price adjustment on apparel
I went into the JC penny. Location: lakeside Mall (sterling heights), for the sole purpose of getting a price adjustment on an outfit I purchased on June 19. Normally 30days is the cut off & no where on my receipt did it say anything regarding a cut off period! But when I got to the register the very Rude cashier instantly informed me that the cut off was 7days after purchase "DIDNT YOU KNOW THAT" she asked. Of course I didnt or I wouldn't be there. She called a manager via telephone to verify. Then said, would you like to buy another one its nice material! Really?! No I would not. As I walk off she asks "would you like this rubberband"? I was LIVID! What an idiot. I think her name was Mary, really thin. Fairly new to the store (I'm a regular so I know) she worked by sports wear/dress area. Feeling her incompetence I went to another register, she followed me. Then called that register when she went back to inform them I was trying to get a price adjustment as if I was a criminal trying to get away with something. I've never in all my life been treated with such disrespect. I am a black woman, she is white..I'd hate to think she was racist but it was pretty obvious. I have a JC penny credit card, I've shopped at this location and many others for YEARS. Never one complaint, I could not let this slide. Horrible experience. Just horrible & very disheartening. Its still on my spirit?

I was just at the Jcpenney store in San Antonio at The Rim shopping mall. Stood in line waiting for two of your cashiers who were joking around and taking their time checking people out. April was my cashier and kept having problems checking out the people in front of me and finally finished. I got up to the register and she rang me up and then I had to wait while the people that just left her register came back and had to have her take the security tag off a pair of shoes which should of have been done while she was ringing them out. She finally gave me a total and I paid then hit some button on the register and didn't know what she hit and I stood there waiting for a receipt which never came out of the machine. She then turned around and asked the guy behind her what the "middle" button was and what did it do when you pressed it. At that point I was so irritated with all the unprofessionalism and screwing around at the register I told her I was in a hurry and I had to leave so never did get a receipt.
losing rewards:jcp stealing from customers
I purchased a comforter and used 6 rewards I had earned - Total of $60.00. I had to return the comforter coz it was too small providing I bought a cal king size. When I went to jcp in Spring Hill, FL I was told that they can take the return but unable to issue back my rewards and to call rewards department and they are able to do that. I called and was on hold for about half hour before I finally got to speak with a customer representative. She told me that they don't give back the rewards. She then just put me on hold and passed the cal to Todd, the floor supervisor and he said again that they don't issue and the customer service gave me wrong information. I told him Kolhs issues back rewards upon returns as with other companies. This is just down right stealing. I am a platinum card holder and I purchase and look forward for the rewards but I guess that is how they make money by stealing from customers. I will continue making complaints. It is not fair. $60 is a lot to just loose or to be stolen. Jcp customers BEWARE!
catalogue order threw store
On June 26th I was in your store in Marlborough, ma. I fell in love with a romper in the juniors department and it was not in my size. I asked if it could be orders the clerk said yes and ordered it for me. I live in East Greenwich, RI and was visiting a friend from where I use to live. So I asked if it could be sent to the Warwick, RI store. So that is where it is to be sent. I asked how long will it take? Tge clerk said 4 to 5 days. So at tge end of that week I called the Warwick store and was told it would be in on July 5th. I just called today and was told there was a shortage and they would look on their sales floor to see if they had one for me and call me back. I received a call a back and was told that it was shipped out on June 29th and due to July 4th it had not arrived yet and te next truck is monday. The reason I am writing is because if it was not going to ship out until 3 days after I order it and a holiday was coming up why would I have been told it would be ready to pick up in 4 to 5 days? Also for me to order something on June 26th and now it is July 6th and still don't have it is not right either and I might have it on July 10th I am planning on wearing it July 15th, but not if I don't have it. Is thing that can be done for in inconvience of having to wait extra time for my oder when i was told it woukd be in sooner? My oder number is #[protected].

I placed a fairly large online order([protected]) on 6/23/17. One of the items I purchased was a 2pc and I didn't receive any tights. My complaint is because I was told that I only have two options 1. Return the item in the store, tell them what happened and possibly order again. 2. Send the shirt back for a refund. I have a MAJOR ISSUE with this! As I customer, why do I have to do work for something that your company messed up ?!?!? I have never in my live bought anything from JCPenney in store or online. This will be my last time ever purchasing anything from the store because of this experience. We are moving and waiting two weeks to return the item by mail and then possibly getting the item again is not something that I would like to do. All I wanted was my daughters pair of tights to go with the cute shirt that I found online… Is that too much to ask ? Is JCPenney not in the business of satisfying their customers?

