clothing quality
I bought by daughter 5 polos for school and they fit her perfectly, however, the buttons will not stay buttoned at all. Now I have to buy her all new shirts because of this. I can't send her to school with the polo unbuttoned and her bra showing. I shouldn't have to take all of the shirts back to the store which is out of my way to return the shirts which will probably not be in stock. The shirts are only washed, never dried and this happened after the first wear.

My 10 year old daughter and I were shopping at JCP Northeast Mall in Hurst TX. In the girls (childrens) section, my daughter went into the fitting room so she could try on a bra. She immediately walked out stating there is a man in there. I walked in and and a boy who the man said was his little brother was in there trying on clothes with their door open. I asked the man if he should be in there as this fitting room is for girls. He said they could not find another fitting room. Granted, there were no signs what so ever and the boys clothing area was next to the girls. We exited to tell the cashier. Another employee there, presumably said it is the law that requires male or female or even CHILDRENS designated fitting rooms or restrooms! I know, of course that is not the law and advised her that is a dangerous policy. I will be notifying local and national news as well at the attorney general and governor of Texas! I haven't shopped at Target for years because of this policy. AddJCP to boycott! Putting children in danger is as disgraceful as it gets!
reimbursement for returns to store
Purchased items on line and in store. Returned all on-line items. Only kept 3 items from store purchases, which cost, with tax, approximately $40. JCP credit card balance says I'm owed approximately $130. I paid one bill of $117 and another of $86.17. Have reached out to store manager, who first called me about 5 weeks ago and said he was working on the issue (Friday, 3pm) -- phone rings twice 2 hours later and then hangs up --figured it was from local JCP manager (Wilmington, NC). Call to follow up next week and learn he's on vacation (how rude to tell me he's going to get it fixed but not to let me know he's on vacation the next weeks -- not managing my expectations very well. I reach out to District Manager (Terry ?) who said he asked synchrony bank to work on the issue - but he left me no number to call him back. Have heard nothing from District Manager or Regional Bank so far. On Monday this past week, noticed two calls, no messages left, from JCP in Wilmington. Friday, Store Manager calls me at 5pm and says he wants to get this settled, but didn't give a time. I suggested next week -- he said he'd only be in the store on Wed. I'm tired of JCP's game playing. Loved the JCP store at Tyson's Corner in VA when lived there -- had no issues with any of this. All corporate does is send a message to the manager about my complaint. WHEN WILL SOMEONE DO SOMETHING TO ASSIST WITH MY ISSUE?

Our new manager doesn't take us employees serious about our problems against other employees or supervisors . He often says he wants no drama or doesn't wanna hear it that the person you are working with is probably joking learn how to take a joke. My new supervisor she yells at us as if we are dogs and than laughs and turns to the next person who is beside her and talks badly about the person she just embarrassed, she doesn't care who hears. Some times she sits in her office and watches videos or texts on her phone. And will come and check and see if we are doing the work she is getting credit for. There other employees that want to complain but are scared to. If you are giving a upgrade (higher position a raise isn't given, just more work is throwen at you...

i have been working for JCP at deptford NJ since the beginning of the summer. let me start by saying i know i'm not their #1 employee. i'm not by any means saying i deserve more than anyone else. but i had an issue with my scheduling for school. i tried for 3 days to get in touch with my manager and only today did i get called into the office just to be told that my request to not be scheduled late shifts (because for my EMS training i work 6am to 6pm and getting 5 hours of sleep isn't enough in that profession. so i simply asked to not work later than 9:30. which is when the store closes.) was unacceptable. It seems like everyone else's school schedules were approved except mine. i told my HR manager (the person who interviewed me) from the beginning that my schedule would be changing starting in the fall. and then she continued to berate me and insult me and the profession in training to enter. saying that "if your attitude is like this here, i don't know how you work at your other job because i know that wouldnt fly". (not an exact quote) even though she doesn't know anything about it or have any idea the hours and dedication and hard work i have put towards my profession. she's in fact barely ever spoken 3 words to me as a person and makes assumptions about me and what i do. i've in fact never been spoken to by a supervisor the way i was spoken to today. i'm offended. i feel completely disrespected. i don't think speaking to employees the way she spoke to me today is in any way appropriate. what i described is only one of many things she said to me, without letting me even defend myself saying quote "don't interrupt me when i'm speaking" and honestly i was so taken aback by the things that were said i couldn't even catch my breath. absolute worst experience i've ever had with a manager. and my HR manager sat by and allowed her to continue insulting me. i sat there and cried. PSA: don't insult people's biggest dream in life and biggest ambition just to assert your power. it's humiliating and absolutely unacceptable in the workplace.

