I'm told my representatives there's a code on my account waiting on a form that has been received but only that department can release the code and there's no way to communicate with that team. Meanwhile, my rent all bills are past due!

It is quite ridiculous that we have to sit through a 7 minute disclosure about the new debit card only to be told the hold cue is full every time. There is surely another way to get the disclosure information to claimants. Also it is near impossible to get through on the phone lines we don't appreciate being hung up on after 5 hours of calling

Unable to get help
This has been an ongoing issue for my husband and myself since having to file for unemployment. In December 2020 after being unemployed for more than a month I tried several times to contact the KDOL using their phone number and Amelia the online assistant. Every time I call the customer service numbers the que is full and the call is disconnected. When I tried using Amelia, I was advised that I needed to contact customer service. It was a never-ending circle that always ended in frustration and tears.
Initially I wanted to speak with someone to see what effect cashing out my 401K would have on my unemployment status. Eventually I had no choice but to cash out 401k so we could eat and pay the utility bills. Throughout all of this I continued to file my weekly unemployment claims in hopes that it would all get worked out and we would get back pay.
On the week that I cashed my 401K, I tried contacting KDOL again to find out if and how I needed to show that money on my unemployment for that week. I had the same results; I could not reach anyone and could not find any answers online. I proceeded to file my weekly claim and marked that I had received a pension to account for the 401K money. The first week of January I received a letter from KDOL it was a Pension Statement I was confused on how to fill it out because the questions did not pertain to my situation. I again tried numerous times to contact KDOL to get help regarding the form. Unfortunately, with the holidays and mail delays I did not receive the letter until January 5th, the day after it needed to be completed and turned in.
I have call logs of the many times I tried to call, but I was never able to reach anyone at KDOL until I received my notice that my unemployment had been denied for a different issue. I filed an appeal for that issue and during the hearing I was informed about the pension paperwork issue. Because I had not received the notification for that denial the appeal hearing for the pension issue was rescheduled for May 5th so they could resend the paperwork.
I attended the May 5th phone hearing advising appeals referee Todd Richardson that I had made many attempts to contact the KDOL regarding the paperwork and had not turn it in because I was unable to get assistance and I did not want to provide false or incorrect information by not filling it out correctly. He advised that I should have just turned it in anyways.
The end of May I received the decision notification that my appeal was denied, and I would be ineligible for benefits. I decided to appeal that decision, I provided cell phone records, emails and text message to show that I had gone above and beyond to try to contact KDOL. Since I do not have access to a fax machine or money to pay to have it faxed, I mailed my request to appeal on June 1st to the Kansas Employment Security Board of Review as listed on the decision notification.
I had not received any notification regarding my appeal or additional hearings, so I contacted the KDOL appeals department last week. At that time, I was notified that they did not receive my appeal request. I was advised that I would need to resubmit the appeal and provide a good reason that it was outside of the 16 days to appeal.
I am so disheartened and beaten down by this system I have considered giving up many times over the last 6 months. I continue to fight through the hopelessness and depression for my children in the hope that I will be able to find a job again soon. In the meantime, we have defaulted on a loan, lost our car insurance, have two unregistered vehicles and my loose our house due to the complications with KDOL.
Desired outcome: Get my unemployment pay.
Need to get all the Democrats out of Kansas and screw kdol no matter what one appeal hearing says they will just keep stringing you on so f them and the state of kansas
THANKS TO governor Kelly KDOL a disgrace I would like to have Kansas participation in forensic audit to see if Kelly was legally voted in by people or fixed as with other States. Governor Kelly is a failure. So many peoples lives ruined due to KDOL and her broken promises of it being fixed. You spend about 5 minutes listening to a pre-recorded message just to be told at the end all phones are busy and it disconnects you! I find this hard to believe when I timed it just right. KDOL owes me money President Trump passed an extension which Governor Kelly said she needed instructions on back in December and kept making excuses NOT to honor it as all the Democrats in this country trying to quote make him and his administration look bad- Truth is we were safe and taken care of dispute the bad eggs of the swing states and infiltrated bad actors all RINOs and our bordered were secure! Now as illegals flood in with the pandemic how can they expect us to take them serious in this new Admin when they do nothing to protect legal citizens as they sneak illegals to all 50 states on our dime spreading not only Cov29 but God only knows what else that these people disease brought in with them as the counties from don’t have strict immunization rules as the United States. Sad I have to write on this about politics but since they are removing peoples voice that does not agree with theirs I have no choice to get my factual information out to warn others. I hope more people call in to Kansas and demand an audit so that the rightful winners can be placed in office and not clowns like Kelly!
This has nothing to do with Governor Kelly. In fact she has tried to fix the problem. Indeed, both Democratic governors of this state started the process of getting KDOL updated to modern technology so that it could begin acting like a legit agency. Unfortunately, once voted out, Sebelius' efforts to get KDOL up to par was completely undone by (R) Brownback.
So not only are you wrong about Kelly being the problem, you are actually blaming one of two people who have tried to fix the system but have been confounded every step of the way by your "winners", who I am assuming you are referring to Republicans.
If we want anything done about this, we need a blue sweep in Kansas, STAT. Because Republicans apparently do not view unemployment as legitimate and continue to keep KDOL using technology and service expected in the 1970s.
It is true that KDOL is an absolute joke, that tens of thousands of people had their accounts compromised by hackers and fraudsters. But now it's time to fix that system so it never fails so massively again. I support and applaud Kelly's efforts, but fear that if she is voted out, and a Republican put in her place, they will overturn those efforts once again as they did before.
Republicans - stop lying to hide your own failures. YOU are the problem in this state and in this country right now.
Receiving payments
My name is lorena carter, I have not been paid since the last week of december 2020! My account has been "on hold" for fraud for over 5 months! I have emailed, mailed, faxed and even verified my identify with the police department! But somehow my account is still red flagged for fraud. More recently, I have received a letter about my unemployment claim for "this unemployment year" which began about mid june being denied and stating I am no longer eligible for unemployment from mid june on. But still no word about my 5 months of unemployment i'm owed! This is ridiculous!

