I call where I did my taxes and the women was beyond. She engaged in a argument because of a survey I took. Then said one of her representatives wasn't allowed to give out information concerning my old returns. This lady was I guess owner of the store. Beyond rude. She insisted to over talk me instead of trying to understand. Told me stop calling the establishment everyday in which I wasn't.

This past year 2017 my husband and I needed a quick refund to pay bills. So, we went to Jackson Hewitt or quick refund. Worst. Mistake. Ever! We still haven't gotten our taxes back, and all we need to do is file an injured spouse form. I have spent three days calling their customer service to be ignored suddenly disconnected or transferred to the area that can't fix my problem. Do not go here if you really want your money back.

On march 3rd 2017, myself (Crystal harris) and my husband (Tony harris) went in to have are taxes completed the jackson hewitt location inside the address
8924 quil ceda blvd, marysville, wa 98271 a man help us complete our taxes on that day he was very helpful and sufficient and completing our tax in a timely fashion. The following day when I went to use $100 gift card which was the promotion given by jackson hewitt with having your taxes done you could a hundred dollar walmart e-gift card when I went to use it at walmart the following day because receiving balance zero I have the manager help me and several people and mind you I went to several different locations to try each time receiving a zero balance indicator at this time I contacted my local branch manager his name is tim since that day I have been getting the runaround he sent it to my email he said again a brand new card and yet I have never received one every time I contact him he says he'll get back to me as soon as you can or he'll help me when he can or he doesn't know what's wrong he'll try and figure it out or someone's looking at it mind you we got our taxes done on the 3rd triton iv to use the card and still to this day have not received my hundred dollar gift card i've had several people look at this have called customer service and no one seems to be able to give me a new gift card even though they say they're going to they never do. Finally when I got a hold of another associate and mention to him that I did not want to work with him because he was basically sending me to the ringer she contacted me by email and said and I will copy and paste now from email what he said

Find you i've gotten several of these messages from him or he will told me he will get it sold today I have run all around trying to pick up your friend things they told me it would be at my local office I went there before they closed picked up a printed out the receipt supposably and went shopping and got done went to go pay again zero balance they sent me the same gift card as with horror and printed the same one out for me leading me to believe it was now this is completely ridiculous I have copies of all my contacts i've had with this district manager tim and i'm very unsatisfied if it was I will try and take money for me for sure they would be suing me trying to get the money for the services that they have done yet even though I was promised and signed for an e-gift card I have not received it and have been treated poorly as if I did something wrong my very email from him was on the 18th where he stated and again I will copy from email his exact words he stated the following (I am trying to find out what happened. I will let you know when I get some updates. )

Hi my name is ryan santos. I want you to know that i am very unhappy with the service i been getting from jackson hewwit in suisun city walmart. To start off...My income tax somehow got filed by nick and sent to the irs without my w2, and without my signature & consent causing a major delay with my tax return. Maria @ suisun knew this was going to be no charge because i even heard her boss on the phone telling her that my tax filing is for free. Instead a fee of $318 was taken from my return. This was suppose to be free! Please send me my $318 asap because its not right! I shouldnt have to go through this. Its bad enough jh made an error last year with my return. Its error after error! I even personally spoke to another supervisor from the jh call center and she guaranteed me that they will fix the mistake and do my tax for free at no charge! I was suppose to get $2187 for my return but an offset of $1182 (Which im aware of) was deducted. I only recieved $687 because of jh preparation filing fees. Please send my $318 asap to: 2707 toland dr. Fairfield ca 94534 or face legal actions. If it makes it faster for me to pick it up, i dont have a problem with picking it up.
Fyi- ryan reese (District manager) told me i would recieve the check within 10 days. I left several messages for him and he does not respond back. 13 business days past now and i still havent recieved the check for $318 that should of never got taken out of my tax refund because jh was suppose to fix error and file my tax for free. I have tried calling jh local office in suisun city ca numberous times and spoke to nick, maria, and ryan and no help at all. I need my money. Jh needs to pay me my money asap. If i dont recieve my money by 03/20/17, i will seek legal actions.

2016 income tax filed incorrectly
My name is Guadalupe Reyna, I filed my Taxes with Jackson Hewitt like every year, this year taxes have been nothing but trouble with Jackson Hewitt, they filed both of my state taxes from Nebraska and Kansas incorrectly, they offered different options as a gift which the one I chose was not given to me, keep calling them leaving messages for them because I have not received my state taxes for Nebraska and the return was intercepted by their bank since March 13, they have not sent it to my bank.. No one has returned my call to let me know, when will I recieve my taxes, I paid $586, the tax proffesional that prepared my taxes kept making mistake after mistake and all they were able to do is send me the amendment and also send me a $25 gift card for my troubles but have not deposited my money into my bank account. I was told that a Manager would call me back and has not returned my call back to let me know where is my money. I cannot believe I put my trust in these people, but these people should be closed down, because they have alot of bad reviews and basically they are stealing from people that have worked hard for their money and puts a big bind on me as I am a single head of household parent, and I depend on any little money I can get.