I've been a JC Penny customer for many many years. I've just started this year ordering from you on line. So far so good. Until today. I placed an order earlier today. After looking over my order, I noticed an item I wanted two of, had only been ordered as one. I called customer service for help. The first thing I did was agree to do a survey after my call. I asked if they could add it to my order. Said I was too laye. I asked if they could help me out with shipping. She said no. I didn't spend enough money. I feel this was very selfish on your part not to help me out. I have spent a lot of money in your stores and online. My mistake when I ordered. But I feel you made a mistake not standing by your good customers.

same day pickup/ customer service rep
On 8/17 my daughter and I went to the Kerrville, TX store to do some school shopping. When we checked out, I was unable to get the coupons to pull up on my JCP app so I asked the girl if she had any coupons (which they normally do) to which she said no too, ok fine whatever, but then the older cashier behind her tells her to give me $10 off and she says ok but never did give me. I was kinda mad but ok no big deal. Well today I did an online order for a same day pickup and 4 hours later I get an email that they had cancelled it. I check my bank account to make sure my funds were credited back and they were but the rewards that I had used weren't in my JCP account.
I call the 800# and get a rep out of Topeka, KS and explain what happened to her. She then tells me that if an order is cancelled that you don't get the points back. I then ask why if they're technically not being used and she gets an attitude about how when I cancelled the order. I then got rude right back at her (a thing I don't like doing since I've worked retail for years) and told her yet again that they are the ones who cancelled and she tells me that I shouldn't have left my order sitting there for more than 10 days. That was it for me I then had to get really loud and cut her off so that she would open her ears and actually listen to me that I had ordered the item at 7 this morning and got the cancellations shortly after noon. She then ask why did they cancel the order then, how in the hell do I know i don't work there. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then tells me oh well you'll get your rewards back in 24 hours, but I'm thinking they won't be on there. This is the 4th time in a row now that I've had an issue with either the store and now with the online ordering. Think I'll be going to belk from now on, at least I've only had 1 rude encounter at their store so far.

I have been into this store on multiple occasion and I have noticed a manager always being rude and unprofessional with different associates.
I haven't caught the woman's last name but the associate I approached about her told me her first name is Tina.
An associate has spoken to me before stating they wanted to say something and finally told me that they were going to step up so I decided to send in a complaint about her now that I am aware that they are comfortable with talking about the situation without fear.
Seeing mistreatment of the workers breaks my heart and makes me not want to shop in the stores.

I did clothe shopping at JC Penney's and was told I would receive 35% off my purchase if I applied for a JC Penney's Card. So I bought a couple of extra items for a total around 150.00. When I applied for the card and entered my SSN, I was told that a card was already in use with my SSN but a different name, female name at that. So of course I don't get the 50 buck discount and have spent too much time on the phone trying to get resolve. I've finally gotten a hold of the Fraud dept. and they have supposedly cancelled the fraudulent account. No one can tell me how someone is allowed to use my SSN to apply for a card but use a totally different name. How does the company do a credit check and approve it with my SSN but not my name? I want more than, "oh we will send you something in the mail in 60 days". Identity theft is someone stealing my name, not someone using my SSN and a made up name. That is a company error in the biggest form!

Somebody keeps using my rewards in the store and I'm really starting to get upset over it, you offer this to the customers but your employees are taking them, I've had your employees tell me other employees got fired over this but it's still not stopping them from stealing them, or my rewards are under somebody else phone number.
As much money as I spend in your store and Have no rewards. You people need to start watching your employees because if they're stealing from the customers then they're stealing from the store.

I traveled out of town for a weekend in Paso Robles, CA (August 11) and visited a JC Penney store. I bought a few items including a pair of tennis shoes and Levi's. I planned on wearing the tennis shoes that night and found a security tag. I had enough time to take them to the store with my receipt and the tag was removed. I live 21/2 hours away and a few days later took out my Levi's. There is another security tag! I have no plans on visiting Paso Robles again so I called customer service and was told "there is nothing they can do". I can't wear the pants with a security tag and JC Penney should know the store's security system clearly does not work and I am out $$ and unhappy.

On 7/8/2018 I purchased a mattress and base from JCPenney. The worst experience ever on delivery and customer service. At first everything seem to be working fine when the delivery company called to scheduled a delivery, 2 days later they called to cancel because both pieces had not arrived. Waited 2 weeks before reaching out to delivery company on a status, with no information available. Called JCPenny customer service and they could not provide any information other then we will research and get promised to return a phone call. Waited 2 weeks with no information provided and was told that there was nothing showing my previous phone calls. Called again on 8/7/2018 to see the status on the order. Customer service representative promised to do a product trace from the vendor someone would call me back 0n 8/13/2018. No phone call, I called customer service on 8/13/2018 they tell me that they don't have anything showing a trace on the product. That they would do a trace starting today. This company is very unprofessional, don't do business with them. Highly disappointed.
girls shirt
Back to school shopping at Staunton VA JcPenny. I would of spent over $500 if i didn't open a credit card. I spent over $200. We found a cute girls shirt that we loved, i held it up we agreed on it, i was holding up the wrong size. I put that one back and grabbed her size. I came home and realized the cute saying was spelled wrong.