I have grown up shopping at JC Penny and the staff has always been great and friendly till today. I had a young girl assist me Diana Lopez and she was the worst employee I have ever met. She gave me dirty looks for asking her to assist me in getting the correct shirt that fits me. She also talked very rudely and with the worst attitude ever. How can someone hire someone who is so self centered and has no goal of assisting customers? She made me have the worst possible shopping experience. I expect this store in Brea to fix this issue or I will have to take matters up to someone hire up in the company. We as customers cannot shop if the staff is not friendly nor willing to help!
window covering
This is what I sent to jc penny complaint and I also sent it thru there chat line and I have heard nothing at all
(We are not window experts) my wife and I went to jc penny is spring hill florida for window coverings and spent a value of over $13, 000.00 for window coverings most of which we cannot use. Our house was being built when we first went in for a sale jc penny was having. We spoke to the sales person and she told use what to do and how to measure the windows to give her the inside measurements, so we did as we were told to do. When we got back to the store we had not only the window sizes we had pictures on a ipad. We talked about which window covering to use and how to use them. The sales person was very helpful and recommend we put the coverings on the outside of the window instead of inside the windows so that we would not have to worry about being exact on the measurements as you would with inside mounts, so we did. The sales person said repeatedly said “I added 1 1/2 inches to each side for the outside mounting on each side”. The one thing she did not add was any additional for the height of the window mounting, for which we did not know was necessary as we again are not the window experts they are. So now all of our window coverings are 4 inches short. When the jc penny window installer came to our home to install the covers and he called the store and told them the issue and that the length was exactly the inside measurement of the window just like what they told us to give them and they did not add for the outside install. He asked us why we did not use there window size service and throughout the purchase it was never mentioned. We went to the store and spoke with chris the manager is that department (She was very rude throughout or conversation) and she said "it is not jc penny's problem". She would not bring out the sales person (Who was there during our second conversation) or would not call the installer who told us she was wrong to do the sizes the way she did.
We spend a lot of money a money at jc penny and to be treated the way we were by chris was rude and insulting.
If we cannot fix this problem we can start by picking up the washer and dryer we purchased and take this matter in another direction.
shirt sizing
So I went to a JC Penny store going out of business today 7/2/2017 in Lodi California on all purchases areally final.
I purchased two mens dress shirts. One shirt is a Stafford size 17 1/2 - 36 37. I have three of these hanging in my closet. I seen no reason to try it on. So I get home and guess what it's two small. What is with that? The same tag wrong size.
I tied on a Van Heusen 17 1/2 34 35 with a T shirt on fit was fine this was one that had been opened and hanging on a rack I put it back and took one still in its wrapping. I get home and it was to small not much but enough to say I will not wear it.
So now I have two shirts I got a great deal on but to small .
Now I ask my self is the thing to do is start unwrapping shirts trying them on making a mess for your employees to go back and cleanup after me. That is not who I am .
I would like to know if you are able to do any thing for this unfortunate sizing issue.

customer service/honoring sales in burleson town center store
Yesterday at the south Fort Worth/ Burleson Town center Store I wanted to purchase two pairs of converse shoes, the sign by the shoes said $5 off and all of the CONverse had a tag on them that said buy one get one 50% off... however when i went to check out that is not how they rang up, the cashier asked a manager to look, after several mins she finally came back and said sorry no it's just the 5 off that's all you get, I explained to her that they all had that tag on them, she said you can't get both sales, it's not $5 off and bogo, I said, ok... but they all have the tag on them that says they are? She said well no not now they are taking them off that shouldn't be there? But again they were there, your not going to do that? She said no you just don't get them then, so I said fine, just take them off, I continued with the rest of my checking out even though I really thought a out just leaving everything there from that point... it was completely unprofessional and embarrassing behavior, especially from a manager which the cashier confirmed she was...

I was in your Victorville store located in the mall, I found a pair of pants along with shirts, with a sign saying" Tops and Bottoms $9.99. I took two pairs of pants up to the register to check out, when rung up, the price came up different from your sign, the cashier went looking for the location and found the wrong spot so i showed her their location and sign, even though the sign said in BOLD, BLACK WRITTING, "TOPS AND BOTTOMS ON SALE $9.99. Iwas told only the tops were 9.99. This kind of customer srrvice where your store tricks the customers is wrong! I will not be shopping at your stores anymore!