Missing benefits and negligence
Problems started when benefits were extended on 3/14/21. I started work, thankfully, on 3/29/21. I have yet to receive my benefits for the weeks of 3/14 and 3/21 as well as 3 FPEUC payments. Spoke to two reps with zero resolution. One lied and the other filed a form. It's almost 5 months and missing $1806 that could really help get out of the rears.

I have been waiting for my back pay of my weekly claims back in jan 16th to march 23rd I am missing 10 weeks of payments . I did my weekly claims with a worker over the phone she told me it will be 2 weeks when I will get my checks for the back payment its been 9 weeks now I been calling every week just to hear the same answer wait alittle longer call back next week . well its going on 9 weeks now I even faxed in my weekly claims to make sure they received it to process it . than some worker leaves me voice mail last week saying all my payments are up to date ! yes my weekly are up to date but my back pay an missing payments from jan to march I havent received yet ! they tell me everything looks good an to wait for my payments but how long I been waiting over 2 months for it now

Hi my name is Stacey Ott KDOL pretty much mislead me for a whole year before telling me I could not apply for PUA and I was not eligible for regular unemployment because I missed work due to my brothers near death experience and didn't file a appeal within 16 days of a letter I never received. Mislead me that I could still file a appeal even know I was not sent any publication on the not addressed situation. I was not doing well. He is my last blood relative left. Just the news of having been told not a good enough reason tramatizes me. Who would even have the nerve to make a appeal at that? More like a lawyer. Sorry I'm just still very upset with the way it was handled. The thousands of phone calls and being told I was late on a appeal never received. I was told I could apply for PUA and it was for people who are contractors or didn't receive unemployment and wouldn't normally be qualified and was not able to due to my late appeal. Which pipefitting trade is contracting. We work contracts and go on to the next job and being told my account was locked for suspicion of fraud after all the documents sent over months and months with no response. I sent multiple documents including birth certificate, social security card, State ID, twice card, two bills in my name signed with the same address as they had on file, tax information, TWIC card ECT on multiple occasions over months and months. Even sent a certified letter notirized to the secretary of labor to make sure they received it unlike my denial letter they supposedly sent me. And the nerve to tell me they could not see my documents in the first fax when I'm looking at it and it was fine what I sent. I feel like KDOl was totally unfair. So many answered calls but not answered? I would call a hundred times straight to get ahikd of them. I don't know how many times I heard they did not know. So unfair. I've literally cried many times at the frustrations and I'm not a cry baby and now I have no vehicle, no tools because I had to pawn them for food or propane to stay warm or inverter boxes and batteries to live. It should of been able to be resolved way before it did. Covid has ruined my job industry. None of us have work the only difference is all my old coworkers have unemployment but not me I don't have a good enough reason they say. It was a battle with my brother and my home being vandalized before I got back to Kansas and then Covid. If you could only just put yourself in my shoes for a bit. I feel like I'm entitled to unemployment to be fair and I just expected KDOL to be fair unlike my employer did when I was wrongfully fired for attendance when I should of been covered by FMLA. Im sorry I just had to vent more.. I was to be honest shaken by the verbal response and waiting on a more formal explanation I guess. I suffer post tramatic stress from the situation and KDOL telling me it was not good enough reason and the denial being made. My brother was permanately disfigured and still takes blood thinners today because of the risk. He is my last blood family member left other than his two kids so the phone call received that he might not make it was rattling. I believe I was entitled to a better explanation to the harsh decision made on my claim. How does KDOL expect such timely responses when they wasn't able to provide one or even all the information? Im sorry once again to rant and I do appreciate your time if this gets read entirely by you. Not being rude just saying.

