep was very rude. I will not ever to do business with instacart or will nevere refer anyone. Ill still with amazon. They're fess are way less anyway. I ill be filing a complaint with the bbb & my attorney general's office
Delivery Drivers for Instcart
Why hire these driver's when they don't even won' t to deliver to the customer's.
Especially when it's at a Continuing Care Retirement Community with Independent Living Residents living in apartments. All they want to do is argue about having to deliver the goods to the Receptionist and expecting the Receptionist to go and deliver their items for FREE.
Yep.. not going to happen. And then when the customer does not get the items they paid for guess what they call Customer Service to complain.
If this is the case and how you expect your driver's to be then DON"T DELIEVER PERIOD TO CCRC!
Desired outcome: Block delivering to CCRC if the driver's you pay for do not want to do their JOB!
Grocery Delivery
On May 3, 2022, I placed an order for two items from Instacart to be purchased and delivered from the nearby Walmart. Instacart had provided me with a coupon that would reduce the total cost of the order if my purchased was $45 or over - both items allowed me to meet that requirement in order to apply the coupon. Unfortunately, the Instacart shopper only checked out one item and provided zero communication as to why the second item was not included in the purchase. As a result, I ended up paying an exorbitant amount of one single item since the error of the shopper resulted in the coupon being removed from my order total. I contacted Instacart on May 3, May 4, and May 9 to ask for a resolution and provided proof showing that I had indeed asked for both, IN STOCK, items in my order and I was wholly ignored. The terrible customer service is one thing but failing to recognize a legitimate complaint is what has led me to filing this complaint. Their unethical practices need to have some form of accountability and as such, I'm demanding a refund for the trouble they've caused me.

Hi my name is Rosa Maria Platero, my phone number is [protected], I live in Hemet California, I worked for Instacart during the 2020 and 2021 pandemic, and now after I had face surgery to remove some teeth that were affecting my health I was asked by Instacart to provide a picture of my for secure verification and I did take the picture and then later that day my account was deactivated, for no reason I have been sending emails and also I told them I had paperwork from my surgery and they denied by any help nor have I had anyone calls me it has been 3 days and I have not heard from the back,
unauthorized express charge of 109.00
I am disabled and have an extremely tight budget, and when checking my bank account on march 19th I saw a charge from Instacart (reading as re-occurring) for ~109.00. Which I did NOT authorize.
This was charged to me on the 17th, and I would have not known about it unless I'd checked my account.
I use the service on occasion due to mobility issues, and the last date I had used it was on the 3rd without signing up for annual express, which I have never been a member of as I only use the service on rare occasions. Conveniently after this charge happened, I suddenly had 0 history of even my rare single month subs, only the sub on the 17th showed...
I called customer service, was given 0 apologies (nor compensation) while I panicked about having almost nothing in my account, and instead they kept telling me "you signed up". Which was untrue, and when I verbally explained how that wasn't possible they continued to deny any shady doings. While they did eventually say they'd refund me, I am now waiting up to 10 days for the funds that I (especially as low income) really need.
Desired outcome: An apology and for them to admit they messed up rather then continually trying to put the blame on me, and trying to convince me to stay with them after that. I had to ASK multiple times to get a refund as they danced around the subject.

I am disabled and was ecstatic to hear about instacart, So I signed up and paid $99 for a year of free deliveries.
Well after 3 orders my account was deactivated! I have no idea why and there is not a number to call and ask! I've searched the web for anything that I could use to contact them to no avail. I really need to get this straightened out!

On April 29, 2022 I placed an order through Instacart in from The Fresh Market in Clearwater, Florida, when my order was delivered, there were 3 errors.
I ordered 2 cartons of organic strawberries $11.99
2 non organic cartons of strawberries were delivered $9.99
I ordered Organic Girl Spring mix $4.29
Organic Girl Spring Mix & Baby Spinach was delivered $4.29
I ordered 1 sprig of organic Cilantro $1.49
No cilantro was delivered
Total Charge $15.68 of mistaken items delivered.
My total bill was for $94.19
I called Instacart let them know of the errors, they refused to give me either a refund nor a credit to the Instagram account, I appealed it, they responded, they reviewed my account and their decision was final, no refund, no credit.
I feel this is not good business, time and time again, the shoppers make mistakes, I was never advised by their shopper of the substitutions.
This is unacceptable and senior abuse on the part of Instagram.
if you really want to have a good experience be ready to answer your chat messages, how would u like to shop for people and their items are out of stock, so u know there are replacements exactly the same so you get them for the customer but they decide to give a bad rate cus u didnt respond, customers dont respond but sure grab groceries fast and dont tip or give a dollar, insulting, shoppers do the drive to store look for al ur ites bag them bring up three floor walkups etc , think about that we dont make much
Unauthorized charge

$99.00 on April 13th at 10:23pm for the express delivery or no delivery charge. Now when I use Instacart I don't sign up for the yearly payment I pay as I go or used the compliment charge. Now someone has hacked My account and trying to do charges for shopping y'all continue to charge my card which is closed because of all the charges you try to get. Now I've made a formal complaint on phone and via text. I fill a form but you have not returned my money. I want my money back I am not going to use your service anymore y'all have rip me off once before for 160.00 a delivery that I never got but you still never contacted me or refunded me. Between you and my bank your worst than the hacker is. Thieves in my eyes. You have become the worst delivery company after COVID. I just want my 99. Red Seedless Grapes
The grapes I received were black, full of seeds which I dislike. So the Red seedless grapes were not available at least replace them grapes without seeds. Thank you.
Shoppers making mistakes on every order!
Shoppers are making AT LEAST one mistake every time I order. Mistakes like: 1. Buying the wrong size of something. E.g. buying a pint of milk instead of a 1/2 gallon.
2. Incorrectly substituting an out of stock item.
3. Ignoring comments placed on an item (e.g. I asked for half of the bananas I ordered to be ready to eat, while the other half to be more green)
4. Ignoring messages made to them while they are still shopping. (When I see a shopper has made a mistake during the shopping process I've messaged them to try to correct it before they check out.)
It's SO frustrating.

Non-payment for services rendered
While completing a high pay shopping, my ap froze. I cashed out with the instacart card, and delivered the items. Instacart claims that I canceled the batch and that they could not fix the issue with the missing pay. I repeatedly asked to speak with someone directly and my request was refused stating they do not have any phone access. They will only communicate through their ap Using broken English, boiler plated text. Their actiodns are illegal, and dishonest.

Last night around 10:00pm I was able to find items that after your update I can no longer find. Your search option is absolutely the worst I have ever used. When searching for items it never pulls up any items related to the search. I spent an hour this morning trying to put an order together of 11 items because I couldn’t find what I needed. That update messed everything up. I can’t spend that much time on ordering. Absolutely terrible

3/18/22 I placed an order thru the Kroger app. When I saw my receipt,I realized I was charged for 71peppers instead of 1. I was also charged for items I did not order or receive. My card was charged 2 separate transactions, amounting to $15 more than my receipt said I was charged. Looks like she listed her items as substitutes then ran my card 2x.
