This incident was the first and only time I have interacted with JustAnswer. I called with what I thought was the $1 fee to ask a question, then would be charged if I received an acceptable answer from the "expert". The "expert" was laughably inept, able only to ask the simplest question, such as did you check the oil. This was a classic Mercedes, I know how to service them for most things and it appears that I knew more than the "expert" from the start. She should have immediately disqualified herself. I rejected her assessment (in a courteous and professional manner) at the time.
My wife received a credit card possible fraud alert on the first $34 charge. I thought it was taken care of. Today, we received a second fraud alert. When I delved into it, I found that I had signed up for a monthly subscription to JustAnswer and the payment has been made. In the most polite language,
JustAnswer needs to refund this $68 charge, though I suspect there is some fine print somewhere that covers them..
Desired outcome: Please refund my $68. Please review your website to make it easier to know when we are going to be charged and especially when we are signing up for a monthly subscription, as it is far too vague.