I am a loyal JCP customer and have never lodged a complaint before . I have been very satisfied with my shopping experience at JCP in Wayne, N.J. Today, however was very different. I returned an item purchased by my daughter on-line for her. The sales clerk did not know how to do it and needed assistance. That took longer than usual but he tried and was courteous. I then did a little shopping for myself. I was waiting at the cash register for my turn an older gentlemen was trying to make a purchase and wanted to use a coupon from his phone. He was not sure how to do it and asked the cashier to help, but she wouldn't. I gave him my phone with the coupon ready to go. Now it was my turn to check out . The young lady started to ring me up, but a shirt i had picked up for my husband did not have a price tag on it. She went to get another one. Then one of the blouses I wanted to purchase did not have a tag on it either. I told her it was the last one left of that style, but they had one more in a different color. She told me to go get it. I did. When I returned she was ringing up another customer and I had to wait. Then a young man came over to finish ringing me up. He did not want to use the shirt I had brought back because the pattern was different. He said he would look it up on the computer. I said O.K. He looked it up said it was 12 $ I said fine. He did not write the number down though to put on other computer where the other cashier had stated, so he did it again. Now he was having trouble and a different cashier came to help him. Then they were confused as to what was already rung up and decided to start over with the entire purchase. This meant he had to look up the shirt again for the #. Then a bathing suit top did not have a tag on it, so the original cashier tried to look it up on the computer but could not find it, so the second cashier tried to look it up as well. He could not find it . The third cashier sent the first cashier to go on the floor because I told them there was another one on the floor. She came back five minutes later and said there were none. I knew their was because I had saw it when I was shopping. So they rang me up without the swim top. I went back and retrieved the other one, the JCP " professional " said it wasn't there a minute ago. I said it was in the same spot as it was when I was shopping. I got back to the register and was finally rang up. I asked for a pen and their names and I had to ask 3x . When I asked for their names the first cashier said she did not know the second cashiers name . Finally The third cashier gave all their names . I have never been so frustrated and poorly treated at JCP before. If you think this note is long, you have no idea how long it took me to check out ! Over a half hour. The Names of the people who did not help me and were incompetent and poor at customer service were Ebony, Andrea and Tyrone. Your consideration for my loyalty and good shopping record would be greatly appreciated. This occurred at 6/29 at 5:45 to 6 :30. I would like a discount on my next shopping purchase.Thank you

I purchased a gold chain with a gold cross for my son for Christmas 2016 and paid $750. Because he is in middle school I didn't let him wear it daily so he wore it between Christmas and New Years, then again for Easter at the end of March 2017. The chain broke within three days and when I took it back to JC Penney (Coral Springs, FL) the associate said it's been over 45 days, nothing she can do. I paid another jeweler $35 for repair and put it in the jewelry box until last week when we went on vacation. Today, June 29 2017, the chain broke again, in a different spot, and this time he lost the cross attached to it. I called customer service, was on hold for 32 minutes and had to hang up.
I would like to know if JCP stands behind their products and also what are my options at this point (six months after the purchase), considering that had I let my son wore the necklace every day, it would've broke at least twice in the 45 day return period.
overdue refund due me
Still waiting for refund of $35.86 due me for an internet order for jacket placed on 4/22/2017. Jacket was to be delivered to local store for pick up and was never received by the store and was subsequently cancelled of 5/8/2017. I was told by store personal at 5/8/2017 I would receive my refund within 30 days. Never received refund. Called customer service several time to no avail (placed on hold each time for well over 10 minutes). Returned to local store on 6/15/17 - they could not "really" help me - store personal placed phone call on my behalf and said I would received a return phone call in a day or two. No phone call. Tried calling customer service several more times - same result. Sent email to customer service on 6/20/17. Received email from customer service on 6/28/17 - as much as they would like to help me - they can't. Suggested I return to local store.

The day after I got my ring resized it started irritating my skin a lot, then the band cracked and a diamond fell out. Got it fixed the next day the crack was back and you can tell the diamond was poorly put it you can tell exactly what one it was. Spent a lot of money on it and it looks like [censor] excuse my language but it does! And it's fake it irritates my finger it did not do that before I got it resized. To whom this may concern, I am writing to let someone know about what is going on in the JCP stores, I have always known as the customer comes first because without us customers their would not be any business. I have been shopping at JCP for years and I was always satisfied with the products that I purchased the store manager at the time was Joe and he was a wonderful man and always made sure whatever I needed it was ordered and I was a satisfied customer. Well I found out that he had gotten ill and had to leave Roswell, New Mexico and I was deeply saddened the point that I am getting at is the employees are very rude they never offer to help sometimes I would hear the employees talking about their personal lives, now if I need help looking for something special for a dinner party or a birthday all the employees that I ask even the store manager melissa loose I believe is her name would just point to a fixture without helping. There was a time I went to shop and I was accused of shoplifting the employees were all looking at me and the lady pointed her finger at me and said that person is her and I have her Facebook picture, It was my mother's birthday and I wanted her to pick out a few sets of clothing and when I was rudely pointed at and accused of stealing my mother only bought 1 blouse when she had 3 outfits and shoes my mother was upset so was I we paid for what we needed which was 3 items and left. I have a JCP credit card account and I want it closed I will no longer shop in this store again here is Roswell NM management should be more professional instead of talking about her personal life and laughing really loud at the jewelry counter.