My brother was in ICU for Gangrene very close to death and I was wrongfully fired from my employer In which I should of been covered by FMLA (family medical leave act) and KDOL denied my claim saying "it wasn't a good enough reason. Also never sent me the denial papers stating the reason and said they did disqualifying me from appeal.
Desired outcome: I want my unemployment compensation or a chance to appeal.

I have been fighting my claim for over a year I qualify for all three reasons listed on their website was denied in February for pua and never heard anything regarding the whole years worth of claims before my denial which should have never happened. My claim status changed from suspended to disqualified to recently waiting for a payment card in the mail. I get on the website to check my claim status today after being told a week ago I should have applied for peuc from the begining but they didn't know what they were doing either. That came from the employees mouth herself. And my whole claim has went mia from their portal. No one knows anything I filed appeals three of them the first two being in April they tell me they haven't got to line but are working on may and June appeals. I am livid with this place. I never got approved or denied for my unemployment from February 2020 to feb 2021 and Everytime you call them they just place you on hold over and over and return with no answer. It's an emotional rollercoaster. Someone needs to learn how to run that place and run it the right way

Months of being told there fixing my account and nothing fixed
ive been waiting on unemployment since kansas put new system in. i registeted the day it came on line and all i can do is log in i get server error after log in no mayter what browser i use. ive called and spoke with them over 20 times and get the same story it has been escalted to be fixed so the filed my claim over the phone and back dated the claim weeks and want me to send id documents and some other paper work .which i have except i csnt get past log in screen to do it so tgey gsve me a portal web address which i used but when i called they say they didnt get it so i sent sgain still they didnt get it finaly talked to someone that said they had gotten it that the othrrs wernt looking in the right place but they still needed my social sec number sent well ive been back and now the portal is blocked so i called again and was told they didnt get any of it . to send it alk again i explaied my acct is nit letting me on and has been escalted 13 times in 2 months abd has never been fixed and portal has me blocked and my claim is on hold waiting on my paper work that there system wont let me send and was told the same thing try again are these people idiot they dont know wht therd doing ive got 4 kids to feed and they do know there head from there [censored] while me and my family strugle no one know wht there doing im going on 4 months of there [censored] i need help

Unemployment
I am trying to get my benefits for PUC and was told that the DOL was waiting to receive "reassurance paperwork"--that I do not have a contract or other reassurance of being rehired for an old job. I was told they were mailing forms to me and old employers. The problem is that the GetKansasBenefits.com website still has an old mailing address listed for me and I cannot change it. I have tried multiple times for the last two weeks to go online and "change personal information, " but that page does not work correctly--I cannot get it to let me type over, delete, or in any way alter the old address that shows up. I do not know what they are mailing to that old address, but I'm not receiving it and thus have no way of sending it back! I have been trying to call the contact center, but of course, the queue is still always full! (I also need to speak to someone about adding the out-of-state job that is missing from my current "determination"--I am not able to do this online either.) I need help changing the address, recovering any forms that I am supposed to be filling out but do not have, and adding the job to my list of past employers.

I applied for PUA because KDOL told me to; last Dec. 2020 instead of PEUC and I read Jerry Grasso’s – Head of communication on the internet; and your letter on line as to what is happening with PEUC; most citizens did the same as I did and applied for PUA instead of PEUC. Now I cannot find on www.GetKansasBenefits.gov where to apply for PEUC...I cannot get through to any one on the phone at KDOL or online. I sent a package of my forms and documents to KDOL in Topeka for someone to sign for Thursday, May 14, 2021, so I know they received it. I have not been employed since April 2020 to the present I am still unemployed because of COVID. I haven't received any unemployment compensation since Dec. 2020 and because KDOL owes me monies, I have lost my house and had to sell personal values to survive. 9 weeks of ui and fpuc weekly claims are pasted due