I brought my taxes on a Monday and there were two girls (JH employees) talking badly about their boss in front of me (that should have been my first sign). One lady told me how mean her boss was while she collected all of my tax information. I went back the next day to find that this girl had either quit or was fired. Another woman said that she completed my taxes and they were easy and fun. She had another customer at the time so I said I would be back the next day. Thursday comes around and they are closed. Okay that's fine. Friday I was asked to walk around for 10 minutes while she was with someone else. I ended up staying for an hour and she still wasn't ready to see me. Saturday comes around and I go back again. My taxes were messed up and the boss was trying to fix them. He is basically teaching her what she did wrong in front of me. He ends up telling me I owe money. I told him that's impossible and I will come back on Monday and if it is not fixed I would go somewhere else. Today I went back up to Walmart and the lady was rude and said I needed to start making an appointment and that her boss was correct and that I owed money. I told her to give me my taxes back. I took my taxes to my moms accountant who charged me 65 dollars (took him one hour) and I now have a 1, 000 dollar refund. I am beyond disgusted.

They charged me 453$ to do my taxes ! The guy who did them was a complete ### who had no idea what he was doing! He didnt want to tell me the price in advance and when he finished he said oh well it cost that much because you are a first time customer and i had to create your profile ?!? Are u kididng me ? It took him one hour on a Saturday afternoon with no one else in the office to do a tax return ! Horrible customer service and the fees are crazy high ! Why wouldnt you have a price guide or something !

I filed my income tax return on [protected] at the Jackson-Hewitt tax hewitt office located at 1541 Westchester Avenue in the Bronx. The prepare's name was Surinder Kaur. I have two complaints regarding this individual. One:She put my checking account number in incorrectly. She claimed the refund would kick back and it could be ammended and resubmitted. I talked to the NYS department of taxation and finance and was told in that situation a paper check is mailed if the direct deposit checking account number is incorrect. Ergo she lied or gave me incorrect information. Two:Every year I submit copies of letters and canceled checks to verify my donations to charity. She refused to submit them claiming they were unnecessary, and they would not make a difference towards my refund. I paid this person $454.00 I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, when I spend my meager funds, I expect courtesy, professionalism, respect and honesty. I received none of this from tax preparer Surinder Kaur.

I am so angry and totally disappointed with the lady who done our taxes this year and years before at Jackson Hewitt. First thing is they charged us $560 last year and $517 this year and the Jackson Hewitt Lady said yippee it went down. I said that is no saving. I asked her does she make 500 and something off every person taxes she does because I could have went to a CPA accounting firm and I'm quiet sure they would have charged me less money and I would have received a much more precise and better quality of service on my taxes as well. She was not very knowledgeable on the updated tax guidelines. We have experience a disaster in 2016 and the Federal & State government stated that we are able to amend our 2015 tax return and recoup some of our casualties losses, but her response was you are zero out from last year so it does not benefit you all to try and recoup any funds. I told her I'm in totally disagreement with her response and believe she just doesn't know how to complete this portion of our tax return and think we are don't know any better and will believe her lame excuses. Please any one looking for a tax prep company DO NOT GO TO JACKSON HEWITT, OR HR BLOCK. They are total ripped offs and scam artists.

I paid almost 600 to have my taxes done which is a rip off in itself then they haven't even filed my state of Mississippi return I've called the office four different times and thy keep telling me to keep checking the lady that did mine kept my w2 I could have mailed it off myself so then I called the customer service and the lady there told me she wasn't a tax spec to call the office I used...I usually do my taxes ever year for like 29.95 I should have this time it's been nothing but a waste of time and money

My daughter, a single mother, filed her taxes with JH in Morristown, Tn . She was charged $598.00 to file a simple tax return. ($20.00 preparation and $578.00 to file a federal return). Her preparer was named Elizabeth Mills. After filing the forms, my daughter was given a copy of the return and it didn't have her correct address on it even thought her id and other information contained the correct information. Her refund was of course delayed. She was also charged a 17.00 transmittal fee (paid to JH) and $32.95 "assisted refund fee" . The FAQ paper she received stated there were no fees or interest for the preliminary amount she would receive yet charged her for it. There must be some way to recover her charges. Also, she still hasn't received her full refund because of the incorrectly filed tax form with the wrong address. She filed with JH in a previous year was charged a flat rate of $60.00 and had no problem receiving it in a timely manner. Are JH franchises allowed to charge whatever they feel like? Does corporate not realize or care what the consumers are being charged? someone should look into it.