I went to jcp salon at the kennewick wa location. I called the day before to make an appointment and I specifically asked for a designer or sr designer. I was a new customer and wanted to take advantage of the 15 percent off any salon service coupon. The front desk lady told me she would put me with a designer or sr designer and that it would vary from 65 dollars to 100. I got to my appointment and the stylist had a very thick accent and I heard her say it was going to cost 95 dollars. I said that was ok she offered a haircut for an additional 45 dollars I said no all I have on me is 105 and she didn't say anything. The stylist was great and my hair looked great and once the appointment was over I was going to pay I saw the total was 195. I was horrified I asked them if I could use the coupon they said I couldn't use it for a master stylist and I told them I asked for a designer or sr and they ignored me. I told Regis that I didn't want a master and if I would have known it was going to be that much I wouldn't have gone. And that i didnt want a master cause i wanted to use the coupon. I got ignored. I only had 105 on me so i had to leave and grab 90 dollars from my savings which was all I had in my savings . I am very furious this was a terrible first time experience and I think I should get a 90 dollar refund. At least for what I was forced to pay. The lack of communication with the front desk office to me was terrible and nobody seemed to care that they messed up. I shop here for everything clothes, glasses, photos this is the 1st time I used the salon and the service was terrible!

To whom it may concern. I purchased my son a pair of Nike shoes on 1/27/16 and he hasn't really wore the shoes that much and they are coming apart at the top of the shoe. As much as we pay for this shoes they should not come apart. This is very upsetting when you buy a product and the quality in them doesn't seem to last very dissatisfied customer.

I phone Jcpenney today concerning my bill that they said was late. Which was May. I made two payments in one months which was May and June, and was still charge a late fee. I have never missed a payment, always paid on time and have been loyal customer. I spoke to a supervisor by the name of Angela who did nothing, but wasted my time kept apologizing and did nothing to help me.

On June 25, 2017, I attempted from 2:00 PM CST until 11:00 PM CST to place an online order with JCPenny. When I first started using my home computer, "My Bag" was not the same as what I had been working on my android phone. I had to start over. At 6:00 PM CST, I noticed that my "Saved Items" had disappeared on my home computer. I checked my android phone and they were there, but very shortly they cleared out since I was on my home computer. So I started all over again. At 10:00 PM, I again lost my "Saved Items". That was the last straw for me this evening. I did "Chat" to complain. They said they would contact technical support on the web. They also offered to place my order, but since I lost everything, I said "No Thank You" as I had no clue the item information. A while later, I noticed that my "Saved Items" were back, but it was not the most recent list. It defaulted back to what was earlier in the day. This was unfortunate as I had already deleted a lot of items to make room for new items. The system was slow as I am sure many were taking advantage of there discount of 30% between 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM EST. I however, was not fortunate to be able to take advantage of this as I was not going to give them my business after a long day of doing nothing but try to give them my business. They lost a good sale and I will be sure to tell family and friends of my issue. I should be compensated on June 26, 2017, to place the order at the same prices (unfortunately I won't recall what the sale prices were) and with the 30% discount for my inconvenience and my time spent when I could have done other things. I don't like to go into the store to shop, so they may have lost a long standing customer after this waste of time!

I needed work shoes for work and since my husband has an account with Jcpennys, I decided to look for shoes at Eastridge mall branch. I Found what I was interested in, but shoes were brown. I needed black. I searched for a few boxes under table but did not find my size and color. I went up to sales lady at register, "AGUENDA" with a sample of the shoe and asked politely, "Do you have anymore inventory in the back on these shoes?" She replied "Oh, those are new so it's regular price." Confused and surprised by her response, I replied, "I wasn't Inquiring on the price, I wanted a different color". I said "Thank you" and walked away. I explained to my husband what happend and he started helping me look at other shoes. "AGUENDA" walked by and my husband wanted to give it a try to ask again, just in case she was misunderstood me. He asked " Do you have another color in these shoes or similar?" She replied, "Oh no. Those are new on our stock, but we have more shoes in the "Clearance section", it's over there." My husband and I looked at each other and I replied " It's not about the price, I am looking for a specific color!" She kept quiet after that. I still thanked her but I told her we didn't need her help. She repositioned the shoes to another place after we put it down. I am so disgusted by this representative in "CUSTOMER SERVICE"! We were not in business attire, but were wearing gray t-shirt and jeans then sweat pants and white t-shirt. Did that matter? Apparently to her because of the way we were treated. I explained we, at no point, mentioned "PRICE". Very disappointing because we normally shop at JcPennys for clothes for family, but she made an impact on our decision to even go back again. Worst service ever!