My name is Michael VanDeVyvere. I have been trying to log into my account without success. I have spoke with KDL assistance with no help. I am unable to file a claim for UI and FPUC at this time. I have not received my claim payments since March 6, 2021 with no reason except my account has been temporary been suspended. The KDL assistant said my account is labeled as "Fraud". On that chat, the agent said she would write an email to the Fraud Department and the Fraud Department will contact me. Again, I have not heard anything.
I have tried by calling everyday to find out why my account is labeled as "Fraud"? All lines are busy and the cue is full. I have spent countless hours trying to contact KDL with no success.
I have not done anything wrong, I have filled out all information as requested.
I called the LexusNexus line [protected], they checked my identity. I have not hear anything from anyone via email, text or email.

No unemployment payment for 8 weeks
I have a legitimate claim which was filed was in January, 2021... I received my determination letter that states my total benefit amount of $13078.00
I received two checks in January, 2021. Then went onto the ‘new' website and put my information in. I did not receive payment for week ending January 30, 2021. The on February 10, 2021 received payment for January 30, 2021. And according to the website a deposit (payment) for week ending February 6, 2021, was deposited on February 9;2021, but that payment was not received at Bank of America to my debit account. I called Bank of America two times and each time spoke with customer service representatives and their superiors and both said there is no record of a transaction on February 9, 2021 to my debit account. And was told to contact Kansas Dept. of Unemployment, I was not able to reach anyone by phone, so I sent a letter (that was to be signed to receive) with copies of the bank account and my complaint . I paid for a return receipt where someone would sign and have never received a return receipt or acknowledgement . As of today's date April 25, 2021, I have not received 8 weeks of payments.
Now, I cannot access my account to update my password, because the website will not accept my old password, which has been the same for 5 years or longer.
I call the numbers listed but can never get through on the phone.
I live in Mississippi, but worked for a Kansas employer in the state of Kansas and all my benefits were paid to Kansas.
I tried to re-submit a claim, but the website does not have any counties listed for any other states, just Kansas counties.

Fraud department
Hi I'm on regular ui benefits I got my first check around 12/14/20 and stopped receiving checks on 1/12/21 do to fraud I changed my direct deposit info because my bank was holding check for up to 5 days before releasing money to me so by me doing this it put my account into fraud I have sent a copy of ss card and dl three times I have talked to claim specialist a dozen times they say there's nothing they can do I've got to just sit and wait till the fraud department calls me a couple of the claim specialist sent emails escalating my account to have it reversed nothing has ever been done and I have never spoke with anybody from the fraud department and when I call the claim specialist says there's no way to contact the fraud department and there's nothing they can do there's nobody else I can talk to

I received two weeks of unemployment benefits in February & March of 2020. I need to a reprint of my 1099-G form for my taxes because it was sent to the wrong address. I am locked out of my account and cannot access the Reprint option. I have reset my password but I am still locked out. My account is should be connected to my email address, [protected]@gmail.com. I have called every available phone number on the KDOL website at least 50 times, and every single time I receive the message that all call center representatives are busy and the waitlist is full and then it hangs up.
Desired outcome: A reprint of my 1099-G form sent to 1772 Kircher Drive, St. Charles MO 63303.
I’m having the same exact issue, and am getting so frustrated. Literally just need my 1099 form, so I can finish my taxes. My login in for the new site is doing the SAME exact thing as well. Saying I’m unable to log in, even though I’ve been through the verification process. Literally don’t know what else to do as I sit and try to call any available number every day, and still have yet to get through to anybody.
I eventually got through, but it took constant calling for weeks straight. Apparently it’s auto dialers causing the problem. Just keep trying. Also, the log in issue is because their authentication system is messed up so it thinks that you failed to authenticate and you need to contact Lexis Nexis to access your account. Hope this helps (since no one that works for KDOL seems to be responding).
Can't actually reach anybody at the listed phone numbers
I've been trying to reach anybody at KDOL without success. I try for hours on end every day calling and then having to hang up because "all agents are currently busy with other claimants and the que is full". This system is the worst! I have been trying to reach someone since I lost my job at the beginning of March. I need to speak to someone at the Kansas Department of Labor. I was told to expect an email for next steps for claiming unemployment and should have received that email by 3/24/21. As of today, still no email. Someone needs to get their act together and fix this system. I would rather sit on hold for a couple of hours or be able to leave a call back number when it is my turn to speak to an actual human.