samsung 22.6cf 4 door refrigerator
April 30, 2018, bought Samsung Refrigerator. Everything fine for 2 MONTHS. Then Ice maker froze up. The next day lost all food in freezer. Refrigerator worked fine. Two service calls later problem supposedly fixed. Tech was gone 5 minutes and refrigerator started heating up. Reading 74 degrees inside. Now nothing works no refrigeration. No ice. No freezer. Living out of coolers. It's a weekend. Can't reach service on weekend. Refrigerator making horrible sound. This piece of junk cost $2800. Penney's said their return policy is 30days. Which no one told us. Samsung wants to fix again. We're afraid we'll be gone and lose everything if it's repaired. Asked Penney's for another brand or refund. Refused. Said it was Samsung's problem.

I recently purchased t shirt for my sons for school (08/04/19). Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size for my youngest son. I called less then 24 hours to see if there was any way to correct this mistake. They could not. I then requested to cancel the order so that I could reorder the shirts as we need to get them in time for school. They told me that it could not be done. Its already to late. That I had 10 minutes from the moment I placed the order to cancel it. The agent was not friendly in telling me this information which only frustrated me. I requested to speak with a supervisor and she denied me this. Later claimed she was a supervisor. My husband then spoke with her and she stated she was the manager.These lies only upset the situation more. I had to wait to receive (received 08/10/18) the order and return and reorder in store (08/11/18). I went to the store and started this process. The money was placed on a gift card and rang in with the correct sizes and was told that it would take another 4-7 business days to get the shirts. That I would have to pay extra to have it sent faster. About 6 hours after processing the order I received an email stating that they cannot verify funds and that I was to call within 72 hour or my order would be cancelled . I called (about 1 hour after receiving the email) and was on the phone for 1 hour and 16 min and spoke with 4 different people. All of which I was put on the waiting list each time I was transferred. Only for them to tell me they cannot make changes to my billing information at this time and to call back in 24 hrs to see if they can do anything then. The entire transaction for the new order was done in store by the sales clerk with a gift card. There should be no issue verifying funds. The gift card department even verified that the money was on the card. No one can seem to do anything because of the "system". My husband and I did not intend to wait till the last 1-2 weeks to get the school clothes taken care of but do to state of emergency in our area it was postponed. This experience with JcPenny's has been the worst and no one seems to be able to do anything to help.
So listen close you wanna give me [censored] about the process of my order go for it but DO NOT come at me about my love for my child. You know nothing about that. Me knowing his size or not has absolutely nothing to do with it. Kids do this thing called growing and so figuring out what fits best is normal. Brands and styles fit differently on people.
Also, a supervisor and a manager are two different things. A supervisor has a boss called a manager. Different positions with different responsibilities.

I placed an order on line for a pair of shoes listed in the above mentioned subject line. I am s o upset with JC Penney because I have updated ny address on 2 different occasions.
This above mentioned order was sent to 1049 Luke Street, Alvin, TX 77511. I updated our address when we moved back home to Rockford, IL in 2016. My address is 6180 Carriage Green Way p, Rockford, IL 61108. I also updated it again when I was having trouble placing an order on line and had to have an agent help me. When he asked me if I was sending this to the TX address I said no, and he helped get the address changed again and said "I was good to go" and that from now on it would show the correct address. I have received other orders from online that come to the correct address. Why would this revert back to TX? My bill comes to the IL address.
How do I know that the person living at the TX address will send them back? I have done everything I know to do to update my address and this should have not happened! I refuse to pay for these shoes unless they are returned back to JC Penney and remailed to the correct address.

I brought both of my daughters to the pecanland mall in monroe, la. to have there hair colored/highlighted and trimmed. I spent $145.00 My youngest hair was to be striped of the color that was in it and then have highlightes put in. Her hair is now green. The stylest did not strip the other color out first like she was supposed to. My oldest daughters scalp was burning, you could feel the heat with your hand, so she washed the hair treatment out after only 5 mins of it being on her hair. Stylest said she had an allergic reaction to it. Which was not true. The stylest had just put way to much of the stuff on her hair and it was not letting her scalp breath/ get air to it. So the little time it was on there it made it turn a blue gray color in the front. The lady never once apologized or said she would fix it on a different date nor did she offer me a discount. I am thoroughly pissed, my kids are mortified, and now we have to deal with their school. They are not allowed to have hair colored in any way but natural colors that was the reason we went in the first place was to have the colors taken out but the colors are now brighter than they were before we went in.

When asked to speak to a supervisor, she disconnected the call after telling me my order wasn't there. I called back in which another rep told me my order was there and apologized to me for how I was treated. I attempted to file a formal complaint and was told that JC Penney has no way to track the rep that took the call.