Hello, My husband and I went to Jackson Hewitt on Jan 31st, 2017 to file our return. the tax preparer was very ill equiped in knowledge of all preparation. Our return was rejected the first time because he did not enter our daughters information correctly and never included our 1095 A within our return. They charged us $669.95 for preparation, this is ridiculous and now we have to submit 1095 A / 8962 to the IRS. Very unprofessional service and tax prep employees are ridiculous with lack of knowledge leaving tax payers twirling their thumbs. NEVER AGAIN, FEE'S ARE RIDICULOUS AND EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

My husband and I went to the location at 4512 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33021. We was well greeted by the other two employees except for the lady with the pined up dreads all the way at the left desk facing door. I know that she had an attitude from the moment we walked in she told the guy at the desk in front of her he didn't have to tell s to sign in because we was the only ones waiting. The young lady to her left was with a customer. A lady came from the back and offered us something to drink. Everyone in this office was polite and respectful except for that one lady. Just so happened she end up helping us, well a big disappointment. She told us we couldn't file because my husband didn't have proof of heath insurance. She told him he must be silly for coming to her office without it. She is very rude and unprofessional she sucked her teeth at us like we was her kids. She told my husband he's unbelievable in others words a he lying to her. After spending an hour on the phone to get the proof she turned us away.
Just so happen H&R block was up the street. They gave us no problem at all. We got our returned completed and a discount after sharing our Jackson Hewitt rude experience. They even told us we didn't need right away if its government insurance. The IRS will ask for it if needed and its our choice to pay a penalty.
I will not recommend anyone to go see this lady anyone in that office but her. Jackson Hewitt needs to train their employees to do treat the customer with respect. They need to do their job as a tax preparer and not the job of the IRS. Bad enough they over charge you to do the tax with them. I would start a blog about this experience.

I went on January 17 2017 to have my taxes done in rogersville tn by a girl named Haley. Come to find out she didn't scan or submit my insurance forms causing me to have to redo. Now I am still waiting for them to process my taxes. Keep in mind I didn't have child tax credit or earned income. I am still waiting and I was charged 193 dollars to do my taxes. I want to be reimbursed.

Today I called 2 different times and my husband called once today and once yesterday to see if our fees would be taken out of our State or our Frederal. When my husband called yesterday and today from Jackson Hewitt they said that they would take out some of the fee from our state, when I called they told me the first time that nothing was going to be taken out of our state tomorrow. I found a website provided by Jackson Hewitt of all the fees that they took out, they tookmy entire state refund! I don't know when we're getting our federal so it makes it kind of hard. The most messed up part about all this is that, when I checked the website for the state refund it said that it would be deposited on 2/17/2017 when I checked Jackoson Hewitts website rhat2 they gave me to check the fees it said my state was deposited on 2/15/2017 which was yesterday, my husband called yesterday and they never even bothered to tell him that our entire state was gone, he called and I called earlier today and nothing was mentioned until I looked up the fee site and called back at 6 pm to get more info.

I'm a single mom with income of $8, 000. They charged $350 to file the exact same return I free filed the previous 3 years. I had to wait one hour to find out if I would get a Refund Advance Loan that the website said I prequalification for. So it cost $350 for a $750 loan of less than one month. It should be illegal to charge that kind of rate, worse than a payday advance loan.

Someone lost my tax refund! The IRS from my state claimed they deposited mystate refund into my account! American express serve has no record of it! I have called Jackson Hewitt costumer service everyday for the past week. I have gone into the office in Cadillac michigan every day this week! No one can tell me where my money is! I will never return to this company. I have used H&R Block for the past 20 years and now I know why this has never happend to me EVER! I am worried they will also lose my federal return! I will be reporting to the BBB and hiring a lawyer! Also will be requesting my federal to go into a different account!
I would recommend obtaining a copy of your taxes to make your routing and account number was correct.

I called for an appointment at 4:30PM CST on 2/8/2017, but at 4:55PM CST no could help me. The lady, at this location, said there would be someone there in a minute, but she was not telling the the truth. It is easy to make an appointment but the key is keeping the appointment, which Jackson Hewitt did not. Now, I will take my business to another group.
express refund advance and fees
I filed my taxes February 3rd 2017 here in peoria il on sterling ave location and my return is $7, 400 and I paid over $400.00 in fees just to get advancement and im supossely only approved for $1, 000 advancement my email just stated come to find out its not an express advance due to it takes days to receive not to mention I never received my $50.00 for switching filing company's they are false advertising and lien on terms and conditions not to mention they are not honoring bonuses they say they are I will be taking further action with corporate and IRS and BBB and if my problem isn't handled I will be filing class action lawsuit with a lawyer

My name is Joelle beam I scheduled an appointment a week ago to have my taxes filed for February 2nd 2017 and my appointment was at 2 pm at Jackson Hewitt on 295 Tyler road south red wing MN 55066. I showed up on time and when I arrived there was a couple already in the process of getting their taxes filed I ended up waiting an hour past my appointment time. So I decided to just ask to get my 2015 tax return printed off and ended up going to H&R Block to get my taxes filed I will no longer be getting my taxes filed with Jackson Hewitt. Plus the tax professional doing the tax filing was not very professional at all I am very dissatisfied with my experience. I have been getting my taxes filed with Jackson Hewitt for the last 2 years and never had a problem but after this experience! I will be doing my taxes at H&R Block from now on. I do not appreciate having to wait when I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and I even got a confirmation text message about my appointment at 2 pm on February 2nd 2017
